Dr. Anthony Fauci on Wednesday said public health officials are maintaining an “open mind” when it comes to the prospect of implementing a domestic vaccine requirement, although he echoed Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Rochelle Walensky by asserting that it is not happening at this “particular time.”

Fauci made waves this week after suggesting that officials are open to requiring vaccines to travel on domestic flights.

“When you make vaccination a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated,” he said during an appearance on MSNBC on Monday. “If you want to do that with domestic flights, I think that’s something that seriously should be considered.”

When asked about this controversial topic during Wednesday’s press conference with the White House COVID-⁠19 Response Team and Public Health Officials, Fauci backed off a bit, making it clear that such a requirement is “on the table” but adding that they do not believe it is necessary at this moment due to masks and filtration on planes.

“I had said, and I’ll say it again, that we — when we talk about keeping America safe and keeping our citizens safe, everything that is an intervention is always on the table and always discussed. New Bill Would Allow Criminals to Choose Military Service Over Prison Time

Florida legislators may soon make it possible for individuals convicted of certain criminal offenses to choose military service instead of serving time in prison.

Florida Senate Bill 1356 was filed on Dec. 21 by Democratic Sen. Darryl Rouson. The bill would enable eligible individuals to join the military instead of going to jail. To be eligible, a convicted criminal would have to be 25 years old or younger and have a sentence that does not exceed four years for all total charges. Also, the offender cannot and must not be charged with multiple felonies or be a violent career criminal.

The proposed bill would require that the convicted person satisfy any financial obligations that have been imposed as a result of his sentence and achieve a satisfactory score on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test. If the convicted individual fails to satisfy their imposed obligations, he must appear in court for resentencing, according to the bill. Russia Says U.S. Is Lowering Threshold for Use of Nuclear Weapons

As the US and Russia are preparing to hold security talks in January, Russian officials continue to criticize Washington’s military posture. On Monday, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov accused the US of lowering the threshold for the possible use of nuclear weapons.

“We in Moscow are committed to raising the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons. An opposite trend has been seen in the United States over the recent years, with the means for nuclear destruction appearing to be perceived more and more as a battlefield weapon. This is a dangerous trend,” Ryabkov said, according to Russia’s Tass news agency.

Ryabkov warned the US attitude towards nuclear weapons risks leading to an incident similar to the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, something he said must not happen. Russian leaders have repeatedly warned the US against deploying missiles to Ukraine that could target Moscow and are seeking guarantees that Washington would refrain from such a provocation. Judge in Ghislaine Maxwell Case Fears One Thing That Might Derail Trial

By Daily Caller. The judge for the Ghislaine Maxwell trial informed the jury Monday that deliberations would be extended to 6 p.m., an hour longer than normal, due to concerns about the surge in the Omicron variant in New York City.

“We are seeing an astronomical spike in the number of COVID-positive cases in New York City,” Judge Alison Nathan said, according to ABC News.

“We are very simply at a different place regarding the pandemic than we were only one week ago and we now face a high and escalating risk that jurors and/or trial participants may need to quarantine,” she added, according to CNN. “Accordingly, extending deliberations by an hour gives the jury more time each day to continue to engage in its thoughtful deliberations.”

Nathan noted that she would also ask jurors to continue their deliberation through New Years without a break for the holiday, citing the risk that the trial could be disrupted by the rising coronavirus cases.

“In light of the variant, my concern about the interruption of the trial, given the increasing daily risk of exposure to either a juror or trial participant requiring quarantine — it is time to think about having the jury make plans to deliberate until a verdict is reached,” she said, according to ABC News. Ghislaine Maxwell Trial Judge May Have Jurors Deliberate Every Day This Week Until They Reach a Verdict

By New York Post. The jury weighing Ghislaine Maxwell’s fate revealed late Tuesday afternoon that it is “making progress” after its fourth full day of deliberations – and the judge said she may ask the panel to huddle every day this week till it reaches a verdict.

The jurors sent a note to Judge Alison Nathan about 4:45 p.m., writing they were making headway in reaching a verdict.

“Our deliberations are moving along, and we are making progress. We are at a good point,” they wrote.

They then asked to be dismissed at 5 p.m. and return Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Nathan agreed to the request — but also warned the panelists that they should be prepared to deliberate every day this week, including Friday, New Year’s Eve, until they reach a verdict. Dem Civil War: COVID Enthusiasts Furious After Biden CDC Shortens Quarantine Requirements

Not everyone is pleased with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Monday decision to relax the quarantine and isolation requirements for people who catch COVID-19. . .

