Nancy Pelosi’s Kid Linked to Firms Probed by Feds

Paul Pelosi Jr., the son of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has reportedly been linked to at least five business entities under investigation by authorities for alleged fraud.

The 52-year-old Paul Pelsoi Jr., the only son of Nancy and Paul Pelosi Sr., was hired by several firms that were subject to both federal and state probes, and meanwhile has “connections to a host of fraudsters, rule-breakers and convicted criminals,” although he has never been charged himself, according to DailyMail.com.

The website reports that in February 2007, Pelosi Jr. was hired as senior vice president by Omaha-based InfoUSA, a database marketing company that was investigated by the Iowa Attorney General’s Office several years earlier for allegedly selling consumer data to fraudsters.

The data was then used to scam sick and gullible elderly people out of money, it was alleged. The investigation was closed and no arrests were made. Pelosi Jr., who was paid a salary of $180,000 per year, joined the firm after the probe ended.

InfoUSA was founded by Vin Gupta, a major donor to former President Bill Clinton. The Associated Press reported that Gupta and his company were investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2007. (Read more from “Nancy Pelosi’s Kid Linked to Firms Probed by Feds” HERE)

GOP Sen. To Push ‘FAUCI’ Act After Top Doc Calls Him ‘Moron’

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) is hoping a hot-mic moment with Dr. Anthony Fauci earlier this week leads to a groundswell of support for his bill that would force the publication of White House officials’ financial records.

The bill, formally titled the Financial Accountability for Uniquely Compensated Individuals (FAUCI) Act, would also require the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) to publish a list of government officials whose financial disclosures are not publicly available, according to multiple outlets.

Marshall clashed with the White House chief medical adviser during a Senate hearing Tuesday after the senator asked Fauci: “Would you be willing to submit to Congress and the public a financial disclosure that includes your past and current investments?”

“My financial disclosure is public knowledge and has been so for the last 37 years or so,” said Fauci, who later called Marshall “so misinformed, it’s extraordinary.”

“We cannot find them. Our office cannot find them. Where would they be if they are public knowledge?” Marshall asked. (Read more from “GOP Sen. To Push ‘FAUCI’ Act After Top Doc Calls Him ‘Moron'” HERE)

Police Searching for N95 Mask-Wearing Man for Alleged Stabbing

A 24-year-old woman was killed in the 300 block of North La Brea Avenue in Hancock Park Thursday afternoon, police said.

The woman, identified by the Los Angeles Police Department at the scene as Brianna Kupfer, died at the scene of the fatal assault.

A LinkedIn profile for Kupfer identifies her as a design consultant for Croft House, a furniture business located on that block.

Lopez did not provide any suspect information, but surveillance video shows what appears to be a tall, slender man wearing black clothes and a white N95 mask walking away from the scene.

Investigators believe the man came into the store while Kupfer was alone. (Read more from “Police Searching for N95 Mask-Wearing Man for Alleged Stabbing” HERE)

Facebook Facing $3.2 Billion Class Action Lawsuit

Facebook (now called Meta) is facing a $3.2 billion lawsuit over the alleged exploitation of its UK users. One expert involved in the lawsuit said: “They are exploiting users by taking their personal data without properly compensating them for taking that data. I don’t think the users are entirely clear when they click on the terms and conditions how unfair that deal is.”

Engadget reports that Facebook (now Meta) is facing a major court case as a legal expert has begun work with a litigation firm to sue the company on behalf of 44 million Facebook users in the United Kingdom. The class-action lawsuit alleges that UK users had their data exploited in violation of competition laws.

The lawsuit is seeking £2.3 billion ($3.2 billion) in damages for UK Facebook users. The suit was filed by Dr. Liza Lovdahl Gormsen who specialized in competition law. The law firm Innsworth which takes on cases in exchange for a share of damages won is funding the case.

The lawsuit alleges that although users do not pay to use Facebook, the information that they provide the social media platform with is valuable. Lovdahl Gormsen said in a statement: “They are exploiting users by taking their personal data without properly compensating them for taking that data. I don’t think the users are entirely clear when they click on the terms and conditions how unfair that deal is.” (Read more from “Facebook Facing $3.2 Billion Class Action Lawsuit” HERE)

Bidenflation Sends a Stumbling, Bumbling Biden Desperately Searching for Distractions

Even as President Joe Biden was spewing deplorable falsehoods about his political opponents in Atlanta, the chickens of his administration’s economy were coming home to roost. Wednesday’s Bureau of Labor Statistics report on inflation, revealing last month’s 7% inflation rate, sets yet another 40-year record, harkening back to the bad old days of double-digit interest rates and Paul Volcker’s bitter medicine for the economy of the early 1980s.

With this week’s report, it is clear that the Biden economy is in an inflation crisis. It is a crisis that neither Biden nor his useless Twitter-addicted senior staff has any clue how to fix. But they have all kinds of ideas about how to make it even worse. . .

But even as Biden tries his 79-year-old best to sound like his heart is in it, his rhetoric practically glows from its insincerity. It is hard to believe that a president proving to be such a disappointment in so many areas — foreign policy, immigration, the pandemic, the supply crisis, and the economy — is now attempting a massive power grab in the Senate so he can rig elections in his party’s favor and do even more damage to the economy through inflationary spending with the barest of legislative majorities.

Fortunately, Biden does not even have simple-majority support for this endeavor nor the full backing of his own party. This makes his push to destroy all the checks and balances on his power within the Senate even more absurd and needlessly divisive than it is. Supreme Court to Hear Case of High School Football Coach Who Was Sacked for Praying on Field

The Supreme Court said Friday it would hear the case of a Washington state high school football coach who was sacked for praying on the field after games.

