Media outlets are sounding the alarm after Facebook allegedly handed over data to law enforcement resulting in a teenager and her mother being criminally charged for an abortion.

But the headlines misleadingly suggest the teenager is being unfairly prosecuted. . .

But the truth is the data was evidence investigators requested as they investigated a Nebraska mother and her teenage daughter, who now face multiple criminal charges after they allegedly conducted an illegal abortion, burning and burying the unborn child.

According to the Lincoln Journal Star, a Norfolk, Nebraska, police detective began investigating in April after receiving a tip that then-17-year-old Celeste Burgess, who is now 18 years old, had miscarried a pregnancy and that she and her mother, 41-year-old Jessica Burgess, disposed of the unborn child’s body.

When the detective obtained the teenager’s medical records, he learned she had been pregnant nearly six months and was expected to deliver the child in early July. When he interviewed her, she claimed that she had unexpectedly given birth to a stillborn child while in the shower. Trump Is the Only Possible GOP Candidate for 2024

There are several undeniable conclusions one should reach about the FBI’s raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.

First, the FBI and Department of Justice are notoriously corrupt and filled with partisan actors (although this has been obvious for quite some time). Second, such “Regime apparatchiks” are doing everything in their power to disqualify Trump from running for president ever again. Third — and perhaps most important — Donald Trump is the only possible candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

While leftists pat themselves on the back for their ingenious plan to take down the former president with a carefully engineered bureaucratic scheme — never mind that violations of the Presidential Records Act are common, rarely prosecuted, and never used against the regime’s darlings themselves, i.e., Hillary Clinton — they have no idea they just poked a sleeping bear. Or, as Japanese Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto put it in the 1970 film “Tora! Tora! Tora!,” “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

In other words, if Democrats thought Trump’s base was fired up — thanks to record inflation, skyrocketing gas prices, rampant crime, and a non-existent border, not to mention a well-supported conviction that the 2020 election was indeed “rigged” — the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago just poured fuel on that fire. Of Course It Was! The Washington Post Deletes Tweet After Suggesting FBI Raid Was Politically Motivated

The Washington Post announced Wednesday they deleted a tweet containing a story that suggested, in its initial headline, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) raid on Mar-a-Lago was politically motivated.

The story’s original headline read “Garland vowed to depoliticize Justice. Then the FBI searched Mar-a-Lago,” according to the Post’s since-deleted tweet. The piece described the FBI’s raid as “highly unusual” and dove into the U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Department of Justice’s (DOJ) alleged political motivations regarding the search.

The Post later edited the story’s headline to: “FBI’s search of Mar-a-Lago lands Merrick Garland in a political firestorm.” The outlet deleted the tweet containing the original headline.

“Clarification: A previous tweet of this story had a headline that has changed after publishing. We’ve deleted the tweet,” The Post said.

IRS Job Page Removed After Alarming Description of the Special Agent Position Got Exposed

Again, there’s that long-running joke that we don’t have a secret police force or an American version of the Schutzstaffel because the Internal Revenue Service exists. Of all agencies in the government, this one probably has the most accurate and up-to-date files on every taxpayer, which is no surprise. It was seen as the most hated agency in America for legitimate purposes, though the FBI and DOJ might have supplanted them given the recent raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

Still, the IRS becoming secret police might no longer be a joke. The page was taken down for problematic copy regarding the special agent positions, but screenshots were taken. It read fine regarding the hours, being open to working on weekends, and other rudimentary line items of federal employment. Where most people’s eyes fell out of their sockets should have occurred when it also said that one must be comfortable carrying a firearm and, if necessary, use deadly force.

Democrats Can’t Hide Their Concern About Joe Biden’s Health

President Joe Biden’s bad public gaffes is nothing new. In fact, America is becoming seemingly used to seeing the leader of the U.S. forget where is or what he’s saying, so much so that questions are raised when he actually makes it through a speech without embarrassing his party.

In a new Issues & Insights/TIPP analysis survey, a vast amount of Democrats are worried about Biden’s mental health.

39 percent of Democrats are concerned Biden’s cognitive skills aren’t in tact enough to carry him to the end of presidential term.

The poll noted that despite this percentage not being the majority, it “is still significantly high.”

Drain the Swamp: Trump FBI Raid More Proof We Must Remake a Politicized Bureaucracy

This week’s unprecedented FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home is just one more reason Republicans must fight harder to reform a politicized and powerful bureaucracy.

For three years, the bogus Russia-collusion conspiracy theory helped derail Trump’s presidency, but the problem wasn’t just the lies of his Democratic foes and their media cheerleaders. The willingness of FBI agents and Department of Justice officials to pursue that partisan plot demonstrated that the idea these agencies are staffed by apolitical civil servants is a myth.

Though Attorney General Merrick Garland probably ordered the banana-republic-style effort to treat a former president and likely future political foe like a criminal, the willingness of civil servants to go along with it made it possible.

