WATCH: Democrat Rep Defends Past Anti-Semitic Statement on Exposing ‘Evil Doings’ of Israel

Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) defended a past anti-Semitic remark she made on Twitter in an interview with PBS on Tuesday, saying those were “the only words I could think about expressing at that moment.”

“Can I just move on to something that’s generally a rite of passage for politicians in the United States, and that is to sort of profess a sort of fealty or at least pay homage to AIPAC, the pro-Israel PAC that is very, very prominent,” PBS’s Christiane Amanpour said. “Should Jewish Americans be worried about congresswoman Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib because of the BDS movement, because of one of the tweets you made a long time ago, you were part of a new wave of Democrats not afraid to be critical of the government of Israel.”

“During the 2012 military offensive in Gaza, you tweeted, ‘Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” Amanpour continued. “How do you put that into context now and what do you say to American Jews?”

“I remember when that was happening, watching tv and really feeling as if no other life was being impacted in this war and that really, those unfortunate words were the only words I could think about expressing at that moment,” Omar replied. “What is really important to me is that people recognize that there is a difference between criticizing a military action by a government that has exercised really oppressive policies and being offensive or attacky [sic] to particular people of faith.”

Omar then tried to justify her criticism of Israel by attacking another U.S. ally, Saudi Arabia, saying that she also calls for action against them.

CAIR Official Exposed as Avowed Hamas Supporter

A senior official of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) who spoke last week at an event celebrating the election of three Muslim members of Congress is an avowed supporter of the U.S.-designated terrorist group Hamas.

Jinan Shbat (who goes by “Jinan Deena” on Twitter), CAIR’s national outreach manager, tweeted her support for the Palestinian terrorist group in June, expressing her preference for Hamas over the Palestinian Authority, which governs the Palestinian areas of the disputed West Bank.

Last week, she opened CAIR’s congressional reception celebrating Democrat Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Mich., Ilhan Omar, Minn., and Andre Carson, Ind. Shbat spoke prior to CAIR executive director Nihad Awad, who has in the past also declared his support for Hamas. CAIR was founded by Hamas-tied operatives for the purpose of raising clandestine funds for the Gaza-based terror group. Today, CAIR describes itself as a “grassroots civil rights and advocacy group.”

This follows news that Rep. Tlaib invited Abbas Hamideh, an open Hezbollah (a U.S.-designated terrorist group) supporter and the executive director of the extremist group Al-Awda, to her inaugural private dinner party. In 2016, Shbat led a pro-Palestinian rally held by Hamideh’s Al-Awda. Officials within the extremist organization have supported terrorist groups and called for terrorist attacks against Israelis.

It is unclear whether Shbat was also invited to the private dinner, but she did appear in multiple photos that day with Rep. Tlaib and posted them on social media.

The CAIR official is not just a Hamas supporter. Shbat is a passionate advocate for Israel’s destruction, often taking to social media to express her support for the boycott of Israel and for the country’s extermination.

Shbat, who, like Rep. Tlaib, identifies as a Palestinian-American, has expressed a deep hatred for America:

Senate Rejects Resolution to Block President Trump From Lifting Sanctions on Russia

The Senate failed to advance a bill to prevent President Donald Trump from lifting sanctions on three Russian businesses. Eleven Republicans joined 46 Democrats to vote for cloture on the bill, but they fell three votes short of the 60 votes needed to end debate. . .

In April, the Trump administration placed U.S. sanctions on three businesses connected to an oligarch associated with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

This oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, had also been cited by prosecutors as a financial supporter of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort’s alleged criminal activity in Ukraine. Deripaska accused Manafort and Rick Gates (Trump campaign’s former deputy chairman) of disappearing with $26 million of his money.

In December, the U.S. Treasury Department announced that it was lifting sanctions on these three businesses. Sanctions on Deripaska will remain.

“Treasury sanctioned these companies because of their ownership and control by sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, not for the conduct of the companies themselves. These companies have committed to significantly diminish Deripaska’s ownership and sever his control. The companies will be subject to ongoing compliance and will face severe consequences if they fail to comply,” Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin said in the department’s news release. Study: Here’s Just How Insanely Biased News Reporting on Trump Was in 2018

No one with any hint of objectivity would say that news networks not named Fox News were “fair and balanced” when it came to President Trump in 2018. But a new study by a conservative media watchdog found that the “Big Three” networks were even more shamelessly biased against the president last year than most would think possible for outlets that present themselves as nonpartisan news sources.

