It’s Time for Revolt Against Intolerable and Indefensible Tyranny

We no longer have a government that is legitimately deriving its powers from the consent of the American people on any level. Illegal aliens and criminals are getting standing in court for benefits while we are suffering from the worst tyranny in our nation’s history. When will the American people rise up?

Our Founders fought the concept of “taxation without representation.” Shouldn’t we rise up against government worker compensation without representation until this coronavirus fascism is ended?

One thing is clear: After this economic Hiroshima has settled, all jobs will be gone except for government jobs. As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, every government worker – regardless of how important and essential his job is at any time, much less at a time like this – will receive 100 percent of his salary. Yet all those small businesses and the lifetime of dreams, tears, toil, and sweat that went into them will be gone. Isn’t it time for government officials to share in the pain of the shutdown their bosses are imposing on the private sector? To that end, the citizenry must rise up and demand that their county councilmen, state legislators, and Congress convene and pass the following propositions:

All top government officials should not get paid until this is over.

State taxes should be suspended.

All nonessential government workers should have their salaries and hours cut back 30 percent for every week this goes on.

All county councilmen and state legislatures must permanently strip executives of emergency powers beyond 24 hours without consent from a legislative body.

No regulations on individuals or family activities that are not in violation of CDC distancing guidelines.

No federal bailouts for the states.

Putting the economic effects aside, the assault on our way of life is even worse. This virus, coming from China, has turned us into China. Just over the past few days, we have witnessed the Michigan governor ban all travel to a friend or relative’s home. The same governors who would sue the president for banning travel from countries with terrorists now violate the most inalienable right of freedom of movement.

We’ve seen a 12-year-old girl cited for playing basketball alone. We’ve witnessed the Louisville mayor ban drive-through church services for Easter and the Kentucky governor sending out police to check the licens plates of those parked in church parking lots.

We all watched with horror as a dad in Colorado was handcuffed for playing ball with his 6-year-old daughter and a man was dragged off a Philadelphia subway car for not wearing a mask. Just like in China. The only clause of the Bill of Rights still left intact is freedom of speech, if not freedom of assembly, although Facebook has already censored an article of mine and Medium has taken down very well-written articles by doctors questioning the strategy behind the shutdown.

The Stamp Act and Intolerable Acts were much more tolerable that what is going on today. And remember, they are just getting started. Dr. Fauci, who seems to be running the country, is talking about possibly getting back to some “degree of normality” … by November. Remember, as C.S. Lewis warned, “Those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

Throughout all of this, we must ask: Where is President Trump? The other side has tyrannical state and local officials, but where is our voice at the federal level, and why is Fauci able to rule over us?

Trump supporters must demand the following from the president:

Immediately fire Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Promise never to give another penny to state governments prolonging this shutdown, as Maryland Governor Larry Hogan asks for another $500 billion to bail out his mendacity.

Threaten federal lawsuits against states violating civil rights.

Threaten to call in the National Guard to enforce the Constitution against those state officials needlessly implementing martial law, the same way President Eisenhower did in Arkansas when state schools resisted desegregation.

Amid all the tyranny, we ironically have a large degree of anarchy, as criminals are released and go undeterred. Police boast about going after everyday Americans for violating the lawless lockdown edicts of governors, but seem impotent in dealing with dangerous criminals. Also, illegal aliens, who don’t belong in this country to begin with, continue to be released by judges, while Americans are treated like illegal aliens outside their homes.

Our Declaration of Independence established our right to life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and governance by consent. It also established the principle that that “whenever any Formof Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

This is our right to self-government. As it states in the Maryland Declaration of Rights: “Trustees of the Public, and, as such, accountable for their conduct: Wherefore, whenever the ends of Government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the People may, and of right ought, to reform the old, or establish a new Government; the doctrine of non-resistance against arbitrary power and oppression is absurd, slavish and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.”

COVID-19: Photos Show Bodies Piled in Closet, Slumped in Chair at Detroit Hospital; New York State Death Toll Surpasses 10,000

By New York Post. A Detroit hospital is so overwhelmed with dead coronavirus patients that it is stashing the bodies on top of each other in a closet — and even sitting one upright in a chair in a hotel-like room usually reserved for sleep studies, jarring photos show.

“All I know is we ran out of beds to keep our patients on, so we couldn’t spare any for the bodies,” an emergency-room worker at Sinai-Grace Hospital – Detroit Medical Center told CNN, which obtained the snapshots, according to network reporter Marshall Cohen on Twitter on Monday.

One photograph showed white body bags stacked on the floor and what look like large, open, metal and wood-planked bookshelves in a long closet, along with several blue string sacks tossed on them.

New York State Death Toll Surpasses 10,000

By Al Jazeera. The death toll from the new coronavirus in New York state – the US epicentre of the deadly pandemic – has passed 10,000, Governor Andrew Cuomo said.

Cuomo said 671 people had died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities in the state to 10,056.

