AMC Pulls Documentary Featuring Detransitioners From Theaters in Face of Pressure

A documentary featuring the journey of several detransitioners scheduled to hit the big screen this week was scrapped by AMC after activists mounted a pressure campaign to stop the film’s screening.

The major movie theater chain canceled showings of “No Way Back: The Reality of Gender-Affirming Care” yet producers of the film are claiming AMC caved to the demands of a transgender advocacy group called Queer Trans Project, according to Fox News. . .

One of the detransitioners in the film panned the cancellation during an interview with Fox News.

“I think it’s incredibly dangerous to set this precedent of suppressing free speech, suppressing viewpoints that basically are just unpopular or difficult to deal with,” Laura Becker said.

The 90-minute film claims to feature the stories of detransitioners, as well as a dozen experts in related fields. Press materials for the film say it examines the risks and long-term implications of gender-affirming medication. DNC in Disarray: Biden Looks Likely to Lose First Two Contests of 2024

As Townhall has covered since Democrat party bosses decided to upend their party’s 2024 primary schedule last December, President Joe Biden’s party might have taken action that will see the incumbent president lose the first two contests of the looming primary season.

In February when the DNC voted to formally approve the new schedule, Townhall noted that “there’s still an uncertain and rocky road ahead for Democrats due to state laws and other yet-to-be-fully-determined problems.”

As it turns out, that rocky road included bumps that turned out to be insurmountable for the national Democrat leaders who sought to remove first in the nation status from Iowa (caucuses) and New Hampshire (primary) and give it to South Carolina, followed by New Hampshire and Nevada a few days later and rounded out with Michigan and Georgia primaries earlier in the cycle.

In a reality that is looking “increasingly likely” according to an Axios report last Thursday, Iowa and New Hampshire will still be the first states to hold their contests before South Carolina’s primary, states where “Biden’s team is indicating he won’t be on the ballots” if they end up bucking the DNC’s officially sanctioned calendar. Biden Pledges Climate Action ‘By 2020′ (VIDEO)

If it’s a day that ends in “y,” President Joe Biden is probably trying and failing to deliver public remarks without causing confusion. On Monday, the president was in California to deliver “remarks on the climate crisis,” but one line stood out because it sounded as though he had taken a time machine, not Air Force One, to the West Coast.

“And maybe most important, I’ve committed that by 2020, we will have conserved 30 percent of all the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over and simultaneously reduced emissions to blunt climate impact,” Biden declared in his speech that followed remarks by California Governor Gavin Newsom (D), a potential 2024 primary challenger to Biden waiting in the wings — especially as Biden’s fitness (or lack thereof) becomes more of an issue.

Despite declaring confidently that he had committed “by twenty-twenty” to conserve a significant portion of federal land, Joe Biden was not president in 2020. He took office in January 2021. WATCH: Police Release Video Showing Attack Against Pro-Lifers Outside Planned Parenthood

Baltimore Police recently released video surveillance of an unidentified male attacking two pro-life advocates in front of a Planned Parenthood last month.

Dick Schafer, 80, and Mark Crosby, 73, were assaulted and injured outside the abortion facility on N. Howard Street. While Schafer reportedly had been recovering at home after the attack, Crosby received treatment for a large hematoma, hyphemia, and head and neck pain at the University of Maryland’s shock trauma facility.

Central District Detectives released the video on Thursday in a bid to find the person involved in the assault, which occurred on May 26, 2023. The footage shows the unknown suspect, described as a white male with brown hair and a full beard, wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes. . .

Local pro-lifer John Roswell said the suspect asked Planned Parenthood “deathscorts” to hold his drink before attacking Schafer, who reportedly had his back turned away from the person at the time of the assault,” The Daily Wire previously reported. Dem Senator Ripped for Pulling Shotgun on Unarmed Black Jogger After Juneteenth Post

Sen. John Fetterman’s Monday Twitter post celebrating Juneteenth and “Black lives” was mocked by users of the social media platform — who were quick to point out that the Pennsylvania Democrat had once pulled a shotgun on an unarmed black jogger.

“Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate emancipation + reflect on the long shadow of systemic racism in America,” Fetterman wrote on the social media platform.

“PA always stands by the unshakeable truth that Black families matter + Black lives matter,” the former mayor of Braddock, Pa., added.

The post triggered a flood of replies, with some users accusing Fetterman of engaging in racial profiling during a 2013 incident in which he pursued a running African-American man and pulled a shotgun on him because he wrongly believed his quarry had been involved in a shooting.

