Alaska Airlines Bans State Senator for Refusing to Follow Mask Rules

Alaska Airlines has banned Alaska state Sen. Lora Reinbold (R-Eagle River) from flying on the airline for repeatedly refusing to follow mask mandates.

“We have notified Senator Lora Reinbold that she is not permitted to fly with us for her continued refusal to comply with employee instruction regarding the current mask policy,” Alaska Airlines spokesperson Tim Thompson told The Epoch Times via email.

“This suspension is effective immediately pending further review. Federal law requires all guests to wear a mask over their nose and mouth at all times during travel, including throughout the flight, during boarding and deplaning, and while traveling through an airport.” . . .

Videos on Twitter appear to show the senator discussing the incident with the airline staff.

Reinbold said, in a statement: “I was reasonable with all Alaska Airlines employees. I have been flying on Alaska Air for decades and am an MVP gold. Biden Nomination Would Be Pentagon’s Most Senior Openly Transgender Official

President Biden will nominate a transgender retired Navy commander to oversee readiness at the Pentagon, the White House said Friday.

If confirmed as assistant secretary of Defense for readiness, Shawn Skelly would be the highest ever ranking openly transgender defense official.

Skelly, a former Navy aviator, most recently served on Biden’s Pentagon transition team.

[He] is also the co-founder and vice president of Out in National Security, which advocates for increased representation of LGBT people in the national security workforce.

[His] nomination comes after Biden reversed the Trump administration’s ban on most transgender service members. Late last month, the Pentagon released its new rules allowing open service by transgender troops, essentially reverting to the Obama administration’s open service policy. The grandfather of modern physics, Sir Isaac Newton, has become the latest target of the woke mob in the push to “decolonise the curriculum”, as Sheffield University is reportedly set to contextualise lessons on Newton with claims about him benefiting from “colonial-era activity”.

Students at the university in the north of England will reportedly have lessons on Netwon’s groundbreaking three laws of motion, including the law of gravity, with explainers detailing the “global origins and historical context” of his theories.

Professors in the engineering department of Sheffield University will seek to “challenge long-standing conscious and unconscious biases” among pupils and to confront the supposed “white saviour” and “Eurocentric” view of science and mathematics, according to documents seen by The Telegraph.

A diversity consultant at several top universities in Britain decried the efforts to decolonise the curriculum, warning that the movement is expanding from the traditionally left-wing humanities departments into the hard sciences.

“I’m employed by universities to do this training but for me equality, diversity and inclusion training is equality of opportunity, diversity of thought and inclusivity of action – that’s all,” the unnamed consultant said.

Americans Will Officially Need a Vaccine Passport for at Least One Activity This Year

Americans will need a vaccine passport in order to travel to Europe this summer.

More than one year after the European Union shut down nonessential travel from most of the world, the bloc will reopen its borders to American tourists this summer. There’s one catch: those tourists will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen told The New York Times.

American and European officials have reportedly been in talks on how to create a vaccine certificate to clear citizens for international travel. “All 27 member states will accept, unconditionally, all those who are vaccinated with vaccines that are approved by E.M.A. (European Medicines Agency),” von der Leyen told the Times. Man Kicked off City Commission After Failing to Address Black Professor as ‘Doctor’

The city council of Greensboro, North Carolina, voted unanimously to oust a construction contractor from the zoning commission after a tense exchange in which he failed to address a black professor as “doctor,” the Greensboro News & Record reported.

Council member Sharon Hightower last week said Tony Collins exhibited “white privilege and entitlement. And what I saw last night at the zoning commission meeting was white privilege at its ultimate finest. It was absolutely disrespectful … to dress down an African American female was unacceptable,” WFMY-TV reported.

Carrie Rosario is a Greensboro citizen and an associate professor of public health education at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, the station said, adding that she holds a DrPH — a professional doctoral-level degree in public health.

During the April 19 Greensboro Zoning Commission virtual meeting, Rosario introduced herself as “Dr. Rosario” to the commission before noting her opposition to a planned development near her home, WFMY reported.