The travesty demonstrates anew the importance of reforming the civil service. Laws that were intended to ensure those who hold government jobs aren’t playing politics are instead protecting a status quo in which Democrats can count on bureaucrats to aid them and sabotage Republicans.

The “deep state” is no right-wing myth. While administrations come and go, the more than 2 million people who work for the federal government are largely immovable objects who cannot be fired except for cause and, as the Obama-era IRS scandal (among other incidents) indicated, not always then either. Not Again: China Detects First Human Cases of Another Novel Virus

Scientists from China and Singapore recently announced the detection of a novel animal-derived virus known as Langya henipavirus (LayV) in at least 35 humans across China’s eastern provinces of Henan and Shandong, China’s state-run Global Times reported on Tuesday, noting that the zoonotic virus is often found in shrews.

The scientists first announced their discovery in a letter to the editor published by the New England Journal of Medicine on August 4.

The document read, in part:

During sentinel surveillance of febrile patients with a recent history of animal exposure in eastern China, a phylogenetically distinct henipavirus, named Langya henipavirus (LayV), was identified in a throat swab sample from one patient […].

Subsequent investigation identified 35 patients with acute LayV infection in the Shandong and Henan provinces of China, among whom 26 were infected with LayV only (no other pathogens were present).

These 26 patients presented with fever (100% of the patients), fatigue (54%), cough (50%), anorexia (50%), myalgia [muscle pain] (46%), nausea (38%), headache (35%), and vomiting (35%), accompanied by abnormalities of thrombocytopenia [low blood platelet count] (35%), leukopenia [low white blood cell count] (54%), and impaired liver (35%) and kidney (8%) function.

Huh? Biden Boasts ‘Zero Inflation’ — But Food and Rent Soar!

President Joe Biden boasted Wednesday that the United States economy experienced zero inflation in the month of July, even though costs of goods and services are still up 8.5 percent from the previous year.

“I just want to say a number. Zero. Today we received news that our economy had zero inflation in the month of July,” Biden boasted during a speech at the White House.

Inflation of all consumer prices in July was flat from the previous month, thanks to a drop in the price of gasoline from June’s record highs and a sharp decrease in the cost of airfare. . .

But inflation at the grocery store continues to rise. Prices were up 1.3 percent compared with a month earlier and 13.1 percent compared with a year ago.

Former NYPD Commissioner Says Democrats May Try to Orchestrate Trump’s ‘Assassination’ After FBI Raid; Trump Disqualified From Holding Office?

The Department of Justice has not commented publicly on the raid, but Kerik claimed on Newsmax TV he is afraid for Trump’s life.

Kerik joined The Balance with host Eric Bolling, where he said he feels Trump is in grave danger – not only from politically-motivated prosecution – but from the threat of death. He said:

If you remember back in 2016, right before he got elected, I was in Washington D.C. I was at a couple of different social events, and I hear people talking, they said the Democrats want this guy so bad that they wouldn’t put assassination behind it. And I’m gonna tell you something. they’ve tried impeachment, they’ve tried another impeachment, they’ve tried one investigation after another.

This is about one thing: this is about stopping him from running in 2024. And I’m gonna tell you something, I’m not into conspiracies, I’m not into anti-government rhetoric. This is the first time in my lifetime that I would say I am deathly afraid for Donald Trump. I would not put assassination behind these people.

Trump Disqualified From Holding Office? Clinton-Linked Lawyer Points to US Code After FBI Raid

By Washington Examiner. With news of the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago, buzz quickly bubbled up Monday evening about whether former President Donald Trump could be disqualified from holding office again.

The FBI search of the Florida resort was related to Trump’s handling of presidential records, including classified documents, after leaving office, sources told CNN. The search warrant was connected to the National Archives, a senior government official told NBC News.

Such reporting had Marc Elias, the top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign who has drawn scrutiny for his role in pushing Trump-Russia collusion claims, pointing to U.S. Code Title 18, Section 2071. “The media is missing the really, really big reason why the raid today is a potential blockbuster in American politics,” Elias said in a tweet.

The first subsection says: “Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.” (Read more from “Trump Disqualified From Holding Office? White House Downplays Biden’s ‘Lingering’ COVID-19 Cough (VIDEO)

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters not to be concerned by President Joe Biden’s coughing fit during a bill signing Tuesday.

Biden emerged from two-week COVID-19 isolation over the weekend following a coronavirus rebound infection, and his Tuesday remarks were repeatedly punctuated by heavy, loose coughing and nose blowing.

“We shared his negative test today,” Jean-Pierre told reporters at the top of the briefing. “He’s tested negative Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and now, today.”

“What he’s experiencing right now is the lingering effects of COVID, which is something I’m sure many of us who have had COVID have endured or have to deal with,” she continued. “So that’s what you’re seeing at this time.”
