Democrats for Life Wins 97% of Endorsed Elections in Rebuke to Party’s Abortion Stance

Democrats for Life of America said Tuesday that 97% of its endorsed candidates won their races in last week’s election, which raises the question: Is there such a thing as a pro-life Democrat?

Certainly not in Congress, unless you count Rep. Henry Cuellar — and his record is mixed. But anti-abortion Democrats made it clear that they’re far from extinct by racking up victories in their bids for seats in state legislatures and county commissions.

Democrats for Life endorsed 39 candidates in the Nov. 5 election, and 37 of them won outright. Of the remaining two, one candidate lost, and the other — Sharon Weston Broome — is moving to a run-off in the race for mayor-president of East Baton Rouge Parish in Louisiana.

That’s an impressive win-loss percentage, especially in a year that saw the Democratic Party lose the White House and the Senate after doubling down on abortion rights as a campaign issue.

“While Democrats lost from sea to shining sea last week, pro-life Democrats won — 97% of our endorsed candidates won last week,” said Democrats for Life President Kristen Day in a Tuesday statement. TREASON: Pentagon Officials Discussed Scenarios to Countermand Controversial Orders From Incoming Commander-In-Chief

By Daily Caller. Pentagon officials have been discussing how to counter potential orders from President-elect Donald Trump, CNN reported, citing defense sources.

The officials are “gaming out” various scenarios, including the possibility Trump will deploy military troops to assist in mass deportations and a potential reclassification of federal employees to make them easier to fire, CNN reported Friday.

“We are all preparing and planning for the worst-case scenario, but the reality is that we don’t know how this is going to play out yet,” a defense official said, according to CNN.

Republican CNN contributor Scott Jennings criticized the reports Friday, suggesting the disgruntled officials should speak to Trump directly.

“What’s Donald Trump supposed to think?” Jennings asked “Anderson Cooper 360⁰” host Anderson Cooper. “He’s gotta read in the newspaper tonight that the unelected bureaucracy of the federal government is having meetings, at some level, about how to thwart or counterman the Commander in Chief.”

How a Trump Presidency Could Lead To a Purge at the Pentagon

By Reuters. During his campaign for re-election, Donald Trump vowed to purge the military of so-called “woke” generals. Now that he is president-elect, the question in the halls of the Pentagon is whether he would go much further. . .

Current and former U.S. officials say Trump will prioritize loyalty in his second term and root out military officers and career civil servants he perceives to be disloyal. . .

Trump was asked by Fox News in June whether he would fire generals described as “woke.” . . .

“I would fire them. You can’t have (a) woke military,” Trump said. (Read more from “How a Trump Presidency Could Lead To a Purge at the Pentagon” HERE)

Dad Who Ranted Against Trump Election Gunned Down Wife, Ex-Girlfriend and His 2 Kids in Murder-Suicide

A Minnesota dad who ranted against President-elect Donald Trump online shot and killed his wife, ex-partner, and his two sons before turning the gun on himself, according to authorities.

The shooter, 46-year-old Anthony Nephew, had a “pattern of mental health issues,” Duluth Police Chief Mike Ceynowa said on Friday — one day after authorities found five people dead inside two homes in the city. . .

Before his rampage, Anthony Nephew had been sharing left-wing and anti-Trump posts on his Facebook account.

“My mental health and the world can no longer peacefully coexist, and a lot of the reason is religion,” Anthony Nephew wrote in July. . .

“Gilead here we come,” he wrote, referencing “The Handmaid’s Tale,” a dystopian novel turned Hulu series in which women, who have been stripped of their rights, are forced to reproduce for the ruling class.

Anthony Nephew shared other political posts, including an image of former president Barack Obama, Trump, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. The word “hate” sits under Trump’s face, while the words “hope,” “heal” and “grow” correspond with the Democratic politicians. Jill Biden Gives Kamala Harris the Cold Shoulder After Husband Joe Was Forced Out of Race the VP Lost to Trump (VIDEO)

By Daily Mail. It’s an unseasonably warm 72 degrees in Washington, D.C. today – but conditions looked downright icy in the VIP viewing area at Arlington National Cemetery.

