Chinese Government Says It Will Not Allow Forced Sale of TikTok by US

Chinese government officials have come out in official opposition to any forced sale of TikTok, creating a road bump for the Biden administration’s attempt to require a transfer of the platform to a domestic owner for it to stay in the United States.

The Chinese Commerce Ministry argued on Thursday that the proposed sale of TikTok to a U.S. client would involve the export of technology and has to be approved by the Chinese government. The government would likely not support it because it would undermine global investor confidence in the U.S. The government weighed in just before TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew is scheduled to testify before Congress.

“If the news is true, China will firmly oppose it,” ministry spokeswoman Shu Jueting said, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, an interdepartmental agency that reviews U.S. sanctions with international businesses, demanded that Chinese parent company ByteDance sell its stake in TikTok or risk being banned.

Chew has stated that TikTok will protect user data in the U.S. through “Project Texas,” a plan to store all U.S. data on localized servers. (Read more from “Chinese Government Says It Will Not Allow Forced Sale of TikTok by US” HERE)

White House Doesn’t Deny Biden Family China Payout After Joe Biden Did (VIDEO)

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday did not deny Biden family members received a collective $1.3 million payout from a CCP-linked entity after President Joe Biden denied the payout.

Joe Biden falsely claimed Friday his family members did not receive a $1.3 million cut funneled through a $3 million dollar wire transfer to Biden family business associate Robinson Walker — a cut even Hunter Biden’s acknowledged was true.

“House Oversight says they’ve got bank records showing a Chinese energy company paying three Biden family members through a third party. What were they paid for?” Fox News’s Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre.

Jean-Pierre replied by dodging the question without denying the payments were received by the Biden family members.

“Look, I’m — I’m just not going to respond to that from here,” she said. “And I don’t even where to begin to even answer that question because, again, it’s been lies and lies and inaccuracy for the past couple years.”

Disney will play host to the annual Out & Equal Workplace Summit scheduled to take place September 12 to 14, according to a Miami Herald report. The conference will draw a large range of corporate executives, including HR professionals and DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) administrators from companies across the country.

The conference boasts several corporate sponsors, including Apple, Amazon, Uber, Walmart, and even Cracker Barrel. Disney has reportedly committed to hosting next year’s conference as well. Last year’s summit took place in Las Vegas.

The organization has publicly condemned President Donald Trump, saying in 2019 that he is “unfit to serve” and “should be removed from office.” (Read more from “Report: Disney World in Orlando to Host Conference on Gay and Transgender Rights” HERE)

TikTok CEO Refuses to Say Communist China Has ‘Persecuted’ Uyghurs (VIDEO)

The CEO of TikTok declined to comment Thursday when asked if China was persecuting Uyghur Muslims during a Congressional hearing, instead saying he was there to talk about the controversial app.

“Do you agree that the Chinese government has persecuted the Uyghur population?” Republican Rep. Debbie Lesko of Arizona asked Shou Zi Chew during the hearing held by the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

“It is deeply concerning to hear about all accounts of human rights abuse,” Chew said. “My role here is to explain what our platform does.”

Chew dodged further questions about the ongoing persecution of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang Province, where documents obtained and released by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation reported on aspects of the Chinese government’s actions in the western province. Donald Trump Hits Back at Ron DeSantis: ‘Take a Look at His Polls, Which Are Crashing’; Trump Has a #1 Hit on the Billboard Charts

By Breitbart. Former President Donald Trump shot back at Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Thursday by pointing to polling numbers after the governor recently criticized him.

“Ron DeSanctimonious is running—without running! … But he should take a look at his Polls, which are crashing like few people have seen before,” Trump said. “That’s because he’s merely an average REPUBLICAN Governor who has great Public Relations, far better than deserved.”

A Monmouth University poll released Tuesday revealed that 41 percent of GOP voters want Trump to win the GOP nomination, putting him 14 points above DeSantis’s 27 percent. Additional recent polling has also shown Trump trouncing DeSantis in a hypothetical matchup.

Trump continued to attack “DeSanctimonious” in a second Truth Social post. Referencing DeSantis’s interview with Piers Morgan in which he decided to engage with the former president, Trump said the interview was a desperate attempt to “rescue his failing Campaign.” DeSantis has not yet announced a GOP primary bid, though his campaign launch appears likely. Trump said:

While I am fighting against Radical Left Lunatics, Persecutors, and unfair Prosecutors who want to destroy us all, Ron DeSanctimonious is not working for the people of Florida as he should be, he is too busy chatting with a Ratings Challenged TV Host from England, desperately trying to rescue his failing Campaign—But it’s my fault, I put him there.

Donald Trump Has a #1 Hit on the Billboard Charts

By Townhall. Amid Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case against former President Donald Trump, the 45th president is making news in an entirely different arena: music.