Despite Initial Agreement, Biden Reveals Details of Phone Call With President Trump

Though President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden said they had agreed to keep the details of their Monday phone call private, Biden appears to have reneged on the agreement. The Democratic nominee has now divulged several details about the exchange in media interviews and a meeting with donors.

Biden said during his first interview after the call that he and Trump agreed they “wouldn’t go into detail” on what was said during the call between the political rivals. Biden in the days since has laid out the specifics of the five suggestions he made to Trump on how the administration could improve its coronavirus response and even began to detail to donors at a fundraiser how Trump responded.

Biden told a local Philadelphia news station on Tuesday that he and Trump “agreed we wouldn’t go into detail” beyond acknowledging they had a phone call to discuss the pandemic. In that same interview, however, Biden disclosed the recommendations he offered the president. “The generic suggestion I made is the federal responsibility, a federal response is necessary,” Biden said. “And that I thought we needed one supply commander, nationally, and identifying where all the product needed was and how to distribute it around the country.”

In a Tuesday night interview on CNN, Biden was pressed to break his silence by anchor Chris Cuomo, who asked Biden, “Why is it a good thing for the American people for you guys to talk but us not really know what happened?” The former vice president responded by detailing exactly what he recommended to the president.

“I laid out the five things I thought he should be doing now and suggested how I thought he should go about doing,” Biden said before laying out his suggestions, which beyond the appointment of a supply commander were to fully implement the Defense Production Act, open up enrollment for Obamacare, ramp up testing, and collect more data on African Americans who have caught the coronavirus. Back to Work in May? President Trump Signals It’s His Call and You’re Going to Need a Mask

Trump Defends Response to Coronavirus, Says He’s Not Firing Fauci

By Reuters. President Donald Trump defended his response to the coronavirus outbreak on Monday and said he did not intend to fire Anthony Fauci after the leading U.S. health expert said earlier mitigation efforts could have saved more lives.

At a contentious briefing with reporters, Trump lashed out at media coverage that has focused on gaps in the U.S. government’s response after initial warnings about the pandemic disease which has now spread throughout the United States.

The president asserted he had the ultimate authority to re-open the largely shuttered economy despite an earlier deference to U.S. state governors and constitutional questions about whether that decision-making fell within his purview. . .

Trump said he and Fauci had been on the same page “from the beginning” and declared he liked the respected doctor. “I think he’s a wonderful guy,” Trump said, while adding that not everyone was happy with the health expert. Muslim Stabs, Murders Three Women in Tennessee at Truck Stop

Idris Abdus-Salaam, 33, a truck driver from Durham, North Carolina, on Tuesday pulled into the Pilot Travel Center on Strawberry Plains Pike in Knoxville, Tennessee, got out of his truck, pulled out a knife, and went on a stabbing spree. He stabbed three women to death and injured a fourth. When confronted by police, Abdus-Salaam refused to drop his weapon and was shot dead. According to Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) spokeswoman Leslie Earhart, authorities are still trying to determine his motive. But will they miss an obvious clue that is right in front of their faces?

The three women Abdus-Salaam killed were all employees of the Pilot Travel Center. The fourth victim, who is in the hospital fighting to recover from the wounds Abdus-Salaam gave her, was a customer. If Abdus-Salaam knew any of them personally, the fact has not been reported. It may emerge that he did, but as of this writing, this looks like a random act of violence.

Predictably, investigators are pursuing the possibility that Abdus-Salaam was mentally ill. In this, they are following the lead of numerous authorities in the U.S. and Europe, who have ascribed incidents in which Muslims behaved violently to mental illness, often ignoring their jihad statements in order to do so. According to news reports, investigators found a notebook in his truck containing writings that suggested he was mentally ill, but none of these writings were released. . .

Dr. Fauci and Economic Adviser Get Into ‘Confrontation’ Over Coronavirus Treatment; State Implements Hydroxychloroquine Clinical Trial

By Washington Examiner. A White House Coronavirus Task Force meeting reportedly devolved into a “confrontation” over the potential use of anti-malarial drugs to treat the coronavirus.

“Drama erupted” between economic adviser Peter Navarro and the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Anthony Fauci during a task force meeting in the Situation Room on Saturday, according to a Sunday report from Axios.

The incident began when Commissioner of Food and Drugs Stephen Hahn started discussing hydroxychloroquine as a possible “game-changer” in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. Navarro then began passing out folders of data on the drug. . .

Fauci, however, pushed back against the claim, saying the evidence of the drug’s effectiveness in treating the coronavirus was just anecdotal and that more data is needed. According to another source, Navarro pointed to the folders and said to Fauci, “That’s science, not anecdote.”

South Dakota Implements Statewide Hydroxychloroquine Clinical Trial for Potential Coronavirus Treatment

By Fox News. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Monday announced a statewide clinical trial of hydroxychloroquine for the possible treatment of COVID-19, making her state the first in the country to institute a program exploring the potential effectiveness of the drug in treating and preventing coronavirus.

“From Day One, I’ve said we’re going to let the science, facts and data drive our decision-making in South Dakota,” Noem said in a statement provided to Fox News.

