Poll Shows The Electoral College Could Be A Nightmare For Democrats

Thanks to Democrats’ circular firing squad on the Nevada debate stage on Wednesday night, President Trump ought to have woken up feeling pretty good about his reelection odds, and a Quinnipiac poll just confirmed that the primary’s front-runners aren’t just weak generally but specifically in the “swing states” that gave Trump his Electoral College victory in 2016.

In Wisconsin, Trump blows out every single top Democrat in head-to-head matchups. Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren lose to him by double digits, and supposed centrists Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg lose by 8 points. Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden fare best against Trump, losing to him by 7 points, more than twice the poll’s margin of error. . .

On paper, Democrats enjoy their best odds in Pennsylvania, with Biden leading Trump by 8 points, Klobuchar leading by 7, and Bloomberg leading by 6. But front-runner Sanders leads by a mere 4 points, and that’s before Trump plasters the state with clips of Sanders declaring that he plans to use executive powers to ban all fracking, a technique that has both driven America’s world-leading decline in carbon emissions and created jobs for hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians. . .

Quinnipiac corroborates what previous polling has long warned for Democrats. They could face another Electoral College loss, but perhaps even narrower.

Assuming Trump has Wisconsin on lock, that leaves Michigan and Pennsylvania open for speculation. Seeing as how Hillary Clinton apparently supported fracking and still lost Pennsylvania, there’s ample reason to believe that Sanders would get blown out, especially considering the distribution of Clinton’s loss, as shown below:

Donald Trump: ‘I’d Love To See Roger Exonerated’

President Donald Trump expressed hope on Thursday that political operative Roger Stone would be freed, but he stopped short of announcing a presidential pardon or commutation.

“I’m following this very closely and I want to see it play out to its fullest because Roger has a very good chance of exoneration in my opinion,” Trump said on Thursday.

The president spoke at a Hope for Prisoners Graduation Ceremony, where former inmates got their diplomas.

Trump said that he had known Stone and his family for many years and that the infamous political operative never had an official role in the Trump campaign but had done some consulting work for him over the years.

“Roger is definitely a character … he’s a smart guy, he’s a little different, but those are sometimes the most interesting,” he said. (Read more from “Donald Trump: ‘I’d Love To See Roger Exonerated’” HERE)

WATCH: Brave Chinese Woman Risks Her Life To Denounce ‘Evil’ Regime’s Handling Of Coronavirus; 2 Passengers Die After Leaving ‘Chaotic’ Quarantined Cruise Ship

By Breitbart. An anonymous Chinese woman courageously posted a video message to her fellow citizens on Sunday in which she called for resistance to the Communist Party, accusing it of destroying countless lives by bungling its response to the Wuhan coronavirus and warning that even now, the Party is primarily interested in suppressing dissent and maintaining power than fighting the disease.

Taiwan News was impressed by the woman’s willingness to say just about everything that can get you arrested in China, at a moment when swarms of censors have been unleashed to quash public anger over the coronavirus:

In the opening of the video, the woman addresses her “fellow citizens,” saying that ordinary people are being sacrificed by the “schemes and plans of the government.” She complains the government does not care about the average person and that no amount of money can buy the necessary medicine and hospital beds needed to treat the deadly virus.

She then proceeds to break every major taboo in the CCP censors’ book by expressing her support for independence in Tibet, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. She condemns the “evil deeds of the Chinese Communist Party and the corrupt regime, and evil society,” which she says prevents people from speaking freely.

The woman points out that anyone who dares to speak about the reality on the ground in Wuhan is quickly rounded up by the police. She says the solution of the authorities is to take people “to drink tea,” a euphemism for police interrogation, followed by detention and adjudication.

2 Passengers Die After Leaving ‘Chaotic’ Quarantined Cruise Ship

By NBC News. . .The mandatory federal quarantine for nearly all of the U.S. citizens and their families who were evacuated from Wuhan, China, earlier this month on State Department-chartered planes has ended.

On Thursday, the 57 evacuees at Camp Ashland near Omaha, Nebraska took their final health checks. All were determined to be healthy.

“These people pose no health threat to their communities,” Dr. Eric Kasowski, CDC team leader for the quarantine in Omaha, said in a statement. “These Americans have done their duty — 14 days — and they’re getting to go back to their families.” . . .

Another group of 63 people who were under quarantine at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego has also been released. One of those evacuees was also diagnosed with COVID-19, and is hospitalized. The CDC said a close contact of that patient will remain under quarantine.

“Two passengers’ journeys have been delayed, but we are confident in the care they are receiving from local health officials and health care providers,” Dr. Erin Staples, CDC team leader for the quarantine in San Diego, said. Chris Pratt Reveals That Frozen Bodies Were Found At Icelandic Filming Site. The Details Might Shock You

Actor Chris Pratt claimed the frozen bodies of a couple who disappeared decades ago while hiking were found at a film site.

