Trans “Woman” Impregnated 2 Inmates in Women’s Prison Moved to Male Facility

An incarcerated transgender [“woman”] has been accused of impregnating two fellow inmates at a New Jersey women’s prison. The incident prompted officials to move Demi Minor, 27, from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility last month. The latter is a prison for young adults in Burlington County.

Dan Sperrazza, a Department of Corrections spokesman, told NJ.com that the DOC moved Minor to the vulnerable unit at the facility where [he] is the only [“woman”] prisoner at present. Minor’s move comes months after it was revealed [he] had impregnated two fellow inmates after engaging in “consensual sexual relationships with another incarcerated person.”

New Jersey enacted a policy in 2021 that allows prisoners to be housed according to their preferred gender identity. The policy was part of a settlement from a civil rights suit that a woman forced to live in men’s prisons for 18 months had brought. Federal Judge Delivers Blow to Biden Administration’s Gender-Identity Directives

The Biden administration has leaned heavily on the Supreme Court’s Bostock decision to defend its gender identity directives on sports, pronouns and restrooms, but a federal judge is having none of it.

U.S. District Court Judge Charles Atchley, a Trump appointee in the Eastern District of Tennessee, temporarily blocked anti-discrimination guidances issued last year by the Education Department and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and sided with a coalition of 20 Republican attorneys general.

Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt was among the Republicans who hailed the judge’s order in the lawsuit, which was filed in August.

“We sued the Biden administration to stop it from punishing states that keep men out of women’s sports,” Mr. Schmidt said in a Sunday tweet. “Late Friday, the judge agreed and granted us a temporary injunction.”

The attorneys general argued that the Biden administration exceeded its authority with its sweeping directives on employment, scholastic sports and public accommodations, which the Biden administration defended by citing the Supreme Court’s 2020 ruling in Bostock v. Top Iranian Official: We’re Capable of Making a Nuclear Bomb

Iran is technically capable of making a nuclear bomb, a senior aide to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei told Al Jazeera Arabic on Sunday, adding that the country would target “deep into” Israel if need be.

“Iran has the technical means to produce a nuclear bomb but there has been no decision by Iran to build it,” Kamal Kharrazi said, according to a translation by Reuters.

The U.S. and UN nuclear watchdog, meanwhile, have always maintained that Iran may not be equipped with the knowledge to actually manufacture a bomb.

“In a few days we were able to enrich uranium up to 60% and we can easily produce 90% enriched uranium,” Kharrazi, who is the head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign relations, said.

These Are the Potential Democratic 2024 Presidential Hopefuls

Sen. Bernie Sanders appeared for the first time on a Washington Post ranking of potential Democratic presidential hopefuls — that also showed Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg pulling ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris in the No. 2 slot behind President Biden.

Progressive lightning rod Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez remained at No. 10 in the newspaper’s survey of possible contenders in the 2024 election, as California Gov. Gavin Newsom jumped two spots to No. 7 right behind Sanders, and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer debuted on the list at No. 8.

Biden wasn’t included in the rankings compiled in December 2021 because of speculation at the time that he would be a one-term president and because polls showed that Democratic-leaning voters narrowly preferred “someone not named Biden on the ballot in 2024.”

But the Washington Post began including Biden’s name to the list in its April rankings and in the most recent survey.​

“​The reason: There might come a time when the incumbent president isn’t the most likely nominee the next time around, for whatever reason. Humans may be just a few decades away from landing on Mars and creating a self-sustainable civilization, according to predictions from SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.

The billionaire, who often tweets about space travel and hints at establishing human civilization on other planets, made the projection after a Twitter user asked Musk what the “estimated timeframe for creating a self-sustaining civilization on Mars” would be.

W.H.O. To Declare Monkeypox Emergency?

Soaring monkeypox case numbers have been cited by the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) as the reason it will reconvene its expert committee to decide whether the outbreak constitutes a global health emergency.

The move comes on the back of an official in New York City reporting a spike in monkeypox cases where incidents more than doubled in the past week. The official states the outbreak in the nation’s largest city accounts for 30 percent of all U.S. cases, as Breitbart News reported.

