CBS: Opioid Crisis Fueled by Drug Industry and Congress

According to former DEA agent turned whistleblower, Joe Rannazzisi, the DEA’s ability to keep opioids off U.S. streets was derailed by “…Congress, lobbyists, and a drug distribution industry that shipped, almost unchecked, hundreds of millions of pills to rogue pharmacies and pain clinics – providing the rocket fuel for a crisis that, over the last two decades, has claimed more than 200,000 lives.”1 (Rannazzisi once ran the DEA’s Office of Diversion Control, the division that regulates and investigates the pharmaceutical industry.)

Last October we shared a story with you that detailed what Rannazzisi has disclosed to 60 Minutes and The Washington Post; that the U.S. Congress had conspired “with drug companies to hobble the DEA by erecting a protection racket for prescription opioid profits.” And now, 60 Minutes has come out with a follow-up.

Today’s Internet Not ‘Sustainable,’ Experts Warn

The digital world has been flooded with concerns in recent months over the power of the giant tech companies, particularly Google and Facebook, to control the flow of information. . .

Now Congress has been told that the “digital ecosystem” that exists today is unworkable.

“Two companies dominate the market. The privacy of internet users is under assault. The revenue model that sustained journalism is broken. The ad platforms are manipulated by foreign adversaries. Secrecy and complexity are increasing as accountability is diminished,” said the Electronic Privacy Information Center in a statement delivered to members of Congress. . .

The letter explained: “Today’s digital advertising techniques are very different from traditional advertising models. In the analog world, consumers could readily identify the placement of an ad, the source and its purpose. There was little need for advertisers to gather personal data from users. Perhaps most critically, advertising supported editorial content. Advertising made possible the publication of daily news. Traditional advertising sustained a healthy ecosystem that also made possible the production of news without government subsidy. Much of that has changed,” the letter said.

“There are many problems today with the Digital Advertising Ecosystems – profiling and tracking of internet users, increasing concentration of providers (Google and Facebook), the loss of support for editorial content, discriminatory practices and redlining, preferencing the advertiser’s products over competitor’s, and political ads purchased by foreign advertisers intended [to] undermine democratic elections. Opinion: Today’s Campuses Are Worse Than Sodom and Gomorrah

British philosopher G.K. Chesterton predicted in 1926 that the “next great heresy is going to be simply an attack on morality; and especially on sexual morality…. The madness of tomorrow is not in Moscow but much more in Manhattan.” Philosopher C.S. Lewis, the foundation for whose conversion to Christianity (from atheism) was born of reading Chesterton’s books, once observed, “Sex is not messed up because it was put in the closet; it was put in the closet because it was messed up.” And just recently, at an early April conference at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, University of Virginia (UVA) religious studies Professor Vigen Guroian complained of higher education’s hypocrisy. Pointing out that colleges do in fact act in loco parentis, heavily policing alcohol and drug use, he asks why they also don’t police promiscuity. The short answer: When a heresy holds sway it becomes orthodoxy, at least for a time — and you don’t question orthodoxy.

Yet forget about policing promiscuity. Today’s colleges actually encourage it to a point of almost making Sodom and Gomorrah look saintly. Consider that the Ivy League’s Yale University hosted rapper Elizabeth Eden Harris, who goes by the moniker “cupcakKe,” at its April Spring Fling celebration. One student commentator called her emanations “sins, not songs” and “musical porn, plain and simple,” as she “sings about violent sex, oral sex, and having genitalia ‘like I’m eight,’” reports an April 11 College Fix headline. The details are even worse, but I’ll spare you.

Two days earlier, the College Fix reported that the “University of Tennessee at Knoxville is hosting ‘Sex Week’ [April 6 through 12] at which students will learn about a wide variety of sexual practices and topics,” including a class “titled ‘Butt Stuff 2.0: The Pegging,’” which we’ll not describe here. The Fix also informs, “Other events during the week include an art exhibit titled ‘Send Nudes ;),’ a cabaret show, and a workshop about ‘Black Liberation through Sexual Pleasure.’… Workshops such as ‘Masturbation Nation,’ ‘Trans Convo Starter Pack,’ ‘Tinder and Tea,’ and the ‘Science of Abortion’ are also on the schedule.”