Jill Biden, eyes hidden behind sunglasses, looked stoic as she sat next to Kamala Harris while her husband, President Joe Biden delivered his Veterans Day address.

The first lady stared straight ahead as the vice president grinned and leaned into husband Doug Emhoff, who sat on her other side. . .

But now the votes have been tallied and the results show Harris lost to Donald Trump in a landslide, leaving the Harris camp and Biden allies to blame one another for the Democrats’ epic Election Day defeats.

Veterans Day marked the first time President Biden and Vice President Harris saw one another since the election. (Read more from “Jill Biden Gives Kamala Harris the Cold Shoulder After Husband Joe Was Forced Out of Race the VP Lost to Trump (VIDEO)” HERE)

Biden, Kamala Harris Make First Public Appearance Together Since Election as Stone-Faced Jill Looks On

By New York Post. Lame-duck President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris appeared in public together Monday for the first time since the veep’s loss to President-elect Donald Trump — making a joint visit to Arlington National Cemetery for a Veterans Day event.

Biden, 81, and Harris, 60, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony ahead of the retiring president’s remarks hailing military service members and their families — as the defeated Democratic nominee looked on from the stands with an expressionless first lady Jill Biden on her left.

Harris, who did not speak, wore a similarly stoic expression before swapping smiles with her husband, Douglas Emhoff — seated on her other side — just six days after losing to Trump, 78, whom she denounced last month as a “fascist” who threatened American democracy.

“This is the moment to come together as a nation, to keep faith in each other,” Biden said in what appeared to be a reference to the Republican takeover of the White House and Congress in last Tuesday’s election. Republicans Take Control of the House of Representatives

Republicans are projected to take control of the House of Representatives, giving the party a trifecta as Republicans also took control of the Senate and the presidency.

Decision Desk HQ projected that the Republicans had won enough seats for them to take control of the House. Republicans were projected to have secured a 218-209 majority.

House Republicans ended up making gains over their Democrat colleagues in the election. Republican candidate Rob Bresnahan won the race for Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District over incumbent Rep. Matt Cartwright.

Republican candidate Ryan Mackenzie also unseated incumbent Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA) in the race for Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District.

The Hill reported that there were “three freshmen New York Republicans” who were unseated in their races.

Leftists Should Feel Free To Shun Pro-Trump Family Over Holidays for ‘Mental Health,’ Yale Psychiatry Resident Says

Leftists this holiday season should feel free to stay away from family and friends who voted for President-elect Donald Trump in order to take care of their “mental health,” a Yale psychiatry resident told MSNBC host Joy Reid on Friday.

Reid asked Dr. Amanda Calhoun, “How do you interact with people who you know voted for this? If you are an LGBTQ person and know someone in your family voted essentially against your rights, or you’re a woman knowing this man was calling people the B-word. [Vice President-elect] JD Vance was literally calling Kamala Harris ‘the trash’ and said we’re going to take out ‘the trash.’ I know a lot of black women were incredibly triggered by that.”

Reid continued, “And if you then meet somebody, and you know they voted for the people who called you trash, or if you’re Puerto Rican … and you know someone voted that way, do you recommend just from a psychological standpoint being around them? We got the holidays coming up.”

Calhoun replied that there is a “societal” expectation that “if somebody is your family that they are entitled to your time. And I think the answer is absolutely not. So if you are going to a situation where you have family members, where you have close friends who you know have voted in ways that are against you — like what you said, against your livelihood — and it’s completely fine to not be around those people and to tell them why. You know, to say, ‘I have a problem with the way that you voted because it went against my very livelihood, and I’m not gonna be around you this holiday. I need to take some space for me.'”

Calhoun added that she doesn’t believe anyone should be forced “to be around people just because they’re your family. … And if you feel like you need to establish boundaries with people, whether they’re your family or not, I think you should very much be entitled to do so. And I think it may be essential for your mental health.”

‘Blatant Weaponization’: FEMA Facing Investigations for Targeting Suffering Trump Supporters

Republicans are calling for investigations, or are already launching their own, into charges that the federal government deliberately and willfully discriminated against supporters of President-elect Donald Trump following a hurricane disaster in Florida.

