Biden Admin Reportedly Unaware of “National Security Review” of Musk Ventures

Twitter is paring some of its overnight declines on reports that the White House is not aware of national security review for Musk Ventures (including Starlink and his deal for Twitter).

Of course, The White House is not supposed to comment on (or in fact even know about) what The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) does, so this statement is not entirely surprising.

“It does seem fanciful that the U.S. Government would view Twitter as a national security asset,” Canaccord Genuity’s Quest analyst Graham Simpson said in an email.

As we detailed overnight, one month ago we joked that should the Delaware judge force Musk to buy Twitter, then none other than the US government would step in and prevent the South African from gaining control over the blue-checkmark echo chamber of record, the one social media network which congressional testimony after congressional testimony has argued it can manipulate the outcome of elections.

Well, that prediction is about to come true, because according to Bloomberg, the Biden administration is discussing whether the US should subject some of Elon Musk’s ventures to national security reviews, including the deal for Twitter and SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network, citing people familiar with the matter. Russia Envoy to U.S.: Channel That Stopped Nuclear War 60 Years Ago Is Dead

By Newsweek. Asecret, direct channel between the Kremlin and the White House helped to prevent nuclear war 60 years ago, as Moscow and Washington engaged in a nuclear standoff known in the United States as the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Today, however, with U.S.-Russia relations at their lowest point since the end of the Cold War and new talk of nuclear contingencies emerging from both sides, Moscow’s envoy in Washington has told Newsweek that no such communication now exists, setting the stage for a new and dangerous era for the two nations, and for the rest of the world.

Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., recalled the words of his predecessor, Anatoly Dobrynin, who said in his time that “the Cuban missile crisis revealed the mortal danger of a direct armed confrontation of the two great powers, a confrontation headed off on the brink of war thanks to both sides’ timely and agonizing realization of the disastrous consequences.”

Antonov also quoted U.S. President John F. The FBI Has Announced Indictments Of 22 Pro-Life Protesters And Zero Pregnancy Center Firebombers

The Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the indictment of pro-life activist Herb Geraghty on Oct. 14, bringing the number of apparently nonviolent pro-life protesters targeted under the FACE (Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances) Act by President Joe Biden’s DOJ this year to 22. Meanwhile, the agency has yet to announce a single arrest or indictment against any of the vandals or arsonists who terrorized and firebombed crisis pregnancy centers after the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturning Roe v. Wade.

Geraghty, a 25-year-old from Pittsburgh, is accused of participating in a “reproductive health care clinic blockade in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 22, 2020.” Along with nine other defendants, the DOJ alleges, Geraghty “forcefully entered the [abortion facility] and set about blockading two clinic doors using their bodies, furniture, chains and ropes.” In March, the FBI announced indictments against the other nine: “Lauren Handy, 28, of Alexandria, Virginia; Jonathan Darnel, 40, of Arlington, Virginia, Jay Smith, 32, of Freeport, New York; Paulette Harlow, 73, of Kingston, Massachusetts; Jean Marshall, 72, of Kingston, Massachusetts; John Hinshaw, 67, of Levittown, New York; Heather Idoni, 61, of Linden, Michigan; William Goodman, 52, of the Bronx, New York; and Joan Bell, 74, of Montague, New Jersey.”

“The indictment also alleges that all 10 defendants violated the FACE Act by using a physical obstruction to injure, intimidate and interfere with the clinic’s employees and a patient, because they were providing or obtaining reproductive health services,” the DOJ continued in its recent press release. Democrats Are Already Telling Americans to Expect Delayed Election Results This Fall

Democrats throughout the political and corporate media spheres are attempting to normalize delayed election results in highly contested states ahead of Election Day, forecasting that final vote totals might not be fully known until well after Nov. 8.

During a Zoom call with reporters last week, Pennsylvania’s acting secretary of state, Leigh Chapman, said that Americans should not be surprised if the state doesn’t have final election results on election night this November, with the Pennsylvania Democrat blaming any potential delays in vote tabulations on a state law that says election workers can’t begin processing mail-in ballots until Election Day.

