AOC’s Green New Deal Posters Look like Soviet Union Propaganda

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is usually pretty good with her marketing. You may not like what she has to say, but she at least has style. That’s why it makes it all the more bizarre that she chose posters to advocate for her Green New Deal which as if they are right out of the Soviet Union’s propaganda machine. AOC first revealed the posters on Twitter on Friday, and conservatives were quick to point out their likeness to communist flyers of old.

“Surprise!I am thrilled to announce the launch of our #GreenNewDeal art series with custom Bronx & Queens GND posters. The Bronx edition poster will be given for free as a limited release to the public at our Pelham Bay Nature Day & Backpack Giveaway in the Bronx tomorrow,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.

“These posters push us to imagine our future with a Green New Deal in two of our beloved NY-14 parks: Pelham Bay & Flushing Meadows,” she added. “All our #GND posters are made in the US, union-printed & will be available for purchase soon, but available at organizing events now.”

Mike Pence Responds to Reports of Eyebrow-Raising Trump Comments to Aides

Vice President Mike Pence responded to recent reports of President Trump’s comments to aides, explaining the White House’s interest in Greenland and dismissing the notion that Trump asked about using nuclear weapons to stop hurricanes as “fake news” in an interview with BlazeTV host Eric Bolling to air Tuesday.

Bolling asked Pence about the Trump administration’s interest in the region after reports surfaced that President Trump had inquired with his aides about the possibility of buying Greenland from the Danish government. Pence explained that the autonomous region of the Kingdom of Denmark holds several strategic interests for U.S. national security.

“The strategic importance of the Arctic virtually grows by the day, and we continue to see Russia and China seek to extend their influence into the Arctic region. And I think the president was interested in engaging in a discussion with Denmark,” Pence said.

Although some pundits mocked the president for his “wacky” idea and the government of Greenland rebuffed the purchase offer, some, like Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., support the idea, arguing the region holds strategic importance to confront China.

Pence noted that Greenland’s strategic importance is one reason the U.S. maintains a military base there.

“Greenland is a part of North America first and foremost. And so from a security standpoint, it makes more sense. We have a military base there now. It makes more sense for the United States to have a dominant role in Greenland, just in the interest of our own national security and our sphere of influence in this hemisphere,” Pence said.

“But beyond that, I think it’s just an opportunity that I think the president was interested in discussing with the leadership in Denmark, and who knows if someday, down the road, it might be a topic that they’re willing to broach,” he added.

Bolling also asked the vice president about a report from Axios’ Jonathan Swan that the president suggested to aides that nuclear weapons might be used against hurricanes to stop them from reaching the United States.

“I got it. I got it. Why don’t we nuke them?” the president reportedly said during a meeting with national security officials. “They start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can’t we do that?”

President Trump dismissed the report as “ridiculous” and denied ever saying such a thing.

Pence echoed the president’s dismissal.

“The president’s made it very clear that he’s never made a suggestion like that, and I’ve never heard him make a suggestion like that. We’ve got a term for that sort of thing at the White House; it’s called fake news,” he told Bolling.

“It just seems like not a day goes by that somebody in the media doesn’t find something to print or publish or put on the internet,” he added. “But it’s one of the things I most admire about this president is no matter what the media is out there talking about on any given day, no matter what the critics or the naysayers are talking about, this is a president who literally gets up every day and fights to keep the promises that he made to the American people.”

Eric Bolling’s full interview with Vice President Pence will air exclusively on “America with Eric Bolling” at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday, only available on BlazeTV.

REPUBLICAN Governor Applauds ILLEGAL Discounted State College Tuition for Illegal Aliens

Do the people of Arizona have a say in the future of their own state, or is their destiny controlled completely by illegal aliens working with unelected bureaucrats and courts to override state and federal law? Evidently, Doug Ducey, the alleged Republican governor of the Grand Canyon State, believes that illegal aliens should receive privileges as Arizonans. Arizonans will continue to pay for the rope to hang themselves and they will like it, according to Ducey. Who needs Democrats when Republicans have already turned the state blue?

