There Is No Such Thing as an Unwanted Baby

The ad begins with a cute baby with bright eyes looking right at you. Immediately after she gives you a smile as brilliant as sunshine, the first message appears: “She deserves to be loved.” Then the camera is on the smiling baby girl again and the second message follows: “She deserves to be wanted.”

The third time the camera is on the baby girl, she not only smiles at you but also raises one of her little hands, as if she is trying to reach you. When I saw the ad at this point, I wanted to reach my hand to hold her little fingers, and I wanted to hug her tightly in my arms.

Then the third message appears: “She deserves to be a choice,” accompanied by a disconcerting “#standwithPP.” At this point, I realized this is a pro-abortion ad from the Agenda Project, and I started feeling sick, as if someone just kicked me in the gut. . .

When you find yourself pregnant and not ready to become a parent, you do have a choice––it’s called adoption. I recently had a conversation with a staff member who works for one of Colorado’s largest and oldest adoption agencies. She told me that last year her agency was only able to place 15 babies in loving homes, even though there are more than 70 couples on their waiting list.

The average wait time for domestic infant adoption is between 18 months and three years. I asked why the adoption process takes so long. She said there are more couples waiting to adopt infants than there are infants available for adoption. (Read more from “There Is No Such Thing as an Unwanted Baby” HERE)

Yes, Doctors Should ‘Stay in Their Lane’ on Gun Policy

What kind of ignorant troglodyte would tell a doctor to mind his own business?

This was, in essence, the question an incredulous media was asking after the National Rifle Association disparaged the American College of Physicians (ACP) for promoting an array of gun-control regulations last week. “Someone should tell self-important anti-gun doctors to stay in their lane,” the NRA tweeted. “Half of the articles in Annals of Internal Medicine are pushing for gun control. Most upsetting, however, the medical community seems to have consulted NO ONE but themselves.”

The reaction to the NRA’s reply was swift, overwhelming, and widely covered, giving the ACP exactly the attention they desired. (Did I mention these are doctors we’re talking about?) As it turns out, there are a number of very good reasons professional medical groups should “stay in their lane” on public policy. Many of these reasons were accentuated in this very debate.

For one thing, neither internists nor radiologists, by virtue of their career choice, have special expertise in public policy, gun ownership, or the relationship between firearms and the rights associated with them. Speaking about these issues with the authority of an expert is a transparent appeal to authority.

For another thing, the ACP uses its position to create the perception that “doctors”—virtually all of them—believe in one set of policy prescriptions. I have a feeling this isn’t true. Even if it were, though, doctors—physicists, engineers, teachers, business owners, truck drivers, and any other smart human being— are just as susceptible to partisan biases and agendas as anyone else is. Mattis Gave a Pep Talk to Troops Guarding America’s Southern Border, and What He Said Will Give You Goosebumps

Secretary of Defense James Mattis Wednesday visited the troops deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border and gave them some inspiring words ahead of the arrival of a migrant caravan slowly making its way through Mexico toward the U.S.

The Department of Defense’s latest estimate suggests there will be more than 7,000 troops at various positions in Arizona, California and Texas, according to CNBC. Their responsibility will involve erecting barriers and helping the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with other logistical tasks. . .

“In the Army, we don’t care if you’re male or female, we don’t care where you go to church or if you go to church,” he said. “We just care when there’s trouble out there, will you keep the faith, will you ride for the brand, and when trouble looms, do you go toward the trouble to help your buddies.”

“Loyalty only matters when there’s a hundred reasons not to be loyal,” Mattis told the troops. “When it’s raining and you’re cold. It’s when you’re in a position where people are showing a lack of respect for each other elsewhere and you and your team are holding strong.” . . .

The defense secretary announced after visiting with military personnel that he does not expect law enforcement to come in direct contact with any of the migrants, a fear that arose after President Donald Trump announced the military will treat rocks thrown by migrants at troops as firearms. Bombshell Text Messages Support Roger Stone’s Claims About Wikileaks Backchannel

By The Daily Caller. Text messages released on Wednesday appear to support Trump confidant Roger Stone’s testimony that a New York radio show host was his source for information about WikiLeaks’ plans to release information damaging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

“Julian Assange has kryptonite on Hillary,” Randy Credico wrote to Stone on Aug. 27, 2016, according to text messages that Stone provided to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

“You are not going to drag my name into this are you,” Credico wrote on Sept. 29, 2016, suggesting that he was worried that Stone would identify him as his source for public claims he was making about WikiLeaks’ plans.

