Chinese Technology: Government Unveils 500 Megapixel Camera That Can Capture Every Face in a Crowd

Scientists in China have unveiled a new facial recognition “super camera” that is raising serious concerns about civil liberties.

The 500-megapixel device was debuted last week at the International Industry Fair. It is reportedly four times more detailed than the human eye and capable of capturing every face in crowds of up to tens of thousands.

The system was created at Fudan University with help from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

It is suspected that this new camera system will be utilized in China’s social credit system which grants citizens points based on the way they live their lives, with criteria that include donating to charity and following the law. WATCH: Susan Rice Blasts Trump for Keeping Transcript on Top-Secret Server — Then Admits Obama Did the Same

Former national security adviser Susan Rice slammed President Donald Trump for storing the notes from his phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on a top-secret server — then admitted the Obama administration stored communications on the same server.

Speaking at the Texas Tribune Festival, Rice tore into the Trump administration for “unprecedented” actions, claiming officials have attempted to “bury” information.

“What [the Trump administration] did instead of storing it in the normal system, which is protected and classified, even though there was no classified substance in that actual discussion,” Rice said. “Instead of putting it where it normally resides, they hid it on a very highly sensitive, highly compartmented server that very few people in the U.S. government have access to in order to bury it.”

Then Rice was asked by the moderator how often the Obama administration did what she is criticizing the Trump administration for doing.

“We never moved them over unless they were legitimately, in the contents, classified,” she admitted

NYT Columnist: Either Trump Goes to Jail or ‘Thousands of Journalists’ Will End up in Prison Camps

Economist and New York Times op-ed columnist Paul Krugman suggested Friday evening that either “thousands of journalists” will be imprisoned because of the administration or President Donald Trump will end up in jail.

A formal impeachment inquiry was launched Tuesday after news that Trump had asked Ukrainian officials to look into Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter regarding business dealings in the country. The transcript of this phone call was held in a special computer system for sensitive calls, according to the NYT.

The White House restricted access to other phone calls between Trump and foreign leaders, CNN reported Friday evening. Following this news, Krugman tweeted that there seemed to be “two possible outcomes.” . . .

Krugman did not follow up his tweet with reasons as to how “thousands of journalists” would become imprisoned if Trump doesn’t spend time behind bars. (Read more from “NYT Columnist: Either Trump Goes to Jail or ‘Thousands of Journalists’ Will End up in Prison Camps” HERE)

Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock’s Girlfriend Lives in Lavish LA Home

Nearly two years after Stephen Paddock committed the worst mass shooting in modern American history in Las Vegas, and then killed himself, his girlfriend Marilou Danley reportedly lives in a lavish Los Angeles home. As the Daily Mail has reported via Australia’s The Courier Mail, Danley recently told a journalist twice that she’s “in peace right now” in her life. Then she quietly got into an SUV driven by her daughter and headed back to her home, which is worth $3.4 million in Australia money, or about $2.29 million in U.S. dollars.

According to the publications, the luxury house is in an exclusive Los Angeles neighborhood and is owned by her daughter and son-in-law. Dual-Australian citizen Danley dated Paddock, 64, for four years before he opened fire on more than 20,000 country music fans from his hotel suite in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017. The horrifying crime ended with 58 people dead and 851 injured. Paddock killed himself in his hotel room by shooting himself. Surviving victims and families of the deceased will mark the sad anniversary this Tuesday. Many questions still remain about the shooting and haters don’t accept the official conclusions.

Danley, who had moved from Australia to Nevada after the death of her first husband, was visiting family in the Philippines when Paddock attacked the country music festival from the Mandalay Bay. He had allegedly purchased a plane ticket and given her $150,000 as a gift in the weeks prior to the shooting. Former Reno casino worker Danley returned to the U.S. after the shooting and cooperated fully with investigators. She told them that Paddock had complained that he was sick and that doctors told him he had a “chemical imbalance” and could not cure him.

Danley claimed their relationship was on its last legs at the time of his heinous crime. She said he’d lost interest in sex and was “unable to perform.” However, he’d reportedly slept with prostitutes, as a source told RadarOnline.com. The insider said he made Danley “jittery” and was very “condescending” to her before the massacre.

