Elon Musk’s Satellites Help Zelensky Dominate the Skies

Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite system is giving Ukrainian forces the edge in winning the drone war as the nation fights back with technology to track down invading Russians.

Aerorozvidka (Aerial Reconnaissance) is being used to attack Russian drones and target Vladmir Putin’s army of tanks and track down their positions in the conflict, which has been ongoing since February 24, according to The Telegraph.

Drones used in the field are able to use the newly available Starlink to keep connected and provide intelligence as internet and power outages plague Ukraine. . .

The so-far-successful implementation of the satellites into the defense of the war-torn nation makes good on a promise outspoken mogul Musk – who challenged Putin to a fist fight for the future of Ukraine earlier this week – made to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier in the month, that SpaceX will send more Starlink satellite stations to provide internet to some of the country’s stricken cities.

Dodging the Questions: White House Ignores Its Hunter Biden Problem

Psaki’s excuse was that Hunter Biden “doesn’t work in the government.” . . .

“My question about the conflict of interest when it comes to China is, last year the first son’s attorney said that he divested from a Chinese investment fund controlled by Chinese state-owned entities . . . Did he actually divest and can you —”

NCAA Swimmer Wants Rule Change After Missing Out on Finals to Transgender Athlete

A Virginia Tech swimmer blasted the NCAA over its rule allowing transgender women to compete against biological women after she came up short in a championship qualifying race that was dominated by University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.

Reka Gyorgy leveled the criticism in a post to her private Instagram account after missing the cut on Thursday to compete in the finals of the 500 free at the NCAA Championships, Fox News reported.

“It doesn’t promote our sport in a good way and I think it is disrespectful against the biologically female swimmers who are competing in the NCAA,” Gyorgy said of the rule that has received considerable scrutiny since Thomas has smashed records in [his] first season competing at the collegiate level as a transgender woman.

Gyorgy also placed blame on Thomas for her failure to qualify. The Virginia Tech swimmer said she felt the last spot to get into the final was taken from her “because of the NCAA’s decision to let someone who is not a biological female compete.”

Kanye West Pulled From Grammy’s Due to ‘Concerning Online Behavior’

Kanye West has been barred from performing at the Grammy Awards on April 3 due to his “concerning online behavior,” his rep told The Blast.

Even though the 44-year-old rapper has been nominated for five Grammys including best rap song for “Jail” and Album of the Year for “Donda,” his team received a phone call Friday saying he won’t be able to perform, The Blast reported.

The decision was partly made after West was suspended from Instagram for using a racial slur against Trevor Noah, the host of the Grammys, after the TV presenter commented on the rapper’s public interactions with Kim Kardashian, West’s ex-wife, according to The Blast. Clarence Thomas Hospitalized: ’Flu-Like Symptoms’

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been hospitalized with an infection after reportedly experiencing flu-like symptoms.

According to a statement from the Supreme Court, the 73-year-old conservative justice was admitted to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC, on Friday evening.

Is China About to Send Military Aid to Putin?; Xi Jinping Calls for Cooperation, Biden Warns of Consequences in Two-Hour Call

By Townhall. . .[A]ccording to European Union officials, China is looking to deepen its ties to Russia and further link the two nations against the United States and other NATO countries:

“EU leaders are in possession of ‘very reliable evidence’ that China is considering military assistance to Russia, a senior EU official told POLITICO, threatening potential trade measures if weapons’ deliveries go ahead.” . . .

This news of China’s apparent intention to provide military assistance to Russia, much in the same way the United States has been providing — and just approved an additional $800 million — in aid to Ukraine came at the same time President Biden was conducting a nearly two-hour meeting with President Xi Jinping.

Prior to the bilateral call between Biden and Jinping, Secretary of State Blinken admitted on Thursday that the Biden administration was “concerned that [China is] considering directly assisting Russia with military equipment to use in Ukraine.” As the EU officials claim, China is indeed taking Putin’s request seriously. Xi Jinping Calls for Cooperation, Biden Warns of Consequences in Two-Hour Call

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Joe Biden spoke on Friday for about two hours in a virtual meeting called to address the conflict in Ukraine, with Xi appealing for negotiations to bring the crisis to a halt and Biden stressing that consequences await Beijing for any support it provides to Moscow.

“The Ukraine crisis is something we don’t want to see,” Xi said, according to a government readout. “Events once again show that state-to-state relations cannot go to the stage of confrontation, conflict and confrontation are not in the interests of anyone.”

“As permanent members of the UN Security Council and the world’s two largest economies, we must not only lead the development of China-US relations on the right track, but also shoulder our due international responsibilities and make efforts for world peace and tranquillity,” the readout said.

Calling the exchange “constructive”, Beijing said the two sides agreed “to follow up in a timely manner, take practical actions, strive for the return of China-US relations to the track of stable development, and make their own efforts to properly resolve the Ukraine crisis”.

