The chilling discovery of two roosters and a white dove — all decapitated and drained of blood — has authorities in upstate New York investigating a possible link to dark ritualistic sacrifices.

The gruesome find near Lake Carmel in Putnam County on Friday is just the latest in a series of recent troubling discoveries in the upstate community — with locals wondering if there’s a cult in their midst.

“The area where this bag was found was only a short distance from where other bags of mutilated animals have been found in recent months, possibly the result of ritualistic killings,” the Putnam County SPCA said in a Facebook post this week.

The bodies of the two roosters were found stuffed in a plastic bag, not far from where the white dove was found along a wooded area on Holland Drive near the lake in the town of Kent, officials said.

So far this year, 10 similar discoveries have been made in the area, including an incident in April when two butchered birds were stuffed in a garbage bag and dumped nearby, News12 reported.

Man Accused of Removing IV and ‘Spraying HIV Blood’ Into Hospital Employees’ Eyes

A North Carolina man was arrested nearly six months after he allegedly unhooked an IV from his arm and squirted HIV-positive blood at two hospital staffers while receiving treatment for his diabetes, according to reports.

Kameron Gilchrist, 25, was cuffed on Sept. 11 and slapped with two charges for assaulting emergency personnel during a bizarre incident at The University of North Carolina’s REX hospital on March 21, according to an arrest warrant.

Gilchrist reportedly tore his IV from his arm and “[sprayed] HIV blood into the eyes of [the] victim” as the pair of medical staff were “discharging [their] official duties,” the warrant, obtained by People, stated.

It’s unclear if the HIV-positive blood belonged to Gilchrist or if the two staffers contracted HIV after the exposure.

Man Arrested in Connection with Start of Deadly Pacific Palisades Fire

A man was arrested Tuesday as a suspect in setting the deadly Pacific Palisades fire in Los Angeles that claimed 12 lives and destroyed more than 6,000 homes in January.

Justice department officials announced at a news conference that Jonathan Rinderknecht, 29, a.k.a. “Jonathan Rinder,” and “Jon Rinder,” of Melbourne, Florida, 29, had been detained.

He is charged with destruction of property by means of fire.

The BBC reports authorities said evidence collected from the suspect’s digital devices showed an image he generated on ChatGPT depicting a burning city.

Russia Cuts Deals with Cuba, Venezuela to Challenge U.S. in the West

Russia’s rubber-stamp legislature passed an “intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation” with the communist government of Cuba on Tuesday, formalizing an already existing alliance providing cannon fodder for the invasion of Ukraine.

Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro also announced on Tuesday that he had solidified a “strategic partnership” with Russia that could allow Moscow greater ability to leverage influence in the Western Hemisphere, challenging the United States.

According to the Russian news agency Tass, the upper house of the Duma ratified an agreement that “will provide legal grounds to define the goals, areas and forms of bilateral military cooperation,” suggesting that such cooperation already existed between the two countries informally. The agreement is one step below the commitments of the mutual defense treaty that Russia signed with North Korea in June 2024, which preceded Pyongyang admitting that it had deployed troops to the war theater against Ukraine in Kursk.

Alexander Stepanov, a purported Russian “military expert,” told Tass that the military agreement with Cuba was a form of retaliation against President Donald Trump for his ongoing support for Ukraine, in particular concerns that the United States may soon provide Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles.

Trump Considering Pardons for Maxwell, Diddy; Supporters Outraged

By The Independent. President Donald Trump on Monday said he’d consider a pardon for Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted sex trafficker who conspired with the president’s late friend, pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, to traffic and abuse minor girls in multiple states.

He also said he’d been asked for a pardon by Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul who was sentenced to more than four years in federal prison following a federal prostitution conviction last week.

Speaking in the Oval Office during an event on approving a new mining road in Alaska, Trump was asked whether he’d consider clemency for Maxwell, a British socialite who was indicted on sex trafficking charges after Epstein, who once described himself as Trump’s best friend, hanged himself in a New York detention cell while awaiting trial on similar charges in 2019.

“You know, I haven’t heard the name in so long. I can say this, that I’d have to take a look at it. I would have to take a look,” Trump said.