For others, the shift in policy represented the Biden administration caving in to big business.

Specifically, some to Biden’s left are pointing to a report from one week ago that Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian wrote a letter to CDC director Rochelle Walensky requesting that the quarantine and isolation periods be reduced. Requirements to quarantine and isolate have been disruptive to businesses of all kinds that have lost employees, but the airline industry has been particularly affected this holiday season.

“So we find out that Delta CEO Ed Bastian asked the CDC to reduce the recommended quarantine time from 10 days to 5 for vaccinated people because of workforce impact,” wrote former Democratic Congressional candidate Russell Foster. “This change has nothing to do with the virus or your health & everything to do with the profits of corporations.”

Others went as far as to suggest that Biden’s CDC was going to get people killed. That group includes former Hillary Clinton adviser Peter Daou, who asked “WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F*CK IS THIS?”

Study: COVID Vax Makes Omicron Infection More Likely

Worried about Omicron? Guess what? After 90 days, the vaccine they gave you is going to make you MORE likely to get infected from Omicron, not less. The longer you stay on the vaccine treadmill, the harder to get off in the future and the easier you’ll make it for the virus.

In short, we’ve been lied to about the vaccine. It is protecting you less and less over time. While you may get a benefit for earlier variants, the benefit for other variants (and likely other diseases) is going to be negative. In short, you are getting a short term benefit against Delta, but at the expense of a degradation of your overall immunity to everything else.

These vaccines may help you win the war against a variant that may soon be rare, but the price you pay is that you make your immunity to everything else worse. It’s a dumb tradeoff (especially since early treatments work so well). But the people making the laws won’t believe any of the science referenced in this article, so it will continue.

Preparations are underway for an anti-vaccine-mandate protest at the National Mall in Washington, but citizens across Europe and Down Under have been holding mass demonstrations for some time now, including over the holiday weekend.

The march in Washington on Jan. 23 will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Washington Monument and conclude at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, about one mile away. Called Defeat the Mandate DC, it’s organized by The Unity Project, Children’s Health Defense and the International Alliance of Physicians and Medical Scientists.

“The mandates are un-American. Stop the mass firings. Stop segregating by vaccination status. Stop calling Americans ‘unpatriotic’ for making a personal medical choice,” the organizers declare on their website.

In New York City on Monday, protesters against vaccine mandates crossed the Brooklyn Bridge chanting “We the people will not comply.”

Biden’s COVID Incompetence, Hypocrisy and Fact-Spinning Are Only Making Things Worse

You can’t blame Joe Biden for the COVID pandemic any more than you can blame Donald Trump, yet when it comes to fighting the virus, the current prez seems to be doing more wrong things than right — and then spinning facts to deflect criticism.

Perhaps that explains some of the recent chaos across the nation, particularly among people trying to get tested for the virus.

On Monday, for example, Biden simply denied a report that his team rejected a plan in October to produce 732 million free, at-home COVID-19 test kits by Christmas. If true, that now seems like a mistake.

According to the Vanity Fair report, the White House told the experts who’d developed the plan that it wouldn’t adopt it. One expert, Dr. Steven Phillips, accused Team Biden of “playing small ball.”

The White House’s claim that it didn’t reject the plan was downright lame: “The characterization of ‘rejection’ is not an accurate reflection of a productive meeting, and, in fact, we are implementing many measures that were discussed as capacity now allows us to do,” a spokesperson said. Plus, for the past few weeks, Biden has been expressing regret for not acting more quickly to make tests more widely available. Unvaccinated 5-Year-Olds Being Bullied by Police to Leave Restaurants Is New York City’s New Normal (VIDEO)

In a video that’s been seen by hundreds of thousands online, a 5-year-old boy is reduced to tears at a New York City restaurant as police officers tell his mother they have to leave because they do not have their vaccination papers.

“You don’t have the card? If you don’t have it, then you’ll have to leave,” an NYPD officer tells the family, who had been seated at a table.

Police told the boy’s mother that anyone without proof of vaccination could be charged with trespassing.

“If you leave voluntarily, there will not be charges pressed against you; otherwise you will be arrested for trespass. This is your only warning,” the officer said.

Several angry bystanders could be seen recording the incident and yelling at police officers about their rights being infringed.
