Kamala Harris Applauds Dem AGs for ‘Taking on’ Pregnancy Centers

Vice President Kamala Harris applauded Democrat attorneys general for “taking on” pregnancy centers within their states during her speech at the Democrat Attorneys General Association Conference on Thursday.

Harris told the crowd she previously met with many Democrat attorneys general and “discussed the innovative strategies” they have used “to defend women’s reproductive freedom.”

Harris said:

You are taking on, rightly, the crisis pregnancy centers; launching public education campaigns because — I don’t think I have it here, but I’ll show you all a map of the United States right now, in terms of the patchwork of different laws in different states on this issue and the confusion it is creating and the need, then, for some of the most trusted elected officials to clarify the state of the law and, in the midst of the vast amount of confusion, the need of you as the truthtellers to sort out fiction from fact and combat misinformation and disinformation, which we all know often creates a situation that is ripe for predatory practices.

Abortion Landscape: Pregnancy Centers See Uptick in Calls Since Dobbs; Doctors Weigh In on Fetal Pain

Since the Supreme Court decided on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case in June, effectively overturning Roe v. Wade, the landscape of abortion in the United States has shifted as pregnancy centers receive more calls and the conversation changes.

States have moved to restrict abortion or increase access to the procedure. California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom even took out advertisements in Republican-led states, telling women how to get an abortion in California.

Jessica Warner of Heartbeat International told The Daily Wire that pregnancy centers have seen a change since the Dobbs decision.

“According to an informal poll we conducted at the end of July, we found that 66% of centers have seen an increase in calls since the Dobbs decision,” she said over email. “Option Line, our 24/7 national pregnancy helpline, has not seen a significant increase or decrease in contacts who are at risk for abortion, however we have noted a slight increase in those who seem to be on the fence about abortion.”

Warner said they think there has not been more of an uptick “due to the censorship we have seen from Big Tech. Vladimir Putin’s Guru Says ‘Nuclear Apocalypse Likely’ if Russia Faces Ukraine Defeat

[One of President Putin’s closest advisers, Alexander] Dugin tweeted: “A very important decision has been taken and, it seems, not easily made. All our – unbearable, outrageous – sacrifices are not in vain. The state and the people are on the same side of the barricades.”

Dugin, who lost his daughter, Darya Dugina, 29, last month in a car bomb attack [sources in Ukraine and the United States have tried to blame Putin for the murder of Dugin’s daughter], tried to rally Russians to get behind Putin and the war effort.

He said: “After all, we are fighting on the side of God and heaven, on the side of earth and soul. That is why our native blood is donated, flowing directly from Russian hearts.”

While he said that the Ukraine conflict was turning into a world war he said that there were only three outcomes.

Looking at the possibility of defeat for Russia, he said: “It would mean not only the end of the regime, but the end of everything and everyone. It is essentially a scenario for the end of Russia, Finis Rossiae. If our retreat begins, everything will fall, for both external and internal causes.”

His second outcome was the “nuclear apocalypse”.

Dugin wrote: “The second scenario is a nuclear apocalypse. It is possible that Moscow, which is beginning to lose seriously, will decide to use nuclear weapons.

“Likely? Yes, probably. Is anyone in Russia considering this possibility? Undoubtedly. Russia could resort to nuclear weapons in other situations, since for Russia, both state and people, losing a war would mean total annihilation, and not just a severe but still tolerable defeat, which could be overcome, the nuclear scenario cannot be discarded.

“The West clearly underestimates this probability, considering it a bluff.”

Then his final outcome was for a Russian victory which would see the building of a “religious and spiritual” empire and the end of Western society.

He said: “The third scenario is the most important. In Russia, a revolution is taking place from above. Putin, who has already broken with the West, turns this total and irreversible rupture into an ideology, a course, a strategy and the sole guideline of existence.

“All compromises are abolished, Russia is openly becoming a people’s empire with a marked religious and social ethos. Liberalism and Westernism are banned.

‘How Is That in Our National Interest?’: Gov Takes Action to Limit Chinese Communist Party’s Land Buyouts

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis proposed legislation Thursday prohibiting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from continuing its “nefarious” policy of land buyouts near U.S military bases in the state.

The measure limits companies affiliated with China and other countries of concern, including Russia, Iran and North Korea, from purchasing sensitive land around the 21 U.S. military bases in Florida. Chinese purchases of land at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, reported by CNBC in July, and Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana triggered worries that the CCP would use the land to surveil goings-on at the bases, potentially giving the CCP a conflict advantage and provide insight to U.S. defense technology.

“How is that in our national interest?” DeSantis said in a press briefing.

“They want to get intelligence. They want to know what’s going on here in the United States,” he added.

