GOP Senator Releases Fauci’s Financial Records, Claims They Show He ‘Lied’

Sen. Roger Marshall released financial records Friday he said were obtained from Dr. Anthony Fauci after the two clashed earlier this week at a hearing over access to such disclosures.

The Kansas Republican claims the documents from the National Institutes of Health show Fauci, who is President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser and a leading government voice advising the public on dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, “lied to the American people” when he claimed during a Senate hearing Tuesday that the information was “public knowledge.”

“He is more concerned with being a media star and posing for the cover of magazines than he is being honest with the American people,” Marshall said in his statement, noting that he specifically requested unredacted copies.

During the hearing Tuesday, Marshall pressed Fauci, saying his office could not find financial disclosure information that includes his past and current investments. ‘Unreal’ Redefined: Teacher Claims She Was Fired for Not ‘Meowing’ at Student

. . .[T]here’s a new definition for unreal, found in a report in which a substitute teacher claims to have been refused further work for not meowing at a student.

It comes from a Tiktok video, where, according to a PostMillennial report, the teacher was told, after failing to meow, by school officials, “We no longer need your services if you can’t identify with all the children in the classroom.” . . .

“I’m a sub, and the most important we do is take roll, so the school gets paid. So, I’m looking at the seating chart as I’m going up and down the rows and marking who’s here and who’s not,” said the women who posted the video, who uses the screen name @crazynamebridgetmichael.

On her most recent venture into a classroom, she described, “I get to the third row and I hear this ‘meow!’ Uhhh, excuse me? Excuse me?”

She continues, “I start looking on the ground, through the fourth row—everything’s good. Go to the fifth row—everybody’s there. Then I hear ‘meow!’ I’m like, ‘Okay, what’s up with that? Top University Now Requires Double Masking Despite 99% Vax Rate, Booster Requirement and Twice-Weekly Testing

Johns Hopkins University (JHU) is requiring students to either wear two masks or wear an N-95 or KN-95 mask on campus during the spring semester despite nearly universal vaccination on campus and mandatory, twice-weekly testing.

The school, which is a global leader on COVID-19 research and public health policy, announced new safety protocols in a Friday email to students emphasizing the surge in COVID-19 cases caused by the Omicron coronavirus variant. The single cloth and surgical masks commonly worn on campus no longer meet the university’s mask requirements.

The university reported zero incidents of transmission on campus or in university workplaces when COVID-19 rules were followed. According to JHU, 99% of its students and faculty are vaccinated.

A press release from JHU noted that, with nearly universal vaccination of university students and faculty, the current surge is different from that of 2021, but it went on to explain that the school is imposing a vaccine booster mandate with a Feb. 1 deadline in addition to twice-weekly testing for students. The release acknowledged the relatively low risk the latest variant poses to most students. Just-Released Docs Deal Another Blow to Biden’s Legacy on Afghanistan

The Department of Defense (DOD) was warned that the Afghan Air Force would collapse without help from the U.S. months before President Joe Biden announced the country would withdraw from Afghanistan, according to a declassified watchdog report.

The watchdog report, declassified Tuesday and written by Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction John Sopko, was given to the DOD in January 2021, according to The Associated Press. It warned that the U.S. had not adequately trained support staff for the country and that the Afghan Air Force wouldn’t be able to keep up aircraft without U.S. help.

The report highlights the fact that the Biden administration was warned months ahead of time of the collapse of the Afghan Air Force. Biden was sharply criticized for his administration’s withdrawal process from the country, though the president has maintained that chaos was inevitable. His administration has also claimed that while they were prepared for the chaos, Afghanistan fell more quickly than anticipated following a rapid Taliban takeover.

Washington’s watchdog report echoes concerns made by Afghan officials regarding the U.S. withdrawal, the AP also noted.

Cracker Barrel Ordered to Pay Millions to Customer Who Was Served Chemical

A jury in Tennessee ordered Cracker Barrel to pay a man millions for serving him a glass filled with a cleaning chemical instead of water — but he’ll get far less due to a cap on damages, according to his attorney.

A Marion County jury awarded William Cronnon, whose mouth and esophagus were burned during an April 2014 visit to the country-themed restaurant chain, $4.3 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages on Jan. 6, court documents obtained by WTVC show.

But Cronnon will receive only about $750,000 — despite a jury finding that Cracker Barrel acted negligently — due to a limit on economic damages, his attorney told the station Thursday.

“This is an unfair law,” attorney Thomas Greer said. “He will not receive anything close to what he is entitled to.”

A jury determined Cracker Barrel was at fault for serving Cronnon a glass filled with Eco-San sanitizer instead of water during his 2014 visit to a Marion County location. The chemical used to clean kitchen surfaces had been kept in unmarked pitchers, court documents show. CLIMATE ALARMISTS: Mass Extinction Has Begun!

Earth’s sixth mass extinction has most certainly begun, asserts an article Tuesday in Science Alert, despite the objections of “deniers.”

It is the scientists themselves who “have rung the alarm bell,” writes Peter Dockrill, “warning that grave declines in animal biodiversity around the globe herald the onset of what will be Earth’s sixth mass extinction.”

