U.S. Warns Travelers of ‘Violent Crime,’ Weak Policing in Popular Vacation Hot Spot

Officials are warning Americans to “exercise increased caution” when traveling to a popular summer tourist destination in light of violent crime rates and a lack of law enforcement resources throughout the country.

The United States Department of State has issued an updated travel advisory for the Dominican Republic, according to the agency’s website.

“Violent crime is a concern in the Dominican Republic despite more police presence in areas often visited by tourists,” the department said in a statement. “Do not display wealth and be wary of meeting individuals from online in secluded locations.”

The warning, which previously listed the Caribbean vacation destination as a Level 2 advisory, was posted on June 12 following a periodic update, according to a State Department spokesperson.

Countries are assigned advisories from Level 1-4 based on the area’s risk factors, such as civil unrest and natural disasters. (Read more from “U.S. Warns Travelers of ‘Violent Crime,’ Weak Policing in Popular Vacation Hot Spot” HERE)

‘U.S. Homeland’ Now Includes Greenland After Major Shakeup by Pentagon

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has taken action to have Greenland declared part of the “U.S. homeland” to be defended by American forces, according to a report in Military Times.

The Pentagon announced Tuesday that it was shifting responsibility for Greenland from U.S. European Command to U.S. Northern Command, with the Department of Defense framing “the revision as part of a broader review of its Unified Command Plan, which divides the world into separate military units and outlines the roles and responsibilities of U.S. combatant commands,” Military Times reported.

The U.S.-run Pituffik Space Base in northwestern Greenland “is one of the most strategically important military sites in the world,” according to The New York Times.

Since retaking office in January, President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to annex the Danish territory in the name of national security. “One way or the other, we’re going to get it,” Trump said of Greenland during a March speech before a joint session of Congress.

In a statement, a Pentagon spokesperson claimed, “[This] change will strengthen the Joint Force’s ability to defend the U.S. homeland, contributing to a more robust defense of the western hemisphere and deepening relationships with Arctic allies and partners.” (Read more from “‘U.S. Homeland’ Now Includes Greenland After Major Shakeup by Pentagon” HERE)

796 Dead Babies Found Hidden in Septic Tank at Unwed Mothers’ Home Run by Nuns

Excavation has begun on a septic tank at a site in Ireland that authorities believe contains the remains of nearly 800 dead babies and children who died at a home for unwed mothers run by Catholic nuns.

Many of the infant remains are feared to have been dumped in the cesspool known as “the pit” at the former institution in the small town of Tuam, County Galway, local historian Catherine Corless told Sky News.

In total, 798 children died at the home between 1925 and its closure in 1961, of which just two were buried in a nearby cemetery, Corless’ research found.

The other 796 children’s remains are believed to be under the site of the Bon Secours Mother and Baby Home, which was demolished in 1971 and is now surrounded by a modern apartment complex.

Bon Secours, known locally as The Home, was a maternity home for unmarried mothers and their children, run by a religious order of Catholic nuns. (Read more from “796 Dead Babies Found Hidden in Septic Tank at Unwed Mothers’ Home Run by Nuns” HERE)

Comptroller and Mayoral Candidate Lander Arrested by ICE at Federal Plaza in NYC

City comptroller Brad Lander was dramatically arrested by ICE agents Tuesday in a chaotic scene outside a federal immigration court – drawing outrage and support from his fellow Democratic mayoral primary candidates.

Eye-popping video from 26 Federal Plaza showed Lander being manhandled and cuffed by the feds after the comptroller vocally protested masked federal agents hauling away a man leaving an immigration hearing.

Lander repeatedly demanded to see a judicial warrant as he kept his hand clutched on the detainee’s shoulder, video obtained by The Post shows.

After Lander refused to let go, an officer could be heard saying, “Take him in,” prompting agents to cuff him.

“You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens,” Lander repeated in protest, video shows.

“I’m not obstructing, I am standing right here in the hallway. I asked to see the judicial warrant. … You don’t have the authority to arrest US citizens asking for a judicial warrant.” (Read more from “Comptroller and Mayoral Candidate Lander Arrested by ICE at Federal Plaza in NYC” HERE)

Trump Touts ‘Total Control’ of Iranian Airspace, Says U.S. Knows Where Ayatollah ‘Is Hiding’

President Donald Trump announced, “We now have complete and total control” of Iranian airspace and that the U.S. knows “exactly where” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “is hiding.”

Trump’s announcements came in a string of Truth Social posts.

“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff,’” Trump wrote.

“Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” he added.

Trump then said the United States knows where Khamenei is located.

Tulsi Gabbard Accuses Media of Taking Her Out of Context After Trump Addresses Iran Assessment

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard tells CNN she and President Donald Trump are “on the same page” when it comes to Iran’s nuclear capabilities and timeline. She accused the media of taking her out of context by leaving out her full testimony.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins asked Trump aboard Air Force One to respond to remarks reportedly made by Gabbard.

“Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon,” Collins said.

“I don’t care what she said,” Trump replied. “I think they were very close to having one.”

