Armed Protesters, Counter-Protesters Violently Clash Over Drag Queen Storytime Event

Armed protesters and counter-protesters clashed outside a drag queen storytime event at an Oregon pub over the weekend.

More than 300 demonstrators hurled rocks and smoke grenades at each other outside Old Nick’s Pub in Eugene as a group gathered inside to read a story.

The pub was the latest target of LGBTQ+ hate after right-wing personalities complained about an 11-year-old drag performer called Vanellope who was expected to perform.

Authorities said the crowd lobbed rocks and some smoke bombs at one another before police shut the event down, according to the Register Guard.

Some protestors in the crowd came to the event for small children armed with semi-automatic rifles, officials added. (Read more from “Armed Protesters, Counter-Protesters Violently Clash Over Drag Queen Storytime Event” HERE)

Gallup: Americans’ Optimism for Young People’s Future Hits All-Time Low

Americans’ optimism about young people having more material success than their parents is as low as it has been in nearly three decades, according to a Gallup poll released Tuesday.

The poll found that 42% of adults find it very or somewhat likely that today’s youth “will have a better living standard, better homes, a better education and so on.”

That marks an 18-percentage-point drop since Gallup last asked the question in 2019 and is statistically equal to the all-time low of 44% in 2011.

“Americans’ overall sour mood about the economy and the direction of the country is also borne out in their low optimism about the next generation’s prospects of having a better life than their parents,” Gallup said.

The polling company first asked the question in 2008. It said Americans with higher incomes and Republicans drove the most recent decline. (Read more from “Gallup: Americans’ Optimism for Young People’s Future Hits All-Time Low” HERE)

WATCH: Biden-Endorsed John Fetterman Opens Debate With ‘Hi. Goodnight, Everybody.’ and the Stumbles Didn’t End There

Democratic Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman repeatedly stumbled over his words during a Tuesday debate with Republican rival Mehmet Oz, demonstrating the lingering effects from a stroke that knocked him off the campaign trail for more than three months.

“Hi. Goodnight, everybody,” Fetterman said during introductions.

Fetterman suffered the stroke in early May, shortly before winning his primary against Rep. Conor Lamb. He did not reappear on the campaign trail until August, and a doctor later revealed that he initially suffered heart problems in 2017 but did not receive follow-up treatment. Fetterman has primarily conducted his campaign through surrogates, most prominently his wife Gisele, who have suggested that concerns about his health constitute “ableism.”

“I might miss some words during this debate, mush two words together. It might knock me down, but I’m going to keep coming back up,” he said.

White House Claims Voter Suppression in Georgia, With No Evidence

During the daily briefing at the White House Tuesday afternoon, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about record voter turnout in Georgia just two weeks out from Election Day.

When asked specifically about President Joe Biden calling new voter integrity laws in the state “Jim Crow 2.0,” Jean-Pierre claimed suppression is still present even with record numbers. . .

Killer Revealed: St. Louis School Shooter Pictured in Eerie Yearbook Photo as New Details Emerge; Report: School Attacker Had Rifle, Roughly 600 Rounds of Ammo

By New York Post. The “isolated loner” teenager who killed two people at his St. Louis high school was captured in an eerie yearbook photo looking sullen and expressionless.

The picture of Orlando Harris was confirmed by police on Tuesday — a day after he carried out the deadly shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.

The 19-year-old, who gunned down a fellow student and gym teacher, wore a white hoodie, a black jacket and looked solemn in the photo that was widely shared on the internet before authorities confirmed it was Harris.

Earlier Tuesday, details of chilling note written by Harris were revealed, where he called his lonely lonely life a “perfect storm for a mass shooter.”

The note was left in Harris’ car before he stormed the high school with an AR-15-style rifle and more than 600 rounds of ammunition. Harris killed tenth-grader Alexandria Bell and 61-year-old physical education teacher Jean Kuczka before he was killed in a shootout with police. Report: St. Louis School Attacker Had Rifle, Roughly 600 Rounds of Ammo

By Breitbart. St. Louis school attacker Orlando Harris was armed with a rifle and approximately 600 rounds of ammunition when he entered Central Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) Monday morning and killed two people, according to authorities.

Breitbart News reported that police ended 19-year-old Harris’s attack minutes after it began, yet two people — a teacher and a female student — were killed in the attack.

Harris died from an exchange of gunfire with police.

Fox 3 Now noted that Harris was a 2021 graduate of CVPA, and KMOV 4 observed that he did not have a criminal history.

Harris’s car was found near the scene of the attack, and a note inside the car said, “I Don’t have any friends I don’t have any family, I’ve never had a girlfriend, I’ve never had a social life, I’ve been an isolated loner my entire life. This was the perfect storm for a mass shooting.”

‘Operation Tangled Web’: Major Child Sex Crimes, Human Trafficking Bust Nets 16 Suspects

Authorities have arrested 16 suspects in Arizona in connection with child sex crimes and human trafficking.

According to Phoenix Police, the department coordinated with other law enforcement agencies for “Operation Tangled Web,” an undercover operation targeting the “demand for child sex crimes and human trafficking.”

In carrying out the operation, undercover detectives posted advertisements on websites that are “commonly sought out by suspects seeking illegal sex acts,” the department said, FOX 10 reported.

“The suspects allegedly solicited and/or brokered deals for various sex acts and were subsequently arrested,” police said.

