Riley Gaines detailed how she and her female teammates were forced to share a locker room with male swimmer Lia Thomas in congressional testimony on Wednesday.

Gaines, a former NCAA swimmer for the University of Kentucky, competed against Thomas, a biological male, on the University of Pennsylvania women’s team, tying for fifth place in the 200-yard freestyle. Thomas beat out his female competitors by 1.75 seconds during the NCAA championships in March 2022. Thomas, who was ranked #462 among men, quickly rose to #1 in the women’s category.

“In addition to being forced to give up our award and our titles and our opportunities, the NCAA forced me and my female swimmers to share a locker room with Thomas, a 6’4” 22-year-old male equipped with and exposing male genitalia,” Gaines said. “Let me be clear about this, we were not forewarned we would be sharing a locker room. No one asked for our consent, and we did not give our consent.”

New Emails Show COVID Vaccine Mandates Were Based on a Lie

It is not uncommon for politicians or bureaucrats to lie. What seems to be unique, though, is just how common and consequential the lies were during the COVID pandemic.

On Monday, we got a bombshell. New documents indicate the entire justification for vaccine mandates was based on a falsehood — and that public health officials knew it.

Emails obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request show that CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and former NIH Director Francis Collins were aware of, and discussed, “breakthrough cases” of COVID in January 2021 — right when the vaccines became widely available. In her email, Walensky says that “clearly,” it is an “important area of study,” links to a study raising the issue, and assures the person she is sending it to that Dr. Anthony Fauci is looped into these conversations.

However, in public, Walensky was saying something quite different. Two months after discussing this data, she said vaccinated people “don’t carry the virus” and “don’t get sick.” In a congressional hearing, after it became clear people were able to get infected with COVID even after receiving the vaccine, she defended her original statements by claiming it was true at the time she said it — namely, for the strands we were dealing with in early 2021.

Biden Admin Misses Deadline to Declassify Critical COVID-19 Intel

The Biden administration missed a deadline Sunday to declassify information related to the origins of COVID-19, triggering backlash from scientists and politicians alike.

After President Joe Biden signed the COVID Origins Act in March, the director of national intelligence had 90 days to declassify intelligence pertaining to the origins of COVID-19 and the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan, China. The administration did not release that intelligence, reportedly because they are working to smooth over fraught relations with Beijing.

Republicans, including Indiana Sen. Mike Braun and Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley, blasted the administration for not complying with the law the president signed.

“We need to know the truth about how this pandemic started and China’s role in covering it up, and the White House must respect the text of the law passed unanimously in both chambers by the people’s representatives,” Braun told The Washington Times.

Merrick Garland Asked Point Blank If Hunter Biden Plea Deal Is A ‘Different Standard Of Justice’

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland was asked directly whether the deal struck between President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) on federal gun and tax charges displays a “different standard of justice” at a news conference in Sweden on Wednesday.

Hunter Biden will avoid jail time by pleading guilty to two tax misdemeanors and entering a probation agreement for a gun charge with the DOJ, prompting criticism that the legal treatment wasn’t as harsh as former President Donald Trump’s. When asked about the degree of punishment Hunter Biden received, Garland referred the reporter to the U.S. Attorney on the case for questions about the investigation’s conclusion.

“From the moment of my appointment as attorney general, I would leave this matter in the hands of the United States Attorney, who was appointed by the previous president, and assigned to this matter by the previous administration, that he would be given full authority to decide the matter as he decided was appropriate, and that’s what he’s done,” Garland said, according to the video clip.

Chest Binders and Sleeping Bags: Summer Camps for Transgender Kids as Young as 4 the New Craze

From New Hampshire to California, overnight summer camps for transgender children as young as 4 are cropping up all over the United States, with many operating from secret locations where counselors reinforce campers’ gender dysphoria with voice training, makeup sessions, and other “trans-centered activities.”

At Camp Lilac, an overnight camp in an undisclosed location in Central Ohio, more than 100 kids as young as 12 are free to “socialize, grow, and express themselves in an environment without caregiver supervision,” according to its website. By “caregivers,” the site refers to parents, who may volunteer at the camp but cannot attend sessions with their own children. A typical day at Camp Lilac includes “trans-centered activities” such as makeup and hair tutorials and voice training.

“My son has to have his defenses up and maxed all day, everyday until he gets home,” said one parent quoted on Camp Lilac’s site. “At camp, he’s just who he is! Unapologetically! Running around in his [chest] binder and not having to explain himself.”

Pentagon Attacks Sen. Tuberville, Suggests Murdering Soldiers’ Babies Is Critical to National Security

The Pentagon on Tuesday slammed Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) for setting a “dangerous precedent” by holding up more than 200 general and flag officer nominations over the Defense Department’s new abortion policy.

“Without these leaders in place, these holes severely limit the department’s ability to ensure the right person is in place at the right time, and to ensure a strategic readiness and operational success,” said Pentagon deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh at a Tuesday briefing.

Singh said the holdup was placing Washington’s ability to counter Russia and China at risk.

“These holds set a dangerous precedent and puts our military readiness at risk at a time when our military is expected to defend the nation and meet the acute threat of Russia and address the pacing challenge of the PRC,” she continued, referring to the People’s Republic of China.

Tuberville has been blocking the nominees from confirmation in the Senate since March over the Pentagon’s policy, which provides paid time off and reimburses travel costs for servicemembers who travel for an abortion. Not a Joke: ABC Analyst Says Hunter Got Harsher Treatment Because He’s a Biden

News Nation host and ABC News Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams claimed Wednesday that President Joe Biden’s embattled son Hunter was treated more harshly by the Justice Department than he would have been if his last name had not been Biden.

