By Fox News. A homeowner in Washington fatally shot a man who tried to break into his home Friday, authorities said.

Deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department received a call from someone saying a man was trying to break into his home and that he had shot him. When they arrived, they found a 36-year-old man dead on a back porch, authorities said.

The homeowner was taken into police custody.

Additionally, the woman had an active no-contact order against her partner.

Authorities stated the pair argued and the woman went to a neighbor’s house.

According to investigators, the man who was shot and murdered attempted to break into a neighbor’s home before being shot.

Two House Republicans Join Most Democrats in Passing ‘Assault Weapons Ban of 2022′

The House of Representatives on Friday passed the “Assault Weapons Ban of 2022,” a bill that would ban various semi-automatic guns, though the measure would grandfather in firearms that people already own.

“It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon,” the text of the bill states. “Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession, sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2022.”

Republican Reps. Chris Jacobs of New York and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joined most Democrats in voting for the bill, but Democratic Reps. Kurt Schrader of Oregon, Henry Cuellar of Texas, Jared Golden of Maine, Ron Kind of Wisconsin, and Vicente Gonzalez of Texas voted against the bill.

The chant became a commonly used MAGA phrase after a sports reporter misheard a crowd, thinking they were celebrating NASCAR driver Brandon Brown’s victory. Trump supporters have used the slogan as a way to criticize Biden vocally.

In a video posted to Twitter, chants broke out as the crowd spotted Trump, Carlson, Greene, Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle as the group smiled and waved.

Trump Shares Joke With Tucker at Golf Club Weeks After Fox Star Shot Down Presidential Run Rumors

By Daily Mail. Donald Trump shared a joke with Fox News star Tucker Carlson during the Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament at his Bedminster golf club Sunday.

The former president, 76, and the TV star who recently insisted he’d never run for president were all-smiles as they were joined by Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to watch the action unfold at the Trump National Golf Club.

LIV arrived at Trump’s club on July 29, sparking controversy from some 9/11 victims who say the Saudi-backed tournament should not be welcomed on US shores.

The former president sparked outrage by saying there was no proof Saudi was linked to the September 2001 atrocity in New York City – which sits just 40 miles from Bedminster – Washington DC and Pennsylvania.

Sunday is the final day of the tournament in Bedminster. It will now move onto The International golf club near Boston, before concluding at Rich Harvest Farms in Illinois on September 18. By Washington Examiner. A Chinese media commentator asked people to “pray” for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) ahead of her planned trip to Taiwan.

A social media post from Global Times commentator Hu Xijin did not threaten Pelosi but did ask for others to wish her “a safe journey” on her expected visit. Top White House officials have expressed safety concerns about Pelosi’s travel plans due to high tensions with China, which claims Taiwan is part of its territory, even though island leaders have maintained it is self-governed.

“Let her go to Taiwan,” the tweet read. “But pray before departure: wish herself a safe journey and wish herself not be defined by history as a sinner who starts a spiral of escalation process expanding military frictions to a large-scale war in the Taiwan Strait.”

White House Finally Defends Potential Pelosi Taiwan Trip

By Breitbart. The White House on Monday warned China not to use a potential Taiwan visit by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to act militarily in the region — even after President Joe Biden publicly raised concerns about the idea.

National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby took the podium at the White House daily briefing to send a strong message to China about Pelosi’s potential trip.

“We will not take the bait or engage in saber-rattling. At the same time, we will not be intimidated,” Kirby said at the top of the briefing.

Kirby simultaneously tried to reassure the Chinese Communist Party that the United States policy has not changed in the region.

“We’ve repeatedly said that we oppose any unilateral changes to the status quo from either side. Texan Who Prosecutors Say “Lit the Match” of Jan. 6 Riot Sentenced to More Than 7 Years in Prison

Guy Reffitt, a Texan who prosecutors said “lit the match” of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, was sentenced to 7 1/4 years in prison on Monday, the longest sentence of any rioter to date but less than what the Justice Department had pushed for.

Reffitt, a 49-year-old from Wylie, was the first rioter to to be convicted at trial in March when a jury found him guilty on five counts: two counts of civil disorder and one count each of obstruction of an official proceeding, entering and remaining on restricted grounds with a firearm and obstruction of justice.

Reffitt, who was a recruiter for the antigovernment movement The Three Percenters, never entered the Capitol but helped ignite the crowd “into an unstoppable force” against police officers who were attempting to protect the Senate wing doors, a prosecutor at the trial said. He was equipped with a handgun, body armor, a helmet, radio and flex cuffs.

“Reffitt sought not just to stop Congress, but also to physically attack, remove, and replace the legislators who were serving in Congress. This is a quintessential example of an intent to both influence and retaliate against government conduct through intimidation or coercion,” prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo.

