Evidence of ‘Extraordinary’ Cancer Treatment Found in 4,000-Year-Old Egyptian Skull

By New York Post. An international team of researchers says it has found evidence of ancient Egyptians performing experimental treatments or medical explorations of human cancer more than 4,000 years ago.

“This is an extraordinary new perspective in our understanding of the history of medicine,” said Edgard Camarós, a paleopathologist at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain and lead author of the study, which was published Wednesday in the Frontiers in Medicine journal.

Camarós’ team examined two human skulls from the University of Cambridge’s Duckworth Collection in the UK. The first, of a man 30 to 35 years old, dates back to between 2687 and 2345 BC. The second one, of a woman older than 50, is from 663 to 343 BC.

Researchers noted that the man had a tumor — they observed about 30 small round lesions scattered across his skull. The researchers were stunned to discover that someone had cut around the lesions, seemingly with a sharp object. . .

The Cancer History Project reports that the earliest description of human cancer dates back to Egypt from around 3000 BC. The Greek physician Hippocrates (460-370 BC) is credited with first calling the disease cancer. Evidence of Surgical Tumor Removal in Ancient Egyptian Skull Is ‘Milestone in the History of Medicine’

By CNN. . .However, it’s unknown whether the healers tried to remove the tumors while the patient was still alive, or if the tumors were removed after death, for analysis, Camarós told CNN.

“If those cut marks were done with that person alive, we’re talking about some kind of treatment directly related to the cancer,” he said. But if the cut marks were made posthumously, “it means that this is a medical autopsy exploration in relation to that cancer.”

Either way, “it’s amazing to think that they performed a surgical intervention,” Camarós added. “But we cannot actually distinguish between a treatment and an autopsy.”

Medicine in ancient Egypt, documented extensively in medical texts such as the Ebers Papyrus and the Kahun Papyrus, was unquestionably sophisticated, and the new findings offer important, direct evidence of this knowledge, said Dr. Ibrahem Badr, an associate professor in the department of restoration and conservation of antiquities at Misr University for Science and Technology in Giza, Egypt.

“We can see that ancient Egyptian medicine was not solely based on herbal remedies like medicine in other ancient civilizations,” said Badr, who was not involved in the new research. “It directly relied on surgical practices.” (Read more from “Evidence of Surgical Tumor Removal in Ancient Egyptian Skull Is ‘Milestone in the History of Medicine’” HERE)

A Teen Told His Graduating Class Jesus Is ‘Your Answer.’ Now He’s Facing Consequences (VIDEO)

A Northern Kentucky high school student’s graduation speech sparked debate over the weekend after he urged his classmates to seek Jesus Christ as “your answer” for “the way, the truth and life.”

He didn’t receive his diploma and was asked to meet with his school principal because he added the religious message to his pre-approved speech, according to videos he posted on TikTok.

Micah Price said online, “I was told beforehand I wasn’t allowed to bring up Christ. … I did anyways.”

He graduated May 24 from Campbell County High School in Alexandria, about 30 minutes south of Cincinnati. The high school, which has about 1,500 students, draws from a predominantly suburban and rural part of the county.

Price said in his speech: “Class, before another word is to leave my mouth I must give the honor, the praise, and the glory to my lord and savior Jesus Christ, who in his very words tells us he is the light, he is the way, the truth and life. Class, anyone in the audience today, I’m here to tell you that if you don’t have any of those things in your life and can’t seem to find the answer, then my lord and savior is your answer.”

@countrysizzle This young man, Micah, delivered a wonderful speech Friday night at CCHS graduation ceremony. So much so that you could hear people discussing it as we left the event center. Following the ceremony, the school system decided to hold his diploma but has now agreed to a private meeting and return it. Here is a video of the speech (he truly is an amazing speaker) He has dedicated his future endeavors to protecting our country by joining the Air Force! Let’s stand up for him! #2024 #CCHS #SeniorYear #STANDUPFORMICAH #SUPPORTMICAHPRICE ♬ original sound – Christi Wagner

Pakistani Immigrant Yells ‘I’m Gonna Kill All the Jews’ in Antisemitic Attack Outside Jewish School

A 58-year-old man attempted to run down Orthodox students and a rabbi outside a Brooklyn Jewish school on Wednesday, shouting antisemitic threats, according to police and sources.

