Bombshell: Obama Told Migrants Not to Send Their Kids to Border, or This Would Happen

By The Daily Wire. Former President Barack Obama told Latin American parents in June 2014 not to send their kids to the United States’ Southern Border because his administration would send them back if they made it.

In an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, Obama warned about the dangers of traveling through Central America to reach the U.S. border.

“Our message absolutely is don’t send your children unaccompanied, on trains or through a bunch of smugglers,” Obama said. “We don’t even know how many of these kids don’t make it, and may have been waylaid into sex trafficking or killed because they fell off a train.”

Dem. Senator Avoids Saying Whether She Protested Obama’s Detention Centers

By The Daily Caller. Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin avoided answering whether or not she had protested against President Obama’s immigration detention tactics during an appearance on CNN with Brooke Baldwin on Wednesday afternoon.

“You know, on this issue that we get into a moment where we’re making progress and then when it stalls we turn around,” Sen. Baldwin stated. “I think we all need to continue to be focused on it and press it through.”

“The American people need confidence we can solve problems. Nobody believes that we have an immigration system that works,” she went on to say.

The President signed an executive order ending the policy of separating parents from their children when they are apprehended illegally trying to enter the country on Wednesday. Many are pointing out that this is actually an Obama era policy, even though the current president has received a lot of heat for it. (Read more from “Dem. Crowder’s Latest ‘Change My Mind’ Features Shocking Story of Legal Immigrant Fearful of Illegal Alien Crime

In the latest video in CRTV host Steven Crowder’s popular “Change My Mind” series, Crowder takes on border security, asking people to sit down for a conversation and change his mind about immigration reform and building a border wall.

“We didn’t get many sit-down interviews in this one; we got a lot of drive-by yellings,” he says, including one person telling him to “build the wall with your a**.”

But one individual who sat down with Crowder had an amazing story to tell. She says she is a Mexican-American immigrant, and while she told him she doesn’t support the wall, she did explain her fear of illegal immigrants committing crimes in her neighborhood. Her face was blurred for her safety.

“I know a lot of people that are, like, um, are criminals!” she said, adding that they haven’t been deported. She even asked Crowder how she can report these people to the authorities.

Crowder spoke with her further off-camera. “It breaks your heart, it really does,” he says. “Keep in mind, this lady was a legal immigrant subdued into fear by illegal immigrants in her neighborhood.”

Crowder says her story shows how the liberal narrative on sanctuary cities can hurt people.

“The fake victim culture creates real victims, usually the ones following the rules,” Crowder says. (For more from the author of “Crowder’s Latest ‘Change My Mind’ Features Shocking Story of Legal Immigrant Fearful of Illegal Alien Crime” please click HERE)

Clinton Emails: What the IG Report Refuses to Admit

Despite the sprawl of Justice Department inspector general Michael Horowitz’s 568-page report on the Clinton-emails investigation, there is precious little discussion of the most important issue: The Justice Department and FBI’s rationale for declining to prosecute Hillary Clinton. I believe this is intentional. The inspector general’s message is: “Despite pervasive political bias and investigative irregularities, which I have comprehensively documented, rest assured that nothing too terrible happened here.” . . .

In explaining themselves to the IG, Obama Justice Department and FBI officials contended that the make-or-break issue in the case was whether they could prove mens rea — criminal state of mind. In this instance, that involved former secretary of state Clinton’s knowledge and intent regarding the unauthorized transmission and retention of classified information. Investigators say it dawned on them at a very early stage that they could not. Hence, they urge, their decisions to allow the election calendar to impose a time limit on the investigation, to limit the amount of evidence they considered, to be less than aggressive in obtaining evidence, and to draft an exoneration of Clinton months before interviewing her (and other key witnesses), were entirely reasonable. . .

A comprehensive critique of the investigators’ approach would have described the evidence they chose not to weigh. That would have been consistent with other parts of the report, in which Horowitz dilates on the minutiae of investigative techniques the agents and prosecutors eschewed.