A “looming weight of evidence” suggests this “grim phenomenon” is unfolding all around us, Dockrill asserts.

Extinction deniers base their position on a “highly biased assessment of the crisis” by overemphasizing mammals and birds while ignoring invertebrates, which constitute “the great majority of biodiversity,” Dockrill declares, citing biologist Robert H. Cowie from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, most of whose work involves non-marine snails.

End of Lockdowns? Boris Looks to Scrap All Coronavirus Restrictions in March

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government is reportedly looking to abolish all remaining coronavirus restrictions by March as the push to return to normality has gained traction amid steadily decreasing cases of the Chinese virus.

Later this Month, MPs will gather to vote on an extension of the ‘Plan B’ restrictions which were put in place in November, despite a large rebellion within the Tory Party against the government. The vote, set for January 26th, is expected to see the end of coronavirus passport requirements, yet mask rules for public places may remain for the time being.

Yet, according to a report in The Guardian newspaper, Number 10 is set to introduce plans to scrap all restrictions in England by March. While Britain saw some of the strictest lockdowns during the initial waves of the Wuhan virus, should the reported plans come through, England would look to become one of the freest countries in Europe in terms of the virus.

“There’s a few legal powers still on the statute book, not least the requirement to self-isolate. At some point we will have to address them,” a government source told the paper.

On top of the Plan B rules of COVID passports and mask-wearing, England still has some remaining restrictions in place from the initial lockdowns, such as mandated self-isolation upon contracting the virus, with fines of up to £10,000 for violations. The requirement for providing your address and details of the people in your household to the NHS test and trace system remains in place as well. (Read more from “End of Lockdowns? Joe Rogan Slams University for Allowing a Biological Male to Compete on the Women’s Swim Team

This week, podcast host Joe Rogan slammed the University of Pennsylvania for allowing a biological male swimmer to compete on the women’s swim team.

Rogan made the remarks during “The Tim Dillon Show.” During the podcast, Rogan discussed biological men competing in sports as biological women. He specifically discussed UPenn swimmer Lia Thomas and MMA fighter Fallon Fox.

As I covered, Thomas, who is a biological male on UPenn’s women’s swim team, broke two national women’s records at a swim competition in Ohio last fall. Reportedly, in the 1,650-yard freestyle, the runner-up finished 38 seconds behind Thomas. Dailymail.com reported that Thomas’ teammates had considered boycotting the event, but were worried about being labeled as “transphobic” and would be banned from the Ivy League championship next month. . .

“Look, I don’t have a problem with trans people. I have a problem with someone pretending that they’re a biological woman and fighting women,” Rogan said. “Once you say you’re trans, and everybody says, ‘okay, I’ll fight her’ – fine. I’m fine with that. In fact, MMA is one of the best places for that because you know exactly who your opponent is. Unlike this swimmer [Thomas], was it UPenn?”

Why Ruling Class Minions Are So Suddenly Doing Damage Control on COVID

Corporate media and its government allies seem to be making peace with reality by fessing up to the damages caused by insane policies on Covid. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Yes, recently a host of pundits, politicos, and “experts” seem to be coming clean about facts on the ground, finally acknowledging what most Americans have known for nearly two years: that the never-ending lockdowns and mandates have done colossal damage to our society, to our economy, and most tragically to our children.

But these self-appointed overlords are simply engaged in a form of damage control, a “limited hangout.” When they can no longer hide their lies, they acknowledge the obvious in order to keep their biggest lies on life support. It’s a reframing exercise meant to preserve the wider agenda of consolidating power.

For an excellent catalog of the recent wave of limited hangouts, see Joy Pullmann’s Federalist essays on how the “experts” who now admit the facts are still engaged in power grabs. One example is Centers for Disease Control Director Rochelle Walensky’s public acknowledgment that the numbers of deaths due to the Wuhan virus are hugely inflated.

Another comes from New York Times reporter David Leonhardt, who published a 20-month-delayed expose on the vast social, emotional, and academic damage done to children by government-enforced isolation, particularly school closures. Likewise, CNN’s Brian Stelter disingenuously spoke against the damage done by the lockdowns after two years of smearing those who expressed such concerns. Democrats Want to Expand Mail-in Voting, Allow 16-Year-Olds and Felons to Vote

Democrats in New Mexico are rushing to change the state’s voting laws ahead of this year’s midterm elections that are expected to be particularly bruising for the party.

The proposal would lower the voting age to 16 for local elections, expand the use of mail-in ballots, create an option for straight party-line voting on ballots and remove a prohibition on voting by convicted felons, though felons would not be allowed to vote from prison.

Led by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Democratic state lawmakers are proposing a sweeping rewrite of elections laws to push back on what they say is a “wave of anti-democratic sentiment nationwide.”

“Protecting voting rights is essential to upholding our democracy and ensuring New Mexicans’ voices are heard,” said Mrs. Lujan Grisham, a Democrat who also is facing a tough reelection battle this year. “While voting rights are under attack across the country, New Mexico is taking every action to protect and expand them.”

Mrs. Lujan Grisham’s proposal also would permit people without a state-issued ID to register online to vote using a Social Security number.
