WHAT IN THE WORLD? The U.S. Is Sending the 20th Hijacker From 9/11 Back to Saudi for Mental Health Treatment

Editor’s Note: If this were really the “20th hijacker” who helped with the destruction of the Twin Towers (and WTC 7) as we’ve been led to believe, (1) why would he be effectively released after contributing to the murders of 3,000+ Americans? And, (2) why would he be sent back to the very nation that sponsored virtually all of the 9-11 hijackers? Food for thought for thinking patriots.

‘20th Hijacker’ of 9/11 Transferred From Guantanamo to Psychiatric Facility in Saudi Arabia

By The Independent UK. A Guantanamo Bay detainee held for 20 years for allegedly trying to take part in the 9/11 hijacking plot has been sent home to Saudi Arabia.

The Pentagon says that Mohammad Mani Ahmad al-Qahtani, 46, will receive treatment at a psychiatric facility when he arrives back in the country.

He had been held at the US base in Cuba since 2002, with US officials determining last year that keeping him detained was “no longer necessary to protect against a continuing significant threat to the national security of the United States.” (Read more from “‘20th Hijacker’ of 9/11 Transferred From Guantanamo to Psychiatric Facility in Saudi Arabia” HERE)

Pentagon Says Guantanamo Detainee Accused of Being Linked to 9/11 Transferred to Saudi Arabia

By CBS News. The Defense Department announced Monday that Mohammad Mani Ahmad al-Qahtani, who has been accused of being the “20th hijacker” in the September 11, 2001 terrorism plot, has been sent home to Saudi Arabia from the military prison at Guantanamo Bay.

A review board determined in June 2021 that al-Qahtani did not present a current threat to national security, and recommended repatriation to Saudi Arabia. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin notified Saudi Arabia in February of the decision.

“The United States appreciates the willingness of Saudi Arabia and other partners to support ongoing U.S. efforts toward a deliberate and thorough process focused on responsibly reducing the detainee population and ultimately closing of the Guantanamo Bay facility,” the Defense Department said in a statement.

Shayana Kadidal, senior managing attorney of the Guantanamo project at the Center for Constitutional Rights, said al-Qahtani has suffered schizophrenia since a young age, and that in 2002, an FBI official saw al-Qahtani speaking to non-existent people, hearing voices and crouching in a corner of his cell while covering himself with a sheet for hours. Kadidal said al-Qahtani has repeatedly tried to kill himself.

In a statement from February, the Center for Constitutional Rights said that an independent psychiatric expert examined al-Qahtani at Guantanamo and confirmed the diagnosis of schizophrenia in 2016, and the military’s own doctors unanimously agreed with that conclusion. How Much Oil Does US Import From Russia? Here’s What Biden’s Ban Actually Means; West Hits Russia With Oil Bans

By New York Post. The US has banned imports of Russian oil and natural gas in retaliation for the Kremlin’s invasion of Ukraine – a move that will further complicate the Biden administration’s effort to tamp down energy costs for American households.

President Biden announced the ban following days of bipartisan pressure to take action against Russia’s energy sector, which went largely untouched in previous rounds of sanctions. Europe remains heavily reliant on Russian oil, even as it attempts to isolate the Kremlin in response to the invasion.

Biden and other proponents say the ban is necessary to limit Russia’s sources of income – though the president acknowledged US motorists will be paying even more at the pump. . .

While far less reliant on Russian oil and gas than its European counterparts, the US did import some supply prior to the ban. The US imported about 672,000 barrels per day of crude oil and petroleum products from Russia in 2021, according to data from the Energy Information Agency. That total accounted for roughly 8% of all US imports.

Most of the oil and related products the US imports come from Canada, which supplies more than 51%. Mexico and Saudi Arabia are also key suppliers. (Read more from “How Much Oil Does US Import From Russia? Here’s What Biden’s Ban Actually Means” HERE)

War in Ukraine: West Hits Russia With Oil Bans and Gas Curbs

By BBC. The US and UK are banning Russian oil and the EU is ending its reliance on Russian gas, stepping up the economic response to the invasion of Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden said the move targeted “the main artery of Russia’s economy”.

