‘Reputation Impaired’: Congressman Sues Gov’t Over Post-J6 Capitol Police Actions

A congressman from Texas is suing the federal government for $2.5 million over the “unlawful harassment” he faced following the Jan. 6, 2021, protests and riots at the Capitol.

Rep Troy Nehls, R-Texas, charges that a Capitol police officer forced his way into Nehls’ congressional office without consent, then photographed materials in the room, including a whiteboard with a discussion of proposed firearms legislation.

Then the authorities followed up with an investigation by other officers.

Significant is the claim that the police violated the Speech and Debate Clause of the U.S. Constitution, which provides vast protections for members of Congress doing their duties.

The first count charges “intrusion on privacy,” for the entry of the officer into the congressman’s private office and taking pictures. (Read more from “‘Reputation Impaired’: Congressman Sues Gov’t Over Post-J6 Capitol Police Actions” HERE)

Another Day, Another Alleged Would-Be Trump Assassin Charged

Less than a week after a horrifying survey found more than half of self-identified leftists believe killing President Donald Trump would be justifiable, a Pennsylvania man has been charged with threatening to murder the president and other U.S. officials.

Shawn Monper, 32, of Butler — the same Pennsylvania community where Trump came within a fraction of an inch of being assassinated last July — faces federal charges of making threats to assault and murder Trump, DOGE advisor and Tesla founder Elon Musk, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents, and others, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

“I want to applaud the outstanding and courageous investigative work of the FBI and the Butler Township Police Department, who thankfully identified and apprehended this individual before he could carry out his threats against President Trump’s life and the lives of other innocent Americans,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi in a press release.

Monper, who allegedly took to YouTube as “Mr. Satan,” made a series of threatening statements between Jan. 15 and last weekend, according to the criminal complaint. On Tuesday, the FBI National Threat Operations Section (NTOS) “received an emergency disclosure,” the Justice Department said. A subsequent federal investigation determined “Mr. Satan” was residing at Monper’s residence, according to the DOJ.

‘We Just Need to Start Killing People’

Monper allegedly “sought and obtained a firearms permit shortly following President Trump’s inauguration.” In February, federal officials said he commented on his YouTube account, “I have bought several guns and been stocking up on ammo since Trump got in office.” (Read more from “Another Day, Another Alleged Would-Be Trump Assassin Charged” HERE)

Why Is Trump’s DOJ Hiding An FBI Informant’s Deposition On The Oklahoma Bombing?

After the April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City bombing, the FBI launched a massive manhunt for a mystery accomplice to Timothy McVeigh known as “John Doe 2”—only to later claim that he never existed, and that McVeigh acted largely alone.

Nearly 30 years later, an attorney in Utah named Jesse Trentadue is still working to unearth the truth through his ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit for surveillance footage of the blast. According to FBI and Secret Service records, the footage shows McVeigh with another unidentified subject.

Since McVeigh’s other known accomplice, Terry Nichols, was confirmed to have been in Kansas on April 19, John Doe 2’s identity remains a subject of debate. Credible researchers have made the case that he may have been an undercover informant, or even an agent.

Trentadue’s nearly 17-year-old FOIA lawsuit hasn’t received much attention over the last decade, largely because it’s been litigated behind closed doors, with gag orders on all parties. That’s because a special master is continuing to investigate stunning allegations that the FBI intimidated an undercover informant involved in the case.

With the OKC bombing anniversary next week, Trentadue recently moved to unseal the deposition he took of the FBI informant—a retired Marine named John Matthews, who allegedly saw McVeigh months before the bombing. However, one of the top officials in the Justice Department, Principal Acting Assistant Attorney General Yaakov Roth, is opposing his motion, according to a letter Trentadue wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi—a copy of which this reporter obtained. Top Trump Adviser Reveals Administration’s ‘Red Line’ Ahead of Iran Talks

Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff was adamant Friday that the Trump administration will not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon, describing the provocative action as a “red line” — but said that the US would still be open to compromise ahead of talks with the adversary.

“I think our position begins with dismantlement of your program. That is our position today,” Witkoff told the Wall Street Journal, explaining what he plans on telling Iranian officials on Saturday in Oman.

“That doesn’t mean, by the way, that at the margin we’re not going to find other ways to find compromise between the two countries,” the special envoy added, suggesting there are some accommodations the Trump administration might be willing to provide the theocratic regime in order to get it to scrap possible nuclear ambitions.

“Where our red line will be, there can’t be weaponization of your nuclear capability,” Witkoff asserted. (Read more from “Top Trump Adviser Reveals Administration’s ‘Red Line’ Ahead of Iran Talks” HERE)

‘Terrorist Watch List’ Migrants Secured Medicaid After Being Freed Into U.S. by Joe Biden

A bombshell report from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) revealed that migrants on the federal government’s “Terrorist Watch List” were able to secure Medicaid after being released into the United States by former President Joe Biden’s administration.

According to DOGE officials, about 6,300 of Biden’s migrants — paroled into the U.S. interior with no immigration status — were either on the Terrorist Watch List or had criminal records and yet were still rewarded work permits and Social Security numbers.

The DOGE report found that 905 of the migrants, including four on the Terrorist Watch List, had been collecting Medicaid benefits totaling $276,000 in American taxpayer dollars. Another 41 were collecting unemployment benefits totaling $42,000.

Similarly, 22 of the migrants received tax refunds in 2024 totaling $751,000 and several more received food stamp benefits.

Trump Reveals Results of Doctor’s Report: ’Good Heart, a Good Soul — a Very Good Soul’

President Donald Trump took a jab at former President Joe Biden when revealing that he took a cognitive test during his physical examination and claimed he “got every answer right.”

While speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Trump said he thought he “did well” on his physical examination. When asked by a reporter if he received “suggestions or advice” on anything he should change, Trump said he received a “little bit,” but that “overall” he felt he is “in very good shape.”

“Little bit, but overall I think I’m in very — I felt I was in very good shape,” Trump said. “Good heart, a good soul — a very good soul. And I took — I wanted to be a little different than Biden. I took a cognitive test, and I don’t know what to tell you other than I got every answer right.”

The revelation from Trump, who is currently 78, comes as the White House revealed in February 2024, that Biden did not receive a cognitive test during his annual physical examination. (Read more from “Trump Reveals Results of Doctor’s Report: ’Good Heart, a Good Soul — a Very Good Soul’” HERE)

Trump Announces $600 Million in New Deals With Five Law Firms

President Trump announced a series of agreements with five major law firms Friday, signing deals for some $600 million in pro bono work as the Trump administration continues its pressure campaign on the legal profession.

Kirkland & Ellis, Allen Overy Shearman Sterling, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and Latham & Watkins all agreed to perform $125 million each in pro bono legal work — the highest figure seen yet in any of the agreements brokered by Trump with various legal firms.

In exchange, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will withdraw letters sent to each of the firms asking questions about their hiring practices and implying firms’ efforts to diversify their workforce could violate employment laws.

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, which was not contacted by the EEOC, signed a deal with the Trump administration for $100 million in pro bono work. That firm previously employed Todd Blanche, Trump’s former defense attorney and deputy attorney general, but forced him to leave when he took on Trump as a client. Catholics in Spain Ask Church to Protect Religious Site From Government Destruction

Some Catholics in Spain are asking the Catholic Church to save a religious site in Madrid from threats of alteration and decommissioning by the Spanish government, which claims the site honors a former right-wing dictator. Critics claim the government is opposed to the site because it is religious, noting that officials have already removed 35 public crosses throughout the country under a law that allows them to remove public monuments associated with the dictator.

The Spanish government, in cooperation with the Holy See, the central government of the Catholic Church, has begun the process of resignification for the Valley of the Fallen, a more than 3000-acre complex dedicated to the fallen from both sides of the Spanish Civil War. The process of resignification involves redefining the meaning of a historic site in order to adapt it to a new purpose.

The Spanish Civil War was a conflict from 1936-1939 between the Nationalists, led by right-wing leader Francisco Franco, and the Republican faction. Thousands of Catholics were martyred by the Republican faction during the war. The bodies of more than 30,000 victims of the war from both sides are buried at the Valley of the Fallen, according to the Catholic News Agency. The site was built on Franco’s orders, and the former dictator was buried in the complex until 2019, when his body was exhumed and moved.

The site is also home to a Benedictine abbey, a boys’ Catholic Gregorian choir school, and a basilica situated underground in an excavated space in the mountain. A 492-foot cross, the largest in the world, towers above the complex.

The Spanish government reached an agreement with the church in February to force out the Rev. Santiago Cantera, the Catholic former prior of the Benedictine community there, whom the government called a “Francoist.” It now seeks to alter the site to align with the 2022 Law of Democratic Memory, which aims to condemn the wrongs of the Francoist regime. Oil Plunge to Four-Year Lows Threatens ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’

The plunge in oil prices to four-year lows has seeded doubt as to whether the oil and gas industry will be able to deliver more drilling, as President Donald Trump has sought.

Just after 11 a.m., both domestic and international benchmarks were trading below the $60 per barrel line, with prices reaching their lowest levels since 2021. Brent Crude dipped by 5.36% and was trading at around $59.45 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate also dropped by 5.71% and was priced at $56.18 per barrel.

Prices have been on a steep decline since April 2, when Trump unveiled sweeping tariffs on dozens of countries. These tariffs include a baseline 10% tariff on all exports to the United States, with minimal exceptions, and higher tariffs on countries that have large trade surpluses with the U.S.

Other nations have since vowed to retaliate, including China, which plans to impose an additional 34% tariff on all U.S. goods starting Thursday. (Read more from “Oil Plunge to Four-Year Lows Threatens ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’” HERE)

President Trump Has China Hanging Over a Massive Tariff Cliff

In some ways, this is the perfect issue for President Trump to drive liberals insane. It presents another opportunity for Democrats to get ahead of their skis since they have horrendous leadership, helmed by the likes of Jasmine Crockett, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries, aka Temu Obama. It’s another chance for the liberal media to debase themselves. President Trump knows the political situation and the realities here. He knows his base. It’s why he’s not caving, though his enemies are presenting his 90-day pause as such, but it’s actually the opposite. He has China firmly hanging over a massive tariff cliff.

The fact is that dozens of countries have voiced their willingness to re-negotiate trade deals, including South Korea and Vietnam, the latter of which is underreported and critical. Vietnam is a huge trading partner, but the markets might stabilize if the media reports on that accurately. Instead, it’s this incessant panic porn factory that’s kept chiefly everyone scared.

Yet, Trump has the support of the people: a YouGov survey found that well over a supermajority of Americans support tariffs to protect American markets exploited by unfair free trade deals. A similar number of Americans support beefing up and having a strong manufacturing base in America. Yet, when we have a president who sets into motion a policy to reset these trade dynamics, the media and the fat cat Democrats lose their minds. It’s why the White House pushed a catchy phrase: don’t be a ‘Panican.’ (Read more from “President Trump Has China Hanging Over a Massive Tariff Cliff” HERE)