Last week, the Arizona Board of Regents voted unanimously to offer illegal aliens a discounted tuition rate for attendance at state universities. They set the rate at $16,500, which is $5,500 more than the standard rate in-state residents pay of $11,000, but well under the $30,000 American citizens from other states have to pay. One would expect that the governor would immediately work with the legislature to fix this travesty passed by an unelected body of bureaucrats, especially at a time when illegal immigration needs to be deterred more than ever. Shockingly, as if he’s trying to pour lighter fluid on the immigration fire at Arizona’s border, Governor Ducey praised the decision earlier this week, according to the Arizona Republic.

In an interview with KJZZ host Mark Brodie, posted online Tuesday, the Republican leader said he believes that “somebody that graduates from an Arizona high school is an Arizona kid.”

“I congratulate the regents for a first step around this,” Ducey said. “I do believe that if you are here and graduate from an Arizona high school, you should have the same opportunities that anyone else that graduates from Arizona high schools has.”

So, according to Ducey, are the children among the 66 Central Americans who just marched into the Tucson sector on Wednesday deemed “Arizona kids” as well? Well, they haven’t attended high school yet, but once they step foot here, the unelected courts make them go to primary school on the taxpayer dime. Does that make them an Arizonan so they can get a subsidized college education as well? Evidently so.

Making Arizonans pay for the rope to hang themselves

At a time when Arizona is getting slammed with the hospital costs, the drug-running, the crime, gangs, cartel activities, sexual assaults, and health concerns stemming from illegal immigration, the governor’s focus is on the wants of the illegal aliens and not on the citizens suffering from the influx of illegal immigration. At a time when unelected judges in the Ninth Circuit are forcing Arizona to grant one benefit after another, he joins in with another unelected body to grant them discounted tuition.

Just consider the following:

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, as of 2013, there were 630,700 illegal aliens residing in Arizona (including American-born babies of illegal immigrants, erroneously deemed citizens). That is a population of foreign invaders larger than the total population of any single colony at the time of our Founding. And that was six years ago, before the newer influx of Central Americans.

Over 10 percent of the state’s public school population is composed of illegal alien children, according to Pew Research. When coupled with the fiscal strain of health care and incarceration, the total cost of illegal immigration is $2.4 billion a year.

A recent study by John Lott of 32 years of prison data in Arizona concluded that illegal immigrants in Arizona are at least 142 percent more likely to be convicted of crime than other Arizonans. They are more likely to be convicted of serious violent crimes: at least 163 percent more likely for first-degree murder; 168 percent more likely for second-degree murder; and 189.6 percent more likely for manslaughter. Also, Lott’s data confirms what some of us see anecdotally every day but is ignored by the national media – that illegal aliens in Arizona are more likely to commit sexual offenses against minors, sexual assault, drunk driving, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

Justice Scalia observed in his partial dissent in Arizona v. U.S. (2012) that “Arizona bears the brunt of the country’s illegal immigration problem” and that “its citizens feel themselves under siege by large numbers of illegal immigrants who invade their property, strain their social services, and even place their lives in jeopardy.” He concluded, “If securing its territory in this fashion is not within the power of Arizona, we should cease referring to it as a sovereign State.”

Yet Ducey thinks that now, of all times, illegal immigration needs to be further incentivized?

Mr. Ducey must understand that in a republic, the power must flow from the people through their elected representatives. That is doubly true in the case of adding a new member to the society. That decision must be made by the citizens, not invaders. If Ducey wants to start a charity to raise money for other countries’ citizens, that is his prerogative, but the resources of the American people and their governments are not his to give away.

If Republicans in Arizona continue nominating such weak representatives to the governorships and the Senate, the state will turn blue. Not just because of the self-fulfilling prophecy of blue immigration policies leading to more blue voters, but because when voters are faced with the same policies from both parties, they will always choose the more authentic version.

Tuition breaks for illegal aliens violate federal and state law

Whenever the people get a say in the matter, they vote the opposite way. Federal law is very clear. Nothing can be done to induce, encourage, harbor, or shield illegal aliens from detection (8 U.S.C. §1324). Furthermore, federal law, which passed unanimously by the Senate and was signed by Bill Clinton in 1996, very clearly bars this arrangement of charging illegal aliens a slightly higher rate than state residents because it is still much lower than out of state residents:

“An alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State (or a political subdivision) for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident.” (Section 505 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (IIRIRA), codified as 8 U.S.C. § 1623.)

Those were laws passed by Arizona’s representatives. Why are they not being followed? The gulf between the citizens and the elites is enormous. Swing voters and even lean-Democrat voters are to the right of Republican elites on this issue.

