China to Hollywood: Don’t Say Gay! Hollywood: Yes Sir!

. . .Hollywood stands firmly behind the LGBTQ community, you see. Queer erasure will not stand. We say gay!*

*Exceptions apply:

References to a gay relationship in “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” were edited out of the movie by Warner Bros. for the film’s release in China. Only six seconds of the movie’s 142-minute runtime were removed. Dialogue that was edited out alluded to the romantic past between male characters Dumbledore (Jude Law) and Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen). “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling revealed Dumbledore was gay in 2009, but the movies had never explicitly referenced the character’s sexuality until this third “Fantastic Beasts” entry. Warner Bros. accepted China’s request to remove six seconds from the movie. The dialogue lines “because I was in love with you” and “the summer Gellert and I fell in love” were cut from “The Secrets of Dumbledore” release. The rest of the film remained intact…

“As a studio, we’re committed to safeguarding the integrity of every film we release, and that extends to circumstances that necessitate making nuanced cuts in order to respond sensitively to a variety of in-market factors,” Warner Bros. said in a statement to Variety. “Our hope is to release our features worldwide as released by their creators but historically we have faced small edits made in local markets.” “In the case of ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,’ a six-second cut was requested and Warner Bros. accepted those changes to comply with local requirements but the spirit of the film remains intact,” the statement added. “We want audiences everywhere in the world to see and enjoy this film, and it’s important to us that Chinese audiences have the opportunity to experience it as well, even with these minor edits.”

WATCH: Crowd of Protesters Chant ‘Grooming Is Wrong’ Outside Disneyland

Protesters gathered Thursday at Disneyland in California to rally against the entertainment giant’s stance on the Parental Rights in Education bill and recent reports that the company plans to expand its LGBT content for children.

Protestors are repeatedly shouted “grooming is wrong,” and “boycott Disney,” according to a video posted to Twitter.

The Florida bill forbids the education of sexual orientation and gender identity in school-aged children from kindergarten to grade three, according to The Florida Senate. Critics have argued it will marginalize the LGBTQ community, according to the CBC. (Read more from “Crowd of Protesters Chant ‘Grooming Is Wrong’ Outside Disneyland” HERE)

Kentucky Legislature Overrides Democrat Governor’s Veto, Passes Abortion Ban

The Republican-led Kentucky State Legislature overrode Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear’s veto on Wednesday and passed a bill that outlaws abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The law is modeled after Mississippi’s law, which is currently before the Supreme Court and is the greatest challenge in decades to the Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision declaring abortion a protected right under the U.S. Constitution. The Kentucky House voted 76-21, and the Senate voted 31-6 to override Beshear’s veto, and the law will go into effect immediately.

Advocates say the law will “force the state’s two clinics to stop providing abortions immediately,” the Washington Post reported. The new law only allows abortion if a woman’s life is in danger and does not include exceptions for rape or incest. It also limits medication abortion and requires the cremation or burial of fetal remains, the report states. WATCH: Resurfaced Video Shows Dr. Oz Praising Jussie Smollett After Hoax Attack

Resurfaced video of TV host-turned U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz saying how much he “adores” and “loves” his friend, hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett is now going viral online after former President Donald Trump endorsed Oz in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race.

“Jussie Smollett, who has been on the show, who we all adore, was recently injured. It’s been called a hate crime,” Dr. Oz said on his show.

Elsewhere, Dr. Oz referred to Smollett as “a good friend,” adding, “Jussie, if you’re watching this, the entire audience, all of us, are saying we love you very much, we wish you the best.”

Jussie Smollett also appeared on Dr. Oz’s show in December 2018 — Dr. Oz later revisited that interview after the actor’s staged attack against himself, to see if there were any “clues” to what may have happened the night he said Smollett was attacked. Putin Shrugs off Financial Sanctions as Ruble Rebounds

Vladimir Putin’s Russia is earning more from its energy exports than it was before it invaded Ukraine, and the ruble has bounced back to its prewar value. Tell us again about those “crippling” sanctions.

Yes, President Joe Biden on Friday signed two bills expanding US financial restrictions on Russia, and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan says, “We will keep working on additional ways to deny them revenue.”

But none of it can hit that hard as long as Western Europe, utterly dependent on Russia’s oil and gas, can’t stop buying it. And the war has roiled markets enough to spike prices, so Bloomberg Economics anticipates Russia will earn about $320 billion from energy exports this year, up more than a third from 2021.

The United States can’t force Germany et al to start exploiting their own energy resources (though European voters can, and should). But America can steal Russia’s export markets, if Washington is willing to stop suppressing US energy production and start supporting it. Feds Had 20 ‘Assets’ Embedded in Jan. 6 Riot, Court Document Shows

The federal government had at least 20 “assets” embedded in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol, according to a new report. . .

The report comes from Just the News and cites a filing in court for one of the Jan. 6 case defendants.

That document explains that at least 20 FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives “assets” were embedded around the building that day.