Far from the above being an outlier, university Sex Week events are common today. For example, Campus Reform reported four years ago that the “University of Chicago is kicking off Sex Week 2014 with a ‘Lascivious Ball’ in which students will not be required to wear clothing.” In 2015, the College Fix informed that “Harvard University will soon mark its annual ‘Sex Week’ observance, which this year features a workshop on how to navigate sex involving bondage and sadomasochism in the dorms — complete with whips and floggers.” And in March, the publication told us that the “annual ‘Sex Week’ at Northwestern University will feature a Chicago-based dominatrix named ‘Lady Sophia’ who will teach the students various BDSM practices.” (Read more from “Opinion: Today’s Campuses Are Worse Than Sodom and Gomorrah” HERE)

Ted Cruz Proposes Emergency Bill to Address Child Separation – Here’s What It Does

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) offered Monday an emergency proposal meant to address and mitigate the crisis of family separations by immigration enforcement officials at the border. . .

Cruz’s bill would double the number of federal immigration judges, from about 375 to 750, in order to more quickly adjudicate asylum and illegal immigration cases.

It would also set up additional temporary shelters to accommodate families who would under current policy be separated.

Cruz’s bill also says that families should stay together except on two occasions, when there is criminal conduct or there appears a threat of harm to children. . .

The media is attempting to place all the blame of family separation on President Donald Trump, but the administration has pointed out that the law that led to the policy has been in place for more than a decade. Trump Signs Executive Order to Establish Proposed ‘Space Force’

President Trump announced on Monday that he wants the Department of Defense and the Pentagon to immediately begin creating a sixth branch of the military — an independent “Space Force.” . . .

The president told the council: “When it comes to defending America, it is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space.

“We are going to have the Air Force and we are going to have the Space Force, separate but equal…My administration is reclaiming America’s heritage as the world’s greatest spacefaring nation.” . . .

The Commander in Chief also expressed his vision for reviving the US space program. As part of that effort, Trump pledged to launch new moon missions and to eventually send astronauts to Mars. He reiterated that he does not want “China and Russia and other countries leading us.” . . .

Director of the Aerospace Security Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Todd Harrison, took to Twitter on Monday to make several points about the Space Force initiative. In his first post, Harrison said of the president’s announcement that this was “at least the third time he has said something like this publicly, so it’s not completely out of the blue.”

Anti-Trump FBI Agent Willing to Testify Before Congress — and Leave No Stone Unturned

By The Blaze. FBI agent Peter Strzok, whose controversial text messages with an ex-FBI lawyer exposed apparent wrongdoing inside the Department of Justice, is willing to testify before Congress, his lawyer said in a surprise letter Sunday.

Strzok’s announcement comes just days after DOJ inspector general Michael Horowitz released his report on the DOJ’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation, which Strzok helped lead. . .

According to the Washington Post, Strzok’s attorney, Aitan Goelman, sent House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) a letter Sunday revealing his client is ready to tell his side of the story and potentially “clear his name.”

Goelman said Strzok is willing to testify without immunity and would not invoke his Fifth Amendment rights in response to any question from a member of Congress. He also said Strzok is willing to testify before any committee that requests him. . .

Strzok, in addition to being a key agent in the FBI’s Clinton investigation, was also a lead agent in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation before being removed last year when the internal DOJ watchdog discovered his anti-Trump text messages. Trump Blasts ‘Sick Loser’ Peter Strzok, ‘Sick Deal’ With Comey, Mueller Connections

By Fox News. President Trump took to Twitter Sunday to blast the FBI agent who was removed from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team after sending anti-Trump text messages to his mistress, calling his actions “Witch Hunt!” and “a really sick deal.”

Trump tweeted: “Why was the FBI’s sick loser, Peter Strzok, working on the totally discredited Mueller team of 13 Angry & Conflicted Democrats, when Strzok was giving Crooked Hillary a free pass yet telling his lover, lawyer Lisa Page, that ‘we’ll stop’ Trump from becoming President?”

The president added, “Also remember that they all worked for Slippery James Comey and that Comey is best friends with Robert Mueller. A really sick deal, isn’t it?”

Through his lawyer, Strzok announced Sunday he’s willing to testify before the House Judiciary Committee or any other congressional panel that invites him. The reported offer to testify came three days after Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz wrote that Strzok’s messaged conversations with FBI attorney Lisa Page created the appearance that investigative decisions may have been motivated by bias against then-candidate Trump. Reporter Learns the Hard Way Not to Interrupt the Donald, Gets Blindsided by Response

A reporter who tried to interrupt President Donald Trump during a news conference found out the hard way that interrupting the Donald isn’t a good idea during an impromptu news conference on Friday. Now, the media is up in arms. . .