Additionally, voters of the state went to the ballot box in 2006, which in general, was a terrible year for Republicans, and voted 71-29 percent to bar in-state tuition for illegal aliens. For a Republican governor to applaud this clever end run around the people’s will of discounting tuition for illegal aliens, but stopping short of offering full in-state rates, is a repugnant elitist rejection of his own voters.

Ducey scoffed at the threat of a lawsuit:

“We live in a litigious society, and … it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if someone brought suit,” Ducey said. “I think the regents did their best to design this so … that they follow the law.

“I think we need to continue to follow the law, but we also want to make certain that Arizona high school graduates don’t have to leave our state to pursue opportunity.”

Leave no illegal alien behind!

No state in the country has been jackbooted by the courts more than Arizona. Yet Ducey never mentions a word about the Ninth Circuit’s assault on the state’s sovereignty, forcing it to issue driver’s licenses to illegal aliens and preventing it from stopping non-citizens from voting, for example. And he then dismisses the notion of the sovereign citizens finally using the courts against illegal aliens to sue for what is rightfully theirs.

Just whose country is this, anyway? (For more from the author of “Republican Governor Applauds Illegal Discounted State College Tuition for Illegal Aliens” please click HERE)

The DOJ Inspector General Releases ‘Damning’ Report on James Comey; Trump Takes Comey To The Woodshed

By PJ Media. [T]he Inspector General of the Department of Justice released its report on former FBI Director James Comey, “Report of Investigation of Former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey’s Disclosure of Sensitive Investigative Information and Handling of Certain Memoranda.”

Page 2:

Upon completing our investigation, pursuant to Section 4(d) of the Inspector General Act of 1978, the OIG provided a copy of its factual findings to the Department for a prosecutorial decision regarding Comey’s conduct. See 5 U.S.C.A. App. 3 § 4(d) (2016). After reviewing the matter, the Department declined prosecution. Thereafter, we prepared this report to consider whether Comey’s actions violated Department or FBI policy, or the terms of Comey’s FBI Employment Agreement. As described in this report, we conclude that Comey’s retention, handling, and dissemination of certain Memos violated Department and FBI policies, and his FBI Employment Agreement.

Page 61:

We have previously faulted Comey for acting unilaterally and inconsistent with Department policy. Comey’s unauthorized disclosure of sensitive law enforcement information about the Flynn investigation merits similar criticism. In a country built on the rule of law, it is of utmost importance that all FBI employees adhere to Department and FBI policies, particularly when confronted by what appear to be extraordinary circumstances or compelling personal convictions. Comey had several other lawful options available to him to advocate for the appointment of a Special Counsel, which he told us was his goal in making the disclosure. What was not permitted was the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive investigative information, obtained during the course of FBI employment, in order to achieve a personally desired outcome.

Trump Takes James Comey to the Woodshed, Who Just Got Blasted by DOJ Inspector General

By Townhall. . .Yeah, if this is just an appetizer to the full-course meal we’re about to be served regarding FISA and the origins of the Russia collusion, we’re about to have a hell of a Fall concerning Deep State antics—and it could be scorching for Democrats. The dirty laundry is about to be aired. Will there be any accountability? It remains to be seen. I doubt it. But it will give the Trump White House and conservative America reassurances in their feelings about the elites, the intelligence community, and the notion that there were actors acting not in accordance with established department policy in an effort to tilt the 2016 election. And the fish rots from the head.

Oh yeah, where was Trump when this news broke? Well, he took to Twitter to take his turn slamming Comey for his conduct as head of the FBI.

“Perhaps never in the history of our Country has someone been more thoroughly disgraced and excoriated than James Comey in the just released Inspector General’s Report. He should be ashamed of himself!,” he wrote.

Does This Federal Appellate Case Risk Killing the Electoral College?

. . .Last week, three years after Trump won the election, the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a ruling over Micheal Baca’s “faithless electing.” Baca was a Hillary-hating Democratic elector in Colorado; in 2016, he cast his ballot for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, despite Clinton having won Colorado’s popular vote. Colorado’s Secretary of State then removed Baca as an elector, threw out his vote, and replaced him with a Hillary voter. Baca sued for violation of his civil rights, and that case made its way up to the 10th Circuit.