Energy exports are a vital source of revenue for Russia but the move is also likely to impact Western consumers.

Major brands have meanwhile continued to pull out of Russia, with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola the latest to leave.

Russia’s economy is heavily dependent on energy. It is the world’s third-biggest oil producer, behind Saudi Arabia and the US. (Read more from “War in Ukraine: West Hits Russia With Oil Bans and Gas Curbs” HERE)

Biden Sells Alaska Back to Russia So We Can Start Drilling for Oil There Again

Editor’s note: Satire.

The deliberate and premeditated invasion of Ukraine by brutal dictator Vladimir Putin has forced the US to reassess the importance of energy independence. With this new resolve, the Biden Administration has taken its first step toward increasing oil production for Americans by selling Alaska back to Russia so we can start drilling for oil there again.

“Folks, nobody wants to ruin America’s beautiful Alaskan wilderness with oil trucks and drilling rigs, come on!” said President Biden in response to questions he thought were coming from a house plant in the West Wing. “But I’ve never had a problem getting oil from Russia, so there you go, go get him.” (Read more from “Biden Sells Alaska Back to Russia So We Can Start Drilling for Oil There Again” HERE)

Putin Plots His Next Move After Russian Oil Ban

Russian President Vladimir Putin will ban certain commodity and raw material exports, according to a decree from Moscow on Tuesday, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The Russian cabinet will determine what specific commodities will be included in the ban, with Putin giving it two days to formulate a list, the WSJ reported. The ban will be in effect until Dec. 31, according to the decree.

The goal of the ban is to ensure “the security of the Russian Federation and the uninterrupted functioning of industry,” according to the decree, the WSJ reported. The Biden administration announced earlier on Tuesday it would ban U.S. imports of Russian energy in response to Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine. Biden Says He ‘Can’t Do Much’ About Rising Gas Prices Hours After Saying He’ll Do ‘Everything’ in His Power to Minimize It

President Joe Biden said Tuesday he “can’t do much right now” about rising gas prices and put the blame squarely on Russia.

The president announced a ban on U.S. imports of Russian energy earlier Tuesday amid Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine. Speaking at the White House, Biden warned that the move “is not without cost here at home” but promised to do “everything” he “can to minimize” what’s now being described by the administration as “Putin’s price hike.”

Hours later, upon landing in Texas, the president was pressed on what message he had for Americans regarding the rise in gas prices and what he can do about it.

“They’re going to go up,” Biden said. “Can’t do much right now … Russia is responsible.” (Read more from “Biden Says He ‘Can’t Do Much’ About Rising Gas Prices Hours After Saying He’ll Do ‘Everything’ in His Power to Minimize It” HERE)

Republicans Are Successfully Blocking Biden Nominees, and His SCOTUS Pick Could Be Next

The Senate currently finds itself in the unusual situation of a tie – evenly split between 50 Democrats and 50 Republicans. As a procedural matter, a Senate tie requires some interesting maneuvering. A power-sharing agreement must be passed to hammer out how the majority-minority dynamics will play out. Also, in theory, the vice president must be on notice to break any tie votes that occur – something that would be happening a lot more if so many Republicans weren’t happily voting for so many of Joe Biden’s nominees. . .

This is how the Senate Judiciary Committee could block Biden’s nominee to the Supreme Court from reaching the Senate floor. But it also applies in every other committee. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Small Business Committee Republicans have been using this strategy for months to hold up the confirmation of deputy administrator of the Small Business Administration over illegally disbursed Covid relief funds to Planned Parenthood. . .

Senate Republicans are primarily interested in Raskin’s lack of clarity in answers to committee questions related to revolving door issues, particularly how she used her influence following her tenure at the Federal Reserve and the Department of Treasury during the Obama years.

