Justice Department Sues Google

The Biden administration’s Justice Department and several state attorneys general filed suit against Google on Tuesday for allegedly monopolizing various digital advertising technologies.

The agency claimed Google monopolizes the tools that website publishers use to sell advertisements and that companies utilize to purchase advertisements. The civil antitrust suit, which follows another complaint issued by the Trump administration’s Justice Department three years ago related to the company’s alleged monopoly over search advertising, is backed by the attorneys general of California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Virginia.

“Today’s complaint alleges that Google has used anticompetitive, exclusionary, and unlawful conduct to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital advertising technologies,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a press release. “The Justice Department will vigorously enforce our antitrust laws to protect consumers, safeguard competition, and ensure economic fairness and opportunity for all.”

Shares for Alphabet fell nearly 2% on Tuesday; the company’s stock price has declined 25% over the past year, exceeding 9% decreases in the S&P 500 and 18% decreases in the technology-heavy NASDAQ Composite.

The Justice Department claimed that Google has engaged in a “pattern of acquisitions to obtain control over key digital advertising tools” and has manipulated advertising auctions to “deprive rivals of scale.” Such moves may violate the Sherman Act, which outlaws “monopolization, attempted monopolization, or conspiracy or combination to monopolize” deemed unreasonable by the court system. The War in Ukraine Is Finally Starting to Pay Off for Big Defense Contractors

The two largest U.S. defense contractors saw a boost in sales as the Pentagon accelerated weapons orders to fill the gap left by billions in weapons and equipment sent to Ukraine, the companies said Tuesday.

Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Technologies posted fourth quarter 2022 earnings Tuesday that came in still slightly below earnings from the same period in 2021, attributing the downturn to labor shortages and supply chain issues that suppressed earnings throughout 2022, statements show. However, the two largest beneficiaries of $6.6 billion in Department of Defense (DOD) contracts awarded to industry as part of the Ukraine war response are picking up the pace compared to the previous quarter, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“We’ve got the orders, we’ve got the capacity,” Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes said on an investor call Tuesday to break down the company’s quarterly earnings report. “We just need to bring the materials in.”

Lockheed reported quarterly sales of $19 billion, 3% above internal forecasts, netting $1.9 million in profit compared to $2.05 billion the prior year. Raytheon earned $1.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to $685 million in the same period in 2021, with sales skyrocketing nearly 6% to $18.1 billion, results that beat Wall Street expectations, The Associated Press reported. There’s Another Huge Bombshell in Kari Lake’s Election Lawsuit

In a court filing from last week, “Governor” Katie Hobbs (D-Ariz.) requested that Kari Lake’s election lawsuit be thrown out, claiming that Lake failed to prove that Arizona voters were disenfranchised in the 2022 elections.

“Despite seven witnesses, hundreds of declarants, and thousands of pages of exhibits, Lake failed to demonstrate any violations of Arizona law and offered no evidence that absent alleged violations the outcome of the election would have been different,” the filing reads.

But on Monday, Lake’s team indicated that more evidence is on the way, and this evidence could be game-changing. . .

The new information was presented to the Arizona Senate Elections Committee by Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC) Vice Chair Shelby Busch.

“We received just a few weeks ago, January of 2023, the system log files from the tabulators that were used in Maricopa County on Election Day, along with the redacted CVR records. Through an analysis, we were able to determine that a quarter of a million ballot feeds [were] misread by those tabulators,” Busch explained. “There are approximately two tabulators in every polling Center, which means there were 446 tabulators with a quarter of a million voter attempt failures.”

Mike Pence Had Classified Documents Too

As more and more classified documents are discovered in President Biden’s Wilmington home, it turns out more than just Biden and former President Trump took sensitive materials from their respective vice presidential and presidential offices.

On Tuesday, CNN broke the news that former Vice President Mike Pence also had some classified documents, a fact he informed Congress of on Tuesday, found at his home in Indiana on January 16. Pence had “about a dozen” classified documents from his time as VP, and subsequently turned them over to the FBI.

As CNN explained in its report based on “sources” —

The classified documents were discovered at Pence’s new home in Carmel, Indiana, by a lawyer for Pence in the wake of the revelations about classified material discovered in President Joe Biden’s private office and residence, the sources said.

In a twist, Pence had said in previous interviews that he did not have any classified documents in his possession from his four years as VP to Trump. (Read more from “Mike Pence Had Classified Documents Too” HERE)

Gavin Newsom’s Latest Attack Against the Second Amendment Is Dripping With Irony

California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) criticized the Second Amendment during an interview with CBS News after recent mass shootings in his state, but his comments against the right to own a firearm were interesting since he was being guarded by men with guns at the same time.

