Newly unveiled documents from Virginia’s Loudoun County Public Schools show the district paid more than $34,000 for 55 hours of critical race theory coaching last year and slides contrasting “White Individualism” with “Color Group Collectivism.”

The documents, obtained through a freedom of information request from a Loudoun parent, show a framework for “culturally responsive” teaching from the Equity Collaborative, an equity consulting firm that offers courses on critical race theory.

Ian Prior, a former Justice Department official with children in the district and executive director of Fight For Schools, said a parent volunteering for the group had filed the public record request. . .

One slide focuses heavily on Black and Latino issues, but the presentation as a whole makes no mention of other minority groups, including Asian Americans, who have the largest minority presence in Loudoun.

Federal Judge Slaps Down Biden’s Move to Limit States’ Tax Cuts

A federal judge ruled that a provision in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief law limiting states from cutting taxes is unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Douglas Cole issued the permanent injunction requested by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, a Republican who argued the administration was trying to impose a “tax mandate” on states.

“The Biden administration reached too far, seized too much and got its hand slapped,” Mr. Yost said. “This is a monumental win for the preservation of the U.S. Constitution — the separation of powers is real, and it exists for a reason.”

Mr. Yost had filed a lawsuit against the Treasury Department and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, saying that the provision in the Democrats’ $1.9 trillion “American Rescue Plan” barring states from using the federal aid to offset tax cuts “directly or indirectly” is unconstitutional. Maricopa County Official ‘Horrified’ When Trump Called after 2020 Election

The White House made repeated calls in the weeks following the 2020 election. But the recipient, a top Maricopa County supervisor, was not keen to get involved with what he feared was the setup for a conversation about finding fraud that officials were certain did not exist.

Clint Hickman, a 56-year-old lifelong Republican who was chairman of the board in the populous Arizona county that is now the site of a controversial audit of the 2020 election, described the”horrifying” realization he had in early January after it was revealed former President Donald Trump tried pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the number of votes sufficient to eclipse the margin of President Joe Biden’s victory.

That call is now under scrutiny as part of a criminal investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the Nov. 3 election in Fulton County.

Hickman says he ignored the calls from the White House. But like Georgia, Arizona was a reliably red state that narrowly went Biden’s way in 2020. Interviews, text messages, and voicemails obtained by Arizona Central show Trump wanted a chat — at the time when some of Trump’s most fervent allies were pressing members of the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to question and stymie the results. SCOTUS Won’t Hear Case of Christian Florist Who Denied Services for Homosexual Wedding

The Supreme Court decided Friday that it would not hear the case of a florist who refused to provide her services for a same-sex couple’s wedding. The decision not to hear the case leaves in place an earlier ruling that she violated state anti-discrimination laws.

Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch said they would have reviewed the ruling, but four justices are needed for the court to hear a case.

In 2018, the high court ordered Washington state courts to take a new look at the case involving florist Barronelle Stutzman and her Arlene’s Flowers business. That followed the justices’ decision in a different case involving a Colorado baker who declined to make a cake for a same-sex wedding. Ghislaine Maxwell’s Lawyers Pull Bill Cosby Card

Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyers are playing the Bill Cosby card– arguing the court ruling that sprung the disgraced comedian from prison backs up throwing out her sex trafficking case.

In a Friday letter to a Manhattan federal judge, the lawyers claimed that Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged madam is in a “similar situation” as Cosby because both were immunized under a deal with prosecutors when they were charged.

Cosby, 83, was freed Wednesday after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court found that prosecutors violated his rights by going back on an apparent promise not to charge him with drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.

He was convicted in 2018 and had served nearly three years of a three- to 10-year sentence when he was released.

Florida Condo Declared Unsafe Amid New Building Scrutiny

Residents of a Florida condo were told they should leave their homes Wednesday after local officials declared parts of the property “unsafe,” a report said.

Walkways could crumble at the three-building complex in Kissimmee, outside of Orlando, the Osceola County Building Department warned 72 residents on Wednesday, Fox 35 Orlando reported.

The alert came after an engineering report and amid heightened scrutiny across the country over potential hazards of deteriorating infrastructure sparked by the deadly condo collapse in Surfside, Fla.

“Osceola County acted quickly in the best interest of public safety by declaring the structures unsafe on Wednesday morning, which was an immediate action after it learned of the engineering report performed on behalf of the Condominium Association/management company,” county spokesman Mark Pino told the TV station. Report: Biden Plots End to Border Controls despite Their Popularity

President Joe Biden is plotting an end to border controls that experts have said have kept a lid on a wave of unprecedented illegal immigration. The border controls, polls have shown, are overwhelmingly popular with Americans.

Biden administration officials and those familiar with the plans told the Wall Street Journal that the president is planning to end use of the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Title 42 order for migrant families arriving at the United States-Mexico border while keeping it in place, for the time being, for single adult border crossers. . .

The Journal reports:

The Biden administration is preparing to enact major policy changes at the southern border this summer as officials gradually lift a public-health emergency order that allows immigration agents to turn away most migrants crossing the border illegally, according to administration officials and others familiar with the discussions. The pandemic-era emergency order, known as Title 42, prevents people who illegally enter the U.S. from seeking asylum, instead immediately expelling them to Mexico. The administration plans to stop applying the emergency order to migrant families by the end of July, these people said. Once the order is lifted, families that requested asylum at the border will be permitted to remain in the U.S. for the duration of their cases, which can take years to complete. [Emphasis added]

Cleric Charges That God Is ‘Non-Binary’

A cleric who was the first transgender to be ordained in the Church of England has claimed in an interview with ITV News that God is not “God the Father,” or even a “He.”

God, claims Sarah Jones, is “non-binary.”

Apparently centuries of church teachings, untold years of study of the Bible, and even all those references in the Scripture themselves, are wrong?

Jones, who has opposed the millennia-old principles of the Bible for years, said, “We’re very used to talking about God as ‘He’ and obviously Jesus was a man and referred to God as ‘father,’ and I get that but when we think about anything to do with God, the limits of our human imagination and our language, we just run out of understanding, I mean, how can we possibly describe God.”

Jones continued, “And when you really think about it, does God really have a body? I don’t think so, so could God really be ‘He,’ just genuinely like a guy? NYT: Democrats Have Only 1 Year to Save Planet

Many, many warnings – and deadlines – for extremists to “save the planet” by imposing radical green agendas have come and gone.

Now comes the New York Times, with the newest from columnist Farhad Manjoo, who blared “Democrats have a year to save the planet.”

He, according to the report in Newsbusters, “screeched” that “this could be the treat turning point – an opportunity for the United States to finally take grand action to curb the worst effects of a climate barreling toward catastrophe.”

But similar warnings, from no less than Al Gore, have come and gone – without “catastrophe.”

Manjoo claimed, “A century from now, our descendants may look back on the next year or so as a hinge in history. … Picture the saga as it unfolds across the central gallery of the Biden presidential library: In the jubilant aftermath of a pandemic, a president campaigns tirelessly for an ambitious set of investments to mitigate the next great threat. Congress, shaken into action by a restive citizenry, somehow rises to the occasion, overcoming just enough partisan resistance to adopt a breakthrough environmental agenda. The global effort to curb planet-warming emissions had been foundering, but suddenly there was new hope.
