Even Before Tariff Relief, Global Bond Investors Rallied Behind Trump’s Trade Push

For the past week, President Trump has been urging calm — and with good reason. Far from chaos, the financial reaction to his tariff announcement has revealed something far more profound: the world still wants to do business with America, and Trump is calling the shots.

“I know what the hell I’m doing,” the president told Republicans on Tuesday, shrugging off media doomsaying and elite panic. “BE COOL!” he posted on Truth Social the next morning. “Everything is going to work out well.”

At 9:37 a.m. Wednesday, Trump doubled down, posting: “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!”

He was right.

The market bounce came swiftly. Although President Trump’s announcement that some of the tariffs would be paused for 90 days got all the attention, the real fireworks began several minutes earlier, when the U.S. Treasury held its much-anticipated 10-year bond auction. Instead of panic or retreat, the auction showed overwhelming demand. Indirect buyers — including foreign central banks — lined up to purchase U.S. government debt.

In other words, far from turning against America, the world was signing up to support it. (Read more from “Even Before Tariff Relief, Global Bond Investors Rallied Behind Trump’s Trade Push” HERE)

Bessent Had the Perfect Response to China Raising Tariffs on U.S. Goods

China said it is raising tariffs on U.S. imports from 34 percent to 84 percent starting Thursday, an announcement that came hours after President Trump’s tariffs went into effect.

“If the U.S. insists on further escalating its economic and trade restrictions, China has the firm will and abundant means to take necessary countermeasures and fight to the end,” the Ministry of Commerce wrote in a document, reports USA Today.

The latest tariffs on the U.S.’s trading partners includes a 104 percent tax on Chinese goods. . .

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent called the escalation a “loser” for China.

“I think it’s unfortunate that the Chinese actually don’t want to come and negotiate because they are the worst offenders in the international trading system,” he said. “And I can tell you that this escalation is a loser for them.”

Kash Drops Trans School Shooter’s Manifesto—Now We Know Why They Buried It

There’s no shortage of unsolved mysteries when it comes to our seedy government and intel agencies. The Epstein files are the big one—still locked up tight, and who knows if we’ll ever get the truth, right? But beyond the obvious coverups, there have been plenty of smaller ones, the kind the fake news media and the Left quietly sweep under the rug hoping nobody notices. One of those is the mass shooting at a Christian school in Nashville, carried out by a violent, mentally ill trans shooter. Right after the attack, many called it a hate crime against Christians—but the media downplayed it, local officials brushed it off, and the White House even tried to spin the shooter as the real victim. . .

Now, thanks to our new FBI Director Kash Patel, we’re finally getting a look at what they tried so hard to bury. Kash just released over 1,000 pages of the trans school shooter’s writings to Megyn Kelly and Congress—and what’s inside is absolutely bone-chilling.

The manifesto, which was written by trans mass shooter Audrey Hale, confirms what we already figured: this was a radical, mentally unhinged leftist who openly hated white people, Christians, America, and her own body. The FBI and Nashville PD conveniently left this out of their report. Why would they do that? Because it didn’t fit their “trans are victims” narrative.

In the pages, Hale described herself as a “violent extremist” obsessed with hatred, destruction, and death. Her writings included lines like:

“Kill all the white kids. Kill my own race.”
“Female pronouns make me feel like I wanna die.”
“I have to kill so I can be remembered in the most horrific way possible.”

These aren’t just random ramblings. They reflect the growing radicalism within the trans movement—a movement that’s riddled with mental illness and embraces liberals who treat violence like virtue and mental instability as an identity.

‘The Evidence Is Overwhelming’: RFK Jr. Calls On CDC To Stop Recommending Fluoride

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stop recommending community water fluoridation during a Utah stop on his MAHA tour Monday.

“Fluoride should not be in our water,” Secretary Kennedy told a crowd in Utah after the state became the first to officially ban water fluoridation statewide.

Kennedy has long been a strong proponent of ending water fluoridation, promising voters during his 2024 presidential campaign that as president he would end the practice. Now, as the nation’s top health authority, he is taking steps to do just that.