“This Second Amendment’s becoming a suicide pact, it feels like. That’s the only question the community wants: How are you going to, what about our kids when they’re going to school? What more can we do? And, you know again, we look at that all the time. I mean, we did another half-dozen gun safety bills last year. We’ll continue to find all the loopholes we can. We’ll continue to lead the national conversation on gun safety reform,” Newsom said.

“California’s 37 percent lower than the death rate of the rest of the nation, and yet, with all that evidence, no one on the other side seems to give a damn,” he continued.

While he was walking with host Nora O’Donnell outside, multiple bodyguards can be seen in the background.

Biden Administration Slammed With New Lawsuit by 20 Different States

A coalition of 20 states and a top conservative legal group is suing the Biden administration over its recently-expanded humanitarian parole program that allows tens of thousands of migrants from designated countries a month into the U.S. — arguing that the program is unlawful.

The lawsuit, filed by Texas and America First Legal in the Southern District of Texas, is joined by 19 additional states who are seeking to block the Biden administration’s parole program which allow up to 30,000 migrants from Haiti, Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela into the U.S. each month.

The Biden administration announced the program for Venezuelans in October, which allowed a limited number to fly directly into the U.S. as long as they had not entered illegally, had a sponsor in the U.S. already and passed certain checks.

Earlier this month, President Biden announced that the program would be expanding to include Haitians, Nicaraguans and Cubans, and that the program would allow up to 30,000 a month into the U.S. It was announced alongside an expansion of Title 42 expulsions to include those nationalities. ‘Deafening Silence’: Obama Office Pressed About Search for Classified Documents

Former President Barack Obama’s office declined to answer questions about whether it is searching for classified documents at his residences after documents have now been found in the homes and offices of President Biden, former President Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence.

“We have nothing for you at this time,” Hannah Hankins, the communications director for Obama, told Fox News Digital when asked if searches for classified material were underway.

Five batches of classified documents from President Biden have been discovered since November from his time as Obama’s vice president. One batch was located at the Penn Biden Center and four at his Wilmington, Delaware, residence. A special counsel investigation into the matter was launched in January by Attorney General Merrick Garland.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida to recover classified documents in August. Former Vice President Mike Pence informed Congress Tuesday that classified documents were discovered at his Carmel, Indiana, residence. WH Falsely Claims ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban Reduced Mass Shootings

CLAIM: White house press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed the result of the 1994-2004 “assault weapons” ban was that “mass shootings went down.”

VERDICT: False.

. . .Jean-Pierre pushed for an “assault weapons” ban at the federal level, saying, “The last time we had an ‘assault weapons’ ban on the books, thanks to the President and Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) leadership, mass shootings actually went down.”

Jean-Pierre’s claim is 180 degrees out of sync with the information discovered and published by the Department of Justice’s National Institute of Justice (NIJ).

Breitbart News reported the NIJ’s findings, which were originally published just as the “assault weapons” ban was coming to an end. The NIJ made clear that the ban could not be credited with any reduction in crime. (Read more from “WH Falsely Claims ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban Reduced Mass Shootings” HERE)

Biden Was a National Security Threat Long Before His Classified Docs Fiasco

Long before classified and potentially compromising documents were discovered in President Joe Biden’s “think tank” office and Wilmington home and garage, the Democrat’s actions posed a threat to U.S. national security.

The discovery of even more top secret documents dating back to Biden’s time as vice president and senator sparked widespread concerns that the current president hid material that put U.S. national security at risk, potentially for decades. . .

By openly pursuing a policy of escalation in the U.S.-funded proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, Biden and his administration have significantly increased the threat of nuclear war. A conflict that only ends on Ukraine’s terms and might result in a radioactive third world war compromises Americans’ safety and tax dollars.

It also leaves countries like Taiwan vulnerable to communist China’s hegemonic operations. While China stockpiled hundreds of nuclear warheads and prepared to expand its influence, Biden was further emboldening his country’s No. 1 foreign threat. First, he did business with the Chinese gas giant with ties to his son. Then Biden pushed the Saudis into an amicable relationship with the Eastern communist government.

Speaking of the Middle East, it was Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal that sent tens of thousands of Afghan refugees into U.S. cities without proper screening, vetting, and inspection. This lapse in security resulted in two known security risks and dozens more evacuees tainted by “derogatory information” entering the country unmonitored. Veep Cut: Trump Responds After Pence’s Classified Doc Discovery

Former President Donald Trump was quick to respond to reports that classified documents were found at former Vice President Mike Pence’s home in Indiana.

Trump, who is dealing with the fallout of his own classified documents scandal, took to Truth Social to say: “Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life. Leave him alone!!!”

Given how Trump’s relationship with Pence deteriorated in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and his vice president’s refusal to change the Electoral College vote, it’s unclear if Trump was being sincere or sarcastic with his message.

Pence’s team alerted the National Archives to two boxes of possible classified materials inside the house on Jan. 18.
