The U.S. Is Undergoing a Massive Population Shift and It’s Bad News for Dems

Democrat-run states are still losing population, new Census Bureau data reveal, a development that could have electoral implications when the government reapportions congressional districts in 2030.

Oregon, California, Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania, all states with Democratic governors and Democrat-controlled state legislatures, lost between 0.01% and 0.52% of their population between July 2022 and July 2023, according to the Census Bureau. Left-leaning states experienced similar declines in the lead-up to the 2020 Census, which led to them losing seats in the House of Representatives and votes in the Electoral College, an outcome that could occur again in 2030 if current trends persist.

“On its face the trends look pretty bad for Democrats” as it relates to House reapportionment, Cook Political Report’s Dave Wasserman told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“But, it’s also premature to extrapolate trends from the last three years on to the next seven years,” he qualified. “In all likelihood we will see a continued shift from California, New York, Illinois and Pennsylvania to the sunbelt and more Republican-leaning states, however, the magnitude of that shift is what’s up in the air.”

Son Of Afghan Migrants Arrested In Colorado, Charged With Trying To Join ISIS: Report

The son of Afghan migrants was arrested by federal law enforcement officials this week for allegedly trying to board a flight to the Middle East so he could join the Islamic State (ISIS), a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO).

Humzah Mashkoor, 18, from Colorado, was arrested on Monday at Denver International Airport before he was able to get on a flight headed to “to the United Arab Emirates, where he intended to stay until he continued on to either Afghanistan or Syria to serve as a fighter for ISIS,” the Department of Justice said in a statement.

He was charged with attempting to provide material support to an FTO.

Authorities began monitoring Mashkoor in November 2021 after he reportedly expressed support online for ISIS and began to use social media to connect with ISIS supporters, according to Denver7 News.

The following year, he began communicating with multiple undercover FBI agents who were posing as supporters of the terrorist organization and expressed his “intent to join ISIS as a fighter, provide money to the organization and recruit other supporters,” the report said. North Korea: We’re Prepared to Nuke America

Communist dictator of North Korea Kim Jong-un declared through state media on Wednesday that the launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) was necessary to “clearly show what action the DPRK [North Korea] has been prepared and what option the DPRK would take when Washington makes a wrong decision against it.”

Kim’s remarks were paraphrased in an article by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), the flagship propaganda outlet of the North Korean regime. News outlets and media not controlled by the state are illegal in North Korea.

In the article, KCNA confirmed that the launch of a long-range missile into the East Sea (or Sea of Japan) on Monday was an ICBM test, naming the missile in question as the “Hwasong-18,” North Korea’s latest publicly known model. Pyongyang debuted the Hwasong-18 in July and claimed that it could accurately hit a target anywhere in the continental United States with a nuclear payload.

North Korea launched the ICBM on the same day that it boasted of a visit by Deputy Foreign Minister Pak Myong Ho to Beijing, where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi allegedly greeted him warmly and vowed that the Chinese Communist Party would continue to back the neighboring rogue regime. His ceremony took place at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida, as noted by the social media slideshow he shared Wednesday night.

“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” the 70-year-old star captioned the post.

“No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”

Democracy Under Attack: Colorado Supreme Court Disqualifies Trump From 2024 Ballot; GOP Candidate: I Will Withdraw from State Primary if Trump Not Allowed on Ballot

By Breitbart. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled Tuesday in a 4-3 opinion that the Constitution’s “Insurrection Clause” prohibits former President Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot for the presidency in 2024.

“The court found by clear and convincing evidence that President Trump engaged in insurrection as those terms are used in Section Three” of the Fourteenth Amendment, the ruling reads.

The provocative ruling partially reverses a prior ruling from Colorado District Court Judge Sarah Wallace, who ruled in November that Trump is not an officer of the United States as defined by the Fourteenth Amendment and that the Amendment therefore cannot be used to disqualify him from appearing on the Colorado primary ballot.

In his dissent, Chief Justice Boatright wrote, “Dismissal is particularly appropriate here because the Electors brought their challenge without a determination from a proceeding (e.g., a prosecution for an insurrection-related offense) with more rigorous procedures to ensure adequate due process.”

Vivek Ramaswamy on Colorado Ruling: I Will Withdraw from State Primary if Trump Not Allowed on Ballot

By Breitbart. Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has pledged to withdraw from the Colorado state primary in response to the recent ruling that bars former President Trump from being on the ballot.

As Breitbart News reported on Tuesday, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled “in a 4-3 opinion that the Constitution’s ‘Insurrection Clause’ prohibits former President Donald Trump from appearing on the ballot for the presidency in 2024.”

“The court found by clear and convincing evidence that President Trump engaged in insurrection as those terms are used in Section Three” of the Fourteenth Amendment, the ruling read.