Kennedy continued to outline the dangers of fluoride in his speech, claiming there is “zero systemic advantage” for consuming the chemical for dental health. He argued that topical application is fine but not consumption through public water systems.

Elon Musk ‘Starting to Think’ Chuck Schumer Is Getting Rich Through Government Fraud

Elon Musk, President Donald Trump’s leader of DOGE, is now going to war with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, openly speculating the New York Democrat could be the recipient of “a piece of the action” through government fraud.

It started Monday evening, as Schumer launched an online attack in which he alleged the president “has unleashed chaos” on the nation:

Trump has unleashed chaos on America

—His tariffs hit families with largest tax hike in more than 50 years
—DOGE is sabotaging Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid
—The market is having its worst 3 days since COVID

And Congressional Republicans are going along with it all so they can cut taxes for billionaires.

Early Tuesday, Musk responded by saying: “Chuck, I’m starting to think you’re getting a piece of the action with the government fraud. But no, that couldn’t possibly be the reason, could it? …”

Why Comparing Trump’s Tariffs To The Smoot-Hawley Act Is Dishonest

Trump’s tariffs are not designed to encourage Americans to borrow money and maximize their consumption. Nor are they designed to encourage participation in speculative stock market or real estate bubbles. America’s free trade policies encouraged such excesses after the end of the Cold War, and we can’t stand a repeat of the folly. While his critics wrongly invoke the Smoot-Hawley tariff failures of 1930, Trump’s emerging tariff policies, particularly if combined with the appropriate monetary policy, will have much better results and Make America Great Again.

As Trump’s tariffs are implemented, they will generate revenue for the federal government and encourage investment in atrophied as well as cutting-edge sectors of the American economy. In addition, they will increase the quantity and quality of jobs available for Americans as a whole, will persuade (and are already persuading) our trading partners to adopt fairer and less predatory trading regimes, will arrest a possible slide into recession, and will get our economy moving toward our long-term growth potential of 3 percent (or more) GDP growth per year.

President Trump says “tariff” is one of his favorite words, and historical evidence indicates tariffs work. They worked for the Chinese this century, they worked for the Japanese after World War II, and they worked for the U.S. and Germany in the late 19th century. Back then, American and German growth rates and economic vibrancy radically outstripped the growth rates and economic vibrancy of a free-trading Britain, which, after abandoning its early 19th-century tariffs, adopted the free trade nostrums of David Ricardo and slipped into decline.

One of the few instances when tariffs failed was during the Smoot-Hawley tariff episode at the beginning of the Great Depression. But there are special circumstances surrounding the imposition of the Smoot-Hawley tariffs that the free-traders hesitate to mention. When the United States raised the Smoot-Hawley tariffs, the U.S. was the world’s greatest creditor, and by raising the tariffs, we prevented others from selling us things so they could make money and pay us back. When they didn’t pay us back, it collapsed the global financial system and helped usher in the Great Depression.

Obviously, today the circumstances are reversed. The United States is now the world’s largest debtor. If we can’t pay back our debts, the global financial system will collapse, which would be disastrous for the entire world. Federal Judge Orders White House to Lift Ban on AP

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled it was unconstitutional for the White House to bar the Associated Press from Oval Office events.

U.S. District Judge Trevor McFadden said the move violated the First Amendment.

“The Government offers no other plausible explanation for its treatment of the AP. The Constitution forbids viewpoint discrimination, even in a nonpublic forum like the Oval Office,” wrote McFadden, a Trump appointee.

“Under the First Amendment, if the Government opens its doors to some journalists—be it to the Oval Office, the East Room, or elsewhere—it cannot then shut those doors to other journalists because of their viewpoints,” he continued. “The Constitution requires no less.”

Dramatic Selloff Of U.S. Bonds Hits, Investors Worried About U.S. Economy

On Wednesday, in an apparent response to the latest tariff increase by President Donald Trump on China to 104%, the yield – or interest rate – on the benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury bond rose again, possibly spurring a cut in interest rates by the Federal Reserve.

“The exodus from longer-dated US Treasuries accelerated, fueling the biggest selloff since 2020 in what are supposed to be the world’s safest assets,” Yahoo Finance reported. U.S. Bonds are backed by the government, and the U.S. economy has been the strongest in the world for decades, so investors think the government will not default on them, making them a safe proposition. But they become less valuable as inflation rises, and some investors have been voicing concern that inflation may well result if President Trump’s tariffs are too harsh and are left in place.

On Monday, JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned of inflationary pressure, saying, “Whatever you think of the legitimate reasons for the newly announced tariffs — and, of course, there are some — or the long-term effect, good or bad, there are likely to be important short-term effects. We are likely to see inflationary outcomes, not only on imported goods but on domestic prices, as input costs rise and demand increases for domestic products. Whether or not the menu of tariffs causes a recession remains in question, but it will slow down growth.”

“This is a fire sale of Treasuries,” Calvin Yeoh of Blue Edge Advisors said. “I haven’t seen moves or volatility of this size since the chaos of the pandemic.” (Read more from “Dramatic Selloff Of U.S. Bonds Hits, Investors Worried About U.S. Economy” HERE)

U.S. Woman on Trial in Germany for Stabbing African Migrant Who Was Trying to Rape Her

Germany invited in the chaos and destruction—they literally rolled out the red carpet for it all, and now, women are paying the price. Thanks to years of unchecked mass migration, the country has become a hotbed for violent crime, especially sexual assaults committed by so-called refugees from Africa and the Middle East. But instead of protecting their own citizens—or in this case, an American woman who defended herself during an alleged sexual assault—German officials are once again bending over backwards to cover for the migrant and punish the victim. All so they can preserve their crumbling and failing progressive ideology.

And while German officials and courts attack victims, the truth about what is really happening in their country quietly is making the rounds online. . .

The really bad news for this American woman who fought for her life is that Germany has a deep-rooted culture of shaming victims and protecting violent attackers—especially when those attackers are migrants.

ReMix:

An American woman on trial in Germany for fatally stabbing a 64-year-old Eritrean national during an alleged sexual assault has insisted her actions were solely in self-defense amid what she described as a terrifying ordeal.

Fallyn B., 20, is facing charges of intentional bodily harm resulting in death after she stabbed Alem T., a man originally from Eritrea, during a scuffle at the Kaiserslautern main station in June last year.

According to prosecutors, the altercation began when the man allegedly groped Fallyn B. from behind while both were on an escalator. A heated verbal exchange and physical struggle ensued, during which the young woman pulled a 7-centimeter jackknife, reportedly to scare the man off.

When he attempted to grab her arm, she delivered a single, fatal stab to his upper body. The blade pierced the man’s aorta near his heart, causing him to collapse and die within seconds.

Senate Confirms Elbridge Colby To Top Pentagon Post

In a 54-45 vote, the U.S. Senate voted on Tuesday to confirm Elbridge Colby to be the next under secretary of defense for policy at the Pentagon. Several Democrat senators joined Republicans in supporting Colby, including Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Elisa Slotkin of Michigan, and Mark Kelly of Arizona. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was the lone Republican to vote against the nominee’s confirmation.

Colby’s nomination was advanced to the full Senate following a vote by the Senate Armed Services Committee last week. The committee did not release a final vote tally, only saying in a press release that Colby’s nomination was reported “favorably” in a roll call vote.

As under secretary of defense for policy, Colby will play a significant role in facilitating President Donald Trump’s policy priorities throughout the Defense Department. According to the Congressional Research Service, the position’s office “leads the development of the National Defense Strategy (NDS), routinely represents the Department of Defense (DOD) to interagency and international partners, and has a key role in preserving civilian control of the military.”

Colby previously served as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force development in the first Trump administration. (Read more from “Senate Confirms Elbridge Colby To Top Pentagon Post” HERE)