“[B]ig news Wednesday,” Credico wrote on Oct. 1, 2016, days before WikiLeaks began releasing emails stolen from Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta. “Now pretend u don’t know me.”

Credico also suggested in the texts that his source for some information about WikiLeaks was one of the group’s lawyers, who he said was one of his “best friends.” Stone has long claimed that the lawyer, Margaret Ratner Kunstler, was a source for Credico. Text Messages Show Roger Stone and Friend Discussing Wikileaks Plans

By NBC News. Six days before WikiLeaks began releasing Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta’s emails, Roger Stone had a text message conversation with a friend about WikiLeaks, according to copies of phone records obtained exclusively by NBC News. . .

Credico turned out to be wrong on one count — nothing incriminating about Clinton came out that Wednesday. But two days later, on Oct. 7, WikiLeaks released its first dump of emails stolen from Podesta, altering the trajectory of the 2016 presidential election.

Stone, a confidante of then-candidate Donald Trump and notorious political trickster, has denied any collusion with WikiLeaks.

But the text messages provided by Stone to NBC News show that Credico appeared to be providing regular updates to Stone on WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s plans in the days before the hacked emails were released. In the texts, Credico told Stone he had insights into Assange’s plans through a longtime friend, who was also Assange’s lawyer, according to the text messages. Plot Twist: Couple, Homeless Man Faked Story Netting $400k in Donations

By Daily Wire. The couple who raised nearly half a million dollars for a homeless man after he gave his last $20 to the woman will face criminal charges as will the homeless man for making up the entire story, officials say.

“Mark D’Amico, Kate McClure and Johnny Bobbitt will face charges including conspiracy and theft by deception,” NBC 10 reported on Wednesday.

NBC 10 reviewed a complaint that alleges the three “conspired with one another to make up a false story in order to raise more than $400,000.” . . .

The three gained national attention last year after the couple claimed that Bobbitt gave his last $20 to help McClure purchase fuel after she ran out while driving on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.

The couple came under scrutiny not long after the story broke and the $400,000+ was raised after Bobbitt and his lawyer said that “McClure and D’Amico gave him around $75,000 as well as the vehicle and the camper, but have since learned that the rest of the money is gone.” (Read more from “Plot Twist: Couple, Homeless Man Faked Story Netting $400k in Donations” HERE)

Couple and Homeless Man in Gofundme Controversy Accused of Making up Story, Source Says

By NBC. . .The three initially earned fame in 2017. The couple claimed Bobbitt used $20 to help McClure get gas when her car ran out on Interstate 95 in Philadelphia. McClure and D’Amico then launched a GoFundMe page to supposedly raise money for Bobbitt; the page brought in over $400,000 from 14,000 contributors.

The account, at first, led to appearances for Bobbitt and McClure on national TV programs. But it then turned into a dispute over the money.

Bobbitt accused the couple of dipping into the funds and using them as a “personal piggy bank” to bankroll a lifestyle they couldn’t afford. . .

D’Amico was arrested in September in Burlington County on an unrelated $500 warrant for an October 2017 traffic stop, according to officials. At the time, he was driving on a suspended license and also had a broken tail light. He also failed to appear in court on two separate occassions, according to court records. Avenatti Speaks After Arrest for Suspected Felony Domestic Violence

Michael Avenatti appeared to portray himself as a victim during a brief press conference on Wednesday after he was arrested for alleged felony domestic violence.

“I wish to thank the hard working men and woman of the LAPD for their professionalism, they were only doing their jobs in light of the completely bogus allegations against me,” Avenatti said. “I have never been physically abusive in my life nor was I last night. Any accusations to the contrary are fabricated and meant to do harm to my reputation. I look forward to being fully exonerated.”

Megastar’s Husband Warns Fire Looters to Beware of His 2nd Amendment Rights

Famed motocross competitor Carey Hart has issued a warning to looters taking advantage of those evacuating their homes to escape the California wildfires.