The Media Research Center, which has been closely tracking news bias against Trump since he first took office, released their final 2018 report this week documenting a truly remarkable degree of one-side reported.

Since he was inaugurated on January 20, 2017, MRC has been tracking “every moment of coverage of President Trump on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts,” which a total of some 23 million viewers watch on average every night. And what they’ve found since they first started watching is amazingly consistent: the media’s spin on all Trump-related stories has been “incessantly hostile: 90% negative, vs. just 10% positive (excluding neutral statements).” That matches the historically biased coverage MRC reported in 2017.

NewsBusters summarizes what MRC analysts found over the first half of his first term:

As has been the case since the President took office, the tone of network coverage has been exceptionally hostile, ranging from 82% negative in April 2017 (after Trump was praised for a missile strike punishing Syria for a chemical weapons attack) to 96% negative in February 2018 (when the news agenda focused on the Russia investigation, demands for gun control, and a White House aide accused of domestic abuse).

Trump Derangement Syndrome: Family Wanted Woman’s Obituary to Include Line Partially Blaming Trump for Her Death

By Townhall. An 87-year-old diehard Democrat, Frances Irene Finley Williams, in Kentucky passed away the day before November. And the family says President Donald Trump had a large part to do with it. In fact, Williams told her daughter in early 2018 that, “If I die soon, all this Trump stuff has had an effect.”

When Williams passed, her family decided to make a rather strange move: they added a line in her obituary to place partial blame on Trump for the woman’s death, the Courier Journal reported.

“Her passing was hastened by her continued frustration with the Trump administration.”

The obituary with the line was submitted to a local paper by the Cremation Society of Kentucky, which handled Williams’ arrangements. It was accepted but then, just days before the obituary was set to run, it was rejected. According to the newspaper, the obituary would be accepted if the line about Trump was removed. Obit Blaming Trump for Hastening Woman’s Death Should Have Published

By Courier Journal. . .Art Williams said his mother would have appreciated the line.

She was the type who liked to put politicians’ yard signs in her front yard just to rile her eastern Jefferson County neighbors, whom she assumed were arch-conservatives.

A couple of days before the obituary was to appear in the print edition of the Courier Journal, he learned it had been rejected. He was told it could run, however, if the family removed the line about Trump.

An email from a Gannett office in Wisconsin that handles obituaries said, “we are not able to publish the obituary as is, due to the negative content within the obituary text.”

The family dutifully struck the sentence about Trump from the obit. Family members and friends attended the visitation and memorial service — none of them wearing blue jeans, shorts, flip-flops or tennis shoes. ‘First Transgender Family’ Now Transitioning Their 5-Year-Old Son to Female

A family dubbed Britain’s “first transgender family” has announced that they are encouraging the gender transition of their five-year-old son, Jayden. According to the family, Jayden, a biological male, likes dresses and hates “everything about being a boy.”

The little boy’s “step-dad,” Greg Rogers, is a 27-year-old biological female who now identifies as a male. The child’s mother is a 21-year-old woman named Jody.

Both Jodi and Greg are furious that concerned citizens (referred to as “trolls” by many U.K.-based outlets) have reported them to social services for apparent child abuse. The couple, however, maintain Jayden — who is on track to medically “transition” in a few years — is properly cared for. . .

As reported by The Daily Wire in February, parents actually lost custody of their child for refusing to encourage a gender transition:

Ohio parents were denied custody of their daughter for not being supportive enough of her alleged transgenderism. The 17-year-old biologically female child identifies as a boy and claims she has suicidal thoughts over her parents’ lack of support for her transgenderism (they won’t, for example, call her by her new chosen male name). The parents were fighting for custody of their daughter back from the state in an effort to stop potential transgender hormone treatment.

Critics Now Taking Issue With Bryan Cranston’s New Movie Role – Here’s Why

Bryan Cranston plays a quadriplegic billionaire in his new movie The Upside. He is not actually disabled, so critics are demanding he apologize.

“Most non-disabled people are afraid of becoming disabled and non-disabled people are primarily writing films about disability, so if you’re coming at it from a place of harm and fear to begin with, it’s probably not going to be an actual, accurate representation of what disability is and what disabled people’s lives are like,” filmmaker Dominick Evans said.