“Senator, why don’t you tell that story about that time you chased a black jogger and held a shotgun on him because you thought he was a criminal?” former Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said in a tweet.

Blinken Bends the Knee to Xi in Beijing Visit, Fails to Secure Key Military Communication Deal

Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a long-anticipated trip to China in mid-June, making several key concessions to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and failing to secure a key military communication agreement.

Blinken left for China on Friday and will make his return Wednesday, but has already met with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Director of the CCP Central Foreign Affairs Office Wang Yi and Foreign Minister Qin Gang. Blinken made the trip with the goal of “stabilizing” U.S.-China relations and repeatedly emphasized the Biden administration was not seeking conflict with Beijing.

Blinken said one of his foremost goals was to open up a line of military-to-military direct communication for times of crisis. Despite the priority team Biden placed on this request, the CCP once again turned down the offer, Blinken said Monday.

China has rebuffed Biden’s offers for more direct military communications multiple times in recent months, including turning down a recent offer for high-level meetings with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. Pornography Consumption Linked to Serious Health Issue for Men: Study

A new study has revealed a concerning link between men who watch porn and a serious health condition.

New reports suggest a significant link between men who watch “problematic” pornography and the likelihood of them developing an eating disorder, according to research published in Body Image.

Researchers from the University of Haifa and the Max Stern Yezreel Valley College in Israel conducted the study, which was released earlier this month.

A total of 705 men participated in the study, ranging in age from 18 to 68, with the average age 32.

Over 5,000 Congregations Break Away From United Methodist Church Over Pro-LGBT Stance

Resistance to the LGBT agenda now spans legislatures, schools, and churches across the country and world, bringing division among Catholic and Anglican bishops, and now among Methodist pastors as well.

More than 5,000 congregations have left the United Methodist Church (UMC), the second-largest Protestant denomination in the U.S., over its pro-LGBT stance. The “disaffiliation” movement saw churches leaving in droves over the past several weeks, with UM News, the official news service of the UMC, reporting the disaffiliation of 5,458 churches just this year and 25,500 Methodist churches remaining.

According to reports, the mass exodus of Methodist churches comes after “liberal leaders in the UMC disregarded a 2019 vote upholding the church’s ban on ordaining LGBT clergy and officiating at or hosting same-sex weddings.”

In 2022, Fox News reported that “several conservative members of the Methodist clergy” stated that “far from settling the issue, however, the 2019 vote was disregarded by many liberal leaders within the UMC who decided to remain in the denomination while commissioning openly gay clergy and officiating same-sex weddings anyway.”

In 2019, the Methodist General Conference also “approved a church law allowing UMC churches to leave with their church property if two-thirds of their congregation and regional governor body approved,” paving the way for the current mass exodus over the open acceptance of the LGBT agenda. American Medical Association Recommends Against Using BMI Due to Its ‘Racist’ History

The American Medical Association (AMA) voted last week to recommend against using body mass index (BMI) as the sole measure for healthy body weight partly due to its alleged “racist” past.

The organization claimed that BMI had caused “historical harm” and has been used for “racist exclusion,” according to the AMA’s website. They also said that relative body shape is important to consider “across race and ethnic groups, sexes, genders,” and that BMI has a history of being used in relation to eugenics, arguing that medical professionals should consider not using BMI as the sole measurement of healthy weight.

BMI is a measure of body health that uses height and weight to calculate a number that determines if an individual is underweight, a healthy weight, overweight or obese, according to WebMD.

Zelenskyy Again Says That American Kids Will Have to Die if Ukraine Loses War

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned in a television interview on Thursday that the United States could face the “collapse of NATO” or a direct conflict with Russia if Ukraine does not win the war.

Zelenskyy’s comments come less than four weeks before a NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, where support for Ukraine will be a central topic on the agenda for the military alliance. President Joe Biden is also expected to announce increased security guarantees for Ukraine ahead of the summit in July.

Speaking through an interpreter, Zelenskyy issued a stark warning to any American politician or 2024 presidential candidate who is skeptical about providing more aid to equip Kyiv in its war against Russia.

“Is he ready to go to war? To fight, to send his kids? Are they ready to die?” Zelenskyy asked. “Because anyway, they will have to do this if NATO gets involved.”

Former President Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner in the 2024 presidential election, would not commit to supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia, during a CNN town hall last month.