It was the Daily Wire that initially documented how Marn’I Washington, a Federal Emergency Management Agency supervisor, instructed employees under her authority to deprive homeowners who expressed support for Trump’s campaign of federal help following the 2024 hurricane season.

According to a report from the Washington Stand, “At least 20 houses with Trump signs or Trump flags displayed were skipped over by FEMA with employees designating the houses with variations of ‘Trump sign no entry per leadership.'” . . .

Gov. Ron DeSantis, of Florida, said, “At my direction, the [Florida] Division of Emergency Management is launching an investigation into the federal government’s targeted discrimination of Floridians who support Donald Trump.”

He explained, “The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days. … New leadership is on the way in DC, and I’m optimistic that these partisan bureaucrats will be fired.” (Read more from “‘Blatant Weaponization’: FEMA Facing Investigations for Targeting Suffering Trump Supporters” HERE)

WATCH: Major Ruling in CNN Defamation Fight With James O’Keefe

A federal appeals court has ruled against CNN in its attempt to have dismissed a defamation complaint from James O’Keefe and Project Veritas.

O’Keefe launched Project Veritas and worked years with the organization, doing undercover interviews to uncover political scandals. . .

A report from the Post Millennial said it was the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals that said CNN’s statements about O’Keefe “were not substantially true” and found that, “Veritas plausibly alleged that Cabrera’s statements were published with actual malice under the First Amendment.”

The report explained, “Circuit Judge Elizabeth Branch wrote in an opinion for the court that on February 11, 2021, the Project Veritas account on then-Twitter was suspended. CNN’s Ana Cabrera claimed on February 15 that the account had been banned for ‘promoting misinformation,’ while Project Veritas said that it was because it had violated Twitter’s ‘publication of private information,’ or ‘doxxing’ policy.”

The judge wrote, “When CNN refused to issue a retraction, Veritas sued for defamation. The district court granted CNN’s motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim, finding that Cabrera’s statements were substantially true and thus not actionable under applicable New York defamation law. Veritas appealed.” (Read more from “WATCH: Major Ruling in CNN Defamation Fight With James O’Keefe” HERE)

Fauci Received 15 Million Dollars In Taxpayer Funds For Private Security Detail, Report Says

Dr. Anthony Fauci was granted $15 million in taxpayer-funded security as a private citizen, according to a new report.

An agreement between the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) provided Fauci protection from Jan. 4, 2023 to Sept. 20, 2024, according to FOIA documents obtained by independent journalist Jordan Schachtel and Open The Books.

The costs covered a chauffeur and a USMS security detail, the report notes.

The USMS, which operates under the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), told the Daily Caller they “provided a protective detail for Dr. Anthony S. Fauci from January 2023 to August 2024,” a month less than indicated by Schachtel’s report.

After Multiple Failed Assassination Attempts, Iran Reportedly Considers New Approach to Trump — Diplomacy

Officials in Iran are considering negotiating and reconciling with incoming President Donald Trump instead of acting adversarially as they have previously been, according to The New York Times.

Iran has long held disdain for Trump, having conducted cyberwarfare operations against his presidential campaign and working through various individuals to try to assassinate him in recent years. Now that Trump has locked in a second term, some Iranian officials are questioning whether it is now the best way forward to deal with Trump diplomatically, according to five officials who spoke to NYT. That sentiment is being shared in Iranian media and among former officials.

“Do not lose this historic opportunity for change in Iran-U.S. relations,” Hamid Aboutalebi, former political adviser to Iran’s government and established politician, wrote in an op-ed, urging Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to congratulate Trump on his presidential win, according to NYT.

To search for diplomatic solutions with Trump would represent a major shift in Tehran’s thinking. Trump withdrew the U.S. from the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran in 2018, reimposed strict sanctions and assassinated its top general, Qasem Soleimani, in 2020.

In response, Iran has been targeting Trump and openly calling for violence against him. Even as recently as Friday, U.S. officials said that three individuals had been charged with attempting to assassinate Trump, one of many such ploys that have been orchestrated or linked to Iran.