He then said he would have to “speak to the DOJ” and stressed that he did not know “anything” about the matter despite the case dominating headlines for months over a bipartisan effort to force release of case files from the Justice Department’s attempt to prosecute Epstein. Laura Loomer warns against lobbying Trump to pardon Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell: ‘Do not do it. I repeat. Do not do it’

By The Independent. Laura Loomer, a right-wing activist who has growing influence with President Donald Trump, warned against those “lobbying” the administration for a Ghislaine Maxwell pardon, insinuating there could be consequences.

Shortly after the president told reporters Monday that he would “speak” to the Department of Justice about considering clemency for the convicted sex offender, Loomer posted a warning on X to those who may be advocating for Maxwell.

“I strongly advise AGAINST anyone lobbying the Trump admin and the DOJ to Pardon Ghislaine Maxwell,” Loomer wrote. “Do not do it. I repeat. Do not do it. There will be no coming back from that.”

Loomer added: “I repeat again. For the love of God. Do Not Do It.”

The political operative, 32, did not specify what exactly could happen to those who advocate for Maxwell but she has previously wielded her influence with the president to get people fired for what she perceives as disloyalty. Explosive Claim Around Charlie Kirk’s Killing Sparks MAGA Civil War

While the killing of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk last month launched a flurry of conspiracy theories, an explosive new claim made Monday by one of Kirk’s former associates has sparked a civil war among the MAGA right.

“Charlie was done with Israel bullying him, and I am now going to present to you proof of what I am saying,” said far-right influencer Candace Owens on Monday. “This is an actual group chat which happened two days before Charlie Kirk was assassinated.”

Owens went on to share an image of an alleged group chat that included Kirk and eight other individuals, naming just one of the other eight: Rob McCoy, the co-chair of Kirk’s conservative advocacy organization Turning Point USA.

In the text messages, Kirk allegedly complained about having “lost another huge Jewish donor,” something that would cost him “$2 million a year” because he insisted on inviting Tucker Carlson – an outspoken critic of the United States’ support for Israel – to an upcoming Turning Point event.

That donor is suspected to be conservative billionaire Robert Shillman, largely due to a New York Times report last week that said Shillman had “angrily questioned Kirk for giving a platform to Carlson,” and that he had informed Kirk he would be withdrawing a $2 million pledge to Turning Point, an account that lines up with Kirk’s alleged comments. MTG Turns Against Republicans in Shocking Flip on Government Shutdown

Democrats have gained an unlikely ally in their fight to extend expiring Affordable Care Act funding: MAGA Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene.

“I was not in Congress when all this Obamacare ‘Affordable Care Act’ bullshit started. I got here in 2021. As a matter of fact, the ACA made health insurance UNAFFORDABLE for my family after it was passed, with skyrocketing premiums higher than our house payment. Let’s just say as nicely as possible, I’m not a fan,” Greene wrote on Monday night. “But I’m going to go against everyone on this issue because when the tax credits expire this year my own adult children’s insurance premiums for 2026 are going to DOUBLE, along with all the wonderful families and hard-working people in my district.

“And I’m absolutely disgusted that health insurance premiums will DOUBLE if the tax credits expire this year. Also, I think health insurance and all insurance is a scam, just be clear!” Greene continued. “Not a single Republican in leadership talked to us about this or has given us a plan to help Americans deal with their health insurance premiums DOUBLING!!!”

It isn’t just Greene’s adult children who will be slammed by raising premium costs if tax credits aren’t extended. Millions of Americans will have to fork over thousands of additional dollars to make sure they can get basic, often lifesaving care in this country if the Obamacare subsidies expire. Greene joins Representative Thomas Massie as the highest-profile GOPers to criticize the shutdown, as Massie called the shutdown a distraction to avoid voting on the Jeffrey Epstein files.

“Our country sent $30 billion to Israel in 2024 alone killing countless innocent children and sent HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS to Ukraine in the past few years,” Greene added in her statement Monday. “By the way, I voted NO to all of that murder! America has funded the Ukrainian government, Ukrainian pensions, and Ukrainian businesses during this entire stupid war that America should have nothing to do with. Police in Australia Seize Guns From Dozens of Owners Who Reject Government Authority

Police in Western Australia have seized guns and revoked or suspended firearms permits from dozens of owners linked to what investigators describe as sovereign citizen ideologies, or views that reject government authority.

