Utah GOP Boos Mitt Romney at State Convention: ‘Traitor!’

A crowd of over 2,000 GOP delegates booed “traitor” Mitt Romney Saturday as the Utah senator addressed his party’s 2021 state convention, where a censure over his two impeachment votes narrowly failed to pass.

“Aren’t you embarrassed?” Romney said as he was greeted with a chorus of catcalls when he took the stage at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.

“I’m a man who says what he means, and you know I was not a fan of our last president’s character issues,” said Romney, who was loudly reminded that he was the only Republican senator to vote to convict former President Donald Trump in his first impeachment, and one of seven to vote to convict in the second impeachment following the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.

Delegates tried to shout Romney down, calling him a “traitor” and “communist.” (Read more from “Utah GOP Boos Mitt Romney at State Convention: ‘Traitor!'” HERE)

Biden Issues Indian Travel Ban a Year After Calling Trump’s China Travel Ban Xenophobic

The Biden administration announced Friday it would begin to restrict travel from India on Tuesday as the world’s second-most populated country suffers an overwhelming surge in coronavirus cases.

“On the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the administration will restrict travel from India starting immediately,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement. “The policy will be implemented in light of extraordinarily high COVID-19 caseloads and multiple variants circulating in India. The policy will take effect on Tuesday, May 4.”

The travel ban comes a year after Biden vilified such restrictions as xenophobic when pursued by President Donald Trump while the Wuhan virus began to mutate into a global pandemic from China.

“This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysteria and xenophobia,” Biden said campaigning in Iowa on Jan. 31, the day Trump’s travel ban on China was announced. (Read more from “Biden Issues Indian Travel Ban a Year After Calling Trump’s China Travel Ban Xenophobic” HERE)

Chinese Embassy Tweets Anti-American, Antisemitic Cartoon

The Chinese Embassy in Japan last Thursday tweeted an antisemitic cartoon and then deleted it at the behest of Israel’s Foreign Ministry.

The cartoon featured an image of the Grim Reaper wearing an American flag and carrying a scythe with the Israeli flag as he goes door to door and leaves a bloody trail behind him. The doors are labeled Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria and Egypt.

The tweet in Japanese said: “If the United States brought ‘democracy,’ it would be like this.”

The cartoon demonized Israel, Israeli Ambassador to Japan Yaffa Ben-Ari told her Chinese counterpart, Cheng Yonghua, on Friday.

Yonghua said he had not noticed that Israel was part of the image. (Read more from “Chinese Embassy Tweets Anti-American, Antisemitic Cartoon” HERE)

White House Admits: Americans To Experience Some Inflation (VIDEO)

Council of Economic Advisers chair Cecilia Rouse said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that they expect to see some “transitory inflation” as America is coming out of the coronavirus pandemic. . .

She continued, “We know that there are some places where employers are struggling to workers because, let’s face it — we’re still in the middle of the pandemic. Some workers would like to go back to work but have font child care because schools are not open and the pandemic is still out of control in certain parts of our country. When we get to the other side of this pandemic, I fully expect that our labor market will come back and be flourishing. That said, we do expect some transitory price increases. The Feds expects that as well. We do not see evidence at the moment that those have become what we call de-anchored so that we expect runaway inflation. That said, we know we have to be vigilant, and we are watching the data. We expect, at the most, transitory inflation. That is what we expect coming out of a big recession.” (Read more from “White House Admits: Americans To Experience Some Inflation (VIDEO)” HERE)

Former Black Lives Matter Movement Leader Arrested

A one-time Black Lives Matter movement leader in Iowa City was arrested after allegedly lying to authorities about a killing that took place in his apartment.

Mazin M. Mohamedali, 20, was arrested Saturday and faces one count of accessory after the fact.

Police reported that Mohamedali, who previously identified himself as a leader of a racial justice group called the Iowa Freedom Riders leader, knew that 19-year-old Quincy Russom had been killed in his Iowa apartment on Feb. 12 during a suspected robbery but waited to call 911.

Police also said that he gave false descriptions of people involved with Russom’s death, lied during questioning, and withheld information that would have more quickly led them to the suspect behind the killing, Sammy Hamed. Alaska Woman Says FBI Raided Her Home in Search of Pelosi’s Stolen Laptop

By Washington Examiner. A woman from Anchorage, Alaska, claimed she was mistaken by the FBI for a woman who entered the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot and assisted in the theft of a laptop taken from the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The FBI and an agent from the U.S. Capitol Police served a warrant on Wednesday at the home of Paul and Marilyn Hueper, who said the search was related to the siege of Congress.

The couple said federal agents accused her of entering the U.S. Capitol and stealing Pelosi’s laptop and seized some laptops and cellphones from their home, according to an interview with KSRM-AM radio.

“So, I think almost right off the bat, they said, ‘Well, you probably know why we’re here,’ or something like that. It’s like, ‘Yeah, no, not really.’ And they said, ‘Well, we’re here for Nancy Pelosi’s laptop.’ And I said, ‘Oh.’” . . .

