Report: Elizabeth Warren’s Brother ‘Furious’ Over Her Latest Alleged False Claim

Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren reportedly angered her brother David Warren over the way that she has characterized what their father did for work, calling him a “janitor,” a term that David Warren says is false.

The Boston Globe reported:

Families can also disagree on the details of a shared life. According to a family friend, David has disagreed with the way Warren calls herself the daughter of a janitor as she describes the work he found after losing a job as a salesman after his heart attack.

“When she called her dad a janitor during the early stages of this, David was furious,” said Pamela Winblood, 78, a longtime friend of David who had fallen out with him and supports Warren’s presidential bid. “He said, ‘My Dad was never a janitor.’ I said, ‘Well, he was a maintenance man.’ ” (In an interview, Warren said she had no idea why that characterization would bother her brother; she has referred to their father as a “maintenance man” in her 2014 autobiography but often as a “janitor” on the campaign trail.)

A separate report noted that Warren recognized the difference between working in maintenance and janitorial services in her book where she repeatedly referred to her father as a maintenance man. WATCH: Intruder Caught on Video Entering Home, Grabbing 11-Year-Old Girl Before Being Chased off by the Child’s Father

A terrifying home invasion attempt in Florida was caught on surveillance video the night of Christmas Eve, when a suspect grabbed an 11-year-old girl and followed her inside her house while attempting to quiet the child. . .

Ava Kloepfer, 11, stepped out on the back porch of her home on Tuesday, when she was startled by an intruder who can be seen on video grabbing the child by the arm, and pushing her back inside the house while he followed. Moments later, the suspect can be seen fleeing as Ava’s father, Derek Kloepfer, ran to confront the intruder.

Kloepfer told WOFL-TV the suspect had “a scared look in his eye and automatically turned around and ran.” He added, “If I would have grabbed him, I’m sure there would have been some consequences.”

Kloepfer called 911 and said police responded in roughly five minutes, and were able to apprehend the suspect about an hour later.

Authorities say Steven Hasugulgum, 21, is the man who grabbed Ava. After the attack, a woman who lived nearby called authorities saying a suspect matching Hasugulgum’s description tried to burglarize her home, and described the intruder as “acting erratic and holding a hammer.” (Read more from “Watch: Intruder Caught on Video Entering Home, Grabbing 11-Year-Old Girl Before Being Chased off by the Child’s Father” HERE)

Woman Punches Victim in the Face After They Wished Her a Merry Christmas

The war on Christmas lodged a brief battle in Avondale, Ohio, where a woman is accused of punching another person in the face for saying “Merry Christmas.”

Local law enforcement says that Henrietta Bush responded to the common holiday greeting from a woman by assaulting her on Christmas day. They say she punched the woman numerous times, according to court records reported by WLWT-5.

Bush, who is 32 years old, has been charged with assault and menacing in the past, according to WKRC. She spent Christmas evening in jail over the alleged assault. (Read more from “Woman Punches Victim in the Face After They Wished Her a Merry Christmas” HERE)

Restaurant Worker: The Minimum Wage Law Killed Jobs Including Mine

. . .One restaurant worker in Seattle wrote in The Wall Street Journal this month that while she’s progressive, the minimum wage hike in the city led to her losing her job before Christmas. She also implored the far-left, economically illiterate dolts who push this policy to slow down:

This city’s minimum wage is rising to $16.39 an hour on Jan. 1. Instead of receiving a bigger paycheck, I’m left without any pay at all due to the policy change. That’s because the restaurant where I’ve worked for six years is closing as a consequence of the city’s harmful minimum-wage experiment. . .

But being an established chef and a good employer doesn’t save you from the burden of a sharp minimum-wage increase, up 73% from $9.47 in 2015. For large-scale employers like Mr. Douglas, there’s no separate rate for workers who earn tips. In Washington and a handful of other states, tips aren’t counted as income earned on the job. That means restaurateurs are expected to pay servers like me the full minimum wage in addition to our considerable tip income. . .

I’ve lived in this city for almost 20 years, supporting my family thanks to the full-service-restaurant industry. Today I’m struggling because of a policy meant to help me. I’m proudly progressive in my politics, but my experience shows that progressives should reconsider minimum-wage laws that hurt the very workers they’re trying to protect.

Here’s Who Trump Blames for Being Cut out of Home Alone 2

President Donald Trump blamed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday amid news that his scene in the popular Christmas movie “Home Alone 2” was cut out in showings by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). . .

The CBC told the Daily Caller on Thursday that they cut Trump’s cameo in the film because it wasn’t integral to the plot, and added that the decision had nothing to do with politics.

“As is often the case with feature films adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited for time,” Chuck Thompson, head of public affairs for CBC, told the Caller. “The scene with Donald Trump was one of several that were cut from the movie as none of them were integral to plot.” (Read more from “Here’s Who Trump Blames for Being Cut out of Home Alone 2” HERE)

Here Are the Most Extreme Pro-Abortion Policies of 2019

Pro-abortion lawmakers throughout the United States sought to instate policies in 2019 that expanded abortion access and removed safeguards on abortions. . .

