Fox News Host Blasts ‘Corrupt’ Media for Downplaying Cannon Hinnant Murder

By Daily Caller. Fox News host Jesse Watters ripped the media as “corrupt” for downplaying or refusing to cover the murder of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant.

Darius Sessoms, 25, was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting Hinnant in front of his two sisters as he was riding his bike in Wilson, North Carolina last week.

During a Saturday night “Watters’ World” monologue, Watters argued that the media’s lack of coverage of cases like this along with overcovering other types of violence is “done to divide us for votes.”

“There was no coverage on ABC, NBC or ‘CBS Evening News’,” Watters said after describing the known details of the case so far. “Or on primetime on CNN and MSNBC. The question is why? ‘What About This Boy?’: Nancy Grace Draws Attention To Cannon Hinnant’s Fatal Shooting

By Daily Caller. Fox Nation host Nancy Grace lamented what she saw to be the lack of media coverage of the murder of 5-year-old Cannon Hinnant during a Friday night segment of Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Darius Sessoms, a 25-year-old Wilson, North Carolina man, was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting Hinnant in front of his two sisters as he was riding his bike. Sessoms and Hinnant’s father were neighbors and reportedly had dinner together the day before.

Alluding to the race of the victim and alleged perpetrator, Fox News host Tucker Carlson asked,”[W]hy haven’t the media covered this story? What about it don’t they like?” . . .

“When you put the picture up just then of Cannon, he was five years old,” Grace said, “He was set to start kindergarten this week. I think back on my children, they went to kindergarten and what a big day it was and now he’s gone forever. And you’re right, this case has not been covered and I wonder why too.”

“I don’t think you should draw broad societal conclusions from a single horrific crime,” Carlson said. “The media specializes obviously in that and some of those conclusions are misleading if not lies. Woman Has ‘COVID-19 Complications’ Listed on Death Certificate — but Family Says She Never Tested Positive

The family of a deceased South Carolina grandmother is demanding answers after they say officials listed “COVID-19 complications” on the death certificate — despite the grandmother never testing positive for the virus.

Kimberly Klosterman told WIS-TV that her 79-year-old grandmother Joan Hill died on July 31 after suffering from dementia for years. Hill had moved into the home of her daughter, Klosterman’s mom, in January, and was receiving in-home hospice care, according to WIS.

Upon receiving Hill’s death certificate, her family was shocked — it listed both Alzheimer’s disease and COVID-19 complications as the cause of death.

But that is not correct, the family told WIS. That’s because Hill never tested positive for coronavirus, nor did she ever exhibit symptoms of the virus.

“That was wrong. She had never been tested before or after death, so I wasn’t sure how that could even be listed on her death certificate,” Klosterman explained. “She was breathing fine; that was the last thing to go for her. Maxine Waters: Congress Can Remove Trump Without Impeachment

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Maxine Waters (D-CA) on Saturday made the case that President Donald Trump should be ousted from the White House. According to Waters, the 25th Amendment would allow Congress to make the move.

“The President of the United States of America is unbelievably divisive. The president lies. He’s pitting people against each other, going back to the old birther argument that they attempted to use against Obama. This is a president that is the most deplorable human being that I have ever encountered in my life. And he’s undermining our democracy,” Waters said during an MSNBC interview on Saturday. “We cannot take any more of this president. This president is not only attacking the person that was just appointed or selected by Biden to be his vice president, and he is not hesitant to do it. This man has no shame. The name-calling, he called her nasty, on and on and on. I don’t know how much more the American people can take.”

The California congresswoman cited President Trump’s take on the United States Postal Service and how he’s “undermining our democracy” to say Section 4 of the 25th Amendment would mean Congress could oust him from the White House.

“As a matter of fact, when you couple that with what he’s doing, undermining our democracy, tearing up our post office, I believe that it is time for Section 4 of Amendment 25 to be put in place and his cabinet should send to Nancy Pelosi, the speaker, as identified in the Constitution, that this man should be removed from office. Section 25 should be put in place,” she explained. He is dangerous. He is tearing up, again, this country, undermining our democracy. And I want to tell you something, I’m getting more complaints about what he’s doing to the post office than I have on any other issue in my district. He cannot have our post office. New Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve With Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead has evaporated in the past two months, a new poll from CNN shows.

Biden leads President Donald Trump by just four points nationally — 50 percent to 46 percent — and by even less across 15 battleground states that will determine who wins the electoral college. In those 15 states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin — the new CNN poll has Biden leading by just one percent, with Biden at 49 and Trump at 48.

The top line national number of a four-point race represents a double-digit shift in Trump’s direction from CNN’s last national poll in early June. That survey, two months ago, had Biden up 14 points — meaning this latest survey represents a ten-point swing Trump’s way as the summer has progressed heading into the conventions.