“It’s unfortunate that some people take advantage of others in a crisis. While the malibu fires have been burning, some locals have been fighting off and defending their property against the fires,” Hart wrote in an Instagram post.

At least 50 people have been confirmed dead statewide in California as a result of a deadly wildfires raging through northern and southern parts of the state. Several celebrities are among those forced to evacuate their homes, tempting looters by leaving multimillion-dollar mansions behind.

To those looters, Hart says “think twice.”

“There have been sightings of looters breaking in to homes. Well, if you are a looter, think twice if you are heading back into malibu. #DefendYourLand #2ndamendment.”

Hart is married to singer Pink, who tweeted in support of the firefighters working diligently to contain the blaze.

Republicans Are Missing a Golden Opportunity to Win Voters

Suburban voters don’t want to embrace MS-13, Hamas, drug traffickers, and sanctuary cities while banning drinking straws. Suburban voters didn’t suddenly become rabid socialists and anarchists who join with the Antifa hordes defecating on police cars. Yet the party supporting these things won the House because of backlash against Trump’s persona and the lack of a counter-narrative from Republicans in Congress to define themselves and define Democrats. Voters wanted change and therefore voted for the only change on the ballot, which is the party out of power. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Imagine if we had a Republican party that actually ran on a unified platform of combatting identity theft by illegal aliens, sanctuary cities, drug cartels, and drug traffickers. Imagine a party that relentlessly hung the rising crime and drug crisis around the necks of its Democrat opponents who support releasing drug traffickers from prison and open-border policies that bring the poison into our country? Suburban voters still want safety and security, yet few Republicans ran on that agenda.

Unfortunately, these same Republicans are now going to push the open-borders agenda and weak-on-crime laws rather than fighting Democrats on those issues. Because Republicans are failing to fight them on these issues and force a moment of contention in the public eye, most voters will never know how destructive these ideas are to their communities. Consensus is the worst thing in politics, especially when it endangers the public safety.

As part of CNN’s exit polling, it asked voters whether Trump’s position on immigration was “too tough” or “about right/not tough enough.” Here is a rundown of the results for selected states where Republicans lost ground in the suburbs:

Arizona: 35% “too tough;” 58% “about right/not tough enough”

Texas: 43%-52%

Georgia: 35%-60%

Florida: 41%-54%

Look at those numbers from Arizona. The Grand Canyon State has been beleaguered by open borders, yet Republicans have never fully exposed what Democrats are doing and how they are responsible for the security problems in the state. And remember, the question is loaded because it pegs the issue to Trump, who is unpopular with many suburban voters, not because of the issue but because of his persona. If voters were asked individual questions on the policies divorced from any personality, their responses would be overwhelmingly pro-sovereignty.

Even in states where Republicans performed badly, the majority of voters sided with Trump on the issue of immigration. The question polled at 46% “too tough”-51% “about right/not tough enough” in Nevada. In red states where Republicans failed to fully hit their opponents on immigration, the numbers were even more pronounced. West Virginians polled at 31% “too tough”-63% “about right/not tough enough,” and Montana was at 40%-51%.

As I’ve noted before, Americans in every state want cuts to mass migration, and almost all of them want stepped-up enforcement and an end to sanctuary cities. We could have had an entire legislative and budget fight over this issue headed into the election, but we were sabotaged by McConnell and McCarthy. Sadly, Trump agreed to sign the bill.

Accordingly, at a time of the worst Central American migration crisis and drug crisis, Republicans are incapable of communicating with suburban “security moms” about the basic role of the federal government. Just imagine if they had championed my 25 no-brainer ideas on illegal immigration to protect the security and pocketbooks of American citizens from stolen sovereignty.

Then there is the issue of jailbreak. Republicans are now pushing legislation to let out gun felons and drug traffickers from prison during the worst drug crisis ever and during a time when Democrats are planning an assault on law-abiding gun owners. What an agenda! Flood the country with dangerous criminal aliens and drugs, go soft on crime, and then strip peaceful Americans of their right to self-defense. The polling on this issue is clear. In September, the Foundation for Safeguarding Justice published a very comprehensive survey with straightforward questions eliciting feedback on the current jailbreak proposals pending in Congress. Here is a smattering of the questions and results:

Question: “When thinking about how the federal government deals with convicted defendants, would you support or oppose a proposal to reduce penalties for traffickers in heroin, fentanyl, and similar drugs?”