The new report said Danley now regularly attends Sunday service at a local Catholic church and gets coffee at an L.A. Starbucks cafe. Danley previously went to the Starbucks inside the Virgin River Casino in Mesquite with her beau, where a store worker reportedly said, “He would glare down at her and say, ‘I’m paying for your drink, just like I’m paying for you.’” (Read more from “Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock’s Girlfriend Lives in Lavish LA Home” HERE)

Body of Woman Found in Portable Toilet That Caught on Fire

A body of a woman was discovered inside a portable toilet that caught fire and exploded early Saturday at a construction site in north Florida, according to officials.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that authorities responded to the home on North Horseshoe Road in St. Augustine on a report of a porta-potty fire, and discovered human remains inside.

“Regarding today’s discovery of human remains contained within a portable toilet, detectives believe the decedent is a white female,” the sheriff’s office said. “At this time, we have not received any missing persons reports that may coincide with this incident.”

Neighbors told WFOX they heard a loud explosion around 7 a.m., then saw the portable toilet on fire in front of a home under construction in the neighborhood. . .

St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chuck Mulligan told the Florida Times-Union the victim was too badly burned for immediate identification, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday at the Medical Examiner’s Office. WATCH: Democrat Megadonor Michael Bloomberg Repeatedly Defends China’s Communist Party

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a billionaire and Democrat megadonor, was called out during an interview that aired on Friday on PBS’s “Firing Line” for repeatedly praising the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Bloomberg’s remarks came in response to a question from Margaret Hoover about climate change and how the United States can get India and China to be more responsible in reducing carbon emissions.

“China is doing a lot, India is doing some, but I think China is doing a lot,” Bloomberg responded. “Yes, they’re still building a lot of coal-fired power plants … but they’re now moving plants away from the cities.”

“The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China and they listen to the public,” Bloomberg continued. “When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping is not a dictator, he has to satisfy his constituents or he’s not going to survive.” . . .

Hoover, however, did not let Bloomberg off the hook about his comments on the CPC being responsive to the people of China, saying, “the idea that the Chinese government is responsive to sort of a Democratic expression of fresh air, clean air … ”

Nancy Pelosi Has Fast-Tracked Impeachment. Here Is What That Means.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced late last week that she plans on “fast-tracking” an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, stemming from allegations that Trump demanded information about Joe Biden’s son from Ukrainian authorities.

USA Today reports that although Congress can’t officially “fast-track” an impeachment inquiry, House leaders can move as quickly as possible to get the inquiry on the calendar, and that’s precisely what Pelosi and her team intend to do.

So far, Democrats have had difficulty transitioning the evidence they’ve been provided into an open-and-shut case, but that’s not stopping a select House panel from scheduling depositions, even though Congress leaves this week for a two-week vacation ahead of the final session of the year. USA Today suggests that some in the Democratic leadership want articles of impeachment on the table by Thanksgiving so that the ensuing hearings have the greatest impact possible on the 2020 presidential election cycle (even if it looks like Democrats on the trail won’t benefit).

The impeachment inquiry is, at least, taking priority over the dozens of other investigation currently being pursued by various House committees. Any research being done into Donald Trump’s potential violations of the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, questions about his campaign’s ties to Russian officials, or probes into whether the White House obstructed justice during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation (or any other of a handful of Democratic deep dives) will now take a backseat to the Ukrainian issue, since that’s the issue du jour.

“The plan for now, according to lawmakers, is to prioritize the Ukraine investigation, which is being led by the House Intelligence Committee, while other panels wrap up their probes and send their best cases to the House Judiciary Committee,” USA Today reports. State Department Ramps up Investigation Into Hillary’s Emails

The State Department has reportedly ramped up its investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server, an issue that took center stage during the 2016 presidential election.

According to the Washington Post, the State Department has called in 130 officials who had access to Clinton’s email inbox. The officials ranged from low-level employees to senior officials who reported directly to Clinton. Former aides were sent letters letting them know that their emails were retroactively deemed “classified” and sharing that information could be deemed a security violation.

The investigation began 18 months ago, fizzled out and then was picked back up in August. Senior officials at the Department say they have followed standard protocol. Because the investigation began in the later days of the Obama administration, it is just now coming to an end. . .

