U.S. Vetoes UN Resolution for Gaza to Be Recognized as State

The United States vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution to recognize Gaza as a state.

The 15-member council voted Thursday on a draft of a resolution that would recommend that the 193-member U.N. General Assembly recognize Gaza as a state and admit Gaza to the U.N. Twelve nations voted in favor of the resolution, two nations abstained, and one, the United States, voted against.

“It remains the U.S. view that the most expeditious path toward statehood for the Palestinian people is through direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority with the support of the United States and other partners,” State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said during a news briefing.

He added that a U.N. resolution would not achieve statehood for Gaza as it intends.

The U.N. Security Council needs nine votes for a resolution to pass, unless one permanent member of the council, such as the U.S., votes against it and it is immediately abandoned. (Read more from “U.S. Vetoes UN Resolution for Gaza to Be Recognized as State” HERE)

Two Planes Nearly Collide at DC’s Reagan National Airport

A near collision between two aircraft was avoided earlier Thursday at Washington, D.C.’s Reagan National Airport.

JetBlue and Southwest Airlines airplanes avoided each other by only 400 feet. Air traffic control recordings show controllers yelling at the JetBlue flight to stop its takeoff as the Southwest flight began taxiing on the runway.

“An air traffic controller instructed Southwest Airlines Flight 2937 to cross Runway 4 at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport while JetBlue Flight 1554 was starting its takeoff roll on the same runway,” the Federal Aviation Administration told CNN. The FAA is investigating the situation.

“JetBlue 1554, stop! 1554, stop!” the tower controller said.

“2937, stop!” the ground controller said. (Read more from “Two Planes Nearly Collide at DC’s Reagan National Airport” HERE)

‘Squad’ Member’s Daughter Suspended From College for Anti-Israel Activity

Isra Hirsi, Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s daughter, claimed Thursday that she had been “suspended” from Barnard College due to her pro-Palestinian activity.

Hirsi tweeted that she had previously never received a reprimand or “any disciplinary warnings” prior to this alleged suspension. She attributed this decision to her “suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide” and alleged that two other students received suspensions for similar reasons. . .

Hirsi was reportedly arrested over her refusal to leave an illegal anti-Israel encampment at Columbia University, the Daily Wire noted. Photos shared by Twitter user Shayoni Mitra allegedly show Hirsi being escorted by police appears to verify this claim.

Wray Warns China Getting Positioned to Attack American Infrastructure’

The chief of the FBI is warning that China already has “burrowed” into critical infrastructure in the United States and now is just waiting for “the right moment to deal a devastating blow.”

The FBI’s Christopher Wray said in a Reuters report that an ongoing hacking campaign, known already as Volt Typhoon, has gained access to American telecommunications, energy, water and other companies, including pipeline operators.

Wray charged China is assembling the “ability to physically wreak havoc on our critical infrastructure at a time of its choosing. … Its plan is to land low blows against civilian infrastructure to try to induce panic.”

The report explained, “Wray said it was difficult to determine the intent of this cyber pre-positioning which was aligned with China’s broader intent to deter the U.S. from defending Taiwan.”

That is a fast-developing conflict that has the potential to draw the United States into a fight on the other side of the globe. China claims it owns Taiwan, while Taiwan says its own people will decide their future. (Read more from “Wray Warns China Getting Positioned to Attack American Infrastructure’” HERE)

New York Supreme Court Justice Dismisses Trump Juror Amid Concerns Over Public Identity

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan made an unexpected decision on Thursday, dismissing a previously approved juror from Donald Trump’s criminal trial after she expressed worries about her identity being revealed to the public, as court reporters disclosed.

Court reporters had initially published descriptions of the jurors after Judge Merchan seated seven of them following the selection process, during which potential jurors are subjected to 42 questions and scrutiny of their social media accounts. The New York Times reported on the incident, highlighting the challenges in selecting a jury for the trial of the polarizing former president:

The dismissed juror conveyed her concerns about potential public exposure to Judge Merchan, who has maintained the anonymity of prospective jurors but acknowledged that they had divulged information such as their employers during court proceedings.

Following her dismissal, Judge Merchan directed reporters to refrain from divulging the workplaces of prospective jurors, asserting his legal authority to restrict the news media from disclosing such identifying information.

Donald Trump’s unprecedented criminal trial commenced on Monday with the commencement of jury selection, marking the third day of the process on Thursday, with expectations of concluding early next week. The trial necessitates a total of 18 jurors.

Axios provided descriptions of the seven jurors chosen on Tuesday:

1. The foreman, a sales professional residing in Harlem but hailing from Ireland.

2. An oncology nurse and native New Yorker.

3. A corporate lawyer originally from Oregon.

4. A self-employed IT consultant with roots in Puerto Rico, residing on the Lower East Side.

5. A lifelong New Yorker employed as a teacher, who was unaware of Trump’s involvement in three other cases.

6. A software engineer employed by Disney.

7. A lawyer residing on the Upper East Side.

Court Docs Show Trans Teen Arrested for Allegedly Planning Mass Shooting Fawned over Covenant Shooter

A transgender-identifying teenager who was taken into custody and charged for alleged plans to commit a mass shooting at a Maryland high school kept a “manifesto” in which she praised the Nashville mass shooter, fantasized about pedophilia, and voiced concerns about being misgendered after her crime, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Wire.

