Heh: New Poll Shows Registered Voters Think the Media Is More Divisive Than President Trump

In the aftermath of the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre and the discovery of a series of mail bombs last week, the leftist media has condemned President Trump as the source of all division in America.

But a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows while although President Trump is credited with some division, registered voters believe the media bears more responsibility.

In the new Morning Consult/Politico poll, 64 percent of registered voters said the press has done more to divide the country than unite it since Trump took office, compared with 56 percent who said the same was true of the president. The poll of 2,543 voters was conducted Oct. 25-30, after news first broke of mail bomb suspect Cesar Sayoc’s attempted acts of politically motivated violence and amid news of a shooting by suspect Robert Bowers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

During an increasingly rare press briefing at the White House Monday, Press Secretary Sarah Sanders slammed the media for immediately rushing into a Trump blame in the aftermath of tragedy.

President Trump Announces End to Catch and Release, Says Military Will Fight Back If Illegal Aliens Throw Rocks

Speaking from the White House Thursday afternoon, President Trump announced illegal aliens who are detained after crossing the southern border with Mexico will no longer be released into the interior of the United States. Instead, they will be detained until deportation.

“We’re stopping people at the border,” Trump said. “This is an invasion…We are building massive numbers of tents and we will hold them in tents.”

According to current law, illegal aliens from Mexico can be detained and immediately deported. Illegal aliens from Central America are required to be released after 20 days in detention if they are traveling with children. Because the processing for illegal aliens — claiming asylum or otherwise — is lengthy, these individuals are released into the United States. Afterward, they rarely show up for court dates and start building their lives in neighborhoods across the country. Trump said that policy ends today and illegal aliens will be detained until they are fully processed to deportation.

President Trump’s announcement comes as a number of caravans make their way from Central America, through Mexico and to the United States. It has been repeatedly confirmed violent actors make up some parts of the traveling population.

“These illegal caravans will not be allowed into the United States and they should turn back now because they’re wasting their time. They should apply to come into our country. We want them to come into our country,” Trump said. “No nation can allow itself to be overwhelmed by uncontrolled masses of people rushing their border.” (Read more from “President Trump Announces End to Catch and Release, Says Military Will Fight Back If Illegal Aliens Throw Rocks” HERE)

Dirty Tricks: Shady Liberal Group Deploys Illegal Mailers to Undermine GOP Candidates in Crucial Senate Races

In 2016, the only battleground state Senate Republican to falter in a re-election bid was New Hampshire’s Kelly Ayotte. She fell by the slimmest of margins — losing by roughly 1,000 votes (0.2 percentage points) statewide. Conservative third party candidate Aaron Day ended up receiving more than 17,000 votes in the contest, tipping it to Democrat Maggie Hassan, who was also helped by a Libertarian candidate pulling in more than 12,000 ballots. The little-known Day’s candidacy benefited from anonymous mailers sent to Republican voters designed to attack Ayotte “from the right.” The liberal outfit behind the ads peddled their mischief in a profoundly dishonest, and even illegal, way:

At least three possibly illegal political mailers are being sent to voters around the state of New Hampshire in an effort to depress the vote for U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-NH, on Nov. 8, 2016, by getting conservatives to cast ballots for Aaron Day, an independent in the race. The mailers – professionally designed and mailed from New Jersey – target Ayotte for saying that she wouldn’t vote for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump and claimed that she backs gun control legislation with Democrats in the Senate. The mailers include quotes from Trump criticizing Ayotte and a “NRA-ILA” logo that was sloppily pasted onto the graphic, making it look like it was paid for by the National Rifle Association. They also include positive comments about Day, a liberty Republican turned indie. The mailers state that Day “firmly opposes Obamacare” and was “a strong supporter of the (c)onstitution and the constitutional right to bear arms” – clearly attempting to sway voters to the conservative indie in an effort to boost the campaign of Hassan…The mailers did not include a return address, disclaimer, or acknowledgement of finance, which, even though it doesn’t endorse any candidate, appears to be a violation of 52 U.S.C. 30120(a)(3), which requires acknowledgement of who or what paid for all political advertisement[s].

Republican strategist Liam Donovan provides some visuals to help remind us of what went down in the Granite State last cycle, and to expose how it appears as though the same shadowy, anonymous group is engaged in similar underhanded subterfuge this year:
