NYC Appears to Endorse Glory Holes for Casual Sex During Quarantine

New York City’s Health Department released a “safe sex” guide Wednesday instructing people to add “physical barriers” while having sex to prevent “face-to-face contact” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Make it a little kinky. Be creative with sexual positions and physical barriers, like walls, that allow sexual contact while preventing close face to face contact,” states NYC’s Health Department. The guide also discourages “kissing anyone who is not part of your small circle of close contacts” because “kissing can easily pass the virus.”

The city’s health experts also recommend avoiding oral sex suggesting, “Rimming (mouth on anus) might spread the virus. Virus in feces may enter your mouth and could lead to infection.” In addition, individuals are encouraged to wear a mask while making love with their significant other stating, “Maybe it’s your thing, maybe it’s not, but during COVID-19 wearing a face covering that covers your nose and mouth is a good way to add a layer of protection during sex.”

“Heavy breathing and panting can spread the virus further, and if you or your partner have COVID-19 and don’t know it, a mask can help stop that spread,” states the guide. Couples are also advised to “use physical distance and face coverings” while masturbating together in order to “reduce the risk” of spreading COVID-19. NASCAR Removes Rule Mandating Team Members Must Stand During National Anthem

NASCAR has decided to remove a rule that mandated team members must stand during the playing of the national anthem following George Floyd’s death.

NASCAR eliminated the previous rule before last weekend’s race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway therefore allowing for peaceful protests during pre-race ceremonies when the “Star Spangled Banner” is played, per YahooSports.com in a piece published Wednesday. . .

It comes after NASCAR official Kirk Price took a knee at Sunday’s race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway during the national anthem, while he saluted the flag. He served on active duty in the Army for three years.

A short time later, NASCAR announced that the “display of the Confederate flag will be prohibited from all NASCAR events and properties.” (Read more from “NASCAR Removes Rule Mandating Team Members Must Stand During National Anthem” HERE)

Trump Initiative Seized $1B Worth of Drugs at Sea Amid Pandemic

A Trump administration initiative to stop drug smugglers moving narcotics from South and Central America into the United States resulted in more than $1 billion worth of drugs seized in the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf announced Tuesday that Coast Guard and Navy ships deployed 1,500 miles south of the U.S. since April have stopped more than 94,000 pounds of cocaine and 9,200 pounds of marijuana from smugglers attempting to run the loads from South America through Central America and Mexico. Cocaine seizures were up 8% compared to the same time last year.

On April 1, President Trump announced a stepped-up effort by federal agencies to go after drug smugglers moving cocaine, which is largely grown in Colombia, to the U.S. The U.S. works with governments in partner countries to maintain a presence in international waters and to make seizures when intelligence gatherers notify ships of suspicious boaters.

“The fact that all of this was done in the span of two months within the COVID-19 environment is nothing short of remarkable,” Wolf said during a press conference at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Tuesday morning. “As DHS continues to support the federal response to COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve also kept our eye on our traditional adversaries, including the persistent threat posed by transnational criminal organizations.” (Read more from “Trump Initiative Seized $1B Worth of Drugs at Sea Amid Pandemic” HERE)

Federal Reserve Sees Interest Rate Target Near Zero Through 2022

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday announced that it will keep its interest rate target near zero.

Officials projected not raising the rates through at least 2022. In fact, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said on Wednesday that raising rates is not being discussed at his organization.

“We’re not thinking about raising rates. We’re not even thinking about thinking about raising rates,” he said.

The central bank last cut its interest rate target on March 15 to between 0% and 0.25% in an emergency response to the pandemic. Powell has said the target will not change until the nation has been able to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

He also expects an economic recovery to begin in the next quarter and last for a couple of years.

“Generally, the expectation of an economic recovery is beginning in the second half of this year and lasting over the next couple of years, supported by interest rates that remain at their current level, near zero,” he said. As Many as 25,000 U.S. Stores Could Shut Down This Year, Crippling Malls, and Obliterating Last Year’s Record

As many as 25,000 stores could close in the US this year, according to a new report from Coresight Research.

Coresight, which had previously forecasted around 15,000 closings for the year, updated its estimate on Tuesday in light of the “escalating impact of the coronavirus pandemic,” it said.

Of the 20,000 to 25,000 closings it anticipates, around 55% to 60% of these stores will be located in malls, and “apparel retail and department stores look set to feature prominently,” it said.

Retailers across the US have been reeling from the impact of the pandemic, which has kept many stores closed since mid-March. So far, nearly 4,000 stores have closed in 2020 as legacy names such as Victoria’s Secret, Gap, and JCPenney have been forced to trim their store fleets. . .

Its 20,000 to 25,000 estimate would smash last year’s record number of store closings where more than 9,300 locations closed and many retailers filed for bankruptcy. Trump Rails Against Fox News, Compares It to CNN

President Donald Trump railed against Fox News on Wednesday, comparing the network to CNN after it dipped out of the House hearing on police reform following the death of George Floyd.

After Fox News dropped its live stream of the hearing just before testimony from Angela Underwood Jacobs, whose brother Federal Protective Services Officer David Underwood was killed during riots in Oakland, California on May 30th, President Trump attacked the network on Twitter.

“Incredible! @FoxNews just took Congressional Hearing off the air just prior to important witness statements,” Trump tweeted. “More like CNN!!! Fox is lost!!!”

Trump ‘Will Not Even Consider’ Renaming Army Bases

President Trump said Wednesday he “will not even consider” renaming Army bases that were named for Confederate military leaders after top Pentagon officials indicated recently they are open to the idea.

In a series of tweets, Trump argued the bases have become part of U.S. history and should not be “tampered with.”

“These Monumental and very Powerful Bases have become part of a Great American Heritage, and a history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom,” he tweeted, adding that “HEROES” who won two world wars were trained on the “Hallowed Grounds” of the bases. . .

Minutes after Trump posted his comments, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany began Wednesday’s briefing by distributing them to reporters and reading them in their entirety from the podium.

“That was directly from the president. We spent some time working on that, and I wanted to deliver that to you,” she said. (Read more from “Trump ‘Will Not Even Consider’ Renaming Army Bases” HERE)

Pelosi: Republicans Are Afraid of Vote by Mail; Lawsuit Claims Michigan Risks Fraud, as County Has More Registered Voters Than People Who Can Vote

By Breitbart. Wednesday on CNN’s “Newsroom,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused the Republican Party of being “afraid of the vote.” Thus, she argued Republicans were attempting to limit voting by mail.

Host Brooke Baldwin asked, “Do you any concern how things will go in November just from what they experienced in Georgia late last night.”

Pelosi said, “I agree with the distinguished mayor had to say, and she has firsthand experience in the voter suppression that exists, and it takes many forms including not being ready for an election that you know what your responsibilities are. Let me say that in the HEROES Act which we hope will be passed which supports our first responders and our health care workers, our heroes in all of this, our teachers and the rest, against the fight against the coronavirus, and helps state and localities do their job — also having their considerable resources for voting by mail. This is not only a democracy issue of helping people vote at home, therefore, making it easier for them, it is a health issue in the time of the coronavirus. To see what happened in Georgia, where in certain neighborhoods that are more affluent and more white, it took you 20 minutes to vote. But it took hours in other neighborhoods. One could be suspicious that could be by design. So, again, in the bill, we have $3.6 billion—” . . .