The bodies were discovered at the filming location of “The Tomorrow War,” Pratt told Ellen DeGeneres during Wednesday’s episode of “The Ellen Show.” The “fully preserved” couple was discovered weeks before the film crew trekked to the summit, the actor admitted.

“They had been there for over 80 years, and sadly, they didn’t make it,” Pratt said on the show. “They were fully preserved in their glacier hiking clothes from 1930 or 1940. They had their supplies and rations. They were lovers and they fell down in a hole and just went missing and just recently were found.”

“Isn’t that wild?” he added. “Thankfully, we got out and nobody fell in any holes … that we’re reporting.”

Local police could not confirm Pratt’s story, according to Icelandic reporter Ingunn Lára Kristjánsdóttir, Insider reported. (Read more from “Chris Pratt Reveals That Frozen Bodies Were Found At Icelandic Filming Site. The Details Might Shock You” HERE)

Trump Lashes Out At Fox News Coverage

President Trump on Thursday lashed out after a segment on Fox News’s “Your World with Cavuto,” in which RealClearPolitics associate editor A.B. Stoddard compared former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance to “cringe-worthy” moments Trump has had on the debate stage.

“There were many bombs,” Stoddard, a former associate editor at The Hill, said on Fox News, while analyzing Bloomberg’s debate performance.

“I think he’s uncoachable. I think that Donald Trump had disastrous debate performances, many answers were so cringe-worthy you just couldn’t believe he was still standing on the stage, and he’s president so I don’t think debates kill off normal candidates who do not have a billionaire juggernaut machine,” Stoddard added.

Trump promptly took to Twitter to attack the commentator, as well as host Neil Cavuto, while taking a swipe at former Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who is now on the board of Fox News.

“Could somebody at @foxnews please explain to Trump hater A.B. Stoddard (zero talent!) and @TeamCavuto, that I won every one of my debates, from beginning to end. Check the polls taken immediately after the debates. The debates got me elected. Must be Fox Board Member Paul Ryan!” Trump tweeted.

Study: Taxpayers In Low-migration States Pay $454M A Year For Illegal Aliens, Anchor Babies

Taxpayers in the ten states with the smallest foreign-born populations are still burdened by a cost of about $454 million every year to pay for various social services for illegal aliens and their United States-born children.

A study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) analyzes the cost of illegal immigration and the anchor baby population to American taxpayers who live in the ten least immigrant-populated states, including New Hampshire, Mississippi, Alaska, Maine, North Dakota, West Virginia, South Dakota, Vermont, Montana, and Wyoming.

The research reveals that even in low-migration states, the cost to American taxpayers is still significant. Of the total 415,000 foreign-born residents living in these ten states, about 88,000 are illegal aliens — indicating that illegal aliens represent more than 20 percent of foreign-born residents.

Those 88,000 illegal aliens across these ten states, along with about 35,000 of their U.S.-born children, are costing American taxpayers about $454 million every year, with each illegal alien costing anywhere between $4,000 and $6,000.

“To put that figure into context, that $454 million expenditure is more than 200 times what the state of Montana budgets for its entire Veterans Affairs program and it is 2.5 times the total sum that West Virginia invests in its state university,” the FAIR study notes. Mike Bloomberg’s Supremely Materialistic, Anti-Human Ideology

. . .Begin with Bloomberg’s disturbing warmth toward China’s regime. Bloomberg News has, according to insiders, spiked stories that were critical of the regime. Bloomberg also kicked off his current presidential run by praising China’s environmental record and lauding the way the government holds power, in addition to rejecting the idea that Xi Jinping is a dictator, suggesting that a majority of the population approves of his rule.

At best, Bloomberg is saying that individual liberty and free expression can be suppressed, so long as the guy suppressing them could, in theory, find public support for it — and by “support,” he’s not necessarily referring to a free election. That’s unnerving, coming from a guy running to become president.

In this context, consider his Big Gulp bans, his smoking bans, his trans-fat bans, and his tireless campaign to outlaw guns. Bloomberg clearly rejects the notion that ordinary people should be allowed to make their own mistakes. Treating adults as adults and respecting their self-determination is not something Bloomberg believes in.

So, how then to understand his massive support for Planned Parenthood, his 100% pro-choice record on abortion, and his call to deregulate abortion clinics? Just go back to his workplace conduct.