Officers had their guns drawn and handcuffed everyone in the home, including their guests, Hueper said. The woman said she and her husband were placed in different rooms and couldn’t see what was happening as officers searched (Read more from “Alaska Woman Says FBI Raided Her Home in Search of Pelosi’s Stolen Laptop” HERE)

With guns drawn, FBI raids Homer couple’s home, knocks down door

By Joel Davidson. Paul and Marilyn Hueper, owners of Homer Inn & Spa, woke with a start at 9 a.m. April 28 when a dozen armed FBI agents kicked down their front door in an investigation associated with Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s stolen laptop, which was taken during the Jan. 6 siege of the nation’s Capitol.

Homer resident Marilyn Heuper (left), posted this photo on Facebook to show the physical differences between her and the woman who FBI agents were looking for when they raided her home on April 28.

Speaking April 29 to Kenai-based radio host Bob Bird of the Bird’s Eye View, Paul recalled that he was alarmed and shocked to come out of his bedroom with seven guns pointing at him and his wife.

“It was a little alarming when I turned around the corner,” Paul said. “The first thing they did was start barking out commandments.”

Ultimately, the couple was handcuffed and interrogated for the better part of three hours before being released. In the end, it was a case of mistaken identity.

The Huepers were in D.C. for the rally with President Trump, but they never came close to entering the Capitol, and certainly never took Pelosi’s laptop.

It appears the FBI were most interested in Marilyn. They had a photo of a woman wearing the same coat as her, and with a similar hairstyle. The photo was taken from Capitol building cameras, according to Marilyn, but beyond the hair and coat, there is little similarity between Marilyn and the woman photographed inside the Capitol.

The entire saga, however, left the Huepers disoriented but determined to better understand and defend their personal liberties and those of their friends and neighbors.

Paul said he repeatedly asked to see a search warrant but was denied until two and a half hours had gone by.

Paul said he repeatedly asked to see a search warrant but was denied until two and a half hours had gone by. During that time, he was separated from his wife.

“We sat there really for the first hour, not knowing what’s going on,” Paul told the Bird’s Eye View. “They never offered for us to be comfortable,” he added, “It was very harshly done.”

Paul said the agents ransacked the house and left a huge hole in his front door, which they offered to replace.

Paul said he knew he was innocent of whatever they suspected of him and his wife, but that it was still “all pretty confusing.”

After more than an hour, the agents told him that the raid had to do with the Jan. 6 siege of the U.S. Capitol.

“That’s what we were there for,” he said, adding that they never broke any laws. In fact, Paul said they never entered the Capitol building and were “at most a hundred yards away” from the entrance.

Agents showed Paul a photo of the woman who did enter the Capitol and asked if that was his wife.

“They had the same coat on,” he told Bird, but said the face of the woman was quite different from his wife’s. “My wife is much better looking than that,” he said.

While separated from her husband, Marilyn was told why the agents were at their home.

“They said, ‘We’re here for Nancy Pelosi’s laptop,” she recalled. “So, I guess it was stolen and it is still at large.”

The agents then claimed that they had positively identified Marilyn as being in the Capitol building and that they wanted to know who she was working with.

Marilyn said she tried to be respectful but couldn’t help but laugh.

“A lot of us have fallen down on the job,” she said of the duty to know and understand basic civil liberties. “The ball lies squarely in our court.”

She asked to see some identification, at which point agents quickly flashed their badges.

“I couldn’t read it fast enough to know what it was,” she said of the badges. She then asked to see a warrant and was told that she “would get to see it” later.

When repeatedly told she was the woman in the photo, Marilyn responded by saying “I would like to know how I split myself into two locations because I didn’t know I had this power.”

The first photo agents showed her was very fuzzy and depicted a woman wearing a similar coat with a similar hairstyle. They then showed her a photo of the woman’s face.

She told them, “Oh that’s obviously not me. Why didn’t you show me that photo to start with?” The woman in the photo has detached earlobes – Marilyn’s are attached, she said. Plus, the woman was wearing a sweater that Marilyn said, “You couldn’t pay me to wear.”

The agents suggested that she was lying and not cooperating, she told Bird.

At no point was the couple read their Miranda rights or charged with any crime, and the agents left after three hours without offering an apology. They also took Marilyn’s phones and laptop, she said.

Both Huepers say the whole ordeal has revealed just how little they know about their legal rights when dealing with the government.

“We really need to understand our latitude of choices,” Marilyn said. This is especially true when you see guns pointed at you and “you don’t want to disappoint them,” she said.

Marilyn said the raid has inspired her to know her rights.

“A lot of us have fallen down on the job,” she said of the duty to know and understand basic civil liberties. “The ball lies squarely in our court.”

Paul agreed, saying he feels “invigorated” to stand up for his personal liberties.

“This energizes me to take the right next step,” he said. “This fires me up to take care of my business as a citizen to do what’s right.” (this story about the Alaska woman whose house was raided was originally posted HERE)

Capitol Protester Who Put His Feet on Pelosi’s Desk Released From Jail

By MSN News. A federal judge on Tuesday ordered that Richard Barnett, the man who was photographed sitting at Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk during the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, be released from jail pending trial.

