Trump Jokes He Needs ‘One More Indictment’ to Win Election

By Daily Caller. Former President Donald Trump joked Friday that he would win the 2024 election if he was hit with “one more indictment” during a speech before a dinner held by the Alabama Republican Party.

Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges during his Thursday arraignment after Special Counsel Jack Smith secured a four-count indictment of Trump relating to his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election after Smith previously secured a 37-count indictment against Trump in June based on an investigation into allegations surrounding classified documents.

“They wanted to wait, and they did wait,” Trump said. “They waited right to the middle of an election and they waited until I became the dominant force in the polls because we’re dominating everybody, including Biden in the polls, and then they filed `em all, every one of of all that essentially one time, including local DA’s and AGs that even other cases right in the middle of the campaign, where we’re leading by so much and that’s not going to make any impact, because every time they file an indictment, we go way up in the polls. We need one more indictment to close out this election, one more indictment and this election is closed out. Nobody has even a chance.” (Read more from “Trump Jokes He Needs ‘One More Indictment’ to Win Election” HERE)

WSJ Columnist Points Out the Obvious Flaw in Jack Smith’s J6 Indictment Against Trump

By Townhall. Special Counsel Jack Smith has indicted Donald Trump over January 6 on a slew of charges that appear to encroach on free speech rights. The latest indictment seems to draw on what law professor Jonathan Turley warned about concerning Mr. Smith’s interpretation of criminal statutes: he stretches them into illogical territory. It’s why Smith’s past conviction of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell was tossed out unanimously by the Supreme Court. This Trump indictment could suffer a similar fate.

The talking heads on CNN and MSNBC are loaded with left-wing legal clowns who fail to see that Smith’s charges set a precedent where everyone on the Hill would be jailed. Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberley Strassel took a katana to the reasoning behind the indictment, noting that Barack Obama would have been jailed under the Jack Smith protocol of ‘saying things that I don’t like, so I’ll draw up federal charges’ paradigm:

That’s the biggest problem with Mr. Smith’s latest broadside against Donald Trump, on top of its untested legal theories and evidence of a Justice Department double standard. As former Attorney General William Barr told CNN on Wednesday, “there were reasons not to bring” the case, and among them is “the slippery slope of criminalizing legitimate political activity.”

Take Mr. Trump out of the equation and consider more broadly what even the New York Times calls Mr. Smith’s “novel approach.” A politician can lie to the public, Mr. Smith concedes. Yet if that politician is advised by others that his comments are untruthful and nonetheless uses them to justify acts that undermine government “function,” he is guilty of a conspiracy to defraud the country. Dishonest politicians who act on dubious legal claims? There aren’t enough prisons to hold them all.

‘Insults Are So Phony’: DeSantis Blasts Trump’s ‘Conduct,’ Record to New Hampshire Voters

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis expressed exasperation at former President Donald Trump’s insults during a Friday town hall in New Hampshire.

The moderator asked DeSantis how he would respond if Trump began to attack and demean him during a debate. DeSantis argued that he believes name-calling is beneath the dignity of the Oval Office. (RELATED: Joe Rogan Says Ron DeSantis Is ‘F*cking’ Up His Florida Record, ‘Can’t Beat’ Trump)

“So here’s the thing. These insults are so phony. These insults are juvenile. That is not the way a great nation should be conducting itself. That is not the way the president of the United States should be conducting himself.”

He argued that he would rather spend time debating “the issues” than be derailed into a series of personal attacks. (Read more from “‘Insults Are So Phony’: DeSantis Blasts Trump’s ‘Conduct,’ Record to New Hampshire Voters” HERE)

The Ukrainian Prosecutor Joe Biden Had Fired Is Speaking Out (VIDEO)

Former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin is speaking out and revealing his side of the story after then Vice President Joe Biden demanded he be fired back in 2016.

At the time of his firing, Shokin was investigating corruption at Ukrainian gas company Burisma — the same company that was paying Hunter Biden $80,000 per month to sit on the board.

During closed door testimony in front of the House Oversight Committee earlier this week, Hunter Biden’s former business partner — Devon Archer — said he believed Burisma would have gone under if not for the Biden “brand” — including Joe Biden — being attached to the company.

“My only thought is that I think Burisma would have gone out of business if it didn’t have the brand attached to it,” Archer said. (Read more from “The Ukrainian Prosecutor Joe Biden Had Fired Is Speaking Out (VIDEO)” HERE)

Federal Court Upholds Law Eliminating Religious Exemptions for Childhood Vaccines

A Connecticut law eliminating religious exemptions for childhood vaccines is constitutional and legal, according to a federal appeals court.

In a Friday ruling, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit dismissed the claim that refusal to accept religious exemptions for vaccinations was unconstitutional.

“[I]t is not enough for a law to simply affect religious practice; the law or the process of its enactment must demonstrate ‘hostility’ to religion,” stated the court. “[E]xempting a student from the vaccination requirement because of a medical condition and exempting a student who declines to be vaccinated for religious reasons are not comparable in relation to the State’s interest.”