Now’s a good time to point out that votes of electors are governed by state law; that means, of course, that the specifics on those laws vary from state to state. Some statutes specifically spell out what happens if an elector goes rogue, and others do not. While examining Colorado’s response to Baca’s refusal to fall in line, the 10th Circuit took a gander at the U.S. Constitution — specifically, the Twelfth Amendment. Writing for the 2-1 majority, Appellate Judge Carolyn McHugh ruled that for quite some time now, we’ve been getting things wrong.

According to Judge McHugh, the framers of the Constitution said what they meant and meant what they said; if they used the word “vote” to describe the electors’ function, they really meant “vote,” with all the independent judgment that the word implies. Colorado, the judge ruled, shouldn’t be interfering:

We therefore agree with Mr. Baca that the use of these terms supports a determination that the electors, once appointed, are free to vote as they choose. And if that freedom emanates directly from the Constitution, state law cannot strip it away.

. . .

The next few weeks will be critical for the future of the electoral college. If certiorari is sought in the Colorado case, litigants will have a compelling argument that the case presents an important split among the circuits. And if the case is taken up by the high court, it may find itself landing on friendly soil. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has already gone on record saying that she would support changes to the electoral college system. Joe Biden Told Moving Military Story at Campaign Stop – but It ‘Never Happened’

. . .The controversy surrounds a moving military story — which the former VP claimed to be the “God’s truth” — that Biden told at a campaign stop in New Hampshire earlier this month.

The only problem was that the story was not true, according to The Washington Post. Biden was quick to respond to the allegation on Thursday, speaking to a Washington Post’s Cape Up podcast. “I was making the point how courageous these people are, how incredible they are, this generation of warriors, these fallen angels we’ve lost,” he said. “I don’t know what the problem is. What is it that I said wrong?”

Earlier, Biden’s allegedly tall tale was an emotional account of his decision to travel to Afghanistan, despite concerns about visiting a war-torn area, in order to honor a Navy captain for retrieving the body of his dead comrade during battle.

According to Biden, he brushed off concerns about the risk of him traveling to the deadly area. “We can lose a vice president,” he said, recounting his words to a crowd during an event on Friday. “We can’t lose many more of these kids. Not a joke.” His story involved the captain dramatically telling Biden he didn’t want the medal because his comrade ended up dying.

But after speaking with more than a dozen military and campaign sources, the Post determined the event “never happened” and that “almost every detail in the story appears to be incorrect.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Told Moving Military Story at Campaign Stop – but It ‘Never Happened'” HERE)

Study Proves: There Is No ‘Gay Gene’

Recent polls have shown that most Americans believe that homosexuals are “born that way” rather than become gay as the result of environmental factors. In fact, perpetuating the belief that sexual orientation is innate has been crucial to the gay rights movement. According to the most recent Gallup Poll on the subject, 88 percent of people who believe homosexuals are “born that way” support the legality of same-sex marriage, while only 39 percent of those who believe homosexuality is the result of environmental factors support the legality of same-sex marriage.

So, what happens when science proves that homosexuals aren’t “born that way”? Perhaps we’ll find out. A new comprehensive scientific study of the biological roots of sexual orientation released Thursday proved that there no “gay gene” and that genetic factors are insignificant in determining sexual orientation.

The research, which analyzed data on DNA and sexual experiences from almost half a million people, found there are thousands of genetic variants linked to same-sex sexual behavior, most with very small effects. . .

“We scanned the entire human genome and found a handful – five to be precise – of locations that are clearly associated with whether a person reports in engaging in same-sex sexual behavior,” said Andrea Ganna, a biologist at the Institute of Molecular Medicine in Finland who co-led the research.

According to Ganna, these genetic variances have “a very small effect” on sexual behavior, and combined, only explain “considerably less than 1% of the variance in the self-reported same-sex sexual behavior.” This means that non-genetic factors, including environment, upbringing, personality, and nurture “are far more significant in influencing a person’s choice of sexual partner, just as with most other personality, behavioral and physical human traits,” according to the researchers. Donald Trump Cancels Trip to Poland in Response to Hurricane Dorian; Florida Hurricane Now a Category 2 Storm and Is Expected to Strengthen

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he would cancel his trip to Poland, as Hurricane Dorian approaches Florida.

“It looks like it could be a very very big one indeed,” Trump said.