The thwarted shooter, an 18-year-old woman from Rockville who identifies as a man, was arrested on Wednesday by the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), the county said in a news release, adding that the FBI notified the MCPD about a 129-page “manifesto” in which the teenager wrote about committing a school shooting, contemplated targeting an elementary school, and more.

The court documents obtained by The Daily Wire show disturbing examples from the “manifesto,” which the teenager claimed was fictional, but an MCPD officer said had mirrored actual events and was “based on reality with a plan of threats of mass violence.”

“I really want to be famous. Even infamous,” she wrote on one page. A second entry confesses to pedophilic thoughts, but says she chose not to act on them — “I sometimes think I’m a pedophile. I get turned on by little kids,” she wrote. In a third, the teenager mused about potential news stories about a shooting at a Rockville school. Donald Trump to Capitol Hill Globalists Pushing Foreign Aid: ‘I Am the Only One Who Speaks for Me’

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday reminded globalists on Capitol Hill pushing foreign aid that no one speaks for him but himself.

Trump took to Truth Social in the afternoon to make clear he is his own spokesman a day after Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told CNN’s Jake Tapper that the 45th president would have his back on his Biden-endorsed foreign aid package. The package bundles four separate bills together under a single rule, including a bill that would appropriate $60.84 billion for Ukraine.

“I am the only one who speaks for ‘ME’ and, while it is a total mess caused by Crooked Joe Biden and the Incompetent Democrats, if I were President, this War would have never started!” Trump wrote. Trump also criticized European nations in the post, wondering why they are not “giving more money to help Ukraine?”

During an appearance on CNN’s The Lead with Tapper on Wednesday, the host asked Johnson, “Have you talked to Trump about this plan, this legislative plan in terms of how you’re introducing these foreign aid bills, and ultimately, will he have your back?”

“Oh, I think he will,” Johnson, who faces a revolt in his own conference from many hardline conservatives[.] (Read more from “Donald Trump to Capitol Hill Globalists Pushing Foreign Aid: ‘I Am the Only One Who Speaks for Me’” HERE)

Joe Biden Claims His Uncle Was ‘Shot Down’ Where There Were Cannibals: ‘Never Recovered His Body’ (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden told reporters on Wednesday that his uncle, Ambrose J. Finnegan, was “shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals,” and authorities “never found his body.”

Biden “misstated key details about his uncle’s death,” the Associated Press reported. Finnegan died on May 14, 1944, according to the Pentagon’s Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. Finnegan was a passenger on an Army Air Forces plane that he ditched “for unknown reasons” in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of New Guinea, the agency reported.

On the tarmac, while traveling to a campaign stop in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden told a story about his uncle, alleging his Air Force plane was “shot down” during a “reconnaissance flight over New Guinea” during World War II. . .

“Ambrose Finnegan — we called him Uncle Bosie — he was shot down. He was in the Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force, flew single-engine airplanes, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea,” Biden continued.

“[He] got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals at the time. They never recovered his body,” Biden said. “But the government went back when I was down there, and they checked and found parts of the plane and the like.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Claims His Uncle Was ‘Shot Down’ Where There Were Cannibals: ‘Never Recovered His Body’” HERE)

‘Furry’ Claims Spark Walkout at Middle School; School Pushes Back (VIDEO)

A group of children and adults staged an hours-long walkout at a Utah middle school on Wednesday over an unusual issue — “furries.”

The protesters walked out of Mt. Nebo Middle School, which is about an hour south of Salt Lake City, claiming that students who dress as “furries” were being disruptive.

Furries are people who have an interest in animals with human qualities, according to WebMD.

In video of the protests shared to social media, students accuse the alleged “furries” at Mt. Nebo of biting, scratching, barking at, spraying air freshener on, and pouncing on other students. (Read more from “‘Furry’ Claims Spark Walkout at Middle School; School Pushes Back (VIDEO)” HERE)

Israel Strikes Iranian Sites Near Suspected Nuclear Facilities, Reports Say

Reports have surfaced indicating that Israel launched airstrikes targeting multiple Iranian sites, including areas near suspected locations of Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Israel’s Army Radio disclosed early Friday morning local time that ABC News had identified Israeli strikes near the town of Isfahan, Iran, as well as in regions within Syria and Iraq. The Times of Israel further detailed:

According to Iran’s Fars news agency, explosions were heard near the airport in Isfahan, central Iran. However, the cause of these explosions remains unknown, with investigations ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Isfahan province hosts several Iranian nuclear sites, including Natanz, which serves as a focal point for Iran’s uranium enrichment efforts.

Speculation circulated on social media suggesting that the targets in Syria and Iraq might be associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the external terrorist arm of the Iranian military.

The Israeli strikes are believed to be in response to a significant missile and drone assault launched by Iran against Israel over the preceding weekend. Despite interception by Israeli and allied air defenses, this marked the first direct attack by Iran against Israel from Iranian territory.

Israel had previously issued warnings that any attack originating from Iran would prompt retaliatory strikes within Iranian borders.

For years, Israel has contemplated the possibility of targeting Iran’s nuclear program, regardless of support from the United States.

Assessments indicate that the Iranian regime lacks substantial air defense capabilities. Dr. Shay Har-Zvi of the Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) at Reichman University, speaking to Breitbart News, noted that Iran’s air defenses, supplied primarily by Russia, have yet to incorporate the latest generation systems like the S-400. He suggested that Israeli actions might be motivated by concerns over potential Russian-Iranian collaboration, which could lead to the deployment of advanced air defense systems by Iran. However, he also emphasized Russia’s reluctance to directly engage in a confrontation between Iran and Israel.
