2020 Hack Attack: Iranian Hackers Go After Trump’s Re-Election Campaign

Iranian hackers attempted to hack President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign, The New York Times reported Friday afternoon, citing sources who are familiar with the matter but who cannot comment publicly.

The report comes hours after Microsoft said hackers made more 2,000 attempts to identify the email accounts of current and former U.S. officials and accounts associated with presidential campaigns. The sources said it was unclear what if any information was obtained.

“We have no indication that any of our campaign infrastructure was targeted,” Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign’s communications director, said in a press statement addressing the matter. . .

Researchers have long-warned that such attempts would increase, especially after Russia tried to interfere in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The Iranian hackers used online information to get ahold of passwords, The NYT reported. (Read more from “2020 Hack Attack: Iranian Hackers Go After Trump’s Re-Election Campaign” HERE)

NFL Player Fined $7,000 for Wearing ‘Man of God’ Headband UNDER Helmet

A New Orleans Saints linebacker says he will stop wearing a “Man of God” headband after being fined by the NFL.

The Saints’ Demario Davis wore a headband with the words “Man of God” the first three weeks of the season before the NFL noticed and fined him $7,017. League policy prohibits “personal messages” on the uniform. . .

Davis is vocal about his faith. His Twitter and Instagram bios read “Servant of Christ.” He’s also founder of the Devoted Dreamers Foundation, a faith-based organization for inner-city children.

“I don’t think a lot of people were aware of the policy that was in place – I wasn’t even fully aware of it,” Davis told the newspaper about the policy and his headband. “I just wanted to put it out and just kind of help fans who care about the game understand a more intricate part of the game.” . . .

“Of course you don’t want to be fined,” Davis told the newspaper. “Nobody wants to lose money but I think any time that the conversation about God is brought up, especially in these times, I think it’s always a positive or silver lining.” (Read more from “NFL Player Fined $7,000 for Wearing ‘Man of God’ Headband UNDER Helmet” HERE)

Business to Supreme Court: Ending DACA Will Boost Americans’ Wages

Business groups asked the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the DACA amnesty for 650,000 illegals — but their plea to the court cites two studies that predict Americans’ wages will rise if the DACA illegals are sent home.

“History confirms that forcing Dreamers out of the workforce will reduce job growth and harm the U.S. economy,” says the legal plea submitted to the court on October 4 by 143 business associations and companies:

After Arizona passed the Legal Arizona Workers Act (LAWA) in 2007, which targeted the use of unauthorized workers, economic growth fell, reducing job opportunities. The State’s total employment was 2.5 percent less than what it would have been without the law, and its GDP was reduced by an average of 2 percent a year between 2008 and 2015.

The legal brief attributes the data to a 2016 article in the Wall Street Journal, which was titled, “The Thorny Economics of Illegal Immigration.” But the business groups hid the article’s main conclusion: Fewer illegals ensure more pay for Americans:

Economists of opposing political views agree the state’s economy took a hit when large numbers of illegal immigrants left for Mexico and other border states, following a broad crackdown. But they also say the reduced competition for low-skilled jobs was a boon for some native-born construction and agricultural workers who got jobs or raises, and that the departures also saved the state money on education and health care. Whether those gains are worth the economic pain is the crux of the [political] debate.

FLASHBACK: Remember When Hillary ‘Asked’ for China’s Help for Dirt on Trump?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton publicly asked the People’s Republic of China in May to release President Donald Trump’s tax returns — exactly the same act that Democrats and the media claim warrants impeachment.

Clinton, the defeated 2016 Democratic Party nominee for president, appeared on MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Show on May 1, 2019. She repeated Trump’s joke from July 2016 — which was taken seriously enough by President Barack Obama and the intelligence community to provide a pretext for eavesdropping on the Trump campaign — in which he said, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 [Clinton] e-mails that are missing.”

As Breitbart News reported in May, the former secretary of state told Maddow that since Senate Republicans declined to pass Democrat-sponsored bills to secure American elections against foreign interference, the left should openly enlist the aid of Chinese espionage (transcript via MSNBC):

. . .Rachel Maddow: I hereby tonight ask China –

Hillary Clinton: That`s right. And not only that, China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns. I’m sure our media would richly reward you.

The Supposedly Moderate Joe Biden Wants Gun Owners to Either Hand Over Their Firearms or Register With the Feds

Democratic presidential candidate and former Vice President Joe Biden wants gun owners to either hand their hardware to the feds or sign up for a national registry, according to his campaign’s gun control plan announced on Thursday.

At a candidate gun control forum on the day before the plan’s announcement, Biden said that something like a national gun registry or national gun licensing was something that could be done “down the line,” but spoke more strongly in favor of “serious things” that could be done quickly.

One of those “serious things,” outlined in Thursday’s plan, is treating so-called “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines like machine guns under federal law. Basically, gun owners with offending hardware will have two options: “Sell the weapons to the government, or register them under the National Firearms Act.”

What constitutes an “assault weapon,” according to Biden’s plan? Well, the candidate wants to bring back the 1994 ban with modifications: “This time, the bans will be designed based on lessons learned from the 1994 bans. For example, the ban on assault weapons will be designed to prevent manufacturers from circumventing the law by making minor changes that don’t limit the weapon’s lethality.”

Of course, one of the key criticisms of the 1994 ban was that it focused primarily on cosmetic features that didn’t affect how guns functioned in the first place, so it remains to be seen what lessons will be learned in new legislation.

Meanwhile, with his “down the line” admission on Wednesday, Biden has given more credence to the slippery slope concerns that Second Amendment proponents raise whenever the subject of new gun control comes up, just as fellow candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., did at a recent Democratic debate.

While running in a presidential field packed with further-left candidates, Biden has tried to brand himself so far as the party’s more moderate choice (despite his platform being well to the left of Hillary Clinton’s in 2016); the question here is whether or not moderates and independents will get on board with a gun control plan like this.

However, given the current state of the 2020 Democratic field on gun control — and the fact that things like confiscation and federal licensing are becoming progressive litmus tests — maybe this is what subjectively passes for moderate gun control now. Illegal Aliens Are Coming From All Over the World

If we admit 1.1 million legal immigrants from all corners of the world, should we then have to be on the hook for illegal immigration from all corners of the world? Evidently yes, according to open-borders politicians.

If you add up the population of every country with a lower GDP than that of Guatemala (about 88 of them), along with other countries that are experiencing a myriad of unpleasant living conditions, it would easily add up to a few billion people. Yet, unless we end our open-borders policies, those are exactly the people who will begin coming, even after Trump successfully worked out diplomatic agreements with the northern triangle countries to stem the flow of the main migration.

The cardinal mistake of our border policies of the past is that we have always played catch-up by being reactive to the previous crisis instead of anticipating the one around the corner. Thus, once we finally got a handle on illegal immigration from Mexico, the northern triangle migration was already upon us. Now that it appears the Central American migration might finally be in check, rather than diverting attention away from the border, the Trump administration must look around the corner to the next shoes to drop, from all over the globe. He must not repeat the same mistake of early 2017, thinking that the tough perception would deter everyone until all the policies are actually implemented.

According to final fiscal year 2019 data given to CR by a border agent who must remain anonymous because he is not authorized to speak to the media, the numbers have shot up from other countries around the globe, even as the numbers from Central American decline. Here is a breakdown of some of the biggest increases:

China – 98%
FY18: 1,077
FY19: 2,133

Brazil-1002%
FY18: 1,634
FY19: 18,012

Cuba-5982%
FY18: 194
FY19: 11,799

Ecuador – 718%
FY18: 1,613
FY19: 13,196

Nicaragua – 301%
FY18: 3,337
FY19: 13,373

These numbers should become public in the coming days when Customs and Border Protection (CBP) releases final tallies for FY 2019.

The numbers from China are particularly concerning. As I reported last week, China is our number one espionage threat and has already used immigration to spy on us. Chinese migrants are increasingly coming to our border in larger numbers almost every week, even as the overall border numbers drop. In fact, just in the first two days of October, there were 31 Chinese migrants caught, compared to 10 last year. That is a pace of over 5,650 per year, which means that the trajectory is getting worse.

Last week, I reported from agents in the field that the Chinese come under the most suspicious circumstances and are not even interviewed by the FBI. They are mainly males and always run from agents, but if they are caught, they manipulate our anti-communist sympathies to game out asylum.

Roll Call has a report out today on the longer-term increases we’ve seen from 50 different countries, most of which are non-Spanish-speaking, “including India, China, Bangladesh, Egypt, Romania and Turkey.” For example, in FY 2013, there were just 38 Bangladeshis caught at the border. This year, that number was 1,240. And while the number from India did not increase this past year, in general, it has increased 11,738 percent since 2007.

Looking ahead, it’s clear that if the president doesn’t issue a wholesale asylum reform executively or through Congress, leveraged by a temporary suspension of all asylum claims within our borders using INA 212(f), the numbers will go back up again within the next year. Those countries will pose an even more significant security risk and cause vetting problems through language barriers.

As I reported earlier, rather than representing the American citizen’s point of view and shutting off mass migration, Sen. James Lankford, Okla., and eight other red-state Republicans are demanding that Trump admit more refugees. At some point, the question needs to be asked: why should the American people be on the hook for global migration and all of its cascading fiscal and security concerns, especially when we admit so many legal immigrants every year?