“Official results will be available within a few days,” Chapman said. “This delay does not mean anything nefarious is happening. It simply means that the process is working as it is designed to work in Pennsylvania and that election officials are doing their job to count every vote.”

Pennsylvania is among nine states and the District of Columbia that permit election officials to begin processing absentee and mail-in ballots prior to the polls closing, but not before Election Day, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. As of Oct. 19, more than a million Pennsylvania voters had applied to vote by mail, with Chapman telling reporters the “overwhelming majority” of mail-in ballot requests have come from Democrats. Major Media Group Compares Trump Supporters to ‘Lice, Fleas, Blood-Sucking Ticks’

MSNBC’s ongoing and relentless Nazi-style dehumanization campaign against Trump supporters took an especially ugly (but not unexpected) turn this week when the far-left outlet compared Trump supporters to “the lice, the fleas, and the blood-sucking ticks.”

This comes on top of what the Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson aptly described as MSNBC’s Rwanda-style race hate:

Senator Fetterwoman? Biden Tells John Fetterman’s Wife: ‘You’re Going to Be a Great, Great Lady in the Senate’

President Joe Biden appeared to endorse Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman’s wife, Gisele Barreto Fetterman, in Pennsylvania on Thursday, telling her she would be a “great lady” in the Senate.

“John, thank you very much for running. I really do appreciate it,” Biden began. “And Gisele, you’re going to be a great, great lady in the Senate.”

Biden commented on the Fettermans as he appeared with them in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to talk about his infrastructure bill.

Gisele Fetterman has become something of a political star since her husband suffered a massive stroke just days before the Democratic primary, as she delivered her husband’s acceptance speech. Hilarious: This May Just Be the Best Response to Climate Change Radicals

We’ve seen a lot of climate change protesters in this country. They’re usually incredibly annoying, doing things like blocking traffic by linking themselves together on the highway or gluing their hands to something. . .

The usual reaction to people like this has been to cut them loose or free them from the glue and arrest them.

But the folks at Volkswagen may just have had the best response ever to this kind of idiocy.

Sixteen members of “Scientist Rebellion” (which looks like an offshoot of Extinction Rebellion) went to the Porsche pavilion at Volkswagen’s Autostadt in Germany. Nine of them glued themselves to the floor, they also had six other people, and one of the glued “scientists” claimed that some were “on hunger strike until our demands to decarbonize the German transport sector are met.” . . .

But hold on, here comes the best part. Rather than calling the police, getting them loose, and having them arrested, the Volkswagen people left them there and closed, turning everything off, with them glued to the floor, without food, heat, and as, they complained, any way to go to the bathroom.

Social Security Will Allow People to Select Their ‘Gender Identity’ Going Forward

The Social Security Administration announced this week that people will now be able to select the sex that most aligns with their “gender identity” in records going forward.

According to a press release from the SSA, the policy was created to be more inclusive to “transgender” and “gender diverse” Americans.

“The Social Security Administration’s Equity Action Plan includes a commitment to decrease administrative burdens and ensure people who identify as gender diverse or transgender have options in the Social Security Number card application process,” said Acting Commissioner Kijakazi in a statement. “This new policy allows people to self-select their sex in our records without needing to provide documentation of their sex designation.” (Read more from “Social Security Will Allow People to Select Their ‘Gender Identity’ Going Forward” HERE)

Elon Musk Planning to Cut 75% Of Twitter Workforce: Report

Billionaire Elon Musk told prospective investors in his deal to buy Twitter that he planned to get rid of nearly 75% of the social media company’s 7,500 workers, the Washington Post reported on Thursday, citing interviews and certain documents.

The job cuts are expected in the coming months, no matter who owns the company, according to the report.

Twitter’s current management planned to pare the company’s payroll by about $800 million by the end of next year, a number that would mean the departure of nearly a quarter of the workforce, the report said.

Human resources staff at the social media company have told employees that they were not planning for mass layoffs, but documents showed extensive plans to push out staff and cut down on infrastructure costs were already in place before Musk offered to buy the company, the Washington Post reported.
