Jill Biden Claims ‘Hunter Is Innocent’

First Lady Jill Biden asserted that her stepson, Hunter, is innocent amid accusations from federal agents that there is substantial evidence to criminally charge him.

Biden made the claims during an exclusive interview with NBC News in her East Wing office. Her stepson is under federal investigation for allegedly committing tax and gun crimes and is at risk of being prosecuted.

“Everybody and their brother has investigated Hunter,” she said. “They keep at it, and at it, and at it. I know that Hunter is innocent. I love my son, and I will keep looking forward.”

The Federal District of Delaware opened an investigation into Biden in 2018 for allegedly dodging his taxes in 2015 and violating gun regulations when he purchased a firearm. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) placed a $112,805 lien on Biden in 2015 while he served on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings. Pro-Democracy Protests Turn Deadly in African Nation

Pro-democracy protests in Chad turned deadly amid clashes on Thursday between protestors and security forces.

Newly-appointed Prime Minster Saleh Kebzabo said the protests, which took place in the capital of N’Djamena and several other cities, led to 50 deaths and 300 injuries, according to Reuters. The process of compiling casualties remains ongoing.

The protests centered around frustration over the decision of Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno to delay a transition to democracy in the African nation, according to Reuters. Thursday was originally supposed to mark the end of the transitional period. . .

The International Federation for Human Rights and associated organizations in Chad outlined reports of violent repression on the part of governmental security forces involving the use of live bullets along with the arbitrary detention and torture of protestors, Reuters reported.

Four people died outside the U.S. embassy in N’Djamena, the BBC reported. U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price in a statement condemned the violence in Chad and emphasized American support for a peaceful transition to democracy in the country. Data Shows Conservatives Are Happier Than Leftists

A tweet from the researcher Brad Wilcox recently caught my attention. “Liberals,” he wrote, “are about 15 percentage points less likely” to be truly satisfied with their lives. On the same day that he tweeted out this compelling piece of information, Wilcox, a researcher studying family growth and economic trends, wrote an enlightening article expanding on this topic.

Liberals, he wrote, “are about 18 percentage points less likely to be ‘completely satisfied’ with their ‘mental health’ than conservatives.” Interestingly, he added, the issue of satisfaction, or lack thereof, appears to be especially “acute” for liberal women. According to the author, only 15 percent of liberals are “completely satisfied” with their lives and mental health. On the other hand, 31 percent of conservative women are “completely satisfied” with their lives, and 36 percent with their mental health.

As Wilcox noted, two family-related factors help explain this “ideological gap.” They are marital status and family satisfaction. In short, conservatives between the ages of 18-55 are “about 20 percentage points more likely to be married” than their liberal peers, “as well as 18 percentage points more likely to be satisfied with their families.” Marriage and family are directly associated with happiness, psychological and spiritual growth, and fewer mental health issues. Marriage is a key predictor of party identification; it’s also a key predictor of satisfaction.

The problem — one that is growing in size, I might add — facing liberals involves fully embracing a false narrative. Wilcox argued that too many on the left “have embraced the false narrative that the path to happiness runs counter to marriage and family life, not towards it.” Wrongly, they believe independence from the supposed shackles of domestic life will make them happier. They fall for the harmful narratives being pushed by mainstream media outlets, celebrating the dissolution of marriage and the rise of childless women. Wilcox criticized a recently published and widely read story by the author Molly Smith that appeared in Bloomberg. In the piece, Smith made a wholly inaccurate claim: Women who stay single and don’t have kids get richer and will continue to get richer. The DOJ Is Hiding Information About Biden’s Attempts to Interfere in U.S. Elections

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is slow-walking its response to a federal court order mandating that the agency forfeit records pertaining to President Joe Biden’s March 2021 executive order that directed federal agencies to develop plans for federal interference in state election administration.

On Thursday evening, the agency filed a motion for summary judgment with the Fort Myers Division of the U.S. Middle District Court of Florida in an attempt to conceal communication records related to Executive Order 14019, which required all federal departments to “consider ways to expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process.” In law, “summary judgment” is a decision issued by a court based on statements and evidence for one party against another without going to a full trial.

The move to shield the records in question from the public comes after a federal judge mandated in July that the agency must turn over documents related to Biden’s order to the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), which sued the DOJ back in April after its officials failed to respond to FGA’s July 2021 open records requests. While the DOJ ultimately turned over a few of the records to FGA last month, the documents were heavily redacted and did not include the DOJ’s 15-page “strategic plan” on how the agency intends to comply with Biden’s executive order.

In their Thursday legal filing arguing for a summary judgment, the DOJ claimed that its Civil Rights Division (CRT) “has submitted a reasonably specific declaration” describing the search that CRT “conducted for records responsive to FGA’s [Freedom of Information Act] request” and that documents withheld or redacted by the DOJ are protected under the “presidential communications privilege.” (Read more from “The DOJ Is Hiding Information About Biden’s Attempts to Interfere in U.S. Elections” HERE)

Travesty of Justice: Bannon Sentenced to 4 Months Hard Prison Time for Defying Disgraced Jan 6 Committee

Former Trump White House official Steve Bannon has been sentenced to four months in prison and a $6,500 fine for contempt of Congress.