Noem, a Republican, announced the “comprehensive” clinical trial Monday after communicating with White House officials in the last week to “let them know that South Dakota’s medical community was ready to step up and lead the way on research efforts.”

“I made direct requests to President Trump and Vice President Pence to supply us with enough hydroxychloroquine so that it could be made available for every hospitalized person the state may have, as well as those for health care workers on the frontlines and those in the most vulnerable populations,” Noem said.

Wuhan Is Open and Infections Are Down, but China’s Coronavirus Numbers Can’t Be Trusted

By Yahoo News. China this week officially reopened Wuhan, the city where the coronavirus pandemic was first detected, claiming that new infections were in the single digits. Some have hailed the seeming success of China’s draconian lockdown as a model for other countries.

In recent days, however, everyone from the CIA to Chinese investigative journalists has accused Beijing of reporting inaccurate counts of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths, pointing to patterns in other countries, to frequent unexplained changes in China’s accounting, and even to pallets of urns being delivered to funeral homes in Wuhan.

These concerns are not new, but neither are they an indication of some nefarious plot. Rather, they evince a degree and type of weakness that may surprise some critics abroad, who think the Chinese government effectively controls all aspects of life in the country with an iron fist. In fact, underreporting of bad news is not a simple product of autocratic leaders’ cruel strategy, but an artifact of China’s idiosyncratic authoritarianism that goes back decades, though it has resurfaced acutely over the past 15 years. Registered Nurse Threatens to Deny Trump Supporter Coronavirus Treatment

A self-proclaimed registered nurse took to Twitter to suggest that she would not give someone emergency medical treatment for coronavirus if he was a Trump supporter.

The nurse was responding to a man called George S. Martan who posted a photo of himself wearing a face mask with ‘Trump 2020’ embroidered onto it.

“My wife sewed this face mask today to protect me from the Wuhan Virus and show support for President Trump,” commented the man.

“I’ll see you in ER. Please wear your mask so when we have to decide who gets the vent, it’ll be easier. Thanks,” responded Erika Waters, who describes herself as a registered nurse practitioner in her bio. . .

She immediately faced the wrath of other Twitter users, including one who pointed out, “Medical homicide via negligence is the third leading cause of death in the United States.”

‘An Easter of Solitude’: Amid Coronavirus, World’s Christians Mark an Easter Like No Other

By Associated Press. Christians around the world celebrated Easter Sunday isolated in their homes by the coronavirus while pastors preached the faith’s joyous news of Christ’s resurrection to empty pews. One Florida church drew a large turnout for a drive-in service in a parking lot. . .

Worldwide, families who normally would attend church in their Easter best and later gather for festive meals instead were hunkered down at home. Police checkpoints in Europe and outside closed churches elsewhere left the faithful with few worship options other than watching services online or on TV.

At the Happy Gospel Church in Bradenton, Florida, about 100 cars carrying 250 people gathered in the parking lot to hear Pastor Bill Bailey’s Easter sermon. Some sat in lawn chairs or on tailgates, but families stayed at least 6 feet apart; those in their cars occasionally honked to convey agreement with Bailey’s remarks. ‘An Easter of Solitude’: Christians Across the World Mark Easter Sunday Amid the Coronavirus

By USA Today. His voice echoing through the nearly empty St. Peter’s Basilica, a somber Pope Francis celebrated one of the strangest Easter celebrations in Vatican history Sunday amid Italy’s national lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic. . .

“This is an Easter of solitude lived amid the sorrow and hardship the pandemic is causing, whether from physical suffering or economic difficulties,” Francis said in Italian.

Millions of Christians globally celebrated Easter, marking the resurrection of Jesus following his crucifixion. In the U.S., many churches were holding similar remote services intended to help slow the infection’s spread. Congregants posted photos on social media showing them attending drive-in services from their cars, and a pastor at a Boston church delivered his message to photos of his parishioners taped to the pews. . .

Both President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence planned to attend Easter services remotely. Trump said he’d be watching an online service led by Pastor Robert Jeffress of the 4,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas and a Fox News contributor. Hospitals Say Feds Are Quietly Seizing Medical Supplies Across the Country

Hospital officials are claiming the federal government are quietly seizing medical supply orders amid the coronavirus crisis, an investigation from the Los Angeles Times revealed April 7.

Staff from hospitals in seven states told the LA Times that they haven’t received guidance on why the materials are being taken, where they are going, or when they can expect replacement orders, according to the report.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had not publicly addressed why medical supply orders are being acquired by the federal government, but a representative told the newspaper that “high-transmission areas were prioritized, and allocations were based on population, not on quantities requested.”

The FEMA representative said the agency has developed a system to distribute supplies equitably, echoing the Trump administration’s assertion that the federal government is taking a “data-driven” approach to medical supply dispersal.

President Donald Trump also enacted the Defense Production Act — a law that allows the president to call for ramped up production of certain materials during a national crisis — to boost production of ventilators in the country.