Timing his move with the 46th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act in January. The bill not only removed abortion from New York’s criminal code, but it also allows non-doctors to perform abortions and allows women to obtain late-term abortions if their health is in danger or if their unborn baby is not viable. . .

Democratic Virginia Delegate Kathy Tran introduced HB 2491 in January, a bill that would allow doctors to perform abortions while the mother is giving birth. Virginia law currently states that second and third-trimester abortions should only be performed to preserve the health or life of the mother. . .

Maine took a shot at the state’s health and safety standards for abortions when Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Mills signed a bill June 11 permitting nondoctors, physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses to perform abortions. . .

Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker in June signed the Reproductive Health Act, a law that makes abortion “a fundamental right” in the state of Illinois. The law is designed to alert women in surrounding states that they can travel to Illinois to receive abortions if they cannot receive them at home. 2020 Dem Slammed for Christmas Tweet

2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg sparked a backlash on Christmas Day when he tweeted that Jesus Christ came into the world “not as a citizen but as a refugee.”

The Democratic South Bend, Indiana, mayor wished his followers a “merry Christmas” and said he and millions of others around the world were celebrating the “arrival of divinity on earth.”

Buttigieg also noted that Jesus Christ “came into this world not in riches but in poverty, not as a citizen but as a refugee.”

Some Twitter users responded to Buttigieg’s tweet and said Jesus was born in Bethlehem because his father and mother had traveled to the city for a census.

“Jesus was not born a refugee,” tweeted New England Patriots football player Benjamin Watson. “Read the text. But indeed he was God incarnate born in humble surroundings, in fulfillment of prophecy, on mission to save all mankind. Merry Christmas!” (Read more from “2020 Dem Slammed for Christmas Tweet” HERE)

The Pentagon Continues to Push Our Soldiers in Afghanistan While Bringing in More Middle Eastern Military Personnel to Train Here

Just in one week, Pentagon officials announced they see no security threat in bringing Middle Eastern personnel to train on our military bases, while they believe there is a threat if we don’t continue the Kabul urban renewal project, aka the Afghan war. At the same time, another decorated soldier died over there, just after Congress passed a defense bill dealing with everything except for defense of our soldiers. “Invade the world, invite the world” is still the guiding vision of our broken Pentagon leaders.

Sgt. 1st Class Michael Goble, a Green Beret and Bronze Star recipient, was completing his final tour in Afghanistan when he was killed Monday in the northern Kunduz province, in a roadside bombing. His remains were flown home to his family on Christmas day. Whereas in years past, a soldier solemnly removing his hat when informing the family members of the death was able to look the loved ones in the eyes and tell them how the soldier died while we were taking vital ground in a clear mission, today there are no words to describe the vanity of the mission.

This year, 24 soldiers have died in Afghanistan, the most since 2014. Every single special ops group has lost a soldier this year. This is two and a half years since Trump promised a new strategy there. But as I noted at the time, there is no strategy. The Afghans are just as compromised as ever. Our soldiers are engaged in the most dangerous combat — counterinsurgency patrolling in villages where they are ambushed, often by the very forces they are “mentoring.”

We can have the strongest military in the world, but there is no way we can send isolated units into these types of cities on foot patrol and leave them there indefinitely without any defensive lines or strategic offensive vision, while any suicide bomber dressed as a civilian can attack them directly or with a roadside bomb. This isn’t a war; this is a social work operation in a war zone – the worst combination of all.

It is truly shocking how even after the Washington Post published an exhaustive expose showing that the Pentagon brass knew Afghanistan was an incorrigible and counterintuitive mission, this administration is still pressing on. The expose, which was based on thousands of interviews compiled by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, found decades of deceit and obfuscation about “progress” in the theater. Nothing was done in the defense bill to rectify the situation except that more money was thrown at the Afghan military and we are bringing in thousands more to become immigrants in America! To top it off, the defense bill Trump signed last Friday even pays for Taliban expenses during negotiations.

Shockingly, Army Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said last week he doesn’t believe the soldiers died for nothing.

“I do not. I absolutely do not,” he said at a news conference on Friday responding to the Washington Post expose. “I could not look at myself in the mirror. I couldn’t answer myself at 2 or 3 in the morning when my eyes pop open and I see the dead roll in front of my eyes. So no, I don’t think anybody has died in vain, per se.”

OK, so what did they die for? The mythical “Afghan military?”

These are the same generals Trump once referred to as being “reduced to rubble,” yet instead of draining the swamp, he has promoted them. On September 4, 2013, Milley, then a three-star general, said about the Afghan military, “This army and this police force have been very, very effective in combat against the insurgents every single day. And I think that’s an important story to be told across the board.”

Defense Secretary Mark Esper, another swamp monster promoted by Trump, said, “We have a mission in Afghanistan, and that is to ensure that it never again becomes a safe haven for terrorists.” Standing next to General Milley at Friday’s press conference, he promised to remain in the godforsaken country “until we are confident that that mission is complete, we will retain a presence to do that.”