She added, “But I will tell you if you saw the Republican playbook on voter suppression, you would see that there is a plan here that says we’re afraid of the vote, we’re going to do everything we can to limit it. Limit it in terms of geography, locations, and in terms of timing as to how late or in advance polls are open and limit it in terms of mechanics of the election when it comes to voting by mail. But you know what, we don’t agonize, we organize. We’re going to be ready for all of this — because that is what we owe our Constitution, and that is what we owe our democracy. That is what we owe our children and all of the American people.” (Read more from “Pelosi: Republicans Are Afraid of Vote by Mail” HERE)

Lawsuit Claims Michigan Risks Fraud, as County Has More Registered Voters Than People Who Can Vote

By Fox News. A voter filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, Bureau of Elections Director Jonathan Brater and other officials, claiming that in at least 16 counties voter rolls have not been properly maintained and that this leaves them vulnerable to fraud in November’s election.

Tony Daunt, a Republican active in his state and county parties, alleges that the Michigan voter registration rates in these counties are “suspiciously high” because their voting records have not been cleaned out to remove ineligible voters, including those who have died, moved, or been convicted of felonies. . .

The lawsuit cited data compiled by the Honest Elections Project, which includes information from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2014-18 American Community Survey and the latest count of registered voters from Benson’s office.

In one county, the number of registered voters actually exceeded the number of people of voting age.

“Comparing the registered voter count to the 2014-18 American Community Survey reveals that Leelanau County has a registration rate of 102%,” the complaint says. In 15 other counties mentioned in the lawsuit, that percentage is above 90 percent. Bizarre and Unconstitutional Circus in Michael Flynn Case Continues: Clinton Judge Says DOJ Dismissal is ‘Gross Abuse’ of Power

The outside amicus curiae appointed by the presiding judge in retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s criminal case argued the Justice Department is engaged in “a gross abuse of prosecutorial power.”

Judge Emmet Sullivan, a Bill Clinton appointee who has been handling the Flynn case since December 2017, appointed retired New York federal judge John Gleeson in May to serve as an amicus curiae to present arguments in opposition to the Justice Department’s motion to drop the false statement charges against the former Trump national security adviser and to have the case tossed.

Gleeson, also a Clinton appointee who retired from the bench in 2016, said Wednesday that Sullivan should not grant the Justice Department’s request for a dismissal, arguing that “the Government’s statement of reasons for seeking dismissal is pretextual” and “the Government’s ostensible grounds for seeking dismissal are conclusively disproven by its own briefs filed earlier in this very proceeding.” He also claimed that the agency’s move to dismiss the case was “riddled with inexplicable and elementary errors of law and fact” and “leave of court should not be granted when the explanations the Government puts forth are not credible as the real reasons for its dismissal of a criminal charge.”

Sidney Powell, a former federal prosecutor who took over as Flynn’s lead defense attorney last summer, previously told the Washington Examiner that Sullivan’s decision to appoint an outsider like this was “bizarre and unconstitutional.” She argued that “this travesty of justice has already consumed three or more years of an innocent man’s life” and that “no further delay should be tolerated.” (Read more from “DOJ Move to Dismiss Michael Flynn Case a ‘Gross Abuse’ of Power, Says Ex-Judge” HERE)

Claim: George Floyd and Ex-Cop ‘Bumped Heads’ as Coworkers at Nightclub

George Floyd did not get along with the now-fired Minneapolis police officer charged with killing him while the two worked at a nightclub, according to a former coworker.

Floyd and Derek Chauvin used to work at El Nuevo Rodeo, and their former colleague, David Pinney, claimed in a Tuesday interview with CBS Evening News that the men “bumped heads.”

“It has a lot to do with Derek being extremely aggressive within the club with some of the patrons, which was an issue,” Pinney said.

He also affirmed that there is no doubt in his mind that the two knew each other, saying Chauvin knew Floyd “pretty well” when pressed.

Maya Santamaria, the owner of the bar, previously came forward and revealed that Floyd, who died after Chauvin pinned a knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes while arresting him, and the former officer “were working together.” (Read more from “Claim: George Floyd and Ex-Cop ‘Bumped Heads’ as Coworkers at Nightclub” HERE)