Bannon was found guilty of contempt of Congress in July after he ignored a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee.

“I want to say one thing — I respect the judge, the sentence he came down with today is his decision. I’ve been totally respectful to this entire process on the legal side,” Bannon said after the sentencing.

Bannon was released pending appeal, which he and his legal team promised to make. If an appeal is not made, Bannon must surrender voluntarily by Nov. 15, U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols ruled.

New American Values: Biden Funding Ecuadorian Drag Shows

According to the Biden administration, drag shows are as American as apple pie.

This week, Fox News revealed that United States taxpayers’ have been funding “drag shows” in Ecuador to promote “diversity and inclusion efforts” via the State Department.

In late September, the State Department awarded a $20,600 grant to the non-profit Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano (CEN), Fox News’ Jessica Chasmar reported. That money will be used for “3 workshops,” “12 drag theater performances,” and a “2-minute documentary,” according to the grant’s description. The project runs until August 31, 2023.

Of course, the State Department exists to “protect and promote U.S. security, prosperity, and democratic values and shape an international environment in which all Americans can thrive.”

So what do men wearing lingerie and make-up while pretending to be grotesque women have to do with any of those goals?

Sandy Hook Families Seek $2.75 Trillion From Alex Jones

Sandy Hook families asked a Connecticut judge to order Alex Jones to pay $2.75 trillion in damages in addition to the almost $1 billion a jury awarded for defamation, claiming only “the highest possible punitive damages,” will stop the Infowars host from continuing to harm them.

The families said they’re entitled to the amount because Jones broke a state law barring the sale of products using false statements. They reached the sum by multiplying the state law’s $5,000 per-violation fine by the 550 million social media exposures Jones’ audience received on his Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts in the three years after a school shooting that claimed the lives of 20 first graders and six educators in 2012.

Jones called family members “crisis actors” for years and said their loved ones weren’t murdered during an elementary school massacre. He denied his statements were defamatory.

“Alex Jones perpetrates this attack for one reason: greed,” the families’ lawyers said in the filing Friday. “Alex Jones will never treat them like real people, because they are too valuable to him as targets.”

State Judge Barbara Bellis will determine the final amount Jones must pay. She has previously said Jones violated the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act, or CUTPA, by selling supplements and survival gear during shows that featured his false claims about Sandy Hook. Newsmax Cuts Ties With Lara Logan After She Said World Leaders ‘Dine on the Blood of Children’ (VIDEO)

The Newsmax cable news outlet has severed ties with Lara Logan after the former “60 Minutes” correspondent went on a bizarre rant alleging that world leaders “dine on the blood of children.”

Logan, an award-winning former war correspondent, was interviewed Wednesday by Newsmax host Eric Bolling, who anchors a show called “The Balance.”

Bolling invited Logan to his program to discuss global elites and their favoritism toward leftist policies. He then asked Logan about the situation along the southern border, where undocumented migrants have crossed into the United States in droves. . .

Logan then added: “And they may think that they’re going to become gods. That’s what they tell us. You’ve all known [historian Yuval Noah] Harari and all the rest of them at the World Economic Forum.

Biden Admin Reportedly Unaware of “National Security Review” of Musk Ventures

Twitter is paring some of its overnight declines on reports that the White House is not aware of national security review for Musk Ventures (including Starlink and his deal for Twitter).

Of course, The White House is not supposed to comment on (or in fact even know about) what The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) does, so this statement is not entirely surprising.

“It does seem fanciful that the U.S. Government would view Twitter as a national security asset,” Canaccord Genuity’s Quest analyst Graham Simpson said in an email.

As we detailed overnight, one month ago we joked that should the Delaware judge force Musk to buy Twitter, then none other than the US government would step in and prevent the South African from gaining control over the blue-checkmark echo chamber of record, the one social media network which congressional testimony after congressional testimony has argued it can manipulate the outcome of elections.

Well, that prediction is about to come true, because according to Bloomberg, the Biden administration is discussing whether the US should subject some of Elon Musk’s ventures to national security reviews, including the deal for Twitter and SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network, citing people familiar with the matter. Russia Envoy to U.S.: Channel That Stopped Nuclear War 60 Years Ago Is Dead

By Newsweek. Asecret, direct channel between the Kremlin and the White House helped to prevent nuclear war 60 years ago, as Moscow and Washington engaged in a nuclear standoff known in the United States as the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Today, however, with U.S.-Russia relations at their lowest point since the end of the Cold War and new talk of nuclear contingencies emerging from both sides, Moscow’s envoy in Washington has told Newsweek that no such communication now exists, setting the stage for a new and dangerous era for the two nations, and for the rest of the world.

Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., recalled the words of his predecessor, Anatoly Dobrynin, who said in his time that “the Cuban missile crisis revealed the mortal danger of a direct armed confrontation of the two great powers, a confrontation headed off on the brink of war thanks to both sides’ timely and agonizing realization of the disastrous consequences.”

Antonov also quoted U.S. President John F.