Refund the Police: Dem Mayor Requests More Police Funding Over High Crime, Officer Shortage

. . .Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti (D) is proposing to increase the budget of the Los Angeles Police Department amid skyrocketing violent crime and increased vacancies within the department.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Garcetti is proposing a 3% increase to the LAPD budget from $1.71 billion to $1.76 billion. . .

More from the Times:

The mayor’s plan, which covers the fiscal year starting July 1, would continue to provide a force of about 9,750 sworn police officers. The number of officers at the department now is lower, however, because of retirements and resignations. The LAPD is expected to have 9,489 officers on June 30. […]

A Garcetti aide said at a briefing Tuesday morning that the decision to keep the LAPD budget mostly the same was in part a response to rising crime. Hours later, Garcetti said the city needs to continue to keep hiring officers to keep up with retirements.

BLM Calls for Justice for Ma’Khia Bryant but Not for a Pregnant Black Teenager Gunned Down the Same Day

An 18-year-old pregnant black woman, J’Lyn Quinones, was fatally shot on the same day as Ma’Khia Bryant, but her story did not garner the same attention and outrage from Black Lives Matter activists.

“I know that J’Lyn was strong because her last act of strength on this earth was to ensure that her daughter was born,” said one mourner at a vigil that was held in honor of Quinones.

Quinones was crossing the street in Capitol Heights, Maryland, Tuesday during the day when she and another woman were shot. While doctors were able to save her baby during an emergency surgery, Quinones later died of her wounds.

One of the suspects in the case, 22-year-old Michael Johnson, is believed to be the father of the baby Quinones was carrying when she was killed. Johnson and another suspect were charged with accessory after first-degree murder for allegedly helping a third suspect, 21-year-old Malik Johnson, evade arrest after the shooting.

“Violence has increased in Prince George’s County and in Washington, D.C. And we have to do something about it, especially on young women,” Quinones’s mother said at the vigil. Student Shares Campus Tale That Soap Dispensers Are Racist

A student at the University of California, Los Angeles suggested that hand soap dispensers are the latest form of systemic racism, according to her peer.

Sullivan Israel, a civil engineering student, recounted a debate he attended by his school’s Republican group in which a black student said automatic dispensers did not take to her because of the color of her skin.

“As one UCLA student claimed during the debate, automatic soap dispensers ‘don’t see her hands’ due to the dark pigment of her skin,” Israel wrote in the College Fix. “As another student reiterated, soap dispensers are racist because they force ‘black and brown bodies’ to show their palms — ‘the only light areas of the skin’ — in order to get soap out.”

However, automated soap dispensers use a motion detector that triggers the soap to fall, rather than a detection mechanism determined by the color of someone’s skin.

Pope Hangs Image of Nude Jesus Caressing Judas Behind His Desk

A report by the Vatican’s own newspaper reveals Pope Francis recently hung an image behind his desk depicting a naked Jesus Christ caressing his dead apostle Judas Iscariot. . .

The Catholic-defense group Tradition in Action was among the first to blast the display, writing:

The editor – probably obeying an order of Pope Francis – chose to post on its front page the reproduction of a picture, above and below first row, that presents a naked Jesus bending over and tenderly ministering to a dead Judas. . .

The defense of Judas has been made in the name of the abyss of God’s mercy. So we see that now Divine Mercy, against all the Scriptural evidence, also applies to the most infamous criminal in History.

Are we far from the day when the same mercy will be applied to another Great Traitor, Satan? Does it not appear that the Vatican’s semi-official launching of the “Church of Judas” is the prelude to the coming “Church of Satan”?

SpaceX Craft Had Close Call With UFO After Launching Into Orbit (VIDEO)

SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endeavor spacecraft had a close call with an unidentified object before reaching the International Space Station, a report said.

US Space Command warned the crew aboard the spacecraft of a possible collision with an unknown object after launching into orbit on Friday, Futurism reported.

“The possibility of the conjunction came so close to the closest approach time that there wasn’t time to compute and execute a debris avoidance maneuver with confidence, so the SpaceX team elected to have the crew don their pressure suits out of an abundance of caution,” NASA spokesperson Kelly Humphries told Futurism.