A detailed description of the grossly improper communications system Clinton established would have illustrated that she knew full well the risk she was running. A large percentage of the secretary of state’s job involves classified matters. We are not talking merely about the exchange of documents marked classified but, more commonly, constant deliberations about sensitive intelligence in classified documents, briefings, and conversations. Clinton’s willful concoction of a home-brew communications network — not a harried official’s occasional, exigent use of private email for official business, but her rogue institution of a private, non-government infrastructure for the systematic conduct of State Department business — made the non-secure transmission and storage of classified information inevitable.

Horowitz’s fleeting conclusion that the decision not to charge Clinton was rational and not necessarily motivated by political considerations hinges on the assumption that the intent evidence truly was as sparse as the FBI and Justice Department described it. Of course the decision to decline prosecution was defensible, if not incontestable, if one accepts that false premise. And Horowitz does not just accept the premise; he treats it as a background assumption, writing as if there’s no other conceivable way to look at the case. Anti-U.S. Leftist Expected to Become Next Mexican President

Amid the national hysteria over American immigration and border security policy, many appear to be missing the potential massive impact that the coming elections in Mexico will have on these policies, along with the impact the election will have on U.S.-Mexico relations and the cooperation that is ultimately needed to end the crisis at the southern border.

Mexicans will head to the ballot box on July 1 to elect a new president. According to polling, far-left politician Andrés Manuel López Obrador is the clear favorite to lock up the presidency. Recent polls show that he consistently garners over 50 percent of expected voters’ support. His closest rival, Ricardo Anaya, registers around 25 percent support on average in recent polls.

López Obrador is not only a committed leftist, but he appears to be fiercely anti-American. As someone who rose through the political ranks attached to communist and socialist revolutionary politics, he has been described as the ideological “twin” of radical leftist British politician Jeremy Corbyn.

On the campaign trail, the front-runner has branded himself as a fierce nationalist and populist who wants to distance his country from the U.S. His leftist nationalism has drawn comparisons to the rhetoric of the late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez.

López Obrador has in the past pledged to stop all security cooperation with the United States. During the Trump presidency, his anti-American rhetoric has only increased.

In January, he pledged that if he were elected, he would put President Trump “in his place.” The next month, he said he would seek United Nations intervention to stop the United States from securing its southern border with Mexico.

“If he insists on building the wall, we’re going to turn to the United Nations to defend the rights of Mexicans. I’m conscious of my historic responsibility,” López Obrador said in a February debate.

“Mexico and its people will not be the piñata of any foreign government,” López Obrador said in a May speech targeting the United States. “It’s not with walls or use of force that you resolve social problems.”

However, in recent weeks, as his lead continues to climb, López Obrador has notably softened his tone.

Last week, López Obrador said he believes he can use diplomacy to convince the president to back off on his border wall policy.

It remains to be seen which ideology López Obrador will embrace should he become Mexico’s next president. Will his revolutionary impulses lead to the destruction of relations with the United States, or will his nationalist-centrist campaign result in a president who respects the sovereignty of his neighbor to the north? Melania Calls Secret Service After Actor Suggests Kidnapping Barron Trump

First Lady Melania Trump’s office confirmed to The Daily Caller Wednesday that they have notified the Secret Service about actor Peter Fonda’s suggestion, in a series of since-deleted vulgar tweets, that Barron Trump should be kidnapped.

“The tweet is sick and irresponsible and USSS has been notified,” spokesperson for the first lady Stephanie Grisham told The Daily Caller. . .

A rep for Fonda told Fox that the actor “wanted to make sure that Melania and Ivanka communicate with the president the dire circumstances of separating mothers and young children.”

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted his own response to Fonda’s threats against Barron and the children of ICE agents.

Senate Rejects Spending Cuts Proposed by Trump Administration

By The Blaze. The Senate voted 48-50 to reject a spending cuts bill proposed by the White House. Two Republicans crossed the aisle and voted with Democrats to kill the measure. . .

The Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act proposed $15 billion in cuts between 2018 and 2028. The money would be cut from a number of different departments, including Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Health and Human Services, Justice, and Housing and Urban Development.