The ruling will partially reverse a previous ruling from Colorado District Court Judge Sarah Wallace, who ruled in November that the Fourteenth Amendment would not apply in the case of former President Trump being that he is not an officer of the United States as was defined at the time of the amendment’s ratification following the Civil War.

In his statement released on X, Ramaswamy called the ruling a true “attack on democracy,” characterizing it as “a cabal of Democrat judges” seeking to bar the former president from the 2024 election.

Young Woman Hostage From Viral Video Likely Taken by Gaza Civilians, Not Hamas: Report

According to a new report, Noa Argamani, whose abduction in the October 7 Hamas massacre of 1200 Israelis was videotaped and went viral around the world, was most likely kidnapped not by Hamas terrorists but instead by Palestinian civilians who followed the terrorists into Israel.

Argamani, 25, a data science engineering student, was carted away from the NOVA music festival on a motorcycle, terrified, with her hands outstretched to reach for help.

“NBC News has uncovered information indicating she may not have been kidnapped by Hamas, but was instead most likely abducted by a mob of Gazans that swept into Israel hours after the initial attack,” NBC News reported on Tuesday. Trump Campaign Responds to Colorado’s Latest Anti-Democratic Ballot Move

Although many states have tried to do so by citing a portion of the 14th Amendment that speaks to insurrectionists, Colorado is the first to actually do so. The Trump campaign quickly responded via a statement from spokesperson Steven Cheung, which indicated they “will swiftly file an appeal to the United States Supreme Court and a concurrent request for a stay of this deeply undemocratic decision.”

Cheung’s statement began by pointing out the statement wasn’t exactly shocking. “Unsurprisingly, the all-Democrat appointed Colorado Supreme Court has ruled against President Trump, supporting a Soros-funded, left-wing group’s scheme to interfere in an election on behalf of Crooked Joe Biden by removing President Trump’s name from the ballot and eliminating the rights of Colorado voters to vote for the candidate of their choice,” it read.

The statement continued by speaking to what the campaign is certain is the motivation here, as Trump looks likely to win not only the Republican nomination, but the general election. “Democrat Party leaders are in a state of paranoia over the growing, dominant lead President Trump has amassed in the polls. They have lost faith in the failed Biden presidency and are now doing everything they can to stop the American voters from throwing them out of office next November,” it read.

According to RealClearPolitics (RCP), Trump has a lead of +50.8 in the Republican primary and a lead of +3.0 in the general election against President Joe Biden for a hypothetical rematch of 2020.

Colorado GOP Threatens Primary Cancellation Over Trump Ballot Removal

The Colorado Republican Party issued a stern warning on Tuesday night, asserting that if former President Donald Trump were excluded from the state’s 2024 presidential primary ballot, the party would cancel the primary altogether. This announcement came in response to a pivotal decision by the Colorado Supreme Court, which ruled 4-3 to remove Trump from the ballot, citing his alleged inflated involvement in the January 6, 2021 insurrection.

The court’s ruling, temporarily placed on hold until January 4 pending appeal, declared that Trump’s actions on January 6 amounted to an insurrection, disqualifying him from holding the office of President under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. Consequently, the court asserted that listing Trump as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot would be a violation of the Election Code.

In a response Tuesday night, the Colorado Republican Party stated, “We will withdraw from the Primary as a Party and convert to a pure caucus system if this is allowed to stand.”

The Colorado Supreme Court justified its decision by citing “substantial evidence” of a concerted and public use of force or threat of force on January 6, hindering the peaceful transfer of power and constituting an insurrection. In response, 2024 GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has vowed to withdraw from Colorado’s state primary if former President Donald Trump is removed.

The Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling is an attack on democracy that will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for the state’s electoral process.

Senator Blocks Air Force Colonel’s Promotion Over ‘Divisive’ Woke Policies

When the U.S. Senate unanimously approved 425 military promotions earlier this month, one person was missing from the list: Col. Ben Jonsson, the Air Force officer who espoused controversial views on race and diversity.

Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., stepped in to hold Jonsson’s ascension to brigadier general after a 10-month blockade of all military promotions by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala. When fellow Republicans threatened to join Democrats to circumvent Tuberville by changing Senate rules, the senator withdrew his objection.

As a result, military officers who were singled out for their “woke” views on race, sexuality, and COVID-19 had their promotions swiftly approved Dec. 5—except for Jonsson and about a dozen other high-ranking generals. Senators then voted Thursday to give the promoted military officers retroactive pay for the time they waited.

The Daily Signal first reported in August on Jonsson’s views on diversity, equity, and inclusion—and his endorsement of a book on critical race theory. The story prompted The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project to request and obtain a Defense Department “climate” assessment of during Jonsson’s leadership of MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. The assessment included blistering criticism of Jonsson from his subordinates at MacDill, where he served as commander from 2020 to 2022.