Officials linked the crackdown on firearms users believed to hold such views to the fatal shooting in August of two police officers in Victoria state, in the country’s east. The suspect in those killings, 56-year-old Dezi Freeman, remains at large, weeks after he is said to have killed two officers visiting his rural property to serve a search warrant.

In the years before the shooting, Freeman appeared to have embraced so-called sovereign citizen views during court appearances. Members of such movements use debunked legal theories to reject government authority.

Freeman is suspected of killing Detective Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart and wounding a third officer. Following the shooting, investigators in Western Australia used bolstered gun laws enacted in 2024 to identify weapons owners in their state who they said held similar views to Freeman’s. Israel To Spend Up To $4.1 Million on Propaganda Campaign Targeting American Christians

The Israeli Foreign Ministry is planning to spend up to $4.1 million for a propaganda campaign that will target American evangelical Christians, a project that’s being sold as the “largest Christian Church Geofencing Campaign in US history.”

The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported on a federal filing under the Foreign Agents Registration Act that shows the Israeli ministry has hired a newly formed US-based firm, Show Faith by Works LLC, which will target churchgoers with digital ads that are explicitly “pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian.”

The campaign will also involve creating a mobile “October 7 experience” that will visit Christian colleges, churches, and events. The document says the experience will involve a custom-built trailer designed by “Hollywood experts,” virtual reality headsets, set pieces, and full-length TVs for an “interactive experience.”

The filing lists hundreds of churches in California, Texas, Colorado, and Arizona that will be targeted by the information campaign. According to an invoice, Show Faith by Works expects to receive $3.25 million from the Israeli Foreign Ministry over a five-month period and includes a potential additional $835,000 for equipment and expansion of the campaign.

AI Threatens to Wipe Out 100 Million U.S. Jobs in the Next Decade, Report Warns

Artificial intelligence and automation technologies could eliminate up to 100 million jobs in the United States over the next ten years, according to a new report released Monday by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who serves as the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions.

The report — based in part on data from OpenAI’s ChatGPT — outlines the sweeping economic disruption that artificial labor could bring, affecting both white- and blue-collar professions across nearly every industry.

“The agricultural revolution unfolded over thousands of years. The industrial revolution took more than a century,” the report states. “Artificial labor could reshape the economy in less than a decade.”

Jobs Across Sectors at Risk

According to Sanders’ report, the rise of AI, robotics, and automation could threaten:

40% of registered nursing jobs
47% of truck driving positions
64% of accounting jobs
65% of teaching assistant roles
89% of fast-food service jobs

The report warns that these changes could devastate the livelihoods of millions of Americans who rely on traditional employment sectors that are increasingly being replaced by machines or software.

Major corporations such as Amazon and Walmart have already laid off tens of thousands of workers while investing heavily in automation. These companies — among the largest by revenue in the U.S. — are seen as early indicators of a trend that could soon spread across the economy.

Sanders criticized what he views as a profit-driven motive behind these advancements. In an op-ed published by Fox News, he accused corporate America of using AI to slash labor costs and further concentrate wealth at the top.

“Artificial intelligence and robotics being developed by these multi-billionaires today will allow corporate America to wipe out tens of millions of decent-paying jobs, cut labor costs and boost profits,” Sanders wrote.

He pointed to tech leaders like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Mark Zuckerberg — all of whom are investing heavily in AI — as driving forces behind this transformation. Sanders questioned whether their motives include improving the lives of ordinary Americans.

“Is it because they want to improve the standard of living of the 60% of our people who live paycheck-to-paycheck…?” Sanders wrote. “Maybe. But I doubt it.”

The threat of mass job displacement has intensified the debate over AI policy in Washington.

Senate Democrats, including Sanders, are pushing for tighter regulation, worker protections, and structural reforms — including a 32-hour workweek, stronger union rights, and a “robot tax” on companies that replace workers with machines.

In contrast, the Trump-aligned wing of the GOP argues that America should focus on dominating AI development, warning that China could gain a strategic edge if the U.S. slows down due to regulation. Former President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of keeping AI leadership out of Beijing’s hands, framing it as a national security issue.