After leaving Treasury in 2017, Raskin joined the board of directors of the Reserve Trust Company, a financial technology (fintech) firm which provides payment processing and other services for business-to-business payment companies. While there, Raskin appeared to use her connections at the Fed to help secure Reserve Trust a Federal Reserve master account, making them the only nonbank fintech company to have access to the Fed payment system. Russian Ship That Fired on ‘F–k Yourself’ Ukrainians Destroyed: Report

A Russian warship that fired on a group of Ukrainian border guards after being told to “go f–k yourself” was destroyed in battle, according to a report Tuesday.

“We f–king hit them,” a man is heard saying on a recording of the conflict, the Times of London said.

Another man reportedly echoed the famous words of the Ukrainian soldier who defiantly resisted a Russian order to surrender a military outpost on Snake Island in the Black Sea during Day One of the invasion. . .

The Vasily Bykov was then hit during an exchange of rockets early Monday, possibly by a missile fired by land-based Ukrainian forces defending the port city of Odessa, which for days has been bracing for a Russian attack, the Times said.

“Ship was destroyed, it is confirmed,” a Ukrainian military source told the British paper. (Read more from “Russian Ship That Fired on ‘F–k Yourself’ Ukrainians Destroyed: Report” HERE)

Kremlin Insiders Call War in Ukraine a ‘Clusterf–k’ as Top Officers Die: Report

Another Russian general has died, and other senior army officers have either been killed or wounded in fighting in Ukraine this week — only adding to what Kremlin officials are reportedly calling a complete “clusterf–k.’’

Russian Maj. Gen. Vitaly Gerasimov and some senior officers were struck down in fighting in Kharkiv on Monday, days after Gen. Andrei Sukhovetsky was killed by a sniper, Ukrainian officials said.

The blows to the Russian army’s top echelon occurred even before Russian government officials were already calling Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine “a clusterf–k,” a report said.

A week ago, Russian journalist Farida Rustamova wrote on Substack that a high-level source told her Kremlin insiders believed the war on Ukraine has been a complete disaster. (Read more from “Kremlin Insiders Call War in Ukraine a ‘Clusterf–k’ as Top Officers Die: Report” HERE)

Dems Furious Over Bill Banning Sexual Orientation Discussions for 5 Year Olds

Democrats and members of the establishment media are falsely claiming that the parental rights bill, passed by the Florida Senate on Tuesday, is “homophobic” and “reprehensible” in nature, despite the fact that it simply states that classroom discussions on sexual orientation or gender identity are prohibited for children kindergarten through third grade.

The Florida Senate passed the Parental Rights in Education bill on Tuesday, triggering further outcry from Democrat and far-left activists, who had falsely labeled the measure the “Don’t Say Gay bill. In actuality, the bill simply prohibits classroom discussions on any sexual orientation or identity for children in kindergarten through third grade. It does not single out any specific word, including the word “gay,” despite the left’s false framing.

“Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards,” the bill’s text reads in part:

Despite that, Democrats are expressing outrage over the measure, which is now sits on Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) desk. Meanwhile, establishment media outlets are continuing to peddle the “Don’t Say Gay” myth in their framing of the news.

The Democrats, specifically, called the bill — banning classroom discussions on sexual orientation from 5-year-olds — a “reprehensible assault on children’s safety, mental health, protection, and freedom”:

Chuck Schumer Claims Ukrainian War a ‘Holocaust’

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Tuesday claimed the Ukrainian war is a “holocaust,” which necessitates at least $12 billion of American taxpayer relief money to remedy.

“I’m really pleased we are including a robust aid package that will help the people of Ukraine. There is a large chunk of it [that] is humanitarian relief,” Schumer told reporters about the massive omnibus package establishment Republicans and Democrats are attempting to pass in short order.

“The Ukrainians lack food they lack clothing,” Schumer continued. “They lack shelter, electricity, medicines. We must get them these things.”

“There is a holocaust going on,” Schumer claimed. (Read more from “Chuck Schumer Claims Ukrainian War a ‘Holocaust’” HERE)