Prosecutors sought to enhance his sentence to 15 years using a provision in federal law that allows for harsher punishment in terrorism cases, though Reffitt was not convicted of a terrorism charge. Reffitt’s case is the first time prosecutors have sought a terrorism enhancement sentencing for a Jan. 6 rioter. Taiwan Calls Troops Back From Leave To ‘Immediately Prepare For War’ As Pelosi Set To Visit Island: Reports

Taiwan has reportedly started to call back soldiers on leave and ordered them to prepare for war as communist China has repeatedly issued threats ahead of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) anticipated visit to the island this week.

“We would like to tell the United States once again that China is standing by, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army will never sit idly by, and China will take resolute responses and strong countermeasures to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Chinese propagandist Zhao Lijian said at a press briefing this week, reported CBS News.

“As for what measures, if she dares to go, then let’s wait and see,” Zhao added, per CNN.

In response, Taiwan has canceled the leave of some soldiers and ordered them to “immediately prepare for war” while China conducts military drills in the area.

U.S. and Taiwanese officials told CNN that Pelosi is expected to visit the island on Tuesday as part of her trip through Asia despite Democrat President Joe Biden’s apparent warning to her against making the trip. Tulsi Gabbard: The Biden Administration Is Promoting Child Abuse

Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard took to her social media pages over the weekend to highlight a new Food and Drug Administration warning about puberty blockers.

According to the FDA, these drugs can cause blindness and other permanent injuries when taken by children.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has added a warning about the risk of pseudotumor cerebri (idiopathic intracranial hypertension) to the labeling for gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists that are approved for the treatment of central precocious puberty in pediatric patients. These products include Lupron Depot-Ped (leuprolide acetate), Fensolvi (leuprolide acetate), Synarel (nafarelin), Supprelin LA (histrelin) and Triptodur (triptorelin).

The new warning includes recommendations to monitor patients taking GnRH agonists for signs and symptoms of pseudotumor cerebri, including headache, papilledema, blurred or loss of vision, diplopia, pain behind the eye or pain with eye movement, tinnitus, dizziness and nausea.

The FDA assessed the potential risk of pseudotumor cerebri with use of GnRH agonists in pediatric patients by reviewing post-marketing safety data submitted by the GnRH agonist manufacturers, searching the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System and conducting a literature search.

China Puts on Military Spectacle in Attempt to Scare Nancy Pelosi Away From Taiwan

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) staged military exercises and published propaganda videos of various weapons, including an alleged “aircraft carrier killer,” on Sunday and Monday in anticipation of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) arriving in Asia and potentially visiting Taiwan.

Pelosi landed in Singapore on Monday and has since met with its president and prime minister, bringing along a congressional delegation. Pelosi’s office confirmed the delegation would also visit Malaysia, South Korea, and Japan. Rumors for weeks have indicated that Pelosi had long been considering a surprise stop in the sovereign, democratic nation of Taiwan – defying the Chinese Communist Party, which falsely claims Taiwan as a rogue “province” and dismisses its government as an illegitimate separatist entity.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX) confirmed to Breitbart News last week that Pelosi was planning to visit Taiwan and had invited him to join, though he was unable to due to scheduling reasons.

Various Communist Party spokesmen and propagandists have spent much of the past month threatening Pelosi in an attempt to prevent the visit, warning that Beijing would consider such a high-profile visit a violation of its “One China” policy – which insists that Taiwan (the Republic of China) is a province of the People’s Republic of China. Top Global Times commentator Hu Xijin suggested last week that Chinese forces should shoot Pelosi’s plane down if it appears to be traveling to Taiwan. Hu described a visit to Taiwan by Pelosi and the delegation, even if welcomed by the Taiwanese government, as an “invasion” of China.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian addressed the situation with threats once again on Monday, though he did not warn of any particular measure against the United States.

Beyoncé is caving to the woke cancel mob by agreeing to remove to word “spazz” from her new album Renaissance, following complaints that the word is ableist.

“The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced,” a spokesperson for the pop diva said in a statement sent to multiple news outlets Monday.

The word “spazz” and its variants are used in the song “Heated,” which is the 11th track of the album. “Spazzin’ on that ass, spazz on that ass,” Beyonce sings. The lyrics occur late in the number, around two-thirds of the way through the single.

“Spazz” is seen by some activists as an ableist slur against people with spastic muscle conditions. Israel’s War on Cash Is About to Get More Drastic

Starting Monday, it will be a criminal offense in Israel to pay more than the equivalent of $1,700 in cash to a business or $4,360 in cash to individual, as the government intensifies its ongoing war on tangible money.

It’s a war that began in earnest with the 2018 passage of the Law for the Reduction in the Use of Cash. Israeli businesses and individuals began facing limits on cash transactions in January 2019. However, on Aug 1, those limits are being slashed nearly in half.

“We want the public to reduce the use of cash money,” Tamar Bracha, who’s responsible for carrying out the law for Israel’s Tax Authority, told The Media Line.

“The goal is to reduce cash fluidity in the market, mainly because crime organizations tend to rely on cash. By limiting the use of it, criminal activity is much harder to carry out.”

Israel also limits the extent to which cash is used in transactions involving multiple payment methods. If the total transaction value is more than the above thresholds, cash may only be used for 10% of the purchase.