Telling an expectant mother to kill her baby, mocking a new mother’s desire for quality child care, cursing whenever a female employee gets pregnant, and publicly denigrating marriage among professional women all reflect a clear and consistent mindset: The women who worked for him were worker bees. Their humanity, their fertility, their love, and their human attachments were all impediments to productivity. He saw these women as means to his ends of profit. It’s Time To Focus On The GOP Debate

While everyone in conservative media seems fixated on commenting on the Democrat primary debates, they are missing the raging internal GOP debates. No, there is no high-profile debate stage for Republicans this year, and Donald Trump is running for the presidential nomination essentially unopposed. But there is a behind-the-scenes fight for the heart and soul of the Trump presidency that will determine what sort of second term may be waiting for Trump’s base at the other side of this election cycle.

Second terms of Republican presidents don’t work out well for conservatives. It’s truly hard to remember a good second term from a GOP president since Calvin Coolidge (and that was his first and only elected term). Bush’s second term was essentially the forerunner to Obama’s presidency on almost every major issue. Reagan was better, but we got a failed amnesty bill.

Contrary to what loyal GOP voters think – that re-election against the onslaught of the media will push the Republican president into righteous principled governance – Republican presidents tend to move leftward and lose steam in their second term. The GOP swamp is already chomping at the bit to promote amnesty, another expansion of foreign workers to displace Americans, a massive pro-criminal bill, a global warming agenda, and endless new entitlement and spending programs during a second term. Those with the elitist swamp mindset are all over the White House and executive branch, and the leadership in Congress is nearly identical to the leadership that turned off Republican voters last decade and prompted them to vote for Trump in the first place.

Take a look at the Cabinet-level officials in this administration and count how many of them are cut from the “MAGA” cloth and support an America-first agenda. If you get ambitious, go down to the deputy secretary and agency-head level as well. You’ll be able to count the number of true believers in Trump’s original campaign message on one hand, perhaps two if you go down low enough. Every day, they work with swampy Republicans in Congress and the business interests, donors, and trade associations on the outside who prop them up to promote everything Trump voters detest.

This GOP debate – something much more important than Elizabeth Warren sparring with Mike Bloomberg – played out between Rep. Chip Roy and Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday. And unlike with the Democrat debate, conservative influencers can actually sway the outcome of this debate and determine whether we will have a party and a Trump second term more in line with Chip Roy – or with Lindsey Graham. The gulf between a Chip Roy and a Lindsey Graham is greater than the gulf between Graham and Bloomberg. In fact, Graham and Bloomberg agree on an awful lot of issues.

Following revelations that Lindsey Graham, who is chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and other high-profile GOP senators and administration officials are trying to get Trump to buy into a massive amnesty and foreign worker proposal, Rep. Chip Roy sent him a letter expressing his concern. Noting our dangerous border and criminal alien crisis, Roy admonished Graham that there “should be no amnesty considered as we should be squarely focused on re-establishing actual operational control of our border, which we currently do not have.”

Roy, who once served as a staffer on the committee Graham now chairs, currently has a bill calling for the destruction of the Carrizo cane, vegetation that grows up to 25 feet tall along the Rio Grande River, where the cartel scouts and smugglers hide out, and for building access roads for Border Patrol along the river. In the letter to Graham, Roy lays out what GOP leaders should be focused on:

Dangerous cartels are at war in Tamaulipas along the Mexico-Texas border, maintaining operational control along much of the border. We have not taken the steps necessary to treat cartels like the terrorist actors they are. Only a little over 100 miles of actual fencing has been completed, largely on areas that already had at least barriers. Narcotics flow is as bad as it has ever been, with fentanyl now littering our cities across the country. We are relying on Mexico to hold the line for us – which is tenuous at best. We have not fixed Flores or ended catch-and-release policies, we have not fixed our asylum laws from the potential of abuse, and we have not fixed TVPRA to allow for the safe and easy return of children and immigrants to their homes. Border Patrol and ICE need more resources and beds. We have vast areas of the border which are overrun by cane and have no roads allowing navigation along the Rio Grande. I could go on, but to be clear, we’ve taken maybe 5 steps of 100 needed to actually secure the border.

Indeed, those were Trump’s campaign promises. But this language that Roy is speaking may as well be Swahili to swamp Republicans and the special interests that seem to have home field advantage both in Congress and at the White House. They don’t consider victims of crime, illegal immigration, human and drug smuggling, or the American worker in their calculous. That is not the language they speak. The question for conservatives is whether we will enjoy a second term where the MAGA agenda is the native language or not.

Will we have a second term that prioritizes the needs of American taxpayers and workers over the open-borders cartel?

Will this be a second term where we finally control our immigration system from espionage, terrorism, trade secret theft, and labor exploitation, or will we continue serving the gods of Big Education, Big Ag, and Big Tech who suck us dry to the benefit of China, India, and Saudi Arabia?

