The Senate Considering Vote on the Keystone Pipeline?

In a last-ditch effort to possibly help Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) win the run-off election in Louisiana, the Senate may possibly finally vote on approving the Keystone XL pipeline. This vote comes at the beginning of the lame-duck session of Congress following last Tuesday’s elections.

Bloomberg reports:

Senate Democrats are considering scheduling a vote in the lame-duck session to force approval of the Keystone XL pipeline, a party aide said, a move that may bolster Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu’s re-election battle.

The Senate Democratic aide, who requested anonymity to discuss the plans, said the vote was under consideration, yet specific language hadn’t been determined.
