Man Sets Himself Ablaze Outside Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C.

In a shocking turn of events on Sunday, a man set himself on fire in front of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the distressing scene at the 3500 block of International Drive, NW, around 1 p.m. ET. The incident prompted collaboration between MPD and the U.S. Secret Service after an individual self-immolated in front of the embassy.

According to MPD’s official statement on Twitter, an adult male was swiftly transported to a local hospital in critical condition by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The MPD is now working in conjunction with the Secret Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to thoroughly investigate the incident.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams have been deployed to the scene, responding to a suspicious vehicle that may be linked to the individual. The situation remains dynamic, and the investigation is ongoing.

The Israeli Embassy released a statement to The Washington Examiner, confirming the incident. “On Sunday, 2/25, at around 1 PM, a man set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The man is unknown. No Embassy staff were injured and are safe.”

While officials have not immediately commented on the motive behind this disturbing act, it comes at a time when Israel is grappling with heightened tensions. The nation is currently engaged in conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, responding to terrorist attacks in October that claimed an estimated 1,200 lives on Israeli soil.

Notably, there has been friction between the Biden administration and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concerning plans for an offensive in Gaza’s southern city of Rafah. This area has become a focal point as more than half of the strip’s 2.3 million population has gathered there during the ongoing conflict.

Pundit: Nikki Haley Is Getting Ready to Run as an Independent

Former Bush speechwriter Ari Fleischer said that Nikki Haley’s speech following a second-place finish in the South Carolina primary sounded like a “No Labels speech” to him.

ARI FLEISCHER: I’ve been around a lot of these candidate speeches, I’ve written a few. That was a “No Labels” speech tonight by Nikki Haley. That was a speech, when she says, “No matter what I am running.” When she trashes Joe Biden, trashes Donald Trump, she is setting herself up to run down the middle.

And look what happened in South Carolina tonight, she won according to the Fox voter analysis independent voters by 19 percentage points. That is only 7% of the people who voted in the primary which is why she got her clock cleaned in the primary by Donald Trump. But when you look at independent voters, she sees a huge group out there. And when you look at the country independent voters are 43% of the country, Republicans are 27%, Democrats are 27%.

So she is looking ahead and seeing a swath down the middle that does not like Biden, does not like Trump. I can just feel it, I watched it, my reaction was immediate, she is declaring. Why wouldn’t she drop out of the race? She sees herself on the runway to something new. When you see yourself on the runway, you don’t pull your plane off the runway, you get ready to take off.

Filing: Fani Willis & Nathan Wade Called Each Other 2,000 Times in 2021 — Before They Swore Romance Began; Latest Evidence Against Fani Willis Could Get Her Disbarred, Land Her In Jail, Legal Experts Say

By Breitbart. A bombshell court filing from former President Donald Trump’s legal team says cell phone data shows Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis and Nathan Wade exchanged over 2,000 phone calls in the first 11 months of 2021 — an average of six calls per day before they began a romantic relationship, according to the pair’s under-oath testimony.

Trump’s lawyers say they subpoenaed AT&T for Wade’s phone records, including location data, in their ongoing battle to disqualify Willis from prosecuting their client. Willis, who became Fulton County’s DA in 2021, has charged Trump and 18 other defendants for an alleged conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election in her state — and infamously made the former president turn himself in for a mugshot photo.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which first revealed the filing, an affidavit from investigator Charles Mittelstadt “revealed over 2,000 voice calls and just under 12,000 text messages exchanged over the 11-month period [January to November] in 2021,” with “a prevalence of calls made in the evening hours. ”

The date range of January 1 to November 30 in 2021 contains 333 days. Two thousand phone calls over that period would average out to 6.006 calls per day. Those 12,000 texts would average out to about 36 each day in the same timeframe.

The filing also uses location data to allege Wade likely came to Willis’s home over 30 times in this time frame, contradicting his testimony that he was there a maximum of ten times. It alleges several incidents where Wade’s phone was present in this location through the night and only returned to his home in the early morning. Latest Evidence Against Fani Willis Could Get Her Disbarred, Land Her In Jail, Legal Experts Say

By Daily Caller. Special prosecutor Nathan Wade’s cell phone data suggests he and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis may have lied on the witness stand, opening them up to greater consequences than disqualification from the case against former President Donald Trump, legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Phone records contained in a Friday court filing by Trump’s attorney appeared to contradict Wade’s testimony that he visited Willis’ condo less than 10 times, showing “a minimum of 35 occasions” where his phone was in her neighborhood for an extended time, and appears to undermine Willis’ claim that he never spent the night. If they are found to have lied under oath, Willis and Wade could face charges and potential disbarment, legal experts told the DCNF.

The data, which revealed “over 2000 voice calls and just under 12,000 text messages” between the pair in 2021, also further calls into question the timeline of their relationship, which they have insisted began in 2022, after Wade’s contract started.

Atlanta-based defense attorney Andrew Fleischman told the DCNF that the “cell phone location data is powerful circumstantial evidence of a close personal relationship before 2022, as are the sheer number of texts and phone calls exchanged.” (Read more from “Filing: Fani Willis & Nathan Wade Called Each Other 2,000 Times in 2021 — Before They Say Romance Began” HERE)

Rep. Matt Gaetz Boasts About Turning Congress Into a ‘Living Hell’ for Republicans Who ‘Dress up Like Democrats in Drag’

Rep. Matt Gaetz boasted Friday about turning Congress into a “living hell” for “swamp rat” Republicans that act “like Democrats in drag” during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

“In Congress, I’m often excoriated, smeared, derided for exposing a corrupt system that has been weaponized against we the people,” the Florida Republican said.

“I have made it a living hell for the swamp rats, and many of them are retiring now.”

Gaez went on to revel in a report suggesting that his successful push to oust Kevin McCarthy from his House speakership position last October has contributed to a growing number of congressional Republicans deciding to retire early rather than seek re-election in 2024.

“You’re welcome,” he told the hard-line conservative crowd. (Read more from “Rep. Matt Gaetz Boasts About Turning Congress Into a ‘Living Hell’ for Republicans Who ‘Dress up Like Democrats in Drag’” HERE)

NRA Found Liable in Corruption Case as Jury Says Longtime Leader Wayne Lapierre Should Repay $4.3 Million

A jury in a lawsuit brought by the New York Attorney General’s Office against the National Rifle Association found Friday that the gun rights group mismanaged charitable funds when it failed to stop top executives — including longtime leader Wayne LaPierre — from diverting millions of dollars for lavish personal trips, no-show contracts and other questionable expenditures.

In its verdict, the jury found LaPierre should pay the powerful gun rights group $4.3 million in damages for mismanagement and misspending charitable funds. The panel also found the group’s former CFO Wilson Phillips should pay back $2 million for breaching his fiduciary duties as an executive.

Shortly after the verdict was read, New York Attorney General Letitia James called the jury’s decision against the powerful National Rifle Association and its top executives, a “major victory” in a post on X.

“In a major victory, my office won our case against the NRA and its senior leadership for years of corruption and greed,” James said. “Wayne LaPierre and a senior executive at the NRA must pay $6.35 million for abusing the system and breaking our laws.” (Read more from “NRA Found Liable in Corruption Case as Jury Says Longtime Leader Wayne Lapierre Should Repay $4.3 Million” HERE)

WATCH: El Salvador President Urges U.S. To Abandon Globalism, Warns of ‘Dark Forces’ Taking Over America

In a bold and provocative statement, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele has called on the United States to break free from the chains of globalism, asserting that “dark forces” are gaining control over the nation. Bukele’s appeal comes as a challenge to the prevailing narrative, urging Americans to unapologetically resist influences that advocate for globalism:

“If you want globalism to die here too, you must be willing to unapologetically fight against everything and everyone that stands for it. Fight for your freedoms, fight for your rights.”

“These dark forces are already taking over your country. You may not see it yet, but it’s already happening. You don’t see it as clearly because people are designed to see linear changes, not exponential ones.”

“People become complacent and they don’t realize how bad things are getting until it’s too late.”

Man Arrested for Murder of Nursing Student Was Illegal Alien: Report

Police arrested a non-U.S. citizen male in the murder of 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley, and sources inside the Department of Homeland Security say the illegal immigrant was known by law enforcement, according to reports.

During a Friday evening press conference, the local police chief said that 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra has been charged with “malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call and concealing the death of another.”

“He lives here in Athens, but is not a U.S. citizen,” Clark stated, adding that a search warrant has been executed for Ibarra’s apartment, and that evidence was still being collected.

NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley reported on Friday night that that “multiple DHS sources” say that Ibarra is in the United States illegally from Venezuela, and further that he was arrested late last year in New York City but released back into the country.