Barnett, 60, left the Washington, D.C., jail where he was being held Tuesday night and will be placed on home detention and subject to GPS monitoring at his home in Arkansas, according to the ruling. He will be prohibited from having any weapons in his home. Federal Judge Chris Cooper said that Barnett, who has been in jail since January, should be released because he does not present a danger to society.

The ruling reverses a January decision from Chief Judge Beryl Howell, who decided to detain Barnett pending trial. At the time, Howell said Barnett’s “total disregard” for the law should keep him behind bars. Barnett has pleaded not guilty to seven criminal charges. WATCH: Biden’s Secret Service Arrests Illegal Aliens Outside White House; Leftist Activists Stage Protest: ‘Cops and Borders, We Don’t Need Them! All We Want Is Total Freedom!’

By Breitbart. A group of illegal aliens and open borders activists were arrested on Friday by members of President Joe Biden’s secret service after blocking an intersection near the White House, demanding that Biden give them amnesty to permanently stay in the United States.

A couple of dozen activists affiliated with the open borders organization Movimiento Cosecha sat by a security checkpoint near the White House complex, reportedly delaying Biden’s motorcade, as Secret Service Police officers looked on.

Open Borders Activists: ‘Cops and Borders, We Don’t Need Them! All We Want Is Total Freedom!’

By Breitbart. A group of open borders activists and illegal aliens demanded “total freedom” from both law enforcement and borders during a lengthy demonstration in Washington, DC, Friday, where Secret Service made arrests after activists blocked an intersection near the White House.

Several activists, some of whom are affiliated with the group Movimiento Cosecha, carried megaphones and led the crowd in chants of “Cops and borders we don’t need them. All we want is total freedom!”

According to a release detailing the protest, illegal aliens, DACA recipients, and their allies moved to block traffic around the White House on President Biden’s 100th day of office to protest what they described as “crumbs” from the 78-year-old commander-in-chief and his fellow Democrats.

“President Biden ended his first 100 days in office with broken promises and insufficient action for my community,” Gema Lowe, an organizer with Movimiento Cosecha, said in a statement, criticizing Biden’s pursuit of a “piecemeal” strategy” instead of blanket amnesty — a reference to the Dream and Promise Act, specifically.

“Biden originally committed to a pathway to citizenship for all 11 million undocumented immigrants. Now he is ready to pursue a ‘piecemeal’ strategy instead that would exclude me and millions of others who have lived in this country for decades,” Lowe said. Black People Apparently Promote White Supremacy by Smoking Menthol Cigarettes

Pretty much everything about “systemic racism” and “institutionalized racism” in the United States is a lie, a way to guilt normal, middle-class people into handing money and power to whoever is telling it (Democrats and liberals).

To get a sense of just how absurd it gets, the Washington Post on Wednesday reported on President Joe Biden’s expected proposal to ban cigarette companies from using menthol in their product because black people have a preference for those types of cigarettes, and using them is exacerbating health problems in that population.

The report said that anti-smoking advocates “became more optimistic about a possible federal ban in recent months amid President Biden’s repeated vows to reduce health disparities made glaringly obvious by the coronavirus pandemic, and efforts by the Black Lives Matter movement to focus on institutionalized racism.”

Wait a second. If black people are choosing to smoke cigarettes that disproportionately affect the black population, wouldn’t that mean that they themselves are perpetuating “institutionalized racism”? At Least 90 People Found in Texas Home, Possible Human Smuggling Ring

The Houston Police Department is investigating a possible human smuggling case after officers discovered at least 90 people inside a residence.

Officers initially responded to a call at the 12200 block of Chessington Drive regarding a kidnapping, according to the Houston Police Department. Authorities now say the incident “may possibly involve human smuggling” after finding dozens of individuals.

“Last night we were made aware of a kidnapping call” Houston Police Assistant Chief Daryn Edwards, said during a briefing Friday.

Edwards said investigators worked through the night to track down the possible location and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon arrival, authorities realized it had turned into a human smuggling investigation. (Read more from “At Least 90 People Found in Texas Home, Possible Human Smuggling Ring” HERE)

Al-Qaida Promises America a ‘War on All Fronts’ Despite Pull Out

Al-Qaida said that their war against America is not over despite President Joe Biden’s planned removal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan on the 20-year anniversary of the September 11 attacks, CNN reported.

Two al-Qaida operatives told CNN via intermediaries that the “war against the U.S. will be continuing on all other fronts unless they are expelled from the rest of the Islamic world.” (RELATED: ‘Handing A Propaganda Tool To The Taliban’: Dana Perino Blasts Plan To Set Afghanistan Exit For 9/11)

Biden previously announced that he would remove all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021. . .

Paul Cruickshank, editor-in-chief of West Point’s CTC Sentinel, said al-Qaida likely feels “buoyed by the Biden administration’s decision to pull out troops from Afghanistan, but they may also be seeking to deflect attention from the many recent losses,” according to CNN.