Afterward, he decided to meet with reporters for a few minutes to field some questions. North Korea, as you can imagine, was at the top of the agenda

“I want to have a good relationship with North Korea,” Trump said. “I want to have a good relationship with many other countries. And what I have done, if you remember, if you are fair, which most of you aren’t … but if you are fair, when I came in, people thought we were probably going to war with North Korea.”

Apparently, one reporter began yelling a question at him, which earned the opprobrium of the president with just three words: “Quiet. Quiet. Quiet,” Trump said as he held out his hand.

Study: Women Who Abort Are 81 Percent More Likely to Have Mental Health Issues Than Those Who Kept Babies

Hundreds of women experience serious if not fatal complications during abortions but at least it’s not more, a study posits, alleging that abortion is safe. . .

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention however, reports that 36 women died from abortion complications between 2009 and 2013.

Women who had abortions were also 81 percent more likely to experience mental health problems than their peers who had not aborted an unborn child, according to a recent study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry.

Of the women who aborted, 10 percent of mental health issues that arose thereafter were positively attributable to abortion.

Planned Parenthood has aborted over 7,132,130 babies since Margaret Sanger’s founding of the abortion organization. Planned Parenthood doctors aborted more than 328,348 unborn babies in 2016, and killed 6,803,782 unborn babies between 1978 and 2016, according to CNS News. Men: Your Cell Phone May Be Nuking Your Johnson

Boys and men of all ages may not feel any heat or sensation from a carrying a cell phone in their pants’ pockets. That doesn’t mean their private parts aren’t being exposed to harmful radiation.

Dr. Joel M. Moskowitz, Ph.D. of University of California, Berkeley (SaferEMR.com) provided a great picture along with research confirming that cell phone radiation can harm sperm

EHTrust.org has also provided dozens of references to research confirming this on their website.

Lloyd Burrell of Electricsense also highlighted and detailed many studies which confirm this as well.

If you’ve ever wondered how much radiation is being emitted from your cell phone, here’s an Acoustimeter measuring radiation from a “smart” phone.

Here’s an Acoustimeter measuring the radiation from a flip phone:

As you can see, anyone carrying a cell phone in his pocket is experiencing one heck of a weenie roast even if he doesn’t feel or smell it.

Radiation exposure is cumulative and your sperm isn’t the only thing that’s affected by it. Have you noticed that the male actors featured in Viagra commercials continue to look younger and fitter?

Cell phone manufacturers are still legally obligated to provide safety guidelines and warnings about placing cell phones directly against the body. These guidelines are outdated though and cell phone companies are warning shareholders – not consumers – that eventually they may be held liable for their products causing harm.

Cell phones aren’t the only devices that use wireless WiFi radiation to operate. WiFi isn’t magic even though marketing campaigns certainly make it seem like it is.

Technology use on TV, films, and marketing– even for prescription drugs – is often portrayed being used in ways that violate warnings and medical recommendations.

Media sources have been referring to The Telecom Industry as “Big Wireless” and comparing them to “Big Tobacco” for many years.

Digital, electronic, and wireless devices have also been reported and recalled for catching fire and exploding. MANY TIMES this has happened while people were carrying cell phones inside their pants’ pockets.

Protecting the “family jewels” requires keeping these types of devices as far away from them as possible. It’s a no brainer.

Some Say Child Detention Centers Are ‘Concentration Camps.’ but the Truth Paints Much Different Picture.

In light of the controversy surrounding the Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” illegal immigration policy, many have accused the administration of operating policies similar to Nazi Germany, while others have outright compared child detention centers to concentration camps. . .

According to Breitbart News, once unaccompanied minors — who arrive to the U.S. with their parents or alone — are placed in detention camps, they experience a standard of living higher than millions of American children who live in poverty.

Breitbart reported about 41,000 unaccompanied minors were placed in camps last year, which are operated by the Office of Refugee Settlement. Once there, data shows the federal government spent an average of $34,660 caring for each child on an annual basis or about $96 per day.

Meanwhile, federal data shows there were more than 13 million American children living in poverty in 2016. That means they lived in a household where the annual income was $24,563 — for a family of four — or less. That equates to just $68 per day.