“The Phoenix Police Department routinely conducts operations of this type with our local, state and federal partners in a continuous effort to reduce the demand that fuels child sex trafficking and the exploitation of children in our community,” they continued. “The following suspects solicited various sex acts from minors and were arrested.” (Read more from “‘Operation Tangled Web’: Major Child Sex Crimes, Human Trafficking Bust Nets 16 Suspects” HERE)

New York Supreme Court Hands Down Major Victory on Vaccine Mandates

The New York Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that state government workers, including first responders, fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine should not only be reinstated to their jobs, but given backpay.

“It is clear that the Health Commissioner has the authority to issue public health mandates. No one is refuting that authority. However, the Health Commissioner cannot create a new condition of employment for City employees. The Health Commissioner cannot prohibit an employee from returning to work. The Health Commissioner cannot terminate employees. The Mayor cannot exempt certain employees from these orders. Executive Order No. 62 renders all of these vaccine mandates arbitrary and capricious,” the ruling states. “Being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting Covid-19. As of the day of this Decision, CDC guidelines regarding quarantine and isolation are the same for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.”

“We have learned through the course of this pandemic that the vaccine against Covid-19 is not absolute. Breakthrough cases occur, even for those who have been vaccinated and boosted. President Joseph Biden has said the pandemic is over. The State of New York ended the Covid-19 state of emergency over a month ago,” the ruling continues. “As this Court stated in its decision in the Rivicci matter, this is not a commentary on the efficacy of vaccination, but about how we were treating our first responders, the ones who worked day-to-day through the height of the pandemic,” the ruling continues. “They worked without protective gear. They were infected with Covid-19, creating natural immunity. They continued working full duty while their exemption requests were pending. They were terminated and are willing to come back to work for the City that cast them aside.” (Read more from “New York Supreme Court Hands Down Major Victory on Vaccine Mandates” HERE)

Joe Biden Calls for ‘One COVID Shot Each Year’ as He Gets Fifth Vaccine Shot

President Joe Biden urged Americans to get their coronavirus vaccine boosters, recommending one additional booster shot per year.

“If you’re fully vaccinated, get one more COVID shot. Once a year. That’s it,” Biden said during a speech on his imitation White House video set.

The president got his fifth coronavirus shot live on camera, even though he contracted and recovered from the virus in July.

But he urged all Americans to keep getting their boosters.

“Your old vaccine or your previous COVID infection will not give you maximum protection,” he said. (Read more from “Joe Biden Calls for ‘One COVID Shot Each Year’ as He Gets Fifth Vaccine Shot” HERE)

Democrats: The Only Way to Save Democracy Is One-Party Rule

At this point, it would save everyone time if Democrats could simply point to a policy agenda item that isn’t going to save democracy — if such a thing exists.

If Republicans vote, they are killing democracy. If they don’t vote, they are killing democracy. The only way to “save democracy,” writes The Washington Post’s Max Boot, is to empower one-party rule — a position that probably sounds counterintuitive to anyone with a middle-school education. “Now you need to vote to literally save democracy again,” contends President Joe Biden, or we will lose our “fundamental rights and freedoms like the right to choose, the right to privacy, the right to vote — our very democracy.”

Chilling stuff. But it doesn’t end there. You will remember that by failing to “reform” the filibuster, which would entail authorizing the thinnest of fleeting majorities to shove through massive generational “reforms” without any national consensus or debate, we are also killing democracy. This has been the position not only of left-wing pundits and the New York Times editorial board, but also senators tasked with defending their institution. I wonder if they will support this democracy-saving fix next session, as well?

Then again, if we don’t nationalize the economy to avert a climate crisis, we are also killing democracy. “We’ve got to save democracy in order to save our species,” Jamie Raskin explains. And if we don’t empty the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to temporarily keep gas prices low to help Democrats win in 2022, we are killing democracy. “We find ourselves in a situation, where keeping gas prices low is key to preserving and strengthening the future of our democracy,” MSNBC’s Chris Hayes says.

We must allow the president to unilaterally create trillion-dollar spending bills and break existing private sector contracts by fiat. For democracy. We must pack the court to “save democracy.” We must create a Ministry of Truth to help with “strengthening democratic institutions.” We must vote for a Pennsylvania candidate who can’t cobble two consecutive coherent sentences together because the “fate of our democracy” is at stake, says our former president. State Bill Would Allow Residents to Manufacture Unlimited Embryos and Destroy Them All

Assisted reproductive technology is marred with ethical and moral controversy, but under a new bill that could be passed by the Illinois House of Representatives as soon as next month, procedures such as the serial manufacturing and destruction of embryos could become “fundamental rights” for residents of the state.

Margaret Croke, the freshman state representative for Illinois’s 12th district, first introduced HB 5779 in August with the intent of debating it in the legislative veto session scheduled for November. Croke wrote in her September newsletter about using the bill to enshrine abortion and assisted reproductive technology (ART), such as serial embryo creation and destruction, as “fundamental rights” for all Illinoisans. . .

The Democrat’s legislation, specifically, seeks to amend the state’s “Reproductive Health Act,” a law granting residents on-demand abortions, to add ART to the list of “fundamental rights” all adults in the state can demand.

That technology, according to the bill text, includes in vitro fertilization, gamete intrafallopian transfer, zygote intrafallopian transfer, embryo biopsy, preimplantation genetic diagnosis (which often yields incorrect results and leads to premature disposal of viable embryos), embryo freezing (which reduces the chance of an embryo surviving), problematic procedures such as supplying egg and sperm (which preys on young adults strapped for cash), and supplying embryos.