“This has nothing to do with who is in the White House,” an anonymous senior State Department official told the Post. “This is about the time it took to go through millions of emails, which is about 3½ years.”

“The process is set up in a manner to completely avoid any appearance of political bias,” a second official told the Post. (Read more from “State Department Ramps up Investigation Into Hillary’s Emails” HERE)

Three Jewish Supreme Court Justices and Their Liberal Impact on American Law

Like most of the US Jewish community, all three of the US Supreme Court’s Jewish justices are on the liberal side. But agree or disagree with their decisions, they each have their own unique character and image that have put a powerful stamp on US Jewry and Israel. . .

In 2018, [Ruth Bader Ginsberg] came to Israel to receive the inaugural Genesis Lifetime Achievement Award, initiating a year of The Genesis Prize Foundation’s (GPF) philanthropy dedicated to women’s empowerment. An outspoken advocate for gender equality, she was selected to receive the award “for her groundbreaking legal work in the fields of civil liberties and women’s rights,” and her vision to “open doors to women” inspired GPF to make grants to organizations in Israel and North America promoting socio-economic opportunities for women. . .

[Justice] Breyer has talked about his Jewish identity publicly many times over the years, usually emphasizing a commitment to social Jewish values, and appears to identify as being more traditional than some other Jewish justices. . .

In her near decade on the US Supreme Court, Justice Elena Kagan has become more of a leading force for the court’s liberal wing. . .[She once quoted] Moses Seixas of Newport, Rhode Island, who thanked Washington in 1790 with “a deep sense of gratitude” for the new government [and stated] that the US has “a government, which to bigotry gives no sanction, to persecution no assistance – but generously affording to all liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship: deeming every one, of whatever nation, tongue, or language, equal parts of the great governmental machine.”

[This] quote explained the significance of the government not showing preference to a specific religion in a 5-4 dissent against a decision by the court regarding separation between “church and state,” which allowed a primarily Christian town to hold prayers at the start of its meetings. Former PM: Ukraine Must Investigate Joe Biden’s Son; Unearthed Documents Reveal Details That Contradict What Biden Said About His Dealings in Ukraine

By Townhall. Ukraine must investigate the activities of Joe Biden’s son to establish whether his role in a Ukrainian gas company complied with the country’s laws, Mykola Azarov, Ukraine’s former prime minister, said in an interview.

Hunter Biden’s role in the company, Burisma Holdings Limited, is in focus after the White House published a memo showing U.S. President Donald Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskiy in a July phone call to get prosecutors to look into his activities. Zelenskiy agreed.

Joe Biden, former U.S. vice president and a contender in next year’s U.S. presidential race, has denied using his influence to get Ukraine’s prosecutor general fired to prevent him investigating his son’s involvement and has said that he and his son have done nothing wrong.

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau said on Friday it was investigating activity at Burisma between 2010-2012, but that it was not looking into changes to its board in 2014 when Hunter Biden joined.

Hunter Biden was a director on Burisma’s board from 2014 until at least 2018, according to documents filed by the company in Cyprus where it is registered. (Read more from “Former PM: Ukraine Must Investigate Joe Biden’s Son” HERE)

Unearthed Documents Reveal Details That Contradict What Biden Said About His Dealings in Ukraine

By The Blaze. John Solomon, an executive president at The Hill, called into question the version of events that former Vice President Joe Biden has been repeating regarding his interactions with Ukraine while he was vice president. . .

While Biden has admitted that he urged then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, but that it had nothing to do with his son or Burisma Holdings.

In response to questions about whether his foreign policy benefited his son, Biden insisted that he had “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” and said that reporters “should be looking at Trump” instead. . .

Through interviews and reviewing documents, Solomon said, he found proof that lawyers for Burisma had approached the Ukrainian government shortly after Shokin’s firing to apologize “for dissemination of false information by U.S. representatives and public figures.”

Solomon also pointed to a 2015 New York Times story, which noted that Burisma hired Hunter Biden less than a month after former-President Barack Obama appointed Joe Biden to be in charge of the United States’ relationship with Ukraine.