Results: 74% oppose reductions, including 73% of Independents, 70% of Democrats, 71% of African-Americans, and even 63% of Millennials.

Question: In general, do you think that the federal government is too tough, not tough enough, or about right in its handling of drug trafficking?

Results: 51% said not tough enough, 25% said just right, and just 14% said too tough. Just 15% of African Americans believe we are too tough on drug traffickers, and women voters were more likely to think we are not tough enough than men.

Clearly, the political elites in both parties are living in a different planet. Even in my liberal home of Baltimore County, all of the Democrats who door-knock in the neighborhood pledged to be tough on crime. They are obviously lying, but they clearly understand where voters are on the issue of public safety. Republicans not only betray the principles of their party’s platform, but their political barometer is completely defective.

It’s quite evident that with the prosperous quality of life this generation, the affluent suburbs aren’t as motivated by tax cuts as by safety and security, which also ties into “values.” At a time when they could be drawing a sharp contrast for voters on the most important issues, Republicans are moving in the opposite direction while giving all these newly elected phony moderates in swing districts cover to betray their campaign promises. Newly Elected Democrat Affirms Support for Boycotting Israel

Newly elected Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar has announced that she supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement that seeks the destruction of the world’s lone Jewish state.

In an interview with the “Muslim Girl” website, the congresswoman’s campaign said that Omar “believes in and supports the BDS movement.”

The statement marked a stark reversal from Omar’s previous position on BDS. Prior to the election, Omar told Minnesota Jews that she was opposed to the boycott movement. During a debate that took place in a synagogue, Omar stated that BDS is “not helpful in getting that two-state solution” between Israel and the Palestinians. She added that “in order for us to have a process of getting to a two-state solution, people have to be willing to come to the table and have a conversation about how that is going to be possible and I think that [BDS] stops the dialogue.”

Her bald-faced deception should not come as a surprise to folks who have been monitoring Omar’s rise. The incoming Somali-born congresswoman has made grossly anti-Semitic statements in recent past. She has slandered Israel as an “apartheid regime” and has called on “Allah” to “awaken the people” to see the “evil doings of Israel.”

And no media outlets seem interested in reporting on the mounting evidence that she may have married her brother in an effort to commit massive immigration fraud, according to PJ Media.

“Omar faced allegations — soon backed by a remarkable amount of evidence — that she had married her own brother in 2009, and was still legally his wife. They officially divorced in December 2017,” journalist David Steinberg wrote.

Rep. Omar’s successful election campaign drew almost unanimous positive coverage from the legacy media. There was a total blackout of her anti-Semitic rhetoric and her potential criminal immigration activity.

To date, zero elected congressional Democrats have taken the opportunity to distance themselves from Rep. Omar’s radicalism. (For more from the author of “Newly Elected Democrat Affirms Support for Boycotting Israel” please click HERE)

Cyclist Biking Across U.S. to Raise Money for Childhood Cancer Dies in Accident

A man embarking on a cross-country charity trip on a recumbent bicycle to raise money for children with cancer was killed Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car on a Mississippi highway, authorities said.

James Dobson, of Lebanon, Maine, started his Positive Vibes Tour in New Hampshire on Oct. 1 for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. His goal was to ride 60 miles daily, to San Diego. . .

It was his 44th day on the road when a 2016 Dodge Challenger struck Dobson, who was riding his bicycle, while he was traveling west on the U.S. 98, according to the Hattiesburg American. . .

Keith Loud, the hospital’s physician in chief, said in a statement he was moved not only by Dobson’s dedication but the courage it took to ride across the country in an effort to give back.

“A self-proclaimed ‘small town regular guy,’ James was a shining star, and we are honored to have had him shine his light in our direction,” Loud said. “We express our deepest condolences to his friends and family.” (Read more from “Cyclist Biking Across U.S. to Raise Money for Childhood Cancer Dies in Accident” HERE)
