Trump supporters waited outside the facility, praying for the president’s recovery. A contingent of his detractors grew, too.

Masked Trump Salutes Fans Outside Walter Reed Hospital In Motorcade Drive-by
By Washington Examiner A masked President Trump surprised fans who have gathered outside the Walter Reed Medical Center since he was diagnosed with COVID-19 with a motorcade drive-by, before heading back into the hospital.
Earlier Sunday, the president tweeted his support for the gathering outside, saying that his supporters care about the direction of the country and see his administration is making America “greater than ever before.”
“I really appreciate all of the fans and supporters outside of the hospital,” Trump wrote. “The fact is, they really love our Country and are seeing how we are MAKING IT GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE!”
He followed that tweet up with a video less than two hours later, echoing his remarks and praising the “amazing” work done by the medical staff at Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

He then hinted that he was going to make a “little surprise visit” to the “patriots out there on the street,” before footage subsequently emerged of Trump, wearing a mask, waving at the cheering crowd from his motorcade.

Huge Rallies Over the Weekend to Show Support for President Trump
By The Blaze. Supporters of President Donald Trump flooded the streets of Washington, D.C., on Saturday. There were multiple pro-Trump rallies in and near the nation’s capital, including outside the medical center where the president is recuperating from coronavirus. There was also a clash between Black Lives Matter protesters and Trump supporters.
Soon after Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis, supporters of the president began appearing outside the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where the commander in chief was admitted for precautionary care. On Saturday, crowds of people wearing MAGA hats and waving American flags lined the street outside Walter Reed. There was a prayer rally held for President Trump outside the medical facility.