In response, Gabbard clarified in a post shared by CNN Capitol Hill reporter Sarah Ferris that she and the president were aligned in their assessment in March. (Read more from “Tulsi Gabbard Accuses Media of Taking Her Out of Context After Trump Addresses Iran Assessment” HERE)

Far-Left ‘Squad’ Democrats Sign On to Thomas Massie Bill to Prevent U.S. Forces From Engaging With Iran

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has introduced bipartisan legislation aiming to rein in President Donald Trump’s power when it comes to the American position on the Israel-Iran war.

“This is not our war. But if it were, Congress must decide such matters according to our Constitution,” Massie posted on X. “I’m introducing a bipartisan War Powers Resolution tomorrow to prohibit our involvement. I invite all members of Congress to cosponsor this resolution.”

While he remains the sole Republican backing such a legislative effort, several top Democrats from the far-left of the Democratic Party, including “Squad” members Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), have indicated they are signing on to the Massie proposal.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) replied directly: “Signing on.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) added, “I look forward to supporting this War Powers Resolution. The American people aren’t falling for it again. We were lied to about ‘weapons of mass destruction’ in Iraq that killed millions and forever changed lives. It’s unconstitutional for Trump to go to war without a vote in Congress.” (Read more from “Far-Left ‘Squad’ Democrats Sign On to Thomas Massie Bill to Prevent U.S. Forces From Engaging With Iran” HERE)

Trump Mulls Iran Strike Ahead Of High-Stakes Situation Room Briefing As He Says He Knows Where Ayatollah Is Hiding

President Donald Trump is reportedly seriously considering bombing Iran while revealing that the U.S. has knowledge of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s exact location, Trump said on Truth Social on Tuesday.

Three U.S. officials told Axios that Trump was seriously considering launching a strike on Iran, in particular using bunker busters to target the underground Fordow uranium enrichment facility. Additionally, Trump said that the U.S. is not going to attempt an assassination “for now,” but noted that his patience for the Supreme Leader was “wearing thin,” the president said in his Truth Social post.

Trump will reportedly meet with the National Security Council on Tuesday at 1 p.m. to further discuss whether or not to strike Iran, sources told Axios.

“We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding,” Trump wrote in his post. “He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

The U.S. has reportedly been weighing whether or not to join Israel in striking Iran’s nuclear arsenal since the beginning of the strikes June 12. Additionally, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not ruling out assassinating the Ayatollah. R. Kelly Reportedly Overdoses in Prison as His Lawyer Petitions for Trump Pardon

R&B recording artist R. Kelly was taken to the hospital after experiencing symptoms of an overdose while spending time in solitary confinement, per an emergency motion for his release.

“Bureau of Prisons officials administered an amount of medication that significantly exceeded a safe dose and caused Mr. Kelly to overdose, putting his life in jeopardy,” the third supplement to the emergency motion filed by his attorney Beau Brindley says.

The document also notes how the singer “takes medication for anxiety and to help him sleep, in addition to other medications.”

Brindley has been working to get his client released onto house arrest, claiming his life is in danger as long as he’s in prison, per People.

Kelly’s attorney also claimed his client required surgery that the prison was hindering him from getting. (Read more from “R. Kelly Reportedly Overdoses in Prison as His Lawyer Petitions for Trump Pardon” HERE)

Trump Refuses to Sign G7 Statement on Iran; Wants Total End to Nuclear Enrichment; Iran Cries Uncle: Wants to End Israeli Attacks, Negotiate With Trump

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump rejected the G7’s proposed statement on Iran because it called for monitoring of Iran’s nuclear activities, rather than an outright halt to Iran’s program of nuclear enrichment.

The Trump administration has been demanding that Iran halt all uranium enrichment, since enrichment past a certain level has no purpose other than developing the unique isotope necessary for nuclear weapons.

Iran has refused to agree, leading to the impasse in nuclear talks — and leading Israel to attack Iran last Friday rather than face the prospect of an imminent Iranian nuclear weapon. (Read more from “Trump Refuses to Sign G7 Statement on Iran; Wants Total End to Nuclear Enrichment” HERE)

Iran Cries Uncle: Wants to End Israeli Attacks, Negotiate With Trump

By Breitbart. Iran has sent messages to both Israel and the United States that it wants to end the war and to negotiate with President Donald Trump, and could give up its nuclear enrichment program to save the Iranian regime.

Reports of Iran’s eagerness to end the fight came as Israeli fighters attacked regime institutions in the capital city of Tehran, including the state broadcaster, after achieving total dominance of Iranian airspace.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

Iran has been urgently signaling that it seeks an end to hostilities and resumption of talks over its nuclear programs, sending messages to Israel and the U.S. via Arab intermediaries, Middle Eastern and European officials said.

In the midst of a ferocious Israeli air campaign, Tehran has told Arab officials it would be open to returning to the negotiating table as long as the U.S. doesn’t join the attack, the officials said. Iran also passed messages to Israel saying it is in the interest of both sides to keep the violence contained.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said the attacks will continue until Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missiles are destroyed, and he has shown no indication he is ready to stop. He has also said regime change isn’t a goal but could be a result given the Iranian leadership’s weakness.