China’s Huawei has installed telecommunications equipment on land near U.S. military bases, raising concerns among lawmakers and national security officials that the CCP might intend to capture sensitive data on military procedures and personnel, CNN reported. Trump Inadvertently Blocks Return of Close Ally Mike Lindell’s Phone

Former President Donald Trump’s litigation over documents he took to his Florida home inadvertently led to a judge rejecting a request by MyPillow founder Mike Lindell to regain access to his cellphone after FBI agents seized it at a Hardee’s drive-thru earlier this month.

Lindell, a close ally of the 45th president, had his motion for a temporary restraining order denied by U.S. District Judge Eric Tostrud, thwarting the pillow entrepreneur’s efforts to regain access to his mobile device that was seized by federal agents last week.

The FBI seized Lindell’s phone on Sept. 13 while he was waiting at the fast food drive-thru in Minnesota. Lindell filed a lawsuit Tuesday in federal court, seeking a temporary restraining order that would require the government to stop accessing his phone and return it.

But Tostrud cited a Wednesday ruling by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals that significantly altered a Trump-appointed district judge’s special master order in the litigation battle between Trump and the Justice Department. ‘Final’ Answer: Special Master Gives Trump Last Chance to Dispute FBI Inventory

The special master reviewing paperwork seized from former President Donald Trump’s Florida home on Thursday gave Trump a “final opportunity” to dispute an inventory of records taken by the FBI.

Judge Raymond Dearie said that Trump has until Sept. 30 to clarify his claims that documents may have been planted.

Dearie is the semi-retired “senior” Brooklyn federal court judge reviewing whether the government has a right to various records taken by the FBI in an Aug. 8 raid on his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Dearie wrote that the deadline will be Trump’s “final opportunity to raise any factual dispute as to the completeness and accuracy of the Detailed Property Inventory.”

Military Recruiter Kills Wife as She’s Being Interviewed by NCIS Over Abuse Claims

A military recruiter shot and killed his wife while she was being interviewed by an NCIS investigator about allegations of abuse she made about her husband, according to police.

The Harris County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office said two people were shot. The wife of the recruiter was pronounced dead at the scene and one of the NCIS agents in serious condition, according to police.

Putin Confidant’s Son Pranked, Caught Trying to Get Out of Military Service in Ukraine

The son of a top Kremlin aide was duped by a Russian rabble-rouser into revealing that he would “obviously not” serve if drafted into Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.

Nikolay Peskov, the 32-year-old son of longtime Kremlin flack and Putin confidant Dmitry Peskov, refused the call of duty when he was prank-called by the hosts of Russian YouTube channel Popular Politics, according to Russian independent news site Insider.

Dmitry Nizovtsev, pretending to be a Russian recruitment officer, told Peskov he’d been drafted and needed to show up at a medical examination the next day.

“Obviously not,” the younger Peskov exclaimed.

Christians Slam Newsom for ‘Disgusting’ Billboards Quoting Jesus

Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom is taking flak from Christians who are offended by his multi-state billboard campaign that promotes abortion by quoting Jesus.

Last week, Newsom took to Twitter to tout the billboards his gubernatorial campaign is erecting in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and four other “anti-freedom” states where abortion is restricted or outlawed.

Some versions of the billboards, all of which urge women in such states to come to California to get abortions, advertise the state’s easily obtainable abortions by quoting Mark 12:31, where Jesus says, “Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.”

Newsom tagged several GOP governors in his Twitter thread, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. The billboards are also going up Indiana, South Carolina and South Dakota.

“The idea that Newsom is using the words of Jesus Christ, the Holy Scriptures, to promote the killing of unborn children as somehow loving and commanded by God is quite frankly disgusting,” said Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the American Center for Law & Justice, in a statement to Fox News Digital.

Andrew Cuomo Publicly Trashes Biden, Pelosi and Obama

Former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) publicly came out shaming the Biden administration for not standing by him during his sexual harassment scandal last year.

Telling a New York Post reporter, Cuomo said that it was “traumatizing” that no one from his party supported him during that time.

Saying that he has been friends with President Joe Biden for almost 20 years, the disgraced governor said that it was “heartbreaking” to see Biden turn his back on him without knowing the full story.

“It was tough. Traumatizing. Biden, a friend 20 years, not knowing details, immediately said about me, ‘He’s got to go.’ Biden had troubles years before and I stood by him… gave him the benefit of the doubt. It was heartbreaking to see him trash me without reading one page, making one phone call,” Cuomo said.

Calling the phrase “political friends” an oxymoron, Cuomo went on to call out House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) and former President Obama, as well as other Democrat figures for not being by his side during the allegations.
