Bergdahl Rescue Mission ‘Haunts’ Navy SEAL Team Member Eight Years Later

Retired Senior Chief Petty Officer Mike Toussaint, a burly Navy dog handler, grudgingly wiped away tears as he described the barrage of insurgent gunfire that killed his military service dog, Remco, during the search for Army Pvt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Though he was never called to testify, Toussaint served as a prospective witness in the case against Bergdahl, who last week received a dishonorable discharge from the U.S. Army, but avoided prison time for desertion, misbehavior before the enemy, and endangering troops.

The military judge ordered that Bergdahl’s rank be reduced from sergeant to private and required him to surrender $1,000 a month from his pay for 10 months. The sentencing arrived eight years after Bergdahl abandoned his outpost in Afghanistan in 2009 before the Taliban held him captive for five years.

Toussaint called the sentencing “disgusting” and said Bergdahl should have received life in prison for his “reckless” actions.

Nine days after Bergdahl’s desertion, SEAL team members Toussaint and Remco were sent on a hostage rescue operation in southeastern Afghanistan to search for the missing private. He said the team, led by Senior Chief Petty Officer Jimmy Hatch, knew prior to the July 8 mission that Bergdahl voluntarily left his post, despite earlier reports stating he was captured on patrol. Corey Feldman Living in Fear After Talking to Police

As Hollywood grapples with accusations of sexual harassment and abuse, actor Corey Feldman says he’s living in fear as he tries to expose pedophilia in the industry.

The actor sat down with HLN’s Carol Costello to discuss coming forward to the Los Angeles Police Department with accusations of abuse. The LAPD confirmed it has opened an investigation into Feldman’s allegations.

Feldman alleges that both he and his best friend, the late actor Corey Haim, were abused as child stars . . .

“I’d love to give you something juicy, but my nerves are shot,” Feldman told Costello. “I’m living in fear, not a good place to be.” (Read more from “Corey Feldman Living in Fear After Talking to Police” HERE)

Wikileaks Begins Publishing Source Code for CIA Hacking Tools

WikiLeaks began publishing the source code of alleged CIA hacking tools Thursday in a new series dubbed “Vault 8.”

The source code, according to a press release from the anti-secrecy organization, is intended to “enable investigative journalists, forensic experts and the general public to better identify and understand covert CIA infrastructure components.”

“Source code published in this series contains software designed to run on servers controlled by the CIA,” WikiLeaks writes, stressing that the material does not contain 0-day or undisclosed vulnerabilities that could be utilized by others.

Hive, the first tool featured in Vault 8, aids the agency in controlling malware installed on target devices.

“Even the most sophisticated malware implant on a target computer is useless if there is no way for it to communicate with its operators in a secure manner that does not draw attention,” WikiLeaks writes. “Using Hive even if an implant is discovered on a target computer, attributing it to the CIA is difficult by just looking at the communication of the malware with other servers on the internet.” (Read more from “Wikileaks Begins Publishing Source Code for CIA Hacking Tools” HERE)

Former Baby Parts Harvester: Planned Parenthood ‘Made Us Do the Dirty Work’

Planned Parenthood “made us do the dirty work,” an ex-procurement technician for a baby body parts harvester explained in a new video.

She outlined how Planned Parenthood profited from selling aborted baby parts to StemExpress, and how a nurse was reprimanded for throwing out fetal remains rather than letting them be harvested and sold.

Holly O’Donnell worked for StemExpress, one of the companies that found itself in the middle of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) videos showing the abortion industry’s work with the baby body parts trade.

When the CMP videos first came out, Planned Parenthood claimed that the money they received from companies like StemExpress was just reimbursement for things like shipping costs.

But Planned Parenthood never shipped the body parts, O’Donnell testified in this new video. StemExpress handled all aspects of the fetal organ harvesting process: getting patients to consent, dissecting fetuses, packaging organs, and shipping them off via FedEx. Nurse May Have Killed Over 100 Patients

A nurse who is already serving a life sentence for two murders may have killed more than 100 patients over several years at two hospitals in northwestern Germany, prosecutors said Thursday.

Investigators have completed toxicological examinations on patients who died during Niels Hoegel’s time as a nurse in the hospitals in Oldenburg and Delmenhorst, prosecutors and police in Oldenburg said. They found a further 16 cases in which he is suspected.

In late August, they said they had determined that he might have killed at least another 84 patients beyond the ones for whose murder he is already serving time. At the time, they said that they were awaiting toxicology results on another 41 fatalities, which have now been concluded. (Read more from “Nurse May Have Killed Over 100 Patients” HERE)

Newest Threat to Mental Health: Christmas Music

Are you one of those people that can’t stand hearing Christmas songs months before the holiday actually arrives? Does hearing festive carols weeks before Thanksgiving only make you upset that you haven’t eaten your turkey yet? A psychologist in Great Britain says your reactions don’t make you a Grinch because too much Christmas music is actually bad for your mental health.