The U.N. subsidiary health agency is now aware of 9,200 cases in 63 countries at the last update issued Tuesday.

AFP reports monkeypox infections have been slowly building since early May outside the West and Central African countries where the disease has long been endemic.

The president grew emotional as he began recounting his time in hospitals, recalling when his first wife was killed in a car crash, when he underwent two surgeries for brain aneurysms, and also suffered an embolism.

As he told the story, the president grew hoarse began coughing, and reached for his water. . .

Biden Announces $100 Million for Palestinian Hospitals in East Jerusalem

US President Joe Biden says during a visit to Augusta Victoria Hospital in East Jerusalem that Palestinians and Israelis “deserve equal measures of freedom, security, prosperity and dignity, and access to health care when you need it is essential to living a life of dignity for all of us.”

In the president’s speech, he praises nurses and other healthcare workers for providing care and hope to the sick, and announces a commitment of $100 million by the US to Palestinian hospitals in East Jerusalem.

“The US will continue to work with the Palestinian leadership and the government of Israel and all our international partners to ensure that East Jerusalem’s hospital network remains sustainable and available, and is able to provide high-quality care the Palestinian people deserve,” says Biden. US Judge Moves to Protect Vaccine Religious Exemptions in Air Force

An Ohio court issued a restraining order stopping the Air Force from issuing a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for airmen with religious exemptions.

The restraining order by Judge Matthew W. McFarland of the District Court for the Southern District of Ohio will stand for 14 days while the judge weighs a preliminary injunction that would last through the entire judicial process.

“Plaintiffs and the putative class members have all allegedly suffered the same injury: violation of their constitutional rights,” the ruling reads. “A putative class would consist only of Airmen who have submitted religious accommodation requests, had an Air Force Chaplain define their religious beliefs as sincerely held, and yet their religious accommodation requests have been denied or delayed. European Leader Confirms World War III Has Already Begun; Putin Stages Terrifying Nuclear Drills With Ballistic Missiles ‘Capable of Striking Britain’

By International Business Times. Russian President Vladimir Putin is in a “world war” with the West as he continues his invasion of Ukraine, an ally said Wednesday.

In an interview with independent Serbian TV Channel Pink, Serbia President Aleksandar Vucic, who has yet to condemn Putin for invading Ukraine, accused the West of sparking a “war” against Russia through the Ukrainian people.

“We should understand that amid the world war, all the talks that it’s a regional or a local war must be dropped. The entire Western world is fighting against Russia via Ukrainians. It is [a] global conflict,” Vucic said, according to Russia’s state-run news agency TASS. . .

While he has not mentioned the possibility of World War III, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently also warned against Russia possibly invading Asian and European countries, including Moldova and Poland, following the war in Ukraine.

Mad Vlad’s men fired the road-launched intercontinental nuclear Yars missiles in a forest in western Siberia in another chilling warning to the West.

With a range of 7,500 miles, the missiles could strike Britain or anywhere in Europe with little notice.

The tests come amid heightened tension with the West over its involvement in the Ukraine war, and the near-daily threats by Putin’s propagandists to deploy atomic weapons.

The Number of Americans Injecting Drugs Skyrockets to Nearly 3.7 Million People in 2018, Study Finds

The opioid epidemic has led to a meteoric rise in injection drug use over the past decade, according to a study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which experts say may also have contributed to an increase in overdoses and infectious diseases.

Researchers from the Coalition for Applied Modeling for Prevention (CAMP) used a combination of federal surveillance data and published research that calculated the rate of overdoses among people who injected drugs.

The modeling study estimated nearly 3.7 million people in the U.S. injected drugs at one point during 2018 – a fivefold increase from the most recent estimate in 2011.

“These are our family and friends and neighbors, and it’s fairly likely that we all know somebody who has injected in the past or is currently injecting,” said lead study author Dr. Heath Bradley, associate professor of epidemiology at the Georgia State University School of Public Health. “We’re hoping that getting this estimate out helps to reduce some of the stigma and otherness that others feel about this population.”

Health experts say the study could help show officials where to direct resources in the opioid epidemic, including safe injection sites, treatment strategies and prevention against infectious diseases like hepatitis C and HIV.