The Democrats begin their virtual convention, during which Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) will be formally nominated as the presidential and vice presidential candidates, this week. The Republicans hold their convention the following week. . .

“The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it’s a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide),” Agiesta wrote. “Trump has also solidified his partisans since June. While 8% of Republicans or Republican-leaning independents in June said they would back Biden, that figure now stands at just 4%. Female Child Molester Charged With Human Smuggling During Traffic Stop

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a female child molester after she allegedly attempted to smuggle two migrants into the California interior.

El Centro Border Patrol Station agents patrolling Interstate 8 near the California border with Mexico stopped a woman they suspected to be smuggling illegal aliens from Mexico. The agents stopped the driver and conducted an immigration interview on the two passengers, according to information obtained from El Centro Sector Border Patrol officials.

The agents identified the passengers as Mexican nationals illegally present in the United States, officials stated. The agents arrested the driver, a U.S. citizen, and the two Mexican nationals and transported them to the El Centro Station for processing.

During a records check, the agents discovered that a California court in San Bernadino convicted the female driver in 2017 for “Annoying and Molesting Children,” officials reported. GOP Rep. Recovers From COVID, Credits Hydroxychloroquine

Rep. Louie Gohmert has recovered from the coronavirus and plans to donate plasma in the coming days, he told the Washington Examiner. . .

Gohmert tested positive for the coronavirus on July 29 after taking a test at the White House ahead of a planned trip with President Trump.

Gohmert drove to Texas to self-quarantine and suffered several days of mild symptoms, including fatigue, but is now free of the virus, he said. . .

Gohmert, who turns 67 next week, told the Washington Examiner he believes his recovery was aided by the use of vitamin supplements and hydroxychloroquine, the drug touted by Trump and some medical doctors that is not endorsed by the Food and Drug Administration for use in treating the coronavirus.

“I had a couple of bad days, but I started taking hydroxychloroquine, [Zithromax], and zinc, along with vitamins D3 and C,” he said. “And I took a steroid nebulizer for a few days to help coat the alveoli in the lungs and protect them somewhat from the COVID virus attack.” (Read more from “GOP Rep. 18 People Shot in Less Than Two Hours During Bloody Night in Ohio

At least 18 people were shot, including four killed, as gunfire erupted in several places around the city overnight, authorities said Sunday.

Officers responded just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday to the Avondale neighborhood and found 21-year-old Antonio Blair with gunshot wounds, police said in a statement. He was taken to University Hospital and died there, they said. Three other gunshot victims were also taken to the hospital. . .

Trump Campaign Makes The Internet Better With Trolling Messages And Ads (VIDEO)

President Trump has never shied away from low blows and comical jabs while running a campaign. The last election cycle was filled with memorable name-calling like “Little Marco,” “Lyin’ Ted,” and “Crooked Hillary.”

This election cycle, Trump tested out several monikers for Biden, including ‘China Joe” and “Sleepy Creepy Joe” until he finally landed on “Sleepy Joe.” The Trump 404 page on his campaign website is a hilarious photo of Biden looking confused with a caption that reads, “It appears you are as lost as me.” . . .

A new animated Trump campaign ad also turns liberals’ derisive term “the Trump train” for Trump supporters into a positive. In the ad, a big, strong, sleek red train emblazoned with “Trump/Pence” and “KAG (Keep America Great) 2020” speeds across a city landscape to the beat of Eddy Grant’s “Electric Avenue”.

Then the ad shows the “Biden train,” a handcar with Biden pumping it along. This old-timer machine reflects back to when Biden during a primary debate mused about people gathering around the “radio” and the “record player.”

Beneath the beat of “Electric Avenue” are soundbites of Biden’s oddest moments, such as when he rambled about how “kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again,” and “I love kids jumping on my lap.”

Kamala Harris Responds to VP Eligibility Concerns

Sen. Kamala Harris hit back at a conspiracy theory about her eligibility for the vice presidency in an interview on Sunday, slamming the Trump campaign for engaging in “dirty tactics.”

Harris, during an interview with The Grio, was asked about the theory which questioned whether she is ineligible because her parents were born outside the United States. . .

When asked Sunday for reaction, Harris said: “Look, I’m very clear-eyed about the fact that they are going to engage, as you said, in what they have done throughout this administration, which is just, let’s just be very candid and straightforward, they’re going to engage in lies, they’re going to engage in deception, they’re going to engage in an attempt to distract from the real issues that are impacting the American people.”

“I expect they will engage in dirty tactics and this is going to be a knockdown drag out,” Harris said. “And we’re ready. And we’re ready.”

“There is so much at stake in this election and I’m prepared to fight, because this is a fight that is for something, not against something,” she said. “This is a fight for where we need to be.