The president was scheduled to attend ceremonies in Poland Sunday marking the 80th Anniversary of the start of World War II. Trump announced the cancelation of his plans ahead of a speech in the Rose Garden hailing the return of Space Command.

He said he would remain in the United States to ensure that the country was prepared for the arriving storm.

“Our highest priority is the safety and security of the people in the path of the hurricane,” he said. (Read more from “Donald Trump Cancels Trip to Poland in Response to Hurricane Dorian” HERE)

Dorian Now a Category 2 Storm and Is Expected to Strengthen

By CBS News. Hurricane Dorian strengthened to a Category 2 storm on Thursday night as officials said it is expected to hit Florida even harder than previously thought, prompting a widened state of emergency. The storm is on track to make landfall early Monday as a powerful Category 4 hurricane — it could be the strongest direct hit to Florida’s east coast since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

Florida residents rushed to supermarkets across the states collecting food and supplies.

The National Weather Service said Dorian could bring a “triple-threat of dangers” to Florida — including “life-threatening storm surge, devastating hurricane-force winds and heavy rains.” They urged Floridians to “prepare NOW.”

Joe Biden Goes After Illegal Alien Detention Centers

By Breitbart. Former vice president Joe Biden told an town hall at Clinton College in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Thursday afternoon that he would close down migrant shelters and detention facilities at the border.

Biden was asked by a Clinton College student what he would do to improve and help migrants in the facilities reunite with their families.

“Close them down!” Biden declared, to loud applause.

“No, no, no, no, no, no,” he continued. “We don’t need them. We [meaning President Barack Obama and himself] found that, when we were in office, in fact … [when] we finally got things under control, you have to report back for a hearing on such-and-such a date, people show up!”

Biden neglected to mention that many of the migrant shelters and detention facilities were opened under the Obama administration (or, as Biden refers to it, the “Obama-Biden administration), after a massive surge of unaccompanied minors to the border. Biden Calls to Shut down Immigration Detention Centers: ‘We Don’t Need Them!’

By Washington Examiner. . .Back in July, Biden promised that if elected to the White House, he would not detain migrant children at the detention centers on the border. He made this pledge after meeting with over 20 members of BOLDPAC, a political action committee that funds the reelection campaigns of Congressional Hispanic Caucus members on Capitol Hill.

Minors who travel to the border with legal guardians are brought into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with the rest of their family, where the entire unit is ordinarily released within 20 days.

The Trump administration recently announced plans to allow DHS to hold migrant families in detention for longer periods of time than what is currently allowed under the 2015 Flores Settlement Agreement. The Obama administration, however, had already held migrant families for longer periods than 20 days up until the Flores Settlement Agreement was established.

Biden’s current stance puts him in alignment with his fellow Democratic primary opponents who also called to shut down the facilities including New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker who wants to “virtually eliminate immigration detention,” as well as California Sen. Kamala Harris, who called to “Get rid of the private detention centers.” (Read more from “Biden Calls to Shut down Immigration Detention Centers: ‘We Don’t Need Them!'” HERE)

WATCH: President Trump Establishes the Space Command

By The Blaze. President Donald Trump announced the establishment of the U.S. Space Command from the Rose Garden of the White House Thursday.

The president congratulated General Jay Raymond as the first commander of the US Space Command. Raymond had been in command of the Air Force Space Command since October 2016.

The Space Command is not the much promised “Space Force,” which the president said would follow soon.

“SpaceCom will soon be followed, very importantly, by the establishment of the United States Space Force as the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces, and that’s really something when you think about it,” he said. . .

“SpaceCom will ensure that America’s dominance in space is never questioned, and never threatened,” Trump added, “because we know the best way to prevent conflict is to prepare for victory.” (Read more from “President Trump Establishes the Space Command” HERE)

Trump Declares New Space Command Key to American Defense

By WBNS. . .Space Force, which has become a reliable applause line for Trump at his campaign rallies, has yet to win final approval by Congress.

The renewed focus on space as a military domain reflects concern about the vulnerability of U.S. satellites, both military and commercial, that are critical to U.S. interests and are potentially susceptible to disruption by Chinese and Russian anti-satellite weapons.

The role of the new Space Command is to conduct operations such as enabling satellite-based navigation and communications for troops and commanders in the field and providing warning of missile launches abroad. That is different from a Space Force, which would be a distinct military service like the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and Coast Guard.