Video footage from the Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol shows the driver, identified as Asghar Ali, a Pakistani immigrant and livery cab driver, revving his engine and mounting the curb toward individuals near a Yeshiva in Canarsie at approximately 11:25 a.m.

The incident began when Ali, driving a 2011 white Crown Victoria, made a turn onto East 55th Street and veered toward students. He then circled the block, targeting more students and a rabbi while allegedly yelling, “I’m gonna kill all the Jews.”

Fortunately, no one was injured as the victims managed to run into the building.

Tire marks were visible on the sidewalk near the Yeshiva, and a police car was stationed outside. The driver initially escaped but was quickly located by the Shomrim Safety Patrol, who alerted the NYPD.

Bob Moskovitz, executive coordinator of the patrol, explained how they identified the suspect’s car. “We were able to retrieve the video footage. We got the guy’s plate number,” Moskovitz said. “One of our members saw the car during his daily patrol.”

Ali was apprehended and taken to Coney Island Hospital. He has four prior arrests and is considered an “emotionally disturbed” person.

Moskovitz expressed relief at the arrest. “We were very pleased to apprehend this individual. This is not somebody that we want driving around the streets, especially with this antisemitic, anti-Jewish climate out there. Now everybody can be a little more relaxed.”

Nothing to See Here: Left Is Silent When Illegal Aliens Commit Violent Crime

In late April, near my home in Tampa, a woman from Guatemala and her four-year-old daughter were brutally killed with a knife and a shovel by the woman’s live-in boyfriend.

The alleged killer, described in the press as “a Florida man,” apparently killed his girlfriend because she returned home late from an outing with friends.

You would think that CNN, NPR, The New York Times and other prominent media outlets might cover this story. You would also assume that progressive legislators and groups that purport to care about women, immigrants and domestic violence would highlight the case, condemn the horrific attack and demand action to protect women. . .

Instead, this story has been mostly cabined to right-leaning media.

The reason? The accused killer, Angel Gabriel Cuz Choc, came to the United States illegally in September 2023 from Guatemala, where he was wanted for murdering two other people, according to US Border Patrol. Why Is Biden Trying to Cover for Iran’s Massive Nuclear Violations?

Not only is the Biden administration bent on turning a blind eye to terror-supporter Iran’s world-dominating nuclear ambitions, it’s pushing our allies to ignore them, too.

The Wall Street Journal reports that European diplomats say US officials have been trying to talk Britain and France out of censuring Iran at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s board meeting next week, though Iran has grown its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to record highs, on the brink of enough to fuel three nuclear weapons — a blatant middle finger to the West after the IAEA warned Iran to cool its nuke program and allow greater oversight.

US officials deny running cover for Iran, of course, but it fits right into President Biden’s “appeasement at all costs” strategy with Iran — national security be damned.

Since taking office, Biden has refused to enforce on-the-books sanctions against Iranian oil buyers, letting the regime amass billions and so freeing up cash to fund terrorist proxies and buy more uranium.

He all but ignored more than 160 attacks on US forces by Tehran proxies until an attack that killed three soldiers and injured 40 more forced him to respond — and then weeks later approved a sanctions waiver that gives Iran continued access to the $10 billion he released from previously inaccessible bank accounts in 2023. Sexual Assault Survivor’s Ordeal With Trans Inmate in Female Prison Explored in Documentary

A sexual assault survivor gave an inside look at living in a female prison with male criminals who say they identify as transgender in a new documentary released Tuesday by the Independent Women’s Forum, a conservative group.

The six-minute documentary, part of Independent Women’s Forum’s “Cruel & Unusual Punishment: The Male Takeover of Female Prisons” series, focuses on the story of Evelyn Valiente, a sexual assault survivor and former inmate at the Central California Women’s Facility. Valiente, who uses a pseudonym to protect her identity, was forced to share a housing unit with a male inmate who said he identified as a woman while serving time for killing someone in a shooting.

“At first I thought it was going to be OK [but] it didn’t take long before this one particular individual was manipulative, calculating, vindictive, and always looking and seeking to do harm to another person,” Valiente said of the “trans” inmate, who had a history of sex crime convictions.