Abrams joined host George Stephanopoulos on ABC News’s “Good Morning America,” and he argued that Hunter Biden might not have been prosecuted at all if Republicans were not trying to connect the president to his alleged crimes.

ABC’s chief justice correspondent Pierre Thomas set the scene, suggesting that the younger Biden’s alleged crimes were part of a Republican effort to damage President Biden: “Republicans have long sought to make Hunter Biden’s troubles and financial dealings, including those in Ukraine and China, a political millstone for his father. Word of Hunter Biden’s deal set off a political firestorm, with Republicans claiming he got preferential treatment.”

Missing Titanic Sub: Dire Animation Suggests How Far It’s Sunk (VIDEO)

Amid desperate efforts to rescue the five passengers trapped aboard the Titan, a video has circulated illustrating just how deep the Titanic-bound submersible could have sunk.

The unsettling animated clip is currently making waves online.

The dizzying 3-D demo, created by Spanish animation company MetaBallStudios, depicts a virtual underwater seascape filled with global landmarks, as if an Atlantis-esque apocalypse had drowned Earth’s treasures.

As the illustrated submersible descends into the digital depths, the video’s perspective passes various global landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty (305 feet tall), the Eiffel Tower (984 feet) and the Burj Khalifa (2,719 feet).

Other measuring sticks include a Typhoon-class submarine’s test depth (1,312 feet) and the bottom of the Southern Ocean (10,728 feet).

IRS Agent Testimony on Alleged Hunter Biden Coverup Poised for Release

A House committee is expected to decide Thursday morning whether to release transcripts of testimony from two IRS whistleblowers who accused the Justice Department of a cover-up in the Hunter Biden tax fraud investigation.

Delaware US Attorney David Weiss announced Tuesday that the first son, 53, had agreed to cop to two tax-crime misdemeanors plus a felony gun charge that can be expunged after two years.

Hunter Biden is expected to receive probation, despite prison sentences in similar cases.

The House Ways and Means Committee will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday to discuss closed-door depositions by the whistleblowers amid outrage from Republicans and lawyers whose clients were treated more harshly for similar conduct.

“If the federal government is not treating all taxpayers equally, Congress has a duty to hold agencies accountable by providing transparency and bringing new facts to light,” the committee’s Republican majority said in a statement. CIA Suggests Ukraine Has Gone Rogue, Could Trigger WWIII

By Jeet Heer. The United States is heavily invested in the Ukraine-Russia conflict—not just in financial terms but also in shared risk. Washington has given more than $75 billion in aid to Ukraine, a serious chunk of change, yet far less than the possible consequences for the world if the war were to spiral out of control. After all, Russia might be a decrepit superpower, but it still possesses a massive nuclear arsenal and the ability to inflict damage well beyond Ukraine. In its public rhetoric, the Biden administration has walked a tightrope, insisting that it is balancing the moral necessity of helping Ukraine defend itself against external aggression with caution in making sure the war doesn’t ramp up into a broader conflict. Yet the administration’s claim of working to forestall escalation has a major loophole: Will the United States be able to stop Ukraine (or elements of the Ukrainian government) from escalating?

Recent reporting about the September 2022 bombing of the Nord Stream gas pipeline suggests a worrying possibility: that elements of the Ukrainian government have effectively gone rogue, carrying out risky operations in defiance of the superpower that funds their war. If that’s so, then it’s entirely possible that the United States and its NATO allies have lost the ability to apply the brakes in order to stop the war from spreading.

The Nord Stream bombing remains unsolved, and there have been multiple conflicting narratives. In the immediate aftermath of the bombing, some members of the Biden administration suggested that Russia was the culprit. This was always an implausible claim. Vladimir Putin is a criminal dictator who invades neighboring countries for gain, so why would he blow up infrastructure that profits his own country? In February 2023, legendary investigative reporter Seymour Hersh published an article claiming that the Biden administration itself planned and executed the explosion. Hersh’s article was based on anonymous sources and it was adamantly denied by the government. Yet, even as Hersh’s reporting was lambasted, it did have the positive effect of forcing mainstream media outlets to reinvestigate the bombing. Writing in The Nation in May, James Bamford noted the limits of Hersh’s reporting—and also pointed to evidence suggesting that American intelligence had information about the bombing prior to its happening. Bamford’s article was prescient in noticing the implication of evidence indicating American foreknowledge. . .

On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported, “The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency warned the Ukrainian government not to attack the Nord Stream gas pipelines last summer after it obtained detailed information about a Ukrainian plot to destroy a main energy connection between Russia and Europe.” One detail of this report is worth dwelling on: “The plan was to stage the attack after the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s exercise called Baltic Ops that took place in the area above the pipelines and ended on June 17.” This suggests that the alleged Ukrainian plan included a desire to frame NATO for the attack—which could have easily led to a wider conflict if the Russian government took the bait.

The new revised CIA narrative, if one pieces together various newspaper accounts, goes something like this: In June 2022, intelligence agencies in the Netherlands got wind of an alleged Ukrainian plot against the Nord Stream pipeline. The CIA then asked the Ukrainians to stop the bombing. The Ukrainians promised to shut down the operation—but in reality just reorganized it with a new leader. Biden Warns the Threat of Putin’s Using Tactical Nuclear Weapons Is ‘Real’

Putin made the comments Monday as Ukraine pressed on with its counteroffensive to reclaim occupied territories, just days after the Kremlin began deploying the weapons to Belarus. . .

“When I was out here about two years ago saying I worried about the Colorado River drying up, everybody looked at me like I was crazy,” Biden told a group of donors in California on Monday, Reuters reported.