“CBP documents show he crossed in September of 2022 into El Paso, Texas[,] and was released due to lack of detention space,” Bradley reported. “The 26 year old from Venezuela was arrested today by ICE-ERO Atlanta.”

Trump Attorneys Challenge Jack Smith’s Legitimacy, Seek Dismissal of Classified Documents Case

Attorneys representing former President Donald Trump filed motions urging the dismissal of a federal indictment led by Special Counsel Jack Smith regarding Trump’s handling of classified documents. Trump was facing 40 counts in the Southern District of Florida, accusing him of unlawfully retaining national defense information and obstructing a federal probe into the matter.

One motion contended that Jack Smith’s appointment was unlawful under the Appointments Clause and the Appropriations Clause. The defense argued that the Attorney General, Merrick Garland, had exceeded his authority by appointing Smith without Senate confirmation, questioning Smith’s legitimacy to prosecute the case. The defense cited a potential threat to the rule of law.

Additionally, Trump’s attorneys challenged the absence of a statute establishing the Office of Special Counsel, asserting that Smith’s appointment was invalid due to the lack of a legal framework for his role. They argued that the investigation’s funding violated The Appropriations Clause, claiming it was an unauthorized and politically motivated prosecution.

The second motion contended that Trump’s possession of classified documents at his Mar-A-Lago home was not unauthorized under the Presidential Records Act (PRA). Trump’s legal team argued that the PRA granted him “unreviewable discretion” to designate records as personal, asserting that the exclusive remedy for records collection efforts by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) was civil in nature, precluding criminal investigations.

These legal challenges raised crucial questions about the legitimacy of the Special Counsel’s role and the funding of the investigation, providing an even more complex backdrop to the case.

Donald Trump Calls on Alabama Legislature to Find Way to Preserve IVF: GOP Sides with the ‘Miracle of Life’

Former President Donald Trump is calling on the Alabama Legislature to find a way to preserve in vitro fertilization (IVF) in Alabama following the Alabama Supreme Court ruling last week that frozen embryos are considered unborn children, asserting that the “Republican Party should always be on the side of the Miracle of Life.”

“Under my leadership, the Republican Party will always support the creation of strong, thriving, healthy American families. We want to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, not harder!” Trump said in a Truth Social post on Friday.

“That includes supporting the availability of fertility treatments like IVF in every State in America,” he continued.

“Like the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of Americans, including the VAST MAJORITY of Republicans, Conservatives, Christians, and Pro-Life Americans, I strongly support the availability of IVF for couples who are trying to have a precious baby,” Trump said, calling on the Alabama Legislature to “act quickly to find an immediate solution to preserve the availability of IVF in Alabama.”

“The Republican Party should always be on the side of the Miracle of Life – and the side of Mothers, Fathers, and their Beautiful Babies. IVF is an important part of that, and our Great Republican Party will always be with you, in your quest, for the ULTIMATE JOY IN LIFE!” Trump added:

Biden Told Russian Oligarch, Ex-Moscow Mayor to ‘Be Good to My Boy’ During Phone Call While VP

Then-Vice President Joe Biden allegedly told Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina and her husband, ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, to “be good to my boy” during a 2014 speaker phone conversation, according to a former Hunter Biden business associate who was interviewed Friday in the House impeachment inquiry.

Jason Galanis, a federal inmate who defrauded an American Indian tribe, said from his Alabama prison that on May 4, 2014, the sitting vice president called into a party in southern Brooklyn featuring his son, business partner Devon Archer and the Russian power couple.

“I was present when Hunter Biden called his father on a cell phone and put the call on speaker. Present for the call were Yelena Baturina, an investor in Rosemont projects, her husband Yuri Luzhkov, the former mayor of Moscow, and Devon Archer,” Galanis told congressional staff in testimony obtained by The Post.

“During the May 4th party, we were told to go to an area of the restaurant to gather because Hunter was going to call his father. Hunter called his father, said hello and ‘hold on, Pops,’ then put the call on speakerphone and said, ‘I am here with our friends I told you were coming to town, and we wanted to say hello.’

“The vice president said ‘hello’ and some pleasantries of ‘Hope you had safe travels,’ and then seemed like he wanted to bring the call to an end by saying, ‘OK then, you be good to my boy.’ (Read more from “Biden Told Russian Oligarch, Ex-Moscow Mayor to ‘Be Good to My Boy’ During Phone Call While VP” HERE)