The U.S. Is Mindlessly Marching Toward War With Russia

The day after Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky addressed Congress, the American press was understandably filled with paeans to his courage and leadership, his clarity of purpose and firm resolve in the face of mortal danger. As Bari Weiss noted in a thoughtful response to the speech, Zelensky knows what he’s fighting for, and he stands as an inspiring counterexample of things we hope for in our own political leaders, but do not have.

But there is something else behind this celebration of Zelensky. His speech, after all, was a rather straightforward request for the United States and our North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies to intervene on behalf of Ukraine. “In the darkest time for our country, for the whole of Europe, I call on you to do more,” he said, invoking Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and Martin Luther King, Jr. . .

Instead, we’re seeing just the opposite: the emergence of a bipartisan, establishment consensus in Washington that the United States and NATO must ratchet up military aid to Ukraine, right now, without even trying to articulate an overarching strategy, what the off-ramps might be, or what an end-state to the conflict might look like. . .

Democratic House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., went a bit further on Thursday. During a rules committee hearing he blurted out, “We’re at war,” while talking about the need for a unified U.S. response to the conflict. Then, perhaps realizing his slip, quickly clarified that we’re not physically on the battlefield with the Ukrainians, “But we ought to do everything we possibly can to make sure they can meet this enemy and defeat this enemy.”

These lawmakers take the view that we can dance along a line of belligerence without actually becoming belligerents in the war, as if we alone get to decide where that line is and when we have or have not crossed it. They, along with their cheerleaders in the corporate press, offer no substantive arguments about why we won’t get drawn into the war. They simply declare that we have to do more, that we can’t be afraid of Moscow, without even attempting to persuade a skeptical American public that the risk inherent to doing more — getting into a shooting war with Russia — is worth it. Army Announces First Separations Over Coronavirus Vaccine Refusals

The U.S. Army announced its first separations of soldiers for refusing the coronavirus vaccine on Friday.

In addition to the three soldiers who have been separated, the Army has relieved six Regular Army leaders, two of whom were battalion commanders, and it has issued 3,251 reprimands for refusing it.

Each of the other military branches began separations for vaccine refusal weeks ago. To date, the Navy has discharged 544 sailors, the Air Force 212, and the Marines 1,038. Each of the services has a vaccination percentage rate in the mid-90s, leaving thousands unvaccinated and facing possible separation, though they represent a small percentage of the whole military.

Service members who don’t want to take the vaccine have the ability to seek a religious, medical, or administrative exemption. There have been thousands of medical and administrative requests that each branch has approved. The Marines have approved 992 such requests, the Navy 250, and the Air Force 571, while the Army has granted 4,397 temporary exemptions. Liberal News Host Accuses Republicans of Pushing Biden ‘to Do Things That Would Trigger World War III’

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough accused Republicans on Friday of pushing President Joe Biden to make a decision that could “trigger World War III.”

“There are some Republican senators out there that are trying to turn this into a political hit job against Joe Biden and are pushing him to do things that would trigger World War III,” Scarborough said. “It’s so reckless. They’re pushing him, not only to do things that could trigger World War III, that they would never do if they were sitting in the White House. They’re also pushing him to do things that would get the United States so far ahead of our allies that there would be a split between the United States and NATO.”

He argued that Biden has “paced this very well,” saying his patience led to “generational changes” including Germany building a stronger military and having Sweden and Finland consider joining NATO.

“I know this is going to be shocking to you, because it doesn’t fit into your stupid little populist playbook, Joe Biden’s experience,” he continued. “He’s been there, he’s done that. Democrats Are Trying to Hide a Very Dirty Secret About Electric Cars

. . .Electric cars aren’t as efficient as gas-powered vehicles, but you pay more because…of feelings. Screw that. Green energy is a backdoor to communism from greenies who talk more about controlling the means of production than saving Mother Earth. Clean energy is a grift and political crony project aimed at giving fat cat donors tax breaks. Solyndra forever ruined this industry. I don’t care what anyone says, it’s all a long miserable exercise in subsidizing sub-par products.

Coal is what powers your electric car. Do liberals even know that? The very people who mock states like West Virginia don’t seem to know that these areas allow them to drive their precious, overpriced electric cars (via The Federalist):

To advance their climate agenda and deflect backlash about rising gas prices, Democrats are telling Americans that driving electric cars is for the greater good of the environment, fully knowing the charging stations for these cars are not fossil fuel free.

In reality, one of Tesla’s Supercharger stations was reported to get 13 percent of their energy from natural gas and 27 percent from coal. Power plants burn coal to generate electricity to power electric cars and emit a higher fossil fuel footprint than the left would care to admit.

While these vehicles may be falsely advertised, many who invest in these overpriced cars are able to avoid paying the currently outrageous gas prices. Still, Americans’ growing reliance on electric cars and the batteries they require will increase our dependence on countries such as China for materials.