The lawyer who submitted the filing, David Fischer, is asking that counts of seditious conspiracy and obstruction filed against about a dozen members of the Oath Keepers, and client Thomas Caldwell, be dismissed. . .

It also states that lawyers searched “a mountain of discovery” that included summaries of interviews conducted by FBI agents and found that members of the Oath Keepers were “being monitored and recorded prior to J6.” (Read more from “Feds Had 20 ‘Assets’ Embedded in Jan. 6 Riot, Court Document Shows” HERE)

WATCH: Transgender Rugby Player Slams Female Athletes, Coach Says Three Injured

A high school rugby league is under fire after a transgender female athlete allegedly injured three biological female players during a Saturday match.

A biological male identifying and playing as a female on Guam High School’s rugby team injured three biological female players from Tiyan High School during Saturday’s season-opening match, according to Tiyan High School head coach Conrad Kerber.

The transgender athlete’s “body size, body strength … completely dominate any girl that I have on my team,” Kerber said, according to a report.

“The aggressive nature that was witnessed clearly showed that it’s a definite issue that we have to deal with,” he added. “I have three players that were injured in that first game against Guam High directly by that particular player.” (Read more from “WATCH: Transgender Rugby Player Slams Female Athletes, Coach Says Three Injured” HERE)

WATCH: What Fauci Said – and Didn’t Say – About China’s Handling of the Wuhan Coronavirus Is Chilling

By Townhall. Dr. Anthony Fauci made a Wednesday appearance on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” during which he was asked about how China is handling its “Zero COVID” policy involving lockdowns of the most frightening sort. As Katie covered earlier this week, people can be heard screaming from their windows while a drone flies by telling them to quiet down. Both Mitchell and Fauci went about their discussion in just about the most dispassionate way possible.

Fauci referenced how “China has a number of problems,” but he did also claim that “their approach” of “a strictest lockdown that you’d never be able to implement in the United States… prevents the spread of infection,” and went on to say about China, “Remember, early on, they were saying, and I think accurately, that they were doing better than almost anybody else.” . . .

Fauci also didn’t expand upon why “you’d never be able to implement [such lockdowns] in the United States.” Perhaps it’s because the Chinese people are under the rule of the Chinese Communist Party, and thus do not have the freedom to speak out.

Biden Extends Mask Mandates for Americans Traveling; Ends Coronavirus Restrictions for Border Crossers

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden’s administration is extending the federal mask mandate for Americans traveling on commercial buses and flights while carrying out plans to end Chinese coronavirus restrictions for border crossers and illegal aliens.

On Wednesday, Biden’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the federal transportation mask mandate — which has been in place since 2020 — will remain in effect for at least two more weeks.

“CDC continues to monitor the spread of the Omicron variant, especially the BA.2 subvariant that now makes up more than 85 percent of United States cases,” the agency wrote in a statement:

Since early April, there have been increases in the seven-day moving average of cases in the U.S. The CDC Mask Order remains in effect while CDC assesses the potential impact of the rise of cases on severe disease, including hospitalizations and deaths, and healthcare system capacity. TSA will extend the security directive and emergency amendment for 15 days, through May 3, 2022. [Emphasis added]

At the same time, Biden’s CDC is officially ending the Title 42 public health authority on May 23. The authority, first imposed by former President Donald Trump, allows federal immigration officials to quickly return illegal aliens to their native countries to protect Americans from illnesses, diseases, and viruses like coronavirus. ‘Now I’m Pissed’ Secret Service Agents Outraged by White House Spin Over First Dog Bites

Secret Service agents were outraged last year by the White House’s attempt to downplay bite injuries caused by then-first dog Major — even trying to get President Biden to personally pay for a damaged coat, newly released documents show.

Secret Service leaders also sought to keep attack details out of official paperwork — at one point rejecting an agent’s “excessively detailed” account to avoid upsetting the first family — after Major bit agents on eight consecutive days.

The records, released in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Judicial Watch, show that attacks occurred both earlier and later than previously known. . .

The March 8 bite actually was the final attack in an eight-day streak and the wounded agent — whose injuries were categorized as “severe” by a colleague — fumed about Psaki’s spin.

“NO I didn’t surprise the dog doing my job by being at [redacted] as the press secretary just said! Now I’m pissed,” the agent wrote to a coworker. (Read more from “‘Now I’m Pissed’ Secret Service Agents Outraged by White House Spin Over First Dog Bites” HERE)

Republicans: COVID ‘Over’ for Illegals at Border, Not Americans on Planes

Republicans blasted the Biden administration following reports that the nationwide mask mandate for public transit will be extended another two weeks.

One lawmaker called the move “hypocritical,” while others highlighted the ineffectiveness of the mandate as well as the recent announcement of the lifting of Title 42 – a public health provision that serves as an essential tool in combating the spread of COVID-19 and controlling the influx of migrants at our southern border.

Taking to Twitter, Republican officials expressed outrage over the reports:
