Watch: Immigrant Ninth Circuit Nominee Explains the Lesson His Dad Taught Him About America Through the Pain of Racism

At a hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, Ninth Circuit nominee Kenneth Lee told a powerful story of his experience with racism as a child and the uplifting lesson his dad gave him about America.

Lee’s family immigrated from South Korea during his childhood. Some time after their move to the U.S., Kenneth’s parents took him and his three sisters to Disneyland, he said.

To save money on the trip, the family packed a meal of traditional Korean food, which Lee noted was “very exotic” in the U.S. 35 years ago. He said he was mocked at the park by other children for what he was eating and what his family looked like.

“Little kids started coming up. Some said it smelled. Other said it looked like feces; they used a slightly different word,” Lee said. “One of them, I remember, was pointing to my parents, making kind of faux Asian-sounding names and pulling their eyes.”

“When you’re a kid, the smallest things seem like the world to you,” the nominee recalled. The next day, he told the committee, maybe because he “felt helpless, I blamed my dad for this whole thing, and I said ‘I want to go back. I want to go back to Korea. You never asked us if we wanted to come here, move to a new country.’”

“My dad was a stoic man, but he said, ‘I know it’s tough for you; it’s tough on your sisters; it’s tough on me, your mom,’” Lee said. “‘I know it’s tough here, but you don’t want to go back,’ he said, ‘because things aren’t fair there.’”

Lee said his father told him that in South Korea, family-owned conglomerates (known as Chaebol) wield oligarchic power and influence. “‘They control the government, they control the economy, they control the laws, so you’re not gonna get a fair shot there.’”

“But, he said, here in America, things are different,” Lee recalled. “It doesn’t matter that you’re not white. It doesn’t matter you weren’t born here. It doesn’t matter that our family doesn’t have wealth or power. He said everyone here is treated equally.”

“My dad wasn’t a lawyer; he never read the Federalist Papers,” Lee concluded. “But he had a gut understanding of what makes our country and our Constitution so great, so powerful, and so unique in the world. And I’ve always remembered that.”

This answer flies in the face of concerns from committee Democrats and liberal outside groups over Lee’s views on race because of things he wrote about affirmative action as a teenager.

The answer was prompted by a question from Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah. The relevant portion of the answer is below, and video of the full committee hearing is here. Watch:

The FBI Was Close to Charging Hillary Clinton in 2016 — Here’s Who Shut It Down

By The Blaze. Newly released transcripts from a controversial former FBI lawyer’s testimony before Congress show that the FBI was considering charging Hillary Clinton in 2016 when the Department of Justice shut down the possibility.

Lisa Page was identified as the other side of a text message conversation with FBI agent Peter Strzok that derided then-candidate Donald Trump ahead of the election.

Her private testimony before a joint task force of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees shed light on the controversial decision by former FBI Director James Comey to publicly criticize Clinton but not charge her with any crime.

Some cite the decision as part of the reason Clinton was defeated in the 2016 presidential race. Others see the reticence of the FBI to charge Clinton as evidence of a “deep state” bias towards the Democratic party and against President Donald Trump.

Page responded in her testimony to Republican concerns that the FBI did not seriously consider pressing charges against Clinton out of a bias against Trump, according to the Washington Examiner. (Read more from “The FBI Was Close to Charging Hillary Clinton in 2016 — Here’s Who Shut It Down” HERE)

Lisa Page said senior FBI officials wanted to take Hillary Clinton down

By Washington Examiner. Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page testified last year that top officials in the bureau expressed bias against Hillary Clinton while she was being investigated for her emails.

The claim, part of newly released transcripts from private testimony in front of a joint task force of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees in July 2018, contrasts with the prevailing concern among some conservatives that there has been an anti-Trump tilt in the upper levels of the Justice Department and FBI.

“I am aware of senior FBI officials talking to subordinate FBI officials on the Hillary Clinton investigative team who unquestionably had anti-Hillary sentiment, but who also said: You have to get her or — again, I don’t have an exact quote — but like we’re counting on you, you know,” Page said.

Page was being grilled by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, who asked how these subordinate officials would respond.

“My guess is they just probably parried and said: Just follow the facts, ma’am/sir. It’s a challenging place to be put in, I would say,” she replied.” (Read more from “Lisa Page said senior FBI officials wanted to take Hillary Clinton down” HERE)

Are We Entering the Age of the Biochip?

Biochips are usually encased in medical glass, have a tiny antenna and an integrated circuit that transmits data when scanned by an electronic reader.

They might be little more than a gadget at this point, but they’re showing signs of catching on. The tiny chips already can replace keys, credit cards and train tickets and buy snacks. The tipping point from novelty to necessity seems inevitable. But what about security? What about privacy?

In 2004, the FDA approved a chip that would store medical records and be implanted in the upper arm. The idea was that it would save time in an emergency. Doctors would be able to scan the chip and quickly learn the patient’s blood type, allergies and health history. A market for the chip didn’t materialize. It failed. A key reason: Doctors said patients were concerned about privacy. . .

Five states — California, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Wisconsin — already have passed laws prohibiting “mandatory implantation” of biochips. And what about hacking? As more and more people get biochipped and credit card numbers are stored, won’t criminals soon follow? It’s happened with credit cards, and they are passive. . .

Whether or not it’s the end times, a more immediate question might be: Will biochips mark the end of our personal privacy, or will they finally be embraced by a once-skeptical public? (Read more from “Are We Entering the Age of the Biochip?” HERE)

I Was America’s First ‘Nonbinary’ Person. It Was All a Sham.

Four years ago, I wrote about my decision to live as a woman in The New York Times, writing that I had wanted to live “authentically as the woman that I have always been,” and had “effectively traded my white male privilege to become one of America’s most hated minorities.”

Three years ago, I decided that I was neither male nor female, but nonbinary—and made headlines after an Oregon judge agreed to let me identify as a third sex, not male or female.

Now, I want to live again as the man that I am.

I’m one of the lucky ones. Despite participating in medical transgenderism for six years, my body is still intact. Most people who desist from transgender identities after gender changes can’t say the same.

But that’s not to say I got off scot-free. My psyche is eternally scarred, and I’ve got a host of health issues from the grand medical experiment.

Here’s how things began.

After convincing myself that I was a woman during a severe mental health crisis, I visited a licensed nurse practitioner in early 2013 and asked for a hormone prescription. “If you don’t give me the drugs, I’ll buy them off the internet,” I threatened.

Although she’d never met me before, the nurse phoned in a prescription for 2 mg of oral estrogen and 200 mg of Spironolactone that very same day.

The nurse practitioner ignored that I have chronic post-traumatic stress disorder, having previously served in the military for almost 18 years. All of my doctors agree on that. Others believe that I have bipolar disorder and possibly borderline personality disorder.

I should have been stopped, but out-of-control, transgender activism had made the nurse practitioner too scared to say no.

I’d learned how to become a female from online medical documents at a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital website.

After I began consuming the cross-sex hormones, I started therapy at a gender clinic in Pittsburgh so that I could get people to sign off on the transgender surgeries I planned to have.

All I needed to do was switch over my hormone operating fuel and get my penis turned into a vagina. Then I’d be the same as any other woman. That’s the fantasy the transgender community sold me. It’s the lie I bought into and believed.

Only one therapist tried to stop me from crawling into this smoking rabbit hole. When she did, I not only fired her, I filed a formal complaint against her. “She’s a gatekeeper,” the trans community said.

Professional stigmatisms against “conversion therapy” had made it impossible for the therapist to question my motives for wanting to change my sex.

The “Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders” (Fifth Edition) says one of the traits of gender dysphoria is believing that you possess the stereotypical feelings of the opposite sex. I felt that about myself, but yet no therapist discussed it with me.

Two weeks hadn’t passed before I found a replacement therapist. The new one quickly affirmed my identity as a woman. I was back on the road to getting vaginoplasty.

There’s abundant online literature informing transgender people that their sex change isn’t real. But when a licensed medical doctor writes you a letter essentially stating that you were born in the wrong body and a government agency or court of law validates that delusion, you become damaged and confused. I certainly did.

Painful Roots

My trauma history resembles a ride down the Highway of Death during the first Gulf War.

As a child, I was sexually abused by a male relative. My parents severely beat me. At this point, I’ve been exposed to so much violence and had so many close calls that I don’t know how to explain why I’m still alive. Nor do I know how to mentally process some of the things I’ve seen and experienced.

Dr. Ray Blanchard has an unpopular theory that explains why someone like me may have been drawn to transgenderism. He claims there are two types of transgender women: homosexuals that are attracted to men, and men who are attracted to the thought or image of themselves as females.

It’s a tough thing to admit, but I belong to the latter group. We are classified as having autogynephilia.

After having watched pornography for years while in the Army and being married to a woman who resisted my demands to become the ideal female, I became that female instead. At least in my head.

While autogynephilia was my motivation to become a woman, gender stereotypes were my means of implementation. I believed wearing a long wig, dresses, heels, and makeup would make me a woman.

Feminists begged to differ on that. They rejected me for conforming to female stereotypes. But as a new member of the transgender community, I beat up on them too. The women who become men don’t fight the transgender community’s wars. The men in dresses do.

Medical Malpractice

The best thing that could have happened would have been for someone to order intensive therapy. That would have protected me from my inclination to cross-dress and my risky sexual transgressions, of which there were many.

Instead, quacks in the medical community hid me in the women’s bathroom with people’s wives and daughters. “Your gender identity is female,” these alleged professionals said.

The medical community is so afraid of the trans community that they’re now afraid to give someone Blanchard’s diagnosis. Trans men are winning in medicine, and they’ve won the battle for language.

Think of the word “transvestite.” They’ve succeeded in making it a vulgar word, even though it just means men dressing like women. People are no longer allowed to tell the truth about men like me. Everyone now has to call us transgender instead.

The diagnostic code in my records at the VA should read Transvestic Disorder (302.3). Instead, the novel theories of Judith Butler and Anne Fausto-Sterling have been used to cover up the truths written about by Blanchard, J. Michael Bailey, and Alice Dreger.

I confess to having been motivated by autogynephilia during all of this. Blanchard was right.

Trauma, hypersexuality owing to childhood sexual abuse, and autogynephilia are all supposed to be red flags for those involved in the medical arts of psychology, psychiatry, and physical medicine—yet nobody except for the one therapist in Pittsburgh ever tried to stop me from changing my sex. They just kept helping me to harm myself.

Escaping to ‘Nonbinary’

Three years into my gender change from male to female, I looked hard into the mirror one day. When I did, the facade of femininity and womanhood crumbled.

Despite having taken or been injected with every hormone and antiandrogen concoction in the VA’s medical arsenal, I didn’t look anything like a female. People on the street agreed. Their harsh stares reflected the reality behind my fraudulent existence as a woman. Biological sex is immutable.

It took three years for that reality to set in with me.

When the fantasy of being a woman came to an end, I asked two of my doctors to allow me to become nonbinary instead of female to bail me out. Both readily agreed.

After pumping me full of hormones—the equivalent of 20 birth control pills per day—they each wrote a sex change letter. The two weren’t just bailing me out. They were getting themselves off the hook for my failed sex change. One worked at the VA. The other worked at Oregon Health & Science University.

To escape the delusion of having become a woman, I did something completely unprecedented in American history. In 2016, I convinced an Oregon judge to declare my sex to be nonbinary—neither male nor female.

In my psychotic mind, I had restored the mythical third sex to North America. And I became the first legally recognized nonbinary person in the country.

Celebrity Status

The landmark court decision catapulted me to instant fame within the LGBT community. For 10 nonstop days afterward, the media didn’t let me sleep. Reporters hung out in my Facebook feed, journalists clung to my every word, and a Portland television station beamed my wife and I into living rooms in the United Kingdom.

Becoming a woman had gotten me into The New York Times. Convincing a judge that my sex was nonbinary got my photos and story into publications around the world.

Then, before the judge’s ink had even dried on my Oregon sex change court order, a Washington, D.C.-based LGBT legal aid organization contacted me. “We want to help you change your birth certificate,” they offered.

Within months, I scored another historic win after the Department of Vital Records issued me a brand new birth certificate from Washington, D.C., where I was born. A local group called Whitman-Walker Health had gotten my sex designation on my birth certificate switched to “unknown.” It was the first time in D.C. history a birth certificate had been printed with a sex marker other than male or female.

Another transgender legal aid organization jumped on the Jamie Shupe bandwagon, too. Lambda Legal used my nonbinary court order to help convince a Colorado federal judge to order the State Department to issue a passport with an X marker (meaning nonbinary) to a separate plaintiff named Dana Zzyym.

LGBT organizations helping me to screw up my life had become a common theme. During my prior sex change to female, the New York-based Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund had gotten my name legally changed. I didn’t like being named after the uncle who’d molested me. Instead of getting me therapy for that, they got me a new name.

A Pennsylvania judge didn’t question the name change, either. Wanting to help a transgender person, she had not only changed my name, but at my request she also sealed the court order, allowing me to skip out on a ton of debt I owed because of a failed home purchase and begin my new life as a woman. Instead of merging my file, two of the three credit bureaus issued me a brand new line of credit.

Walking Away From Fiction

It wasn’t until I came out against the sterilization and mutilation of gender-confused children and transgender military service members in 2017 that LGBT organizations stopped helping me. Most of the media retreated with them.

Overnight, I went from being a liberal media darling to a conservative pariah.

Both groups quickly began to realize that the transgender community had a runaway on their hands. Their solution was to completely ignore me and what my story had become. They also stopped acknowledging that I was behind the nonbinary option that now exists in 11 states.

The truth is that my sex change to nonbinary was a medical and scientific fraud. Consider the fact that before the historic court hearing occurred, my lawyer informed me that the judge had a transgender child.

Sure enough, the morning of my brief court hearing, the judge didn’t ask me a single question. Nor did this officer of the court demand to see any medical evidence alleging that I was born something magical. Within minutes, the judge just signed off on the court order.

I do not have any disorders of sexual development. All of my sexual confusion was in my head. I should have been treated. Instead, at every step, doctors, judges, and advocacy groups indulged my fiction.

The carnage that came from my court victory is just as precedent-setting as the decision itself. The judge’s order led to millions of taxpayer dollars being spent to put an X marker on driver’s licenses in 11 states so far. You can now become male, female, or nonbinary in all of them.

In my opinion, the judge in my case should have recused herself. In doing so, she would have spared me the ordeal still yet to come. She also would have saved me from having to bear the weight of the big secret behind my win.

I now believe that she wasn’t just validating my transgender identity. She was advancing her child’s transgender identity, too.

A sensible magistrate would have politely told me no and refused to sign such an outlandish legal request. “Gender is just a concept. Biological sex defines all of us,” that person would have said.

In January 2019, unable to advance the fraud for another single day, I reclaimed my male birth sex. The weight of the lie on my conscience was heavier than the value of the fame I’d gained from participating in this elaborate swindle.

Two fake gender identities couldn’t hide the truth of my biological reality. There is no third gender or third sex. Like me, intersex people are either male or female. Their condition is the result of a disorder of sexual development, and they need help and compassion.

I played my part in pushing forward this grand illusion. I’m not the victim here. My wife, daughter, and the American taxpayers are—they are the real victims. (For more from the author of “I Was America’s First ‘Nonbinary’ Person. It Was All a Sham.” please click HERE)

Former Priest Accused of Sex Abuse of Minors Found Shot to Death

A former priest accused of molesting minors was found dead Saturday morning in what police say they are investigating as a homicide.

On Saturday, police conducted a welfare check on John Capparelli — a former priest and teacher in New Jersey who moved to Henderson, Nevada — and found him dead in the kitchen with a gunshot wound to the neck. . .

Capparelli, NBC reports, is one of over 180 clergy listed last month by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark as having been “credibly accused” of sexually abusing minors during his time as a priest. . .

The sex abuse claims against Capparelli date back to the 1970s through the early 1990s. “Though he was never convicted of a crime, multiple accusers said Capparelli made them wrestle in swimwear while he took photos,” NJ.com noted in its report on his death. “He was also linked to a fetish website that he allegedly ran from his home.”

After being laicized, Capparelli went on to be a public school teacher in Newark for about two decades, NJ.com reports. He had his teaching certificates revoked after reports about the allegations surfaced. Capparelli made headlines in May 2014 after his presence at an event in Wayne, New Jersey resulted in the suspension of the pastor who allegedly invited him as a personal guest. Now Bernie’s Illegal Alien Aide Is Attacking Jews

An illegal alien working for socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) was forced to apologize on Tuesday for promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories on her Facebook account accusing American Jews of having dual loyalties.

Belen Sisa, Sanders’ national deputy press secretary, reportedly questioned if the “American Jewish community has a dual allegiance to the state of Israel,” Politico reported.

Sisa deleted the post after Politico questioned her about it; she gave the publication the following statement:

In a conversation on Facebook, I used some language that I see now was insensitive. Issues of allegiance and loyalty to one’s country come with painful history. At a time when so many communities in our country feel under attack by the president and his allies, I absolutely recognize that we need to address these issues with greater care and sensitivity to their historical resonance, and I’m committed to doing that in the future.

. . .

Sisa responded: “This is a serious question: do you not think that the American government and American Jewish community has a dual allegiance to the state of Israel? I’m asking not to rule out the history of this issue, but in the context in which this was said by Ilhan.” (Read more from “Now Bernie’s Illegal Alien Aide Is Attacking Jews” HERE)

It’s Twitter Official: Avenatti Dumps Stormy Daniels

On Tuesday, celebrity lawyer and #Resistance hero Michael Avenatti announced his departure from representing porn star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. . .

“On February 19, we informed Stormy Daniels in writing that we were terminating our legal representation of her for various reasons that we cannot disclose publicly,” said Avenatti in a statement. “This was not a decision that we made lightly and it came only after lengthy discussion, thought and deliberation, as well as consultation with other professionals.”

Daniels, who claims she had unprotected vaginal sex with Donald Trump shortly after Melania Trump gave birth to their son Barron, did not address Avenatti by name but did make an announcement regarding her new representation about an hour before Avenatti’s statement was released.

“I have retained Clark Brewster as my personal lawyer and have asked him and his firm to review all legal matters involving me. Upon completion of Mr. Brewster’s review and further consultation with me, I anticipate Mr. Brewster will serve as my primary counsel on all legal issues,” wrote Daniels.

Border Patrol Is Bringing in Illegal Aliens From Behind the Fences

Border walls work well to defend a defined border. They are worthless in defending against our amnesty policies of bringing in illegal immigrants from the other side of a wall.

The entire discussion over a border wall and a few billion in appropriations is moot if the judicial tyranny and lawfare driving our asylum policies continue. Border walls are very effective, but if we actively bring in even the illegal immigrants standing outside the fence and believe it is our duty to do so, then what would change if we had more walls?

In recent days, the border migration in the El Paso sector has shifted somewhat from New Mexico to the city of El Paso, Texas, itself. Almost 1,000 people, mainly from Guatemala, came in just on Wednesday of last week. In El Paso, we have the much-vaunted 18-foot fence that is the paradigm for what Trump would like to build elsewhere. The question is, how did these illegal aliens get into the country if they were behind the fence? They did not climb over, as has been done at the Yuma fence in recent months, and were not at an opening or port of entry. It appears that they just stand at the fence and, wait with the confidence that agents will come pick them up.

Reuters reports that those who came in last week in El Paso were not deterred by the fence because Border Patrol herds them to the gates and brings them in. Reuters snapped photos showing the migrants waiting at the south side of the border wall to be picked up. As the El Paso Times reported, “Some migrants reported waiting most of the day Wednesday for the Border Patrol to pick them up as they stood on U.S. soil along the Rio Grande levee on the south side of the tall metal border fence.”

When I reached out to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) by email and asked whether agents are now actively picking up illegal immigrants from the south side of the fence, and whether agents are getting legal guidance mandating such action, I was told, “They generally cross the river bed from Juarez and walk up to the south side of the border wall and wait for agents to pick them up.”

The political implication of this development in the eyes of the public and Trump’s base in particular cannot be overstated. In almost every area of our border, and certainly along the Rio Grande River, our border fences are recessed a significant distance into our interior. If this administration is going to continue to accede to the notion that it must bring in anyone who makes it onto our land, even when they are on the other side of the fence, this means that the border wall is moot. CBP could construct an impervious wall from Brownsville to San Diego a hundred feet high, but if our agents are still directed to pick up those on the other side, then what is the point?

Fences worked great back when apprehending illegal aliens meant deporting them expeditiously. Now, we have made it our policy to release almost anyone we catch from Central America. Thus, they walk right up to the wall and we go around and bring them in. Once in, they are released within days, sometimes within 24 hours.

Consequently, this is no longer about more assets, fencing, and border agents like it was in the past, when we were actually trying to deter and turn back illegal immigrants. With the current flow of Central Americans, and with our administration abiding by the most extreme lower court opinions, all the assets we throw at our border will actually be marshalled into facilitating the invasion rather than deterring it. Tragically, in some ways, it’s even worse to have agents in places where there is fencing, because agents are the immigrants’ ticket to entry when they would otherwise have no easy way in.

More fencing and more agents would always be worthwhile in deterring the criminal activity and the cartel member who cross with drugs and known criminals and who will never surrender themselves to agents at a border wall. However, it will do nothing to stop the general flow of illegal immigration until the administration changes its policies or Trump uses his inherent and delegated authority to shut off all cross-border migration.

At some point, conservatives must start asking what this administration’s end game is. Even Obama eventually got tough and started deporting more illegal aliens when they surged in 2014 just because of the sheer embarrassment to his administration. The Trump administration, on the other hand, seems to be following every last extreme lower court ruling over and beyond even what the courts are asking for. At some point, the Constitution is not a suicide pact, much less unconstitutional lower court rulings. If this administration is so weak that it will actively bring in anyone who comes here and then release them, it is a more severe amnesty than anything we fought against in previous years. We are far past the point of debating a border wall. This administration seriously needs to decide whether we have a border at all. Ocasio-Cortez Makes Ridiculous Accusation Against Wells Fargo CEO

Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan fired back at New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at a contentious hearing in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, after the freshman legislator accused the bank of “financing the caging of children” and suggested it should bear financial liability for everything from oil spills to climate change.

Ocasio-Cortez’s inquiries come as activists increasingly seek to “deplatform” political opponents by cutting off their funding from banks and other financial services providers — a concerted effort that conservatives and libertarians have said threatens free speech.

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Maxine Waters, D-Calif., brought Sloan before the panel Tuesday as part of a broad, four-hour inquiry into widely reported fraudulent misconduct in recent years by Wells Fargo employees. But in questioning Sloan, who faced bipartisan criticism during the hearing, Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, quickly went much further.

“Why was the bank involved in the caging of children and financing the caging of children to begin with?” Ocasio-Cortez asked at one point, in an apparent reference to the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance immigration policy, which resulted in increased separations of parents suspected of criminal activity from the minors who accompanied them.

The White House has pointed out that images widely circulated on social media showing migrant children in large, fenced-off detention rooms were taken during the Obama administration.

‘Birth Strike’ Founder Argues Future ‘Too Frightening’ for Her to Have Children Due to Climate Change

Climate change could trigger a “civilization breakdown,” a founder of the so-called “Birth Strike” movement warned on Tuesday night — saying she’s so afraid that she won’t have kids.

Blythe Pepino told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “I think where we are now is incredibly frightening. And, what I discovered when I made the decision and started talking about it to other young women around me was that we felt that we lost faith in the system and the authorities, because they weren’t really dealing with the situation. They weren’t managing the threat properly.” . . .

Pepino told Tucker Carlson her movement isn’t about stopping everybody from having children, but she and others are “too afraid” to do so.

“Yes, it is quite sad, but at the same time, Birth Strike itself is a hopeful act. What we’re trying to say is, ‘C’mon, we’ve got two options; either unite collectively behind action on this immediately because we’re already towards the collapse or we can resign ourselves to — I mean, it sounds crazy but it’s true — extinction,’” she added.