Cranston is not the only actor to be accused of cultural appropriation in recent years. You’ll remember that Scarlett Johansson was in hot water for accepting a role as a transgender man in the film Rub & Tug. The criticism was so fierce that she eventually abandoned the project. Emma Stone was similarly condemned for playing a part-Asian woman in the film Aloha. She yelled, “I’m sorry” for that role at last week’s Golden Globes when Sandra Oh poked some fun at the film. Is India Using U.S. Sterilization Funds for Population Control?

A group of women lay on the hospital floor, like beggars on the side of the streets, two unconscious and fighting for their life after a botched sterilization procedure. A doctor had chipped one of the women’s bladders as he rushed to snip his target. . .

Was the family fully informed about the risks and side effects of the procedure? Did they receive proper counselling, or were they lured and rushed into the program? Did they receive instructions about post-operative care? Were the doctors given targets to be achieved, and compensation for each procedure?

These are just some of the questions that scream for our attention. The answer tells whether these family planning programs violate the Tiahrt Amendment—the statutory requirement pertaining to U.S. tax dollars spent on global contraception programs like this sterilization camp. . .

India is one of the largest USAID recipients, receiving an average of $100 million each year. The money India receives for contraception is relatively higher than the total it receives for basic health. It’s highly critical for the USAID administration to ensure statutory compliance so that U.S. taxpayer money does not fuel human right abuses and targeted population control abroad.

Around 4 million sterilizations and 6 million IUD insertions were performed in India in 2017. Close to 200 million IUD insertions and 200 million sterilizations were performed in the country in just six years (2010-2016). USAID disbursements for the corresponding period add up to $100 million. This is money dedicated exclusively for contraception and does not include funds for other population policies and maternal health. Here’s How to Win the Shutdown Fight

. . .The President can start going into swing districts the Democrats just won and pointing out the Democrats went to the beach while he was trying to reopen the government and the face of the Democrats wants to abolish ICE.

President Trump has largely been off the campaign trail and in Washington because of the shutdown. He had not wanted to go out. But now he needs to hit the campaign trail. He can legitimately say he was going to stay in DC and even gave up Christmas in Florida. But now the Democrats are out saying we need to abolish ICE and they’ve decided to take a beach vacation during the shutdown.

President Trump needs to get out and make the case. He needs to make the case that Democrats have previously voted for what he is proposing. He needs to make the case that his $5 billion is not just for a wall, but for more border patrol agents, more ICE agents, more immigration judges, improvements to facilities for people seeking asylum.

President Trump needs to go into these swing districts and do local news interviews. The national press is completely in the tank for the Democrats. Local reporters are not. The President can, in person or via satellite, do in-person interviews with local reporters in local areas. Go into the Pittsburgh area. Tell the local reporters how many illegal immigrants are in the area and that the newly elected Democrat from that area is opposed to securing the border.

Crisscross the country and tell Americans that the President would have stayed in Washington, but the Democrats went to the beach and he wants the public to hear from him. Attack the national press for carrying water for the Democrats on the issue and contrast their attitude to the attitude of local reporters. Turkey and U.S. Agree to 20-Mile ‘Safe Zone’

The United States and Turkey have reportedly agreed to the creation of a 20-mile-wide “safe zone” in Syria along the Turkish border. . .

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a speech to Parliament that his country and the United States had reached an agreement. According to Erdogan, the deal had been struck during a phone call between the two world leaders on Monday.

The full details of how this “safe zone” would work are still unclear. A number of Kurdish settlements, including the cities of Qamishli and Kobani, sit right in its path. Kurdish leaders have not yet said if they would be willing to leave these settlements in return for promises that Turkey would cease its attacks their settlements elsewhere in Syria. . .

Turkey has had trouble with a Kurdish militant group inside its own borders known as the PKK. While the U.S. considers the PKK to be a terrorist group, it differentiates between the PKK and other ethnically Kurdish groups — some of which have proven to be invaluable allies, particularly in the fight against ISIS.

Turkey makes no such distinction. Instead, it has used the instability caused by the now nearly eight-year-long Syrian civil war to launch a series of incursions against Kurdish cities in Syria. (Read more from “Turkey and U.S. Agree to 20-Mile ‘Safe Zone'” HERE)