However, the Washington Post noted that most of the spending would involve funds that the government could not spend anyway, including $7 billion from the Children’s Health Insurance Program that mostly came from an expired and unusable account. When these programs are factored in, the total amount of budget cuts to be spread over the 11-year time period comes to around $1 billion. . .

Senate Democrats did not have the numbers to kill this bill without help from their Republican colleagues. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) voted against the bill, as did Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), who typically supports Trump’s policies. . .

The bill, which was requested by the Trump administration, was sponsored by Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and co-sponsored by 16 Republican members of Congress. It narrowly passed the House of Representatives 210-206 on June 7. (Read more from “Senate Rejects Spending Cuts Proposed by Trump Administration” HERE)

Senate Rejects Billions in Trump Spending Cuts as Two Republicans Vote ‘No’

By The Washington Post. The Senate on Wednesday rejected billions in spending cuts proposed by the Trump administration as two Republicans joined all Democrats in voting no.

The 48-50 vote rebuffed a White House plan to claw back some $15 billion in spending previously approved by Congress — a show of fiscal responsibility that was encouraged by conservative lawmakers outraged over a $1.3 trillion spending bill in March.

The House had approved the so-called rescissions package earlier this month. But passage had never been assured in the Senate, where a number of Republicans had been cool to the idea from the start.

Nevertheless, Wednesday’s outcome was startling because one of the opposing votes came from Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), who does not normally buck the White House or GOP leadership. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), a moderate and one of the Republicans who most frequently side with Democrats, cast the other GOP vote against the cuts. Billboard Directs Liberals to Keep Driving Until They Leave the State. It’s Coming Down Soon.

By The Blaze. A Texas billboard, which gained national attention for its message that directed liberals to keep on driving until they’ve left the state, will come down soon, according to USA Today.

“Liberals please continue on I-40 until you have left our GREAT STATE OF TEXAS,” the billboard says, as shown in a photo taken by Kyle Mccallie, who noticed the sign while driving to work. . .

“I was shocked that it traveled that fast,” [Randy] Burkett [of Burkett advertising] told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I believe in free speech, but this country is divided enough as it is. I’ve spoken with the client, and he’s agreed that it should come down. We’ll be reimbursing him.” . . .

In protest, Roman Leal created a GoFundMe account on Tuesday to raise money for a billboard to counter the sign’s message to liberals:

We need a sign that represents the true, hospitable spirit of the great state of Texas. “Texas is for Everyone — Except Bigots” will go up on the Lamar digital billboard at I40 and Coulter. It will be visible to travelers and commuters driving along the interstate in Amarillo, giving us a chance to put our best boot forward. Meeting the campaign goal will keep the billboard up for 4 weeks. Any contributions exceeding the goal will be used to pay for a longer duration.

Texas Billboard That Tells ‘Liberals’ to Keep Driving Will Come Down

By USA Today. A billboard in the Texas panhandle that gained national attention for its message urging “liberals” to keep driving until they leave the state will be coming down.

“Liberals please continue on I-40 until you have left our GREAT STATE OF TEXAS,” the sign reads, according to a photo taken by Kyle Mccallie.

That photo has been shared more than 10,000 times on Facebook.

Burkett Outdoor Advertising, the company that owns the sign, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the sign would be taken down after all the attention, much of it negative.

“I was shocked that it traveled that fast,” Randy Burkett, the company’s owner, told the newspaper. “I believe in free speech, but this country is divided enough as it is. I’ve spoken with the client, and he’s agreed that it should come down. We’ll be reimbursing him.” (Read more from “Texas Billboard That Tells ‘Liberals’ to Keep Driving Will Come Down” HERE)

Colorado Kids, Church Raise Thousands to Provide Safety Gear for Local Police

Caleb Landrum and Andrew Deeds, two elementary school students, recognized the danger law enforcement officers face every day. So they partnered with a Christian nonprofit to do something to protect the officers.

The kids partnered with the nonprofit Shield 616 to raise more than $14,000 to pay for helmets and protective vests for officers from two departments in Colorado, KCNC-TV reported. . .

First we want to equip every first responder with necessary, advanced active shooter/crowd control gear. Second, we want to provide a support group for that first responder who will pray for the first responder and his or her family on a daily basis and shower the first responder with support and encouragement throughout the year.

Shield616 raises funds to donate safety gear to financially struggling departments and replaces that gear every five years. The organization collaborates with local individuals, churches, and businesses to support this mission. . .

A local church, Living Word Chapel, raised another $17,000 for police gear. In total, the donations paid for helmets and vests for 20 officers. (Read more from “Colorado Kids, Church Raise Thousands to Provide Safety Gear for Local Police” HERE)

He Survived Nazi Concentration Camps – His Message on Border Security Will Silence the Media

By The Daily Caller. David Tuck was enslaved by the Nazis and survived multiple concentration camps. In the wake of pundits and politicians comparing immigration detainment facilities in modern day America to Nazi concentration camps, Tuck felt compelled to speak out.

“Wake up,” he said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller. “Look it up. This is not the Holocaust.”

Tuck was born in Poland in 1929. When he was 10 years old, the Nazis invaded his country. They marched through his neighborhood, identifying Jews. David had a golden Star of David sewn to his clothes and was moved to a ghetto. . .

Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal likened America’s zero tolerance immigration policy to the “cattle cars of Nazi Germany.” Pundits and politicians have echoed the sentiment. . .

“I don’t believe it when I heard it,” Tuck said when he heard Blumenthal’s statement, “They know nothing of the Holocaust.”

“They are politicians, looking to get paid,” he said, repeating that those who make the comparison “know nothing.” When asked to compare the American border detainment facilities to actual concentration camps, Tuck said, “This is a country club.” (Read more from “He Survived Nazi Concentration Camps – His Message on Border Security Will Silence the Media” HERE)

Jeff Sessions Says Child Migrant Holding Cages Not Like Nazi Germany ‘Because They Were Keeping Jews From Leaving’

By The Independent. Accusations that child detention facilities on the US-Mexican border are similar to Nazi concentration camps were always likely to be rebuked by the White House – but perhaps no one quite expected Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ line of reasoning.

“This is a real exaggeration,” he told Fox News. “Because in Nazi Germany they were keeping the Jews from leaving the country.”

Even the avowedly conservative presenter Laura Ingraham seemed momentarily taken aback with the response, quickly moving the subject on. . .

Earlier, Democrat senator Dianne Feinstein had been among several politicians and commentators to say the actions were comparable with Hitler’s Germany.

But Attorney General Sessions said: “We’re doing the right thing. We’re taking care of these children,” adding “they are not being abused”. (Read more from “Jeff Sessions Says Child Migrant Holding Cages Not Like Nazi Germany ‘Because They Were Keeping Jews From Leaving'” HERE)

Assault Weapons Ban Dies After Months of Fighting

An effort to revive a proposed ban on the sale of assault weapons failed in the Delaware Senate on Tuesday, effectively defeating the most controversial gun control measure pending before the Legislature.

Two Democrats sided with Republicans in opposing the maneuver, including Sen. Brian Bushweller of Dover and Sen. Bruce Ennis of Smyrna. That left Democrats two votes short of the 11 needed to bring the measure to the floor.

“It’s very unfortunate that we didn’t have the votes to even have a debate on the issue,” said the bill’s chief sponsor Sen. Bryan Townsend, D-Newark. “I’m a little surprised not to have the vote of all my Democratic colleagues, except for Sen. Ennis.” . . .

“The process that we have followed so far that caused the bill to lose in committee was consistent with my view on the bill,” Bushweller said. “I didn’t see a point in continuing a process that already resulted in what I think is the right thing to do with the bill.”

Tuesday’s vote marked the second defeat for Senate Bill 163 this month and a major loss for gun control advocates who pushed for reform in the wake of recent high-profile mass shootings. That includes Gov. John Carney, who had both called for the legislation to be introduced and urged for it to get a vote on the Senate floor.