Will we have a second term of clamping down on the cartels and drug traffickers or one that continues misdiagnosing the drug crisis, going easy on traffickers, and harming pain patients?

Will we have a second term that cuts all the programs Trump promised in his budget blueprint and bring welfare reform, or will we have a second term creating new entitlements?

Will we have a second term where Republicans finally take on the health care cartel and the endless Medicaid handouts for big conglomerates and insurance companies that are destroying private practice and boxing out consumers and instead promote health care freedom by cutting out the middlemen? Or will this be another term of Republicans promoting endless Medicaid, while warning about the next rung of socialism from the Democrats that they will inevitably join in a few years?

Will this finally be the term where Republicans in Congress and the executive branch take back stolen power from the unelected courts, or will this be another shell game of promoting judicial supremacism while losing our country to district judges and the ACLU?

Will this be another term where Republicans pass gun control while releasing violent felons from federal prison, or a term where we protect law-abiding citizens by locking up the bad guys and arming the good guys?

Will we have a second term of House Appropriations committee chairs like Kay Granger who will fund increased bureaucracies and Planned Parenthood, but not more ICE officers? Or will conservatives finally focus on GOP primaries and support people like Chris Putnam, her primary challenger?

The ball is in the court of those who claim to be conservative and hold sway with the White House. Trump cares deeply about the priorities of conservative leaders and, nine times out of ten, will listen to their requests. But just what are their priorities? FBI Had Dirt That Could Have ‘Unraveled’ Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Entire Network’ More Than A Decade Ago

Feds In Florida Knew About The Victim Central To Jeffrey Epstein’s Indictment 11 Years Earlier

By The Blaze. Federal agents in Florida were aware of key allegations of childhood sexual abuse against Jeffrey Epstein over a decade ago, ABC News revealed Thursday.

According to court documents, a woman had come forward with detailed accounts of abuse against Epstein and was set to appear before a grand jury in the original federal investigation against the billionaire hedge fund manager in Florida. But after Epstein secured a favorable deal with prosecutors that resulted in him serving 18 months in county jail, the case was closed and the allegations went unheard — until last year.

Here’s the scoop from ABC News:

A woman whose allegations of childhood sex abuse in New York were central to last year’s indictment of Jeffrey Epstein was questioned by the FBI and subpoenaed for testimony by federal prosecutors in Florida more than a decade ago in connection with the first federal investigation into Epstein’s alleged child sex trafficking, according to court documents and multiple sources familiar with the events.

But the woman, who was 19 at the time of her initial contact with federal agents in 2008, did not appear before a grand jury in West Palm Beach, as the subpoena commanded. Before her testimony could be secured, Epstein cemented a controversial and once-secret non-prosecution agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami by pleading guilty to two state prostitution charges for which he was sentenced to 18 months in a county jail … with the deal done, the federal grand jury was suspended, the investigation halted, and the subpoena to the woman, ultimately, withdrawn.

FBI Had Dirt That Could Have ‘Unraveled’ Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Entire Network’ More Than A Decade Ago

By Law and Crime. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had dirt on Jeffrey Epstein more than a decade ago–but he was bailed out by federal prosecutors in Florida before authorities had the chance to act on that information. . .

The woman’s identity is currently being shrouded out of respect for privacy but she was identified in 2019 by the Southern District of New York (SDNY) in Epstein’s indictment as “Minor Victim-1.” Spencer Kuvin, an attorney who represented three Epstein victims, told ABC the FBI “could have unraveled the entire network from New York to Paris to New Mexico.”

“In or about 2002, Minor Victim-1 was recruited to engage in sex acts with Epstein and was repeatedly sexually abused by Epstein at the New York Residence over a period of years and was paid hundreds of dollars for each encounter,” the SDNY filing notes. “Epstein also encouraged and enticed Minor Victim-1 to recruit other girls to engage in paid sex acts, which she did. Epstein asked Minor Victim-1 how old she was, and Minor Victim-1 answered truthfully.”

The man whose child sex abuse empire was allegedly enjoyed by several of the world’s most popular and powerful men in art, politics and finance was, of course, pronounced dead by suicide in Aug. 2019 under extremely suspicious circumstances soon after being apprehended by New York authorities. Justice, it seems, had eluded his dozens of victims for the final time. . .

“[Her] experience with Epstein fit within what is now known to have been a common pattern for the abuser,” the lawsuit reads. “He would find vulnerable young girls who needed money and slowly test their boundaries—first asking them to remove their own clothes and massage him and then, over time, he would escalate his conduct, touching them in ways that would become more invasive, violent, and painful. As these children grew to rely financially on Epstein, he would only cause them more and more harm.” (Read more from “FBI Had Dirt That Could Have ‘Unraveled’ Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Entire Network’ More Than A Decade Ago” HERE)