The problem with that, as the 9/11 commission staff report said, is that 9/11 was all about visas and immigration because “terrorists cannot plan and carry out attacks in the United States if they are unable to enter the country.” Yet, thanks to these policies, we are sending our soldiers there to build up an Islamic military, and then we are bringing some here to train. This very defense bill that Trump bragged about signing added another 4,000 special immigrant visas for Afghanistan. We’ve been bringing in about 10,000 a year! Prior to 9/11, we barely had immigrants from there. Now, aside from 2,500 dead and tens of thousands of wounded soldiers, we have nothing to show for the war other than 100,000 largely unvetted new Afghani migrants. This is something George Orwell couldn’t have choreographed.

Worse, at the same time, the Pentagon is now saying it sees no threat of terrorism in the military training of foreign military personnel on our bases in light of the Pensacola attack. Last Thursday, the Pentagon announced that following background checks on all Saudi military trainees in the country, it found no “immediate threat scenario.” Remember, these are the same people who, in 2017, found no threat from Mohammad Alshamrani after he tweeted jihadist material. I guess the immediacy of a threat is all relative.

Meanwhile, these same swamp generals refuse to pay attention to our own border, even as they fund endless security programs and even border wall construction in the Middle East. At some point, conservatives must ask which swamp we are draining. Nancy Pelosi Is Playing Political Games With the U.S. Constitution Over Donald Trump’s Impeachment; Trump Lashes out at Pelosi on Christmas

By Newsweek. No one can be sure what her intent is. I’m not sure she even knows but her decision to wait before transmitting the articles of impeachment to the Senate is setting a bad precedent that puts politics ahead of the U.S. Constitution.

For all the work that’s gone into addressing the charges against President Donald Trump, it’s hard to argue they rise to the level of impeachable offenses. The charge of obstruction of Congress could just as easily be presented as a justifiable defense of executive power for which ample precedent exists. The allegation he abused the power of his office is likewise flawed. While U.S. policy toward Ukraine is legitimately a subject for congressional oversight it is hardly the stuff of which previous presidents were threatened with removal from office. . .

What Pelosi wants is at least one more bite at the apple, maybe more. Her minions have been trying to impeach the president for most of his administration. The votes taken just prior to Christmas on articles of impeachment were not the first and, if you can believe what’s being said over the holiday recess, may not be the last. As Politico is reporting, “The House is open to the prospect of impeaching President Donald Trump a second time, lawyers for the Judiciary Committee said Monday.”

Will it ever end? Probably not. Just as Bill Clinton gave us what came to be called “the permanent campaign,” Nancy Pelosi and her allies are giving America “the permanent impeachment.” For all her high-minded talk about the gravity of the situation and the steps being taken by the House, she’s messing around with the Constitution while trying to overturn the results of the last election and influence the outcome of the next. She might succeed, at least as far as the latter effort is concerned, but not in the way she intends. Trump Lashes out at Pelosi on Christmas, Decries ‘Scam Impeachment’

By The Hill. President Trump on Wednesday lashed out at Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a pair of tweets Christmas night, decrying what he called a “Scam Impeachment.”

“Why should Crazy Nancy Pelosi, just because she has a slight majority in the House, be allowed to Impeach the President of the United States?” wrote Trump, who is staying at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., for the holidays.

He also called the impeachment process “very unfair.”

Rebuked for ‘Offensive’ Remarks on Soros’s Jewishness, Giuliani Doubles Down; Rudy Giuliani Raises Eyebrows After Calling Himself ‘Former Attorney General of the United States’ on Facebook Page

By The Times of Israel. US President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudi Giuliani continued to attack the Jewishness of George Soros Tuesday, despite being rebuked by a prominent anti-Semitism watchdog for an earlier statement questioning the Jewishness of the liberal philanthropist. . .

In an interview with New York Magazine, conducted on December 8 and published Monday, Giuliani, who is Christian, claimed that he was “more of a Jew than Soros is,” accusing the businessman of being an “enemy of Israel.”

“He doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue. He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel. He’s elected eight anarchist DA’s in the United States. He’s a horrible human being.”

He also claimed Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine, was “controlled” by Soros, as were other ambassadors, repeating a common conspiracy theory regarded as anti-Semitic by some. . .

His comments drew a strong backlash from Anti-Defamation League chief Jonathan Greenblatt, who told The Daily Beast that “Mr. Giuliani is not the arbiter of who is Jewish and who is not, or what is anti-Semitic and what is not.”

Rudy Giuliani Raises Eyebrows After Calling Himself ‘Former Attorney General of the United States’ on Facebook Page

By Fox News. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani had critics scratching their heads on Tuesday after publicizing his Facebook page, where he referred to himself as a “Former Attorney General of the United States.”

Giuliani, who has made headlines in recent months over his involvement with the Ukraine scandal as President Trump’s personal attorney, plugged his Facebook page on Tuesday and teased users about findings from his “investigation.” . . .

In addition to the erroneous listing, Giuliani is also described as a “government official” despite his current role as the president’s personal lawyer.

Giuliani’s LinkedIn page correctly states that he was a U.S. Associate Attorney General between February 1981 and June 1983 under former President Ronald Reagan. He then spent five-and-a-half years as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, leaving that position on New Year’s Day, 1989.