Clinical psychologist Linda Blair claims the constant barrage of Christmas tunes too early in the season forces people to remember all the things they have to do before the holiday. Blair says the songs are a reminder to buy presents, cater parties, organize travel, and all the more stressful chores during Christmas. “You’re simply spending all of your energy trying not to hear what you’re hearing,” Blair tells Sky News.

The psychologist added that store workers are most at risk for being worn down by the catchy beats. She states that hearing the same songs over and over each day make workers struggle to “tune it out” and they become “unable to focus on anything else.” “Christmas music is likely to irritate people if it’s played too loudly and too early,” Blair explained to reporters.

Grandmother Sacrificed Self to Save Grandson in Church Shooting

As a shooter attacked parishioners in a Sutherland Springs church Sunday, a grandmother stepped in front of her 18-year-old grandson, absorbing the bullets and saving his life, according to a family member.

Peggy Lynn Warden, 56, of La Vernia, was killed in the mass shooting at First Baptist Church that also left her grandson, Zachary Logan Poston, with multiple gunshot wounds in the arms and legs, said Korri Scheel Stevens, Warden’s sister-in-law and Poston’s great-aunt.

“She is our hero,” Stevens said. “She saved Zachary’s life.”

Stevens first shared the family’s story on a GoFundMe page created to help raise money for Poston’s medical expenses and his college education.

Warden was among the 26 people killed by Devin Patrick Kelley, who walked into the church with an assault rifle and opened fire. (Read more from “Grandmother Sacrificed Self to Save Grandson in Church Shooting” HERE)

Celebs Accused of Sexual Misbehavior Have Another Thing in Common

The growing number of celebrities accused of sexual misbehavior have another thing in common: They have unleashed vitriolic and sometimes violent rhetoric against Donald Trump.

Actor Charlie Sheen is the latest celebrity publicly accused of sexual offenses.

Actor Dominick Brascia, a friend of the late child star Corey Haim, told Hollywood Reporter that Sheen raped the then-13-year-old Haim 30 years ago on the set of “Lucas.” . . .

Sheen, who confirmed on the “Today” show that he was HIV positive, is denying the allegations . . .

Just hours after actress Debbie Reynolds died on Dec. 29, Sheen wished death upon then President-elect Donald Trump. (Read more from “Celebs Accused of Sexual Misbehavior Have Another Thing in Common” HERE)

U.S. Muslim Stokes Violence Against Coptic Christians

Some of the most vicious incitement against Christians in Egypt originates from a petite Egyptian woman sitting at a computer in her home in a quiet suburb of New Jersey.

It is not as though Egypt’s Muslim community needs any encouragement to go after Coptic Christians, but Arat Oraby does her part, calling the Copts a “gang” that needs to be boycotted and subjugated.

“The problem of the Christians in Egypt is that they follow the church gang,” she wrote. “They believe that (Coptic Pope) Tawadoros the criminal, or any other criminal who will replace him, was selected by the Lord and speaks on His behalf. The church gang deceives its followers in this despicable way, just like a thief or a swindler from the Middle Ages.”

She often refers to Christians as “Nazarenes,” as they are called in the Quran and by ISIS, and tells Egyptians to boycott Coptic businesses and buy only from fellow Muslims.

A Coptic priest was murdered on the streets of Cairo last week by a young Muslim, the latest in a string of murders and church bombings that began more than a year ago. (Read more from “U.S. Muslim Stokes Violence Against Coptic Christians” HERE)

U.S. Seeks Restrictions on Mexican Trucking Under NAFTA

The U.S. has proposed another difficult change to the North American Free Trade Agreement that could eventually restrict long-haul Mexican truckers from operating in the country, according to people familiar with the discussions.

American negotiators asked to remove Mexico’s long-haul industry from a Nafta chapter on cross-border services, according to an industry official familiar with the proposal who isn’t authorized to speak publicly. That could open the door to restrictions on truckers, as losing Nafta trade protections and advantages would make it harder for Mexico to challenge any future U.S. requirements on trucks such as new safety checks.

One government official familiar with the text said the U.S. proposal would allow restrictions and limitations on Mexican trucking if certain conditions were reached, while another official described it as a broad industry exclusion that came during the last round of talks in October. Neither was authorized to speak publicly. The U.S. Trade Representative’s office declined to comment, and hasn’t made its proposals public. Reuters also reported last month that the U.S. was seeking fresh restrictions on long-haul trucks from Mexico, citing a person familiar with discussions.