Trump’s song “Justice for All” with the J6 Prison Choir entered Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart at #1 this week, beating out “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, “Last Night” by Morgan Wallen, and Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick.

According to Billboard, Donald Trump and the J6 Prison Choir’s recording “sold 33,000 downloads March 10-16,” putting it at the top of the chart. More than one-third of those sales (39 percent), Billboard noted, “occurred March 11, when its official video premiered on online video sharing platform Rumble.” (Read more from “Donald Trump Has a #1 Hit on the Billboard Charts” HERE)

Trump Grand Jury Hearing Canceled Today, Delaying Possible Indictment

The Manhattan grand jury hearing evidence against former President Donald Trump won’t reconvene Wednesday as scheduled, court officials told The Post.

The afternoon session was unexpectedly canceled by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the sources said.

Members of the panel were told to stay home and be on standby for Thursday, a law enforcement source said.

It’s unclear what prompted the move, which forestalls a potentially unprecedented indictment of the 45th president in connection with the payment of $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The October 2016 cash transfer was admittedly arranged by former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen to cover up Daniels’ alleged 2006 affair with Trump, who’s denied cheating on his wife Melania Trump with her. (Read more from “Trump Grand Jury Hearing Canceled Today, Delaying Possible Indictment” HERE)

WATCH: This Is DeSantis’ Favorite Trump Nickname for Him

Donald Trump’s likely sparring partner in the race for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination said the former prez can call him whatever he wants, including “winner.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was asked by Piers Morgan if he preferred to be called “Ron DeSanctimonious” or “Meatball Ron” by his mentor-turned-rival, in an interview set to air Thursday on TalkTV’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

The Republican told Morgan he didn’t know “how to spell the sanctimonious one.

“I don’t really know what it means, but I kind of like it. It’s long, it’s got a lot of vowels. We’ll go with that. That’s fine,” he quipped.

DeSantis then added: “You can call me whatever you want, just as long as you also call me a winner.” (Read more from “This Is DeSantis’ Favorite Trump Nickname for Him” HERE)

Mainstream Media Gives ‘Woman of the Year’ Honor to Transgender Democrat

USA Today honored a biological male Democratic lawmaker who identifies as a transgender woman on its annual “Women of the Year” list.

Democratic state Rep. Leigh Finke is the first “openly transgender” person to be elected and serve in Minnesota’s state legislature. Late last week, Finke was selected as the state’s nominee for the “Women of the Year” list. The list began in 2022 as a continuation of “Women of the Century,” which celebrated 100 years of women having the right to vote.

“It’s a dramatic understatement to say that I am beyond honored to see my name among this list of honorees,” Finke wrote on Twitter. . .

Last year, Townhall covered how USA Today honored Dr. Rachel Levine , the U.S. assistant secretary for health, on the same list. Levine, a four-star admiral, was born a biological male, Richard Levine, and transitioned to live as a female. Previously, Levine was secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Fauci Filmed Laughing off Lab-Leak Theory, Wishing He’d Pushed Mask Mandates Sooner

Dr. Anthony Fauci was shown laughing off the widely accepted lab-leak theory as “molecularly impossible” in a new documentary — while also saying he would’ve implemented quarantines and mask mandates sooner.

The then-White House adviser was followed by PBS throughout 2021 and 2022 as he became a polarizing figure while leading President Biden’s response to the pandemic.

In it, he railed against Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) “insidiously” suggesting in Congress in July 2021 that his National Institutes of Health had funded gain-of-function research at the lab in Wuhan where COVID first emerged.

Fauci confirmed that the “number of experiments that needed to be done on viruses” include “doing something under certain circumstances that make a pathogen more transmissible or more pathogenic.”

“Which some people refer to as ‘gain of function,’” he said with a look of disgust at the term he has always denied. (Read more from “Fauci Filmed Laughing off Lab-Leak Theory, Wishing He’d Pushed Mask Mandates Sooner” HERE)

Supreme Court Overturns Another Abortion Ruling

On Monday, the Supreme Court vacated a federal appeals court ruling that upheld a minor’s right to seek court permission for an abortion without parental notification.

The Supreme Court’s decision was issued because it believed the previous decision was moot following the Dobbs ruling in June of last year. The Dobbs ruling overturned Roe v. Wade and ended the federal constitutional right to abortion.

The case before the justices concerned a 17-year-old in Missouri who asked a court for permission to terminate a pregnancy without notifying her parents, as required by state law. The lower court clerk told the girl that her parents would be notified despite her wishes. After traveling to Illinois for the procedure, she sued, arguing that the court trampled her constitutional rights. . .

The Supreme Court’s ruling directs the appeals court to vacate the judgment in the Missouri case and declare it moot. The ruling will have no practical effect in Missouri, which currently has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country, with no exemptions for rape or incest. The procedure is only permissible to save the pregnant person’s life or prevent severe damage to their health.