Joseph Kennedy, who was barred from coaching football at Bremerton High School in 2015, will have his case heard by the high court in April, his attorneys said. The coach was a graduate of the school who coached there from 2008 to 2015.

“Six years away from the football field has been far too long. I am extremely grateful that the Supreme Court is going to hear my case and pray that I will soon be able to be back on the field coaching the game and players I love,” Mr. Kennedy said in a statement.

Mr. Kennedy said he was suspended from the final game of the season in 2015 by the Bremerton School District. School officials said Mr. Kennedy’s private prayer at the 50-yard line — which had been allowed for seven years beforehand — violated the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause, which bars governments from establishing a state religion. Students occasionally gathered around him, although he said he never invited their participation. The district offered to let him pray in an off-field press box or “an athletic facility,” but forbade his praying on the field. Nearly 50% Say Biden Is Dividing the Country

A plurality of Americans feel as though President Biden is dividing the country, despite his original pledge to unify, a Quinnipiac University Poll released this week found.

The survey, taken January 7-10, 2022, among 1,313 adults, asked respondents, “Do you feel that President Biden is doing more to unite the country or is doing more to divide the country?”

A plurality, 49 percent, said they feel as though Biden is doing more to divide the country, while 42 percent say he is uniting. However, that is outside of the survey’s +/- 2.7 percent margin of error.

Opinions are sharply divided on party lines, as 92 percent of Republicans say Biden is doing more to divide the country, compared to 84 percent of Democrats who say Biden is doing more to unite the country. Half of independents, however, believe he is doing more to divide the nation. (Read more from “Nearly 50% Say Biden Is Dividing the Country” HERE)

Judge Shames Elderly Cancer Patient Too Weak to Mow His Lawn

A Michigan judge is coming under fire after video surfaced of her shaming and fining a 72-year-old cancer patient in court who said he’s too weak to maintain his lawn, with the judge exclaiming that she wished she could put the elderly man in jail for not keeping up his yard.

District Judge Alexis G. Krot, who presides over the 31st District Court in Michigan, delivered perhaps one of the most disgusting diatribes from the bench earlier in January – shaming an elderly cancer patient and wishing she could throw him in jail because he admitted to being too frail to personally maintain the weeds growing in his back yard.

During a January 10th virtual court appearance, 72-year-old Burhan Chowdhury appeared before Judge Krot over an August 2021 citation he’d received regarding overgrown vegetation that had begun to protrude through portions of the alleyway along the back of his property. Judge Krot read off the details of the civil infraction, telling Chowdhury he can plead “responsible, responsible with explanation, or not responsible.” In response, Chowdhury explained through labored breathing that he is simply not physically able to pull the weeds from his yard due to his cancer diagnosis. January 6th Committee Subpoenas Google, Twitter, Facebook

The congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riots on Thursday subpoenaed Twitter, Facebook, and other big tech companies in an effort to determine how rioters coordinated on their platforms.

The House Select Committee on the January 6th Attack also subpoenaed Reddit and Alphabet, Google’s parent company. In a letter, the committee said it was investigating “what steps—if any—social media companies took to prevent their platforms from being breeding grounds for radicalizing people to violence.”

The letter named Facebook, now called Meta, and YouTube, an Alphabet subsidiary, as particularly negligent. But it said all four companies subpoenaed were “unwilling to commit to voluntarily and expeditiously” cooperating with the committee. The committee also said “Twitter has failed to disclose critical information.”

In the immediate aftermath of the Jan. 6 riots, several big tech platforms cut off access to conservative social media site Parler, blaming it for hosting the planning of the riot. But recent investigations found many of the rioters organized on large platforms like Facebook. Some rioters live-streamed their entrances to the Capitol on YouTube. ‘It’s Over, People’: WHO Warns AGAINST Vaccine Mandates, Repeated Booster Shots; E.U. Admits Frequent Booster Shots Weaken Body’s Immune System

By WND. The World Health Organization said in a statement that a vaccination strategy based on repeated booster doses of the original COVID-19 vaccines is unlikely to be appropriate or sustainable.

Recognizing the inability of the shots to stop the spread, the U.N. health agency said future vaccines against COVID-19 must “be more effective in protection against infection thus lowering community transmission.”

“It’s over, people,” was the response from Alex Berenson, a former New York Times reporter who has devoted his independent reporting to the pandemic, publishing several books on the subject.

“Aside from a few unlucky Israelis, no one is going to receive a fourth dose of the original vaccine; everyone with eyes can see it doesn’t work against Omicron,” he wrote on his Substack page.

Separately, on Wednesday, the WHO said vaccination status should not be used to disqualify people from traveling internationally, advising governments to implement vaccine mandates only as a “last resort.” (Read more from “‘It’s Over, People’: Who Warns Against Vaccine Mandates, Repeated Booster Shots” HERE)

E.U. Admits Frequent Booster Shots Weaken Body’s Immune System

By WND. With some countries considering a fourth booster shot amid the waning effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines, the European Union’s top health agency is warning that getting boosted ever four months could harm the immune system’s ability to fight off the disease.

The European Medicines Agency advised countries instead to mirror the seasonal influenza vaccination strategy tied to the onset of the cold season, Bloomberg News reported.

In January, Israel became the first nation to administer a fourth shot, targeting those over 60.

The EMA’s head of biological health threats and vaccines strategy, Marco Cavaleri, spoke at a press briefing Tuesday.

“We need to think about how we can transition from the current pandemic setting to a more endemic setting,” he said. (Read more from “E.U. Admits Frequent Booster Shots Weaken Body’s Immune System” HERE)