The court also said that the accommodations for religious objectors nullified arguments that the law was hostile to religion, citing a provision in the law allowing children already enrolled in K-12 to maintain their religious exemptions.

The ruling explained that the Connecticut legislature introduced the bill in 2021 to address a one percent rise in child religious exemptions during the preceding seven years. The court also noted that the proposed exemption elimination received overwhelming public opposition (95 percent), with the supportive minority representing various public health agencies and associations. Trump Calls on Supreme Court to ‘Intercede’ in Legal Battles

Former President Donald Trump on Friday called on the Supreme Court to “intercede” in his mounting legal battles.

Trump excoriated his political enemies on social media one day after he pleaded not guilty to federal changes in special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into the January 6 Capitol riot and 2020 election interference.

“CRAZY! My political opponent has hit me with a barrage of weak lawsuits, including D.A., A.G., and others, which require massive amounts of my time & money to adjudicate,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform Friday morning.

Trump added that resources that could have gone to advertisements and rallies will now have to be spent fighting the “Radical Left Thugs” in courts across the country. . .

“It is Election Interference, & the Supreme Court must intercede. MAGA!” Trump wrote. (Read more from “Trump Calls on Supreme Court to ‘Intercede’ in Legal Battles” HERE)

Bidenomics! Gas Stove Crackdown Would Save Americans 9 Cents per Month

Bidenomics, baby! That’s the term the Biden administration is “quite proud” of, but that nobody is able to define. Or, perhaps they are able to explain it, but avoid providing particulars about what it means because doing so would pop any illusion that the president’s economic and “cost-saving” policies are working.

For example, remember that gas stove crackdown that the Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm has long touted as being necessary to save energy and money for the American people? Well, the Department of Energy recently revised its expectations for exactly how much the average American would save under new rules, which would effectively ban nearly 50% of gas stoves off the market.

Under “Bidenomics,” consumers could save nine cents a month by ditching their gas stoves. That means you would save just shy of $11 over the next decade.

Why the change?

Well, according to the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), the professionals at DOE had their initial data wrong. (Read more from “Bidenomics! Gas Stove Crackdown Would Save Americans 9 Cents per Month” HERE)

‘Of Course!’ Former Trump Advisor Stephen Miller Says Watergate Was ‘Obviously’ a ‘Deep State Coup Against Richard Nixon’ (VIDEO)

. . .The exchange happened during the Friday edition of The Benny Show where host Benny Johnson asked Miller how reform could take place at the Department of Justice in light of the third indictment of Trump. A clip from the interview began circulating Twitter via Jason Campbell.

JOHNSON: I think the atmosphere, perhaps Stephen, is right for true, true reform here at the DOJ. Sir, how do you go about doing it?

MILLER: Well, the first and most important thing is to reestablish what is known as the unitary executive. So this goes back to the Watergate era. And now we obviously know, looking back on it now, of course, that that was a deep state coup against Richard Nixon.

MILLER: But this was back to the Watergate era in which, by the way, the cost of that just that we’re talking about measuring this in human lives, is that just I know it is a tangent, but to understand the consequence of the deep state thinking they run policy. Getting rid of Nixon, who was pursuing an honorable peace and a durable peace in Vietnam, led to the complete collapse of Nixon’s Vietnam strategy after he left office.

‘His Heart Just Stopped’: Family Mourns Rookie Officer Who Died Suddenly While Exercising (VIDEO)

A family and a New Jersey community are grieving the loss of a young policeman who died of cardiac arrest on July 23.

Twenty-three-year-old Sam Irvin collapsed as he ran sprints outside at his fiancé’s family’s farm in Columbus, Fox 29 reported Thursday, noting he had an enlarged heart, which was revealed in the autopsy.

“His heart just stopped, and they said it happened within seconds, so he didn’t feel pain,” his fiancé, Mackenzie Santucci, explained, adding it was an extremely traumatic day.

On July 25, the Mansfield Township Police Department announced the tragic loss, noting, “Sam was not only a colleague, he was a brother and a friend.”

“It is difficult to write this because we are all at a loss for words. We are trying our hardest to honor him in the best way we can, but nothing we do will amount to the Man, Expectant Father, Fiancé, Brother, Son, and Friend that Samuel Irvin was,” the department said. Crowd Overwhelms New York City’s Union Square, Tosses Chairs, Climbs on Vehicles (VIDEO)

Police in New York City are struggling to control a crowd of thousands of people who gathered in Manhattan’s Union Square for an internet personality’s supposed videogame console giveaway that got out of hand.

Aerial TV news footage Friday showed a surging, tightly packed crowd climbing on vehicles, hurling chairs, throwing punches and scaling structures in the park. Shouting teenagers swung objects at car windows and ran through the streets.

Traffic was blocked by the crowd on several streets. A growing number of police officers could be seen trying to control the gathering. Some people climbed on top of a moving vehicle, falling off as it sped away. Others pounded on the side of a city bus. People could be seen climbing on top of another bus and jumping up and down.
