Epstein ‘Pedophile Island’ Guest Donates Nearly $700K to Biden Campaign Fund

A joint fundraising committee raising dollars for President Biden’s re-election effort received a large donation from a tech billionaire revealed to have once traveled to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.

LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman dumped $699,600 into the Biden Victory Fund war chest, a joint fundraising committee authorized by the Biden campaign, in April, federal election records show.

The donation came one week before The Wall Street Journal reported Hoffman had visited the late serial sexual predator’s US Virgin Islands compound in 2014.

The close timing of the donation and the article was first reported by Fox News on Sunday.

Hoffman, 55, had reportedly planned on returning to the island with Epstein later in 2014 before traveling to Boston to raise funds for MIT on behalf of fellow island trip attendee Joi Ito, a then-media lab director at the institute. Many in the 2024 GOP Field Didn’t Fare Well Against the ‘Tucker Stress Test’

Tucker Carlson hosted a candidate forum at the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 14. Politico described it as the “Tucker stress test,” and many 2024 GOP candidates failed. The former Fox News host outright brutalized them. You could argue that Mr. Carlson was the grim reaper to many candidacies this week.

On the other hand, some folks, like Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, and Mike Pence, didn’t have a shot at winning the nomination anyway. Asa Hutchinson got cornered on transgender issues, which the former Arkansas governor felt wasn’t significant. Carlson reminded him that it’s one of the top cultural debates today.

Chris Christie did not attend but sealed his fate when he defended FBI Director Chris Wray this week. Trump couldn’t attend due to a scheduling conflict. But we know this is his race to lose. DeSantis is the only person who could overtake the former president, but his campaign has been in a neutral position for weeks.

Trump: First Term ‘Mistake’ Was Some of the People I Picked for My Cabinet

Former President Donald Trump said on this week’s broadcast of “Sunday Morning Futures” that the only mistake he made during his time in office was some of the people he picked to serve in his cabinet.

Anchor Maria Bartiromo asked, “Is there is anything you could look back on in 16 that you think maybe you want to do differently?”

Trump said, “The mistake would be people. I mean, I wouldn’t have put a guy like Bill Barr, and he was weak and pathetic. I wouldn’t have put Jeff Sessions. And there are some people that I wouldn’t have put in. You know, most people were good, but I had some people, we had Esper. I didn’t like him. He was incompetent. I thought we had other people I didn’t like.”

Bartiromo asked, “Why did you put them in the job then?” . . .

He added, “All of a sudden, I’m the president of the United States, and it’s like a different society. I was New York, and, you know, it was a different thing. So I didn’t know people. I became president. I’m riding down Pennsylvania Avenue with our first lady. I had 250 motorcycles. I had armies. I had everything. I said, do you believe it? We’re president. Take a look. This is wild, right? But I never was involved in that.” (Read more from “Trump: First Term ‘Mistake’ Was Some of the People I Picked for My Cabinet” HERE)

Donald Trump Dominates Turning Point Action’s GOP Primary Straw Poll at 87.5%

Attendees at a major conservative conference over the weekend overwhelmingly voted for former President Donald Trump in a Republican presidential primary straw poll.

According to the Trafalgar Group poll, attendees at the Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida, chose Trump at 87.5% among Republican candidates and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at only 4.3%.

DeSantis actually came in third behind businessman Perry Johnson, who garnered 7.8%, despite the conference happening in the governor’s state.

About 3,000 attendees responded to the poll, half of the approximate 6,000 total attendees. Half of the attendees were between the ages of 18-21, while the other half were of varying ages.

Trump attended the event on Saturday, delivering a lengthy speech that covered a number of different topics. Meanwhile, DeSantis did not attend the event in his home state. (Read more from “Donald Trump Dominates Turning Point Action’s GOP Primary Straw Poll at 87.5%” HERE)

Things Get HEATED as Tucker and Pence Clash Over Ukraine; Former Governor Spars With Tucker Carlson Over Child Gender Transitions

By The Blaze. Although Mike Pence pledges to be a Christian leader, he sure has a strange way of showing it when it comes to the treatment of Orthodox Christians in Ukraine.

Tucker Carlson pointed out that “the Zelenskyy government has raided convents, arrested priests, has effectively banned a denomination — a Christian denomination.”

Pence recently met with Zelenskyy, which begs the question — did he address this issue in their meeting?

“I’m wondering,” Tucker said, “if during that meeting, as a prominent Christian leader … you broached the question of his treatment of Christians within Ukraine.”

“I did raise the issue when we were there … with the leader of the Orthodox Church,” Pence responded. “He assured me that the Zelenskyy government in Ukraine was respecting religious liberty,” he continued.

Frustrated Ex-Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson Spars With Tucker Carlson Over Child Gender Transitions at Iowa Forum

By New York Post. Former Arkansas governor and 2024 presidential candidate Asa Hutchinson got a rough ride at an Iowa forum Friday while trying to defend his veto of a ban on gender procedures for minors, at one point asking forum moderator Tucker Carlson to change the subject.

The former Fox News host questioned Hutchinson during the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines about his 2021 rejection of a bill that barred hormone therapy, puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgeries for minors, which state lawmakers immediately overrode.

“What I believe in is that parents ought to raise their children. I believe that parents ought to be in control. And I also believe in the Constitution,” Hutchinson told Carlson. “I believe that God created two genders, and that there should not be any confusion on your gender. But if there is confusion, then parents ought to be the one that guides the children. That to me is an important fundamental principle.”

“Now obviously, you could take it too far,” the former governor went on. “And if there would have been a bill that said, ‘You should not ever have transgender surgery as a minor,’ I would sign that … because no parent should be able to consent to that permanent change.” . . .

“In the subsequent two years, I think we’ve learned that hormone therapy for prepubescent children is permanent,” Carlson said. “It changes the bone structure. It changes the brain of the child. A lot of people believe, including me, that it destroys the child’s life. But it is permanent. It’s not reversible.” (Read more from “Frustrated Ex-Arkansas Gov. Why Is the FBI Helping Ukraine Shut Up Americans?

I’ve had the unpleasant duty to remind people that the rhetoric about the Ukraine war as one between a free people living in a liberal democracy versus an autocracy is not really true. Ukraine has been embarked on an ultranationalist cultural project meant to transform the internal politics of Ukraine. It is doing so for reasons I find perfectly legible and, in some ways, understandable. But it is not a liberal or democratic undertaking. It is more like a combination of civil war and radical reconstruction.

Ukrainian nationalists want to reorient Ukraine to Western Europe, and to do so they are pursuing a project of cutting up the cultural and political ropes that keep them tied to Russia. This was the whole subject of Putin’s essay on Ukraine’s unity with Russia. While it was popularly portrayed as denying a Ukrainian identity at all, the essay argues that Ukraine can’t have an authentic identity that is also anti-Russian, given their shared historic, linguistic, and religious patrimony. . .

Ukraine began banning political parties in 2014, starting with the Communist Party. It then banned the Party of the Regions, the party that typically won most of its support from Ukraine’s eastern region, where Russians settled during the Soviet era. It has banned almost all successor parties to the Party of the Regions. It has passed a series of harsh language laws that require Ukrainian competency to hold office or to be appointed to civic positions. It banned opposition media. It banned Russian-language schooling. More recently it has banned the importation of more than a handful of Russian-language books. . .

But it wouldn’t be my business except for the fact that our assistance to Ukraine goes beyond military aid and includes paying for this kind of illiberal government. And now, I find out that our FBI is assisting Ukraine’s security service in censoring American citizens expressing their political views on American-founded tech platforms. Don’t tell me we’re not at war while treating my morning news reading to a foreign government’s wartime censorship. . .

I’ve long worried that getting deeply enmeshed in this blood-soaked area of the globe would begin to corrupt our politics, that it would tend to make our Congress more and more resemble their Rada. Hunter Biden was just the beginning of it. I would just like for one of these chest-pounding defenders of the liberal world order stand up for liberal institutions and liberal conversation for once. Trump to Host Screening of Anti-Child-Trafficking Film ‘Sound of Freedom’ at His Resort

Former President Donald Trump plans to host a screening of the massively successful anti-child-trafficking film “Sound of Freedom” at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, next week.

The film’s producer, Eduardo Verástegui, will join Trump at the July 19 screening along with star Jim Caviezel and Tim Ballard, the former Department of Homeland Security agent whose dogged pursuit of child traffickers is the subject of the film.

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller announced the screening on Steve Bannon’s show “War Room,” noting that “evangelical allies,” Bedminster members, and people from all around the country will be joining the former president to watch the film.

Trump’s team emphasized in a corresponding statement that the former president takes the matters raised in the film deadly seriously, having “signed an executive order directing federal law enforcement to prioritize demolishing the criminal organizations behind forced labor, sex trafficking, and child exploitation[,] … signed nine pieces of bipartisan legislation to combat human trafficking, both domestically and internationally, approved the largest DOJ grant package in history to combat human trafficking, and doubled the amount of DOJ funding to combat human trafficking.” (Read more from “Trump to Host Screening of Anti-Child-Trafficking Film ‘Sound of Freedom’ at His Resort” HERE)

Trump Lays Blame on Chris Christie for Hiring of Christopher Wray as FBI Director

Former President Donald Trump blamed former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for appointing Christopher Wray as FBI director.

In an excerpt from an interview of Trump with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that will air on Sunday, Trump admitted that it was a mistake hiring the FBI director but clarified that he only did so on the strong urging of Christie.

“Yeah, sadly. It probably was,” Trump answered when asked if hiring Wray was a mistake. “It was recommended very strongly by Chris Christie, who was, you know, a sad case. I mean, I watch him. He’s a sad case.” . . .

“Well, I know. And you know how he’s doing. He’s at 1%, and he probably won’t even make the debate stage. Now, Chris is a … he’s sad. I mean, I watched him the other day. He said I built 47 miles of wall. I’ve built over 500 miles of wall. And that’s homeland security statements. I had the safest border in the history of our country. I built massive miles of wall and was going to put up another 200 miles. Everything was built. They just had to erect [it],” Trump continued. Smoking Gun? 2015 Emails From Laptop Reveal ‘Ultimate Purpose’ of Hunter Biden’s Connection to Burisma

A November 2015 email exchange between Hunter Biden and business partners Devon Archer and Eric Schwerin and Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi has suddenly taken on greater significance. The email chain, viewed in the context of recently discovered evidence in the House Oversight Committee’s exhaustive investigation into the Biden family’s overseas influence-peddling business, fits into the GOP’s narrative like Cinderella’s foot into the glass slipper. The messages, first reported by the New York Post in October 2020 and verified by Fox News Digital this week, have set off alarm bells among Republican lawmakers.

The emails reveal the “ultimate purpose” of Burisma’s cushy job offer to Hunter Biden: To end “any cases/pursuits against Nikolay.” (Pozharskyi refers to Burisma’s founder and then-president, Mykola Zlochevsky, as “Nikolay.”)

More to the point, the email explains why then-Vice President Joe Biden traveled to Ukraine the following month to deliver his despicable ultimatum to then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko: Either fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma or forgo $1 billion in U.S. aid.

Context is key. Hunter Biden had connected Burisma to Washington, D.C., lobbying firm Blue Star Strategies. Blue Star was tasked with heading off any federal probes into Zlochevsky, who was under investigation for corruption at the time.

On Nov. 2, 2015, Pozharskyi emailed Hunter Biden, Archer, and Schwerin to express his concern about a “revised proposal, contract, and initial invoice [from Blue Star]” he was looking over. He had noticed “that the suggested scope of work is largely lacking concrete tangible results that we set out to achieve in the first place. … Also, it doesn’t offer any names of top U.S. officials here in Ukraine (for instance, U.S. Ambassador) or Ukrainian officials (the President of Ukraine, chief of staff, Prosecutor General) as key targets for improving Nikolay’s case and his situation in Ukraine.” (Read more from “Smoking Gun? 2015 Emails From Laptop Reveal ‘Ultimate Purpose’ of Hunter Biden’s Connection to Burisma” HERE)

Appeals Court Temporarily Blocks Injunction Against Biden Admin’s Censorship Efforts With Big Tech

A federal appeals court issued a temporary stay on a judge’s injunction barring federal officials from communicating with social media companies for the purposes of censoring protected speech on Friday.

Western District of Louisiana Judge Terry A. Doughty previously denied the Biden administration’s request for an emergency order pausing his injunction on July 10. In an order Friday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an administrative stay on the injunction “until further orders” of the court.

Doughty had previously issued a preliminary injunction barring the Biden administration from communicating with social media companies to censor protected speech on July 4.

The panel of judges who hear the case for arguments on the merits will later consider the administration’s motion for a longer stay, according to the order.
