Patriots Coach Says His Player Must Be “Educated” to “Be Inclusive” After Posting Bible Verse in Support of Christian NBA Player
. . .Yesterday, we reported that the Chicago Bulls booted a vocal Christian player, Jaden Ivey, after he posted a video discussing how people get canceled and censored for disagreeing with gay “Pride” events.
NFL player TreVeyon Henderson, who is known for regularly posting Bible verses to social media, saw the news and responded to it with a retweet and another Bible verse:
“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:10 https://t.co/CTpkaMx0oT— TreVeyon Henderson (@TreVeyonH4) March 31, 2026
Instead of defending his player’s right to religion and freedom of expression, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel (gently) threw Treyveon under the woke bus.
#Patriots HC Mike Vrabel on TreVeyon Henderson’s controversial post:
“I love TreVeyon… He cares deeply about his faith… I want them to be able to express what they believe… But, I also wanna make sure that they’re educated. We want to be inclusive.”

He praised Treyveon’s character and attitude, and said he appreciates Treyveon’s faith, but then Vrabel said this:
I want them to be able to express what they believe … but also want to make sure that they’re educated. We want to be inclusive … We represent the team and we represent the organization.
