Trump Appoints Kari Lake to Head Voice of America News Agency

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Kari Lake, a former newscaster and candidate for Arizona governor and U.S. Senate, to be the new chief of Voice of America, the government-funded worldwide news agency.

And leftists are melting down over the appointment of the longtime Trump supporter.

Just the News noted that Trump’s announcement said Lake will work alongside the next leader of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, who has not yet been nominated.

Lake was a candidate for Arizona governor in 2022 and the U.S. Senate in 2024, and lost both races by narrow margins.

West Point Refuses to Say if Officials Who Spread False Info About Pete Hegseth’s Academy Record Will Be Punished

West Point is refusing to disclose whether school officials who gave false information to legacy media about Pete Hegseth’s acceptance into the academy will face disciplinary action for their conduct, The Federalist has learned.

The entire saga came to fruition on Wednesday morning, when Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, posted screenshots of his 1999 acceptance letter into West Point on X. In the caption accompanying the images, the Army veteran wrote, “We understand that ProPublica (the Left Wing hack group) is planning to publish a knowingly false report that I was not accepted to West Point in 1999. Here’s my letter of acceptance signed by West Point Superintendent, Lieutenant General Daniel Christman, US Army.”

As noted by the former Fox News host, ProPublica is radical left-wing “news” organization that acts as a PR operation for the Democrat Party and its interests. Bankrolled by the left’s dark money network and staffed with Democrat partisans, the outlet has spent the last year leading a seemingly coordinated smear campaign against Supreme Court Justices Samual Alito and Clarence Thomas.

Responding to Hegseth’s tweet in a condescending X thread, ProPublica Senior Editor and Reporter Jesse Eisinger — who edited ProPublica’s Pulitzer Prize-winning hit pieces against the conservative justices — effectively admitted the left-wing outlet was looking into running a hatchet job against Hegseth based on the Army veteran’s “different statements over the years about West Point, where he has said he was admitted.”

Eisinger claimed ProPublica first reached out to West Point’s public affairs office to inquire about Hegseth’s acceptance into the academy and was informed by a representative, “According to the admissions office – Hegseth had not applied for admission to the U.S. Military Academy.” Eisinger contended the leftist outlet subsequently called the academy “to ask if that meant that Hegseth had never been admitted,” and was purportedly told by a second West Point representative, “Absolutely 100%. Biden Grants Record 39 Presidential Pardons and Commutes 1,500 Sentences

The days are counting down until U.S. President Joe Biden exits the White House but before he goes the octogenarian is doing some judicial housekeeping.

On Thursday he issues presidential pardons to 39 Americans convicted of non-violent crimes while commuting the sentences of nearly 1,500 other people in the largest single-day act of clemency in modern history.

The White House has not given the names of the people involved in the mass commutations, AP reports.

The U.S. Constitution decrees a president has the broad “power to grant reprieves and pardons for offences against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.”

NATO Chief Warns Alliance Not Ready for Future Threats From Russia, China

NATO countries need to ramp up their defense spending and “shift to a wartime mindset” because the alliance is not ready to meet future military threats from adversaries like Russia and China, newly installed NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said Thursday.

In his first public appearance in Brussels since becoming chief of the U.S.-led security alliance, Mr. Rutte noted that NATO members earmarked upwards of 3% of their GDP to defense during the Cold War.

“We are not ready for what is coming our way in four to five years. Danger is moving toward us at full speed,” Mr. Rutte said during a speech hosted by the Carnegie Europe think tank. “We must not look the other way. We must face it.”

He said Russian arms factories are churning out war equipment around the clock while China’s military-industrial base also is growing. Beijing is heavily investing in munitions, accelerating its space capabilities and expanding its nuclear arsenal.

“Our defense industry here in Europe has been hollowed out by decades of underinvestment and narrow national industrial interests. Oversight Panel Probes Federal Agency Over Unhinged Post Claiming U.S. Is Devolving Into Nazi Germany

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer demanded answers from the Selective Service agency for reposting a vulgar social media screed last month suggesting the US may be on a similar trajectory to Nazi Germany.

Although the report was subsequently scrubbed from the Selective Service’s official X account, Comer (R-Ky.) is keen on obtaining additional information on the matter and wants to ensure the perpetrator is fired.

“The Committee is deeply disturbed that an independent federal agency, tasked with registering and maintaining a system of individuals potentially subject to military conscription if authorized by the President and Congress, would re-post a wholly unsubstantiated, false, and contemptible claim,” Comer wrote in a letter to Selective Service System acting director Joel Spangenberg on Thursday.

“The individual at fault for reposting such an inappropriate and disturbing message on an Agency X account should be terminated.”

3 Men Accuse Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of Drugging and Raping Them at NYC Hotels

Sean “Diddy” Combs drugged and then raped three men at two Manhattan hotels and at his Hamptons estate as recently as 2022, according to a trio of new lawsuits filed in New York on Thursday.

One of the men recalled that during his drugged haze, once Combs was finished raping him, he handed him off to others from Bad Boy Records so they could take turns sexually assaulting him, according to his lawsuit.

The three lawsuits cite assaults in 2019 and 2020 — though the suit alleges they covered allegations through 2022.

Each lawsuit alleges that Combs served the anonymous victims alcoholic drinks spiked with drugs that made the men feel “ill” and lose consciousness, only to awake as Combs was raping them, court documents state.

Lawyer for the three victims, Thomas P. Giuffra, of Rheingold, Giuffra, Ruffo Plotkin & Hellman, LLP, said in an afternoon press conference outside of Manhattan Supreme Court that the trio of lawsuits have much in common.”All of these cases involve the rape of men,” Guiffra said. “They all involve drugging of these victims, raping by Sean Combs and others, following the rapes threats to the safety of each one of these victims. Mayor’s Bank Account Reportedly Seized After Refusing to Celebrate Pride Month

A mayor of a township in Ontario, Canada, reportedly had his personal bank account garnished after he refused to pay a $5,000 fine after a tribunal ruled he had discriminated against an LGBTQ group.

On November 20, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario ruled that the township of Emo and its mayor, Harold McQuaker, 77, had discriminated against an LGBTQ group, under the Ontario Human Rights Code, by denying its request to proclaim June as Pride Month. Borderland Pride had requested Emo make the Pride Month declaration and requested the township fly a “LGBTQ2” flag, despite Emo not having an official flag pole.

McQuaker was further found to have violated the human rights code by making a “discriminatory remark” during the town’s council meeting about the flag request, saying that there was no flag for the “other side of the coin… for straight people.”

Tribunal vice-chair Karen Dawson ordered the township to pay a fine of $10,000, while McQuaker was ordered to take a “Human Rights 101” course and pay a $5,000 fine to Borderland Pride.

House Democrats Move Further Left After the 2024 Elections

House Democrats did not learn a lesson from the 2024 elections in which the GOP swept into a federal trifecta and made gains across the country. They are instead deciding to become even more radical and even more hysterical than ever before.

The two most high-profile, high-exposure House committees are the Judiciary Committee and Oversight Committee. The Judiciary Committee is where House Republicans have spent the past few years interrogating the heads of the FBI, the Secret Service, President Joe Biden’s Justice Department, and the officials involved in Biden’s border crisis. The House Judiciary Committee under the GOP has also examined Wall Street firms colluding with climate activists to strongarm companies into left-wing climate goals.

House Democrats have tossed aside Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) to make Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) the new top Democrat on the Judiciary Committee. Raskin is among the most radical and most hysterical Democrats in Congress, an election denier who tried to overturn the results of the 2016 presidential election and who intentionally undermined trust in the 2024 elections by suggesting there is no way they could be “free, fair, and honest” if President-elect Donald Trump won. He is also a wannabe tyrant who wants to force Supreme Court justices he disagrees with off of cases and change the entire electoral system to fit what he thinks will help Democrats cling to power.

Raskin has also said the antisemitic junior varsity communists of “The Squad” are “the Truth Squad” in his eyes, and one of those members will soon be replacing him as the leading Democrat on the Oversight Committee. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reportedly has won over the majority of Oversight Democrats and already clearly has Raskin’s seal of approval, lining her up to lead the Democrats on the committee that Republicans have used to investigate Gov. Report: DOJ Corruptly Spied On Congress Members, Staffers, And Media In 4-Year Inquiry That Resulted In No Charges

A new report shows the creepy tactics the Department of Justice (DOJ) employed to secretly spy on certain members of Congress, media personnel, and congressional staffers who were investigating the DOJ.

The DOJ conducted four criminal investigations between 2017 and 2020 into unauthorized disclosure of classified information. The DOJ launched these investigations “while House and Senate oversight committees were investigating the Department of Justice and the FBI for their role in the Russia-collusion hoax,” as Margot Cleveland reported for The Federalist.

Despite unprecedented and indefensibly invasive investigations, the DOJ “did not charge anyone in these investigations with unauthorized disclosure of classified information,” according to a DOJ Office of Inspector General report. All four investigations are now closed.

The report, titled “A Review of the Department of Justice’s Issuance of Compulsory Process to Obtain Records of Members of Congress, Congressional Staffers, and Members of the News Media,” was released on Tuesday.

The DOJ investigated 43 congressional staffers — including 21 who worked for Democrat committees or members of Congress and 20 who worked for Republican committees or Congress members — their family members, and two Democrat members of Congress who are not named in the report, but who have been identified in other media as Rep. Eric Swalwell and then-Rep. Adam Schiff (who has now moved to the U.S. Senate). By Breitbart. FBI Director Christopher Wray confirmed the rumors on Wednesday, previewing his plans to resign ahead of President-elect Donald Trump’s second term.

According to the Washington Post, Wray — who replaced anti-Trumper James Comey in 2017 — made the announcement during a townhall with what the outlet described as the “FBI workforce.” Wray maintained that his stepping down is the best option for the FBI as a whole.

Wray reportedly said in part, “My goal is to keep the focus on our mission — the indispensable work you’re doing on behalf of the American people every day.”

“In my view, this is the best way to avoid dragging the Bureau deeper into the fray, while reinforcing the values and principles that are so important to how we do our work,” he continued, revealing that the decision was “not easy for me.”

“I love this place, I love our mission, and I love our people — but my focus is, and always has been, on us and doing what’s right for the FBI,” he claimed.

Trump Celebrates Resignation of FBI Chief With Epic Message

By WND. Christopher Wray, the FBI chief who oversaw the weaponization of the federal agency against now President-elect Donald Trump, with the bureau’s SWAT raid on Trump’s home, its participation in the “Russia, Russia, Russia” collusion conspiracy and more, is leaving.

The move is voluntary, but inevitable, given that Trump already had expressed his desire for a different FBI chief, and in fact already had nominated Kash Patel.

Trump responded to the word delivered by Wray to FBI employees:

“The resignation of Christopher Wray is a great day for America as it will end the Weaponization of what has become known as the United States Department of Injustice. I just don’t know what happened to him. We will now restore the Rule of Law for all Americans,” he said.

“Under the leadership of Christopher Wray, the FBI illegally raided my home, without cause, worked diligently on illegally impeaching and indicting me, and has done everything else to interfere with the success and future of America.