In 2020, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, signed legislation requiring the state’s prison system to house inmates based on their gender identity and not their biological sex. Under the law, corrections officers are required to ask inmates privately how they identify and then work to house them accordingly.

Before her time in prison, Valiente had been sexually assaulted. She said that being in the same housing unit as an individual who had been convicted of sex crimes, as well as other men, made it “scary” not only for her but for many other women who had “come from very abusive backgrounds.”

Former Prosecutor Weighs in on Jury Deliberations in Trump’s Criminal Case

The jury in former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Manhattan began deliberations Wednesday after closing arguments. The 12-member jury is tasked with determining whether to convict or acquit Trump on the 34 charges he faces.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in relation to an alleged “hush money” payment to porn star Stormy Daniels late in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Zack Smith, a former prosecutor who now is a Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow, sits down with “The Daily Signal Podcast” to explain what discussions the jurors likely are having and possible outcomes of the trial. (Heritage launched The Daily Signal in 2014.)

WATCH: Jill Biden Claims It’s President Trump Who ‘Can’t Put a Sentence Together’

Jill Biden, on a television talk show with sympathetic supporters, now has wildly claimed that it is President Donald Trump who “can’t put a sentence together.”

She was talking in anticipation of the debate scheduled later in June between her husband, whose career in verbal gaffes, blunders and slipups extends back decades, and even at one point triggered a book on his misstatements, and Trump.

She said there are guardrails planned for the debate, at Joe Biden’s insistence, that there be no audience, that microphones be turned off periodically and more.

That, she said, is so somebody “can’t ramble, or scream at somebody, not that my husband would be the one doing that.”

. . .

His catalog of known verbal blunders goes on forever. He once told a supporter confined to a wheelchair to “stand up” and more recently openly wondered how long it would be before voters figured out they can’t trust him.

Report: Suspects Openly Sell ‘Sextortion’ Guides on Social Media as Number of Child Victims Spikes

Suspected criminals are selling “sextortion” guides on social media as children and teenagers increasingly fall prey to sexual blackmail schemes, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported Tuesday.

The guides teach would-be scammers how to masquerade online as young women and hoodwink a victim into sending sexually explicit content, which the suspects would then use to blackmail the victim, the report revealed. The guides also show how to set up untraceable phone numbers, create fake social media accounts and use secure payment platforms.

One of the alleged contributors to the guide boasted his victim paid him “every Friday,” the report showed.

There has been a spike in child and teenage victims of sextortion — a “massive threat” to children, as the intelligence professional and sextortion expert Paul Raffile put it — according to the report. It marked a shift from adult victims to much younger, mostly male victims in particular, Raffile reportedly added.

One such young male victim reportedly parted with £100 (about $127) to alleged sextortion suspects who blackmailed him with a fake picture. He opened up to his parents, with whose help he then shut down his social media account, escaping further harm, according to the report.

Fetterman Defends Israel, Condemns Hamas for Hiding Behind Civilians (VIDEO)

In an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Wednesday, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) addressed the recent deaths of civilians in an Israeli airstrike on a tent camp in Rafah. Fetterman described the casualties as “awful” and “heartbreaking,” but emphasized the role of Hamas in exacerbating the situation.

Fetterman stated, “The deaths of civilians in the strike were awful and a heartbreaking tragedy. However, there is a truth about this war, and that’s what Hamas does — Hamas, those cowards hide behind civilians. It’s becoming more evident that there was a dump of munitions there that exploded, causing additional damage. That’s where Hamas is hiding them.”

He further explained the complexity of the conflict, noting, “If Hamas truly wanted peace, they could have accepted the ceasefire deal offered a couple of weeks ago or surrendered if they were genuinely concerned about civilian casualties. Instead, they persist in their efforts, showing no connection with the suffering of Palestinians. They don’t seem to care how many die or anything.”

Fetterman also remarked on Israel’s efforts to minimize civilian casualties, acknowledging the challenges faced by the Israeli military. “I believe Israel does try to minimize that, but it’s a very difficult war when they have to wage a war with Hamas hiding behind civilians.”