Putting aside illegal immigration, when Harvard/Harris polled voters on how many legal immigrants they think reside in the country, more than 80 percent guessed that we have fewer than 10 million immigrants residing here, while 45 percent thought that we have some varying level below one million residing in the U.S. In reality, there are over 44 million immigrants residing in the country, not including the illegal immigrants, and that number is on pace to rise rapidly.

Immigration, like anything else, should be safe, be regulated in appropriate numbers, factor in the geopolitical and security concerns of the host governments, and only be done legally. The notion that foreign nationals can determine our destiny, with the American people having no say in it, is a view held only by the bipartisan oligarchy. Unless the message is sent soon that America is not a dumping ground, expect to be talking about migration from one of these other countries in the coming years the same way we did about Guatemala this past year. Modern Science: Quadriplegic Uses Robotic Skeleton to Walk

A French optician paralyzed from the neck down showed the world that modern science is full of miracles, as he was equipped with a robotic skeleton controlled by his mind that enabled him to walk.

The patient, referred to as Thibault, fell 50 feet from a nightclub roof in 2015, leaving him a quadriplegic. But although his muscles still suffer from paralysis, he practiced using video simulations, ultimately getting the exoskeleton to walk 475 feet total over 39 sessions as it was attached to a suspended harness on the ceiling. . .

The Daily Mail reported, “The exoskeleton, which is attached to the ceiling for support, is designed to collect these messages and move how the patient wishes to. Two sensors containing 64 electrodes each are placed underneath the skull, over areas of the brain that control movement in the limbs. These sensors collect brain signals from Thibault, software decodes what they mean and then the exoskeleton with 14 joints receives directions. The placing of the sensors depends on which parts of the spinal cord are damaged and what movements a patient isn’t able to do.”

Thibault said: “It’s not an exoskeleton for going to the bar with my friends but I’ve achieved something that’s a first. I didn’t move for two years and I had forgotten what it was like to stand. I forgot I was taller than a lot of people in the room and it was very impressive.” He added that walking felt like being the “first man on the Moon.”

Eureka Alert added, “Over the 24 months of the trial, the system did not need to be recalibrated for up to seven weeks, demonstrating that it may be suitable for day-to-day use over a long period. The quality of the recordings from the implants remained stable, the algorithm continued to decode the signals, and the patient experienced no post-surgical complications.” (Read. more from “Modern Science: Quadriplegic Uses Robotic Skeleton to Walk” HERE)

Doctors Reveal Bernie Sanders Had a Heart Attack

The campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) revealed on Friday, as the 78-year-old was discharged from a Las Vegas hospital, that he had suffered a heart attack earlier in the week.

Sanders canceled all campaign events on Tuesday after experiencing chest pains and being rushed to the hospital. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the senator underwent surgery “to treat a blocked artery, having two stents inserted to prop open the artery,” Reuters reported. . .

Sanders’ treating physicians, Arturo Marchand Jr. and Arjun Gururaj, said in a statement:

After presenting to an outside facility with chest pain, Sen. Sanders was diagnosed with a myocardial infarction. He was immediately transferred to Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center. The Senator was stable upon arrival and taken immediately to the cardiac catheterization laboratory, at which time two stents were placed in a blocked coronary artery in a timely fashion. All other arteries were normal. His hospital course was uneventful with good expected progress. He was discharged with instructions to follow up with his personal physician.

WATCH: Biden Explodes on Reporter – Here’s the Question That Made Him Go Off

Former Vice President Joe Biden snapped at a reporter on Friday during the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Unions for All Summit in Los Angeles. The reporter asked Biden about his son, Hunter, sitting on the board of a Ukrainian gas company and being paid $50,000 a month despite having zero experience in natural energy. At the time, Joe Biden was handling affairs with the Ukrainian government. The reporter wanted to know how those facts didn’t create a conflict of interest.

“How was your role as vice president in charge of policy in Ukraine and your son’s job in Ukraine, how is that not a conflict of interest?” the reporter asked. . .

“It’s not a conflict of interest. There’s been no indication of any conflict of interest from Ukraine or anywhere else. Period. I’m not going to respond to that!” Biden replied. . .

“Let’s focus on the problem. Focus on this man, that no president has ever done. No president,” Biden said.

This conflict of interest is the very definition of swampy behavior that Americans are tired of seeing. Biden has done absolutely nothing to shed light or even try to defend his actions – probably because he knew they were wrong. Instead, he’s deflected onto Trump. Apparently we should be angry at Trump for bringing up the Bidens’ corrupt behavior, not at the actually corrupt behavior itself.
